When our van broke down and our previous hotel refused to let us stay in the lobby (very cold outside), Baymont went above and beyond with their customer service. We ended up staying two nights there for Reasonable rates and they were pet friendly! Very simple continental breakfast of grab and go, the bed was nice and there was always someone there if you needed help or had a question. We are thankful for your understanding and support during this whirlwind of auto repairs and unknown timelines. We would recommend their hotel to stay.
Pool looked like something out of the Walking Dead, but the staff was really sweet. I got some oatmeal cream pies for breakfast the next morning, so that was cool. Theyre pet friendly, and the room wasnt haunted or anything. Room 405 of the Peoria, AZ LA Quinta off 7th by the spring training camp facility is haunted for sure. So, Id stay here again.
Found a bedbug in my bed room 131 last week felt it crawling on me around 130 am . I immediately called front desk and got my money back and sleptIn my vehicle after I took a shower and threw away any thing I took into the room , . I travel to ft Stockton quite a bit for work . Itβs sad I have to spend a fortune to get a coupleHours of sleep without being afraid of taking some unwanted guest home .
Even though the desk clerk was super nice, the room was horrible. Didnβt even look like they cleaned it, floor was nasty, there was a dirty pink towel in the rest room, coffee pot super dirty, toilet was dirty, and walked into a big spider heading towards restroom this morning.
This is a 5 star 2 star hotel. The king size bed was super comfortable! Iβve never slept so good in a hotel. Ac and fan worked well. Lots of pillows. The soap smelled really good. I took it as a souvenir. The pool was clean. The front desk friendly. I would definitely stay here again. It was pretty run down but our room was clean, although I found a dehydrated blotch of ketchup on the wall hiding behind the table! I would rip up the carpet, you never know what germs are lurking in there. An air freshener would be a nice touch too. THANK YOU!!!
Pet friendly and price would give this hotel a 5 star, but itβs quite old and needs little maintenance, the morning shower took quite a while to warm the water π₯Ά, receptionist very friendly, breakfast was apples, muffins, yogurt, coffee, hard eggs and juiceβ¦ we stayed for 2 nights, our room was not cleaned on our first nightβ¦guessing shirt handed??? Would recommend for quick stays
Had to knock on the front door several times, to get an attendant, just to check in. Stains everywhere. Every blanket on the bed had stains. The shower was a complete mess, it looked like they threw an anti slip pad on the bottom to cover a hole and there was permanent mildew marks everywhere, as well as cracks and black stains. They didnt even bother cleaning the desks, there was some sort of slimy substance that we had to clean off. Electrical outlets barely held plugs. AC kindof worked. We woke up to find roaches one one of the tables. One of the very worst hotels that I have stayed in.
Didnt love it, chose it based on Baymont I stay in in Phoenix without reading reviews, oops. Recent Soda or coffee rings on nightstand noticed as soon as I walked in, not the cleanest by any means carpet really looked bad too. Pleasant staff, plenty of parking especially for larger vehicles. Shower was dirty too, residual soap and hair.
The room was dirty. Carpet was stained. Bathroom was very dirty. Grout was a mess. Shower diverter did not work properly. Water temperature was not hot.Entry door did not lock and unlock properly. People were on the parking lot arguing loudly from 2am until 5am. Will never etsy at a Baymont property again.
This was one of the worst motels I have ever stayed at. Front desk staff was rude and tried to charge me twice. Website showed theyβll offered free breakfast, but in reality all they had was coffee if you were there before 8am.Upon giving me the room card, they told me that I had to push hard on the door because it sticks. And boy did it. I hurt my shoulder pushing it open. The bed was all rumpled and looked like it had been slept in already. The bathtub was not very clean either. The outside parking lot was all broken up. I was afraid I would ruin my tires or suspension.Avoid this place if you have any sense!
They need to tear this place down. The toilet ran all night. The carpet had stains all over. They had a recliner that had stains all over it. It was so bad that Goodwill wouldnt even take it. I know I should have left. But, I had been driving all day and just needed to stop. I had stayed there several times before and did not have any issues. In the last couple of years it has really gone down hill.
This place was so run down. The carpet is filthy. The shower has rust in it. The curtains are falling down. It is nothing like the picture. The beds are small and feel like full size instead of queens. I felt dirty just touching anything. Pay a little bit extra and stay at a nicer place. This is not what I expect from a Wyndham at all. They need to renovate this place and fix things. The air conditioner didnβt work well at all. I hate to see how hot it would be in the dead of summer. This was just a really bad place to stay. Save your money and go someplace else.
Do not stay here if you have a remote amount of cleanliness standards. Pros: Check-in attendant was super nice & friendly, linens & towels were clean, internet worked well (we needed this for our childs online classes before checkout), & our a/c systems were not completely swampy like most of these type of units are, & it was a really quiet location. Cons: Thank God I had my own disinfectants with me in one of our moving boxes in the car, but honestly, the rooms arent so inexpensive on weekday night that I should have to clean as much as I did to feel my family would be ok or that the rooms deserve this much lack of attention. Im still concerned we may develop something in the next few days-sad when you are exhausted have to tell your tired family Try really hard not to touch anything unnecessarily. Travelling during COVID is already stressful enough honestly. We all woke up feeling really grimy... for me it was akin to how I felt in the morning after being in a bar with smokers the night before back in my 20s... just dry, gross, & like you cant wash that feeling off or out of your hair. I was honestly SHOCKED at how unclean the rooms were considering COVID. The carpeting is soooooooo old, dark green (indicating 90s era???), wall to wall, & dirty/dusty in every crevice as it goes up the walls about 2 inches. Had tons of stains & since we know pets stay here... well, yes. We wore our shoes or socks anytime we walked around. Management would do better just removing it completely & painting/sealing the concrete underneath so that that they can be mopped between guests. One of our bathrooms had brown mildew/gunk in it that adhered to the sides (indicative of someone who had clearly not used the wand thoroughly) & the other smelled very badly of male urine. The showers did not drain well, had rust & a bit of hair on the drains, & you could tell they were not wiped down well. I felt compelled to wear my flip flops while taking a shower like when I go camping. Mirrors had the type of streaks on them that let you know they were probably not cleaned with glass cleaner or disinfectant but more like water or soapy water. All doors, switchplates, handles, curtains etc.were visibly dirty. I got the feeling that smokers were allowed to stay in the past although it advertsed as non-smoking rooms. There is NO coffee, breakfast, not even granola bars or fruit right now again, due to COVID - although many other hotels around the country continue to offer at least dry cereal/granola bars/fruit/coffee during these times. Had to stay here very last minute as we were driving for a move & just got too tired to get all the way to El Paso & we had our pets. This is quite honestly the worst LQ Ive stayed ever stayed in & we do quite frequently due to travelling with our dogs. When I was young & broke I paid less for much cleaner rooms. Cant say I feel very rested. Its ok to be an older hotel... just dont be an older AND unclean hotel. Honestly, just removing the carpet & either hiring better cleaning staff or treating your cleaning staff (research shows this makes a huge difference in overall hotel cleanliness) better could really turn things around at this place.
When we got there and got checked in at front desk it was great. We got to the room 103 and it was a different story. The key didnt work after 2x so I stayed in the room while my husband got ice and a soda. There was hairs on the counter and sink and in the bathtub. The coffee had an empty package and 1 condiment pack was missing. We went to sleep only to wake up scratching from something that had bitten us in the bed. We showered in the morning only to get what ever it was off us. The hair dryer had a short cause it didnt work but for a second. We went for breakfast only to find the saddest contenintialbreakfast I have ever seen. We ended up going to McDonalds acrossed the street. I wouldnt recommend stay here. They have some kinda bug issue.
The receptionist was sick, he did not use a mask during my check-in while his nose was running. He was kind but sick... and during COVID-times, that is unacceptable !!! He offered breakfast for next morning... I didnt take even a cookie obviously π§. The room in general was bad shape, the carpet dirty and the bathroom curtains broken.
Very poor customer service. Room smelled foul and mildewy, no breakfast as mentioned, pool was slimy and hasnt been maintained, plu-size girl at the front desk was very rude when she couldnt find my reservation thru Hotels.com so she was attempting to kick me and my family out, even after staying 3 nights prior and showing her the email receipt where I had reserved the room already. Very displeased with this hotel and its staff.
Staff was very friendly. When I checked in, the girl clearly had her male companion visiting. He immediately went outside, and stayed outside until I was done checking in. She paid full attention to me, answered all of my questions, it was incredibly helpful. The room was clean. I have no complaints about the property at all. The next morning the staff was very friendly. I went and had complementary breakfast which was OK. If youβre looking for something glamorous, this is not it, but if you were looking for a good nights sleep, this is perfect. If you were looking for a safe place to sleep and know that your U-Haul will be fine, this is totally the place. The office staff will make sure that nothing happens to your vehicle
I left Los Angeles Crapafornia to move to Alabama to work at Dinosaur adventure land... its free so check it out ppl, anyways I stayed at motel 6 in Tucson AZ last night... this place here is much better and cheaper, they have a better TV a Samsung here with Netflix on it, you have to sign into your account, motel 6 didnt have shampoo and conditioner, the towels here are softer and better quality, they have a fridge and microwave, I dont eat food that have been bombarded with dangerous radiation but Im sure you do. They have a Bible here... dont think there was one at motel 6, here they have a coffee making in the room and a ironing board and make your clothes hot with no wrinkles thingy, bedding was nicer and the shower pressure is better, the cute young female in the front was friendly to, now theres probably motel 6s nicer than this but this place is great, plus its right off the freeway. Bible is the truth ppl so study it, look around you not much time left and no promises youll be alive tomorrow.
This is definitely an older hotel that is in need of some upgrades, especially considering the several new hotels just across the parking lot. The beds are decent, but needs new bedding. The pool was infested with wasps so it was completely unusable. Plus, it was apparently the hangout for chain smokers. It wasnt an awful place, but I would have rather spent a little more for a better experience. Their pet friendly policy is the only reason we stayed.
This property appears to be in somewhat disrepair and in need of renovations. The rooms were clean but the fixtures need updates. The personnel were consistently friendly cheerful and helpful. The complementary breakfast was well prepared and served. More than adequate parking space was available but the open lot needed pavement repair and markings.
My wife and I were traveling across country and needed to stop for the night. The night prior we had an awful experience at a red roof inn so we were not expecting much from a middle of nowhere hotel but our stay was great. Quiet, clean, plenty of parking for things big or little and the staff is awesome. Keep in mind that this isnβt some fancy resort. Itβs a little dated (not much really) but you get cleanliness. I didnβt see anything to comment on or back up based on some of the negative reviews. So to sum it up, no bugs, clean, quiet and the customer service is excellent. Shoutout to the dude who checked us in last night. You the real MVP.
The room was ok. The bath tub looked like it had something growing in it so I did not shower. Tub was dripping for my entire 1 day stay. The rooms advertise free breakfats on the website and on hotels.com but when you check-in there is no breakfast option which was a surprise. All other la quintas I have stayed at recently offered a breakfast option including the one I stay in the nignt prior.
This hotel is disgusting. The sheets had never been washed they had stains all over. The bathroom was even worse. The bathtub had packs of dirt and little trash . The carpet was disgusting. The front office staff was not wearing a mask and there were no precautions taken to assure customers of covid awareness.A full refund was given thanks to Expedia!
We stopped at this place for the night on 7/15/19. It was very outdated. The only expectation I had was for a clean room. However, the toilet was not very clean. When I stepped in the shower, I found 2 dirty wash towels with hair on them, hanging on the curtain rod. At this point I was not even sure if the sheets were even changed because the amount of wrinkles they had. I give 2 stars because of the free breakfast. The waffle maker was a nice touch.
Rooms are outdated and dirty. Dead roach on floor by bed, crumbs along all walls and around bed frames (please vacuum better). Top comforters are white, but not really because they looked like they had dirty shoe prints all over them. Parts of roof falling off outside. We normally love La Quinta for our family and pet. This place is dirty and not well cared for.
Does not look like the pictures and we came down to breakfast an hour before breakfast was over and there was nothing left. Was told we should have come earlier because everyone else did. I love La Quinta normally. Wish I stayed somewhere else. But it was clean. Just not updated as photos showed.
Quaint and affordable pet friendly hotel in Fort Stockton, TX. The staff was very friendly. The walls of the room seemed paper thin and kept my furbaby on guard with every unfamiliar sound from the next room. The bathroom was quite small and I could only find one accessible wall outlet to charge my cellphone. Plus the light switch was not working when I entered the room and I had to turn on the lamp light which only one lamp in the room worked. I was only there for all of 6 hours (just enough rest to keep driving on) so in that case the cost of the hotel served its purpose. Would not recommend for long stays.
First, this isnβt a hotel itβs a motel! This place isnβt good for people with disabilities and thatβs a shame. Second, room was dirty, carpets are all stained, and when I laid and covered myself the sheets were stained and wet!! The girls in the front desk are extremely rude, I greeted them with a smile and a simple βhelloβ and she literally ignored me and just asked if I had a reservation, Racist? The cleaning ladies both that were working that day are extremely rude and knock like 2 times and just open the door donβt even say βroom serviceβ or anything. I booked a night for $89 a night, and the next day it was $170. Do yourself a favor and just go stay at motel 6, cleaner rooms, cheaper rate, and more friendly staff!
I generally like La Quinta, but this place was awful. To start, our room was dirty, with numerous stains on the carpet, dust on many surfaces, and beds that were so poorly made we had to partially strip and remake them. The water was disgusting. The bathroom was small and moldy. The mirror was cleaned with a filthy rag such that a gressy haze covered the areas that had been cleaned. The door looked like it had been kicked in and never repaired properly. Finally, with only 3 available electrical outlets in the room with which to charge phones, one would hope they would all work, but no, there was but one working socket. All in all, I recommend going elsewhere. UPDATE most places I stay serve breakfast until 9:30 or 10:00. Here it is 9 on the nose. They did not tell us the hours on check in so at 8:59, after walking the dogs, we went for breakfast and had the door shut in or faces without so much as an acknowledgment.
Good: Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Area is quiet. Beds are comfy. Dogs are allowed at no extra charge. WiFi works well.Bad: Shower head leaked. Cable wasnt hooked up. My husband is a maintenance guy so he noticed a few other things.Overall it was good stay, maybe not quite worth $90 but we would stay here again.
This La Quinta is really nice inside and out. It is close the road but you do not hear the traffic at all. I like that you are able to park outside the door so you can be sure to see the car. The coffee for breakfast was amazing. The beds were very comfortable and I am happy that we chose to stay here. There was an issue where there had been a water leak that they did let dry or dry the carpet, but it was a small section in the corner so it did not negatively impact our stay. If you going to Fort Stockton, pay the extra and stay here.
Room was in need of painting and some maintenance. Shower was high volume and easy to control. Quiet no elevator to get to second floor. If you are disabled, this is likely a big problem. Friendly staff, decent continental breakfast choices. Waffle maker made waffles in shape of Texas.
Large carpeted ground floor room. Carpet vacuumed but certainly not clean. No hot water even after running tub and faucet 20 minutes. Room has clearly been broken into at some point based on poorly repaired door jamb still showing damage. βHotβ breakfast is overcooked ice cold hard boiled eggs, white bread or bagel, couple choices of small muffins and cold cereals. Instant oatmeal or self made waffles must be the hot part of your breakfast offering.Way overpriced for the βvalueβ
We arrived past midnight with no reservation and the lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Everything in the room was perfect and super clean. For our surprise, it even had microwave oven and a small fridge! Breakfast was nice as well, there was a guy refilling everything all the time.
After reading some of the reviews, I was nervous about staying at this hotel. I am glad that I checked it out for myself. When I first walked in, I was greeted with a smile and How are you today and what can I do for you? I got a room with 2 beds. Rooms were very clean, ac worked great as it was 102 there. Beds were very nice and bathroom was very clean. The continental breakfast was more than what a continental breakfast should be. All in all, this hotel was more than worth the $79.00 I paid for the room for the 2 of us. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We stay here every year on our road trip, and while the rooms are always clean and ready when we arrive, the amenities and pricing at this La Quinta fall short of others we have stayed at. The beds are okay but not great and some of the furnishings are in need of maintenance/repair. Overall, its a decent motel out here in the middle of West Texas.
Its a La Quinta, so your standards cant really be THAT high. It was a decent room. No bugs or loud neighbors or anything like that. Seemed to be in a good area. Hot water worked well. My only problem was that the iron in my room was all burnt and I needed to iron a white shirt (which that iron would have definitely ruined). Besides that, not a bad place.
Okay. To start...there was four of us booked in one room like scheduled; yet only 3 towels. Now we would of gone to ask for another towel...but the lady didnt seem like she was in the mood to get us one. Carrying on...the room smelled old and like mildew, and none of the outlets worked properly, the beds were old and itchy feeling. In the bathroom, the toilet was disgusting, and didnt flush all the way. The shower had one of those shower floor matts...which was slimy and looked covered in mold and placed perfectly around the shower was pubic hair (we didnt use the shower til the next morning.)The three towels they gave us were fine...until one of us flipped it over and noticed blood stains...FANTASTIC!! Please save your money...this place is rundown and Wasnt worth almost $100 for one night.
Absolutely disgusting. Drove 8hrs from east TX with 2 small children and made them keep their socks and shoes on while in the dog hair covered room. Shower didnt drain and after 3min my ankles were under water. Beds looks like they had been slept in and remade, all the bath tissue was gone, the floors were filthy and hadnt been vacuumed in ages. The sign said room had been serviced by Emily, what a joke.We tried to check out and move to another hotel but everything was sold out on a holiday weekend, so the staff offered a discount if we stayed, but upon checkout we were told we already had the military discount so no others would apply. What a joke, the manager couldnt be bothered to come talk with Us. Do not stay here, $150+ for the night.
Ive stayed at more than a few La Quinta Inns and this one ranks at the bottom. Called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket and was told that there were none. Really? I ended up using towels as blankets for one of my young kiddos. Overall the place was clean-ish and our car didnt get broken into, so thats the redeeming value. We were on the first floor and could hear every sound from upstairs. We stay at this brand when were traveling with our small dog, but will likely pony up the pet fee at an alternate location next time we stay in Fort Stockton.
Horrible. The original room I booked was not available when I got there. I went into the room they gave me and there were no sheets on the beds. Then they assigned me a second floor room with no elevator, and I had two tired dogs and luggage. Not a good experience. To their credit, they did eventually get me a clean room and guest services was pleasant.
While the outside is a bit run down the room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The woman Nohemi at the front desk was so very kind and helpful. Great channels on the tv as well! We are moving to arizona and had lots of stuff we couldnt leave in the bed of our truck so we asked for a lower level room and Nohemi was very kind and helped us out with that, and the big room was perfect!!! Overall great stay and wonderful customer service thank you!(:
They charge you daily price rate for 6hours stay. I was awakened by maid at 9AM by her walking in the room on two separate occasions. I checked in at 5am to rest before a funeral I had to attend. At 11?am customer service representatives knocked hard on the door and told us to leave at 12PM and when I explained I checked in at 5am he extended our time to 1pm. The Pillow had mold stains on it. The comforter had red and little black stains on them. I had no good customer service here. Be careful you will be ripped off.
I waited an hour to be checked after driving 10 hours. I was in the lobby and could hear movement of what seemed like furniture, above us. There were several of people wanting to check in. I stood in the lobby calling their phone and no one showed up to answer it. I sat in my car for 15 more minutes contemplating another hotel and they finally showed up. I called Expedia who I booked the room through and after 30 minutes of them trying to reach them they gave up. There were TWO of them and you would think at least one of them could be at the desk. For the price i paid i expected amore to the date room. Old stained carpet. Leaking tub faucet. Will all that, the room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. I had a good nights sleep.
I suppose any roadside motel chain is you get what you pay for. And truthfully this was a sleep-only on an extended drive. So the location is wonderful, right off the highway. But the safety factor is a bit questionable when youre hauling expensive hunting equipment and its so close to a field. But nothing happened, and they do try to have adequate lighting in the parking areas. The big complaint was that our room smelled like urine. Wasnt inside, but someone clearly urinated on the corner outside which is exactly where our AC was sucking in air. That also represents the darkest area, leading to the big rig parking. All in all, a bad night, but breakfast was free, decent, and wifi free. So the chain is alright, just open to bad moments.
Stayed in room 105. The bed sheets were cleaned, but stained. The room itself, was old and outdated. The bathroom smelled of mildew so we had to leave the fan running. There were practically no power outlets in the room to use. Not enough parking for the facility, we had to park across the building. At breakfast, the waffle mix they use was extremely doughy making for dense disgusting waffles. All in all you pay LQ prices for cheap motel quality.
We booked this at the very last minute. When we arrived the first room that was given to us, the door lock didnt work. We were able to just open the door without using the key. We went back to the desk to switch rooms. the next room we were given, the toilet was covered in urine, pubic hair and toilet paper. The one positive thing i can say for this place was that because of the problems we faced, they didnt charge us to cancel our reservation. Beware of staying here!
The rooms were stained and dirty, the TV had no remote and after getting a remote from the front desk the TV did not work, the microwave did not work, the bed had accumulated hair and debris under the matress and the rug was very dirty at the edges of the room. One star might be unfair taken as a whole because it does have comfortable beds and at least tries to provide some amenities, but it is the worst hotel Ive stayed in for 20 years and cost me more than a Motel 6 would have, so based on my comparison I feel one star is reasonable.
On 07/17/2019, my family stayed in two rooms and we had issues with toilets on both. One was unclean and then we found a baby snake on the other (photos attached)... We checked-in late and so we went to have dinner right away that night. Coming back we discovered the uncleaned toilet and reported it but there was no abailable housekeeper to take care of it, so we had to deal with the issue personally. Early next morning we found a snake on the other toilet and this issue was timely abated after being reported. At checkout, I wanted to talk to the manager about our experience but was informed that the manager was out cleaning rooms. So, they took my phone number and I was promised the manager will contact me. As of 08/03/2019, I have not heard from the manager or any one from La Quinta.
The hotel is old, the decor is very much out-dated, and the carpet in my room was excessively stained, which made it feel dirty even if it wasnt. As always with La Quinta, the staff was super friendly and the bed was comfortable. It was not the best La Quinta at which Ive stayed, but there are worse options. I am a fan regardless of the imperfections as pets stay free.
Housekeeping has so much to be desired. Definitely not up La Quinta standards. Soiled bed linen, pet hair on bed spread, spots in carpet, and a minor point of issue, there was no tissue in the room. Now the plus. Fantastic management who was TRULY interested in rectifying the issue. Give her time and she will certainly have the Fort Stockton La Quinta up to par.
This had to be the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at. First the computers werent working correctly for check in...The room had several things wrong. 1st the bedding was terrible dingy, mattress had cigarette burns, the bathroom had what appeared to be dead bugs in the light fixture on ceiling, rust in the bath tub, continously running cold water and desk had stains. I WOULDNT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE I KNOW.
I have stayed at many La Quinta Inns and this one was a disappointment. I suppose theres not much competition but I paid $5 more in Tucson and the room was twice as nice. This room was adequate and clean but the hotel is straight from 1972. Breakfast was inedible. Muffins were frozen (thawed) and rubbery. Coffee was an instant coffee machine! I mean come on. How hard is it to make fresh coffee? I would not stay here again.
Best Internet on this 3 week trip. Quietest A/C. Okay pastries, cereal, and fruit. Automatic coffee making machine. Did not try it. Desk clerk fetched plates and tableware from breakfast room so we could eat our leftovers. Old building, visible gaps around the door. Mixed smoking and non-smoking rooms. Odd smell, maybe smell of chemicals to remove smoke? Smell of mold in bathroom
The staff was friendly at reception and checkout. The room was good, but had some better amenities such nice flat screen TV with about 30 HD cable channels. Other standard additions were the mini-fridge, microwave, and desk area. The bed linens, bath area were average, but suitable. The parking was in a well-lit area directly outside of my room (motel style rooms). The breakfast was filling and tasty. I especially liked the self-cook Texas shaped Belgian waffles.
This room was fine for a rest while on the road. I would refer to it as functional. We were on a cross country road trip and needed somewhere to sleepover. It served itβs purpose. They did supply a pretty good breakfast. Dominos did deliver. The only part I donβt understand was this particular La Quinta was more expensive than any of the others on our trip, including Phoenix, Houston, and NOLA?
Clean and well maintained with large rooms. . Outside entrance to each room enables you to park in front of your door, making it easy to load and unload. Microwave, n refrigerator. Good value includes WiFi and big breakfast. If you are a member, you can get about every fifth night free.
My husband and I stayed one night on our way from San Diego to San Antonio. We were not impressed. Pros: allows dogs and the bed is comfortable. Cons: there was hair all over the bathroom, the room smelled really bad, the decor was very outdated, and we were not informed about breakfast upon check in. We could handle it for one night, but not longer than that.
Average, far from the best but also far from the worst. Had to move rooms because mine wouldnt open, took about 30 minutes which was annoying. But it was clean, and no bugs in the rooms. Fact is its an old hotel in a town full of new ones, and its aging like milk, but you could do worse.Updated review: lowered my review from 3 star to 2. Ive stayed here several times now for work, and Ive seen the prices of the rooms go from low/sub 100 dollars to well over 200 on some nights. Effectively theyve doubled their profits because of the oil field workers like me, but the quality of the hotel hasnt changed a bit. Just tonight I had to move rooms because the A/C in mine would not cool the entire room (guess the hamster got tired), and now in the new room the A/C is barely working any better. You would think that the one thing they cared about would be the A/C, since this hotel is conveniently located in THE DESERT, but apparently not.Addendum to update: Ive moved rooms for a second time, this being my third room and the a/c is the same. It must be some kind of power saving setting theyve activated in the units. There is no difference between low fan and high fan. Im not some kind of hot natured freak, Im a regular person laying 2 feet from the unit and cannot even feel the air reaching me. The only positive I can say is that Corey at the front desk is extremely helpful and has at least done his best to try and help me. Besides his great service, this is pretty pathetic.
This place may have been upgraded whilst I was not looking. A very good value and really nice rooms. everything one needs is here. The plugs could be a bit more accessible, but this is such a common problem, I carry a short extension cord with a three way end so I can plug in the computer, the tablet, and the cell phone. Still need a spot for the camera charger and her phone too. I guess I am a power hound. oh well, back to the hotel. Clean, nice, fresh, nice tv, quiet fridge (that is a big plus as often I have to unplug them for real quiet), microwave, bevelled mirrors, side mirrors on the sink for better views, easy parking, and handily right off the I 10. I guess it has all I need.
The worst place Ive stayed. The carpet was old, comeing apart and stained, it smelled very bad like cigarettes and urine. Thanks to my wife that she had Febreze that she had bought earlier or the room would have not been bearable. We were traveling back home form the Holidays and was late and tired or else we would have not stayed. The ceiling of the shower was falling from water damage. This La Quintana Inn just plan out sucked..... I just read others comments and instead of the owners apologizing do something about it.
I arrived late and only stayed one night, but the staff was friendly and helpful. I also appreciated that parking was plentiful and well-lit. Comfortable rooms, but the wifi network is open, which I dont love. In all, a comfortable and affordable stay on my way through Texas.
It was a place to sleep, that allowed me to have my dogs, without extra charge. That said, only having non smoking rooms on the second floor available, wasnt the best. No elevators, 2 little dogs, and a bag to carry upstairs, was not easy at all. The breakfast wasnt really exciting, so grabbed that from elsewhere.
DISGUSTING. Room #139. This hotel is the absolute worst. When you walk into the room the air feels thick and dirty. There are stains all over the carpet. The bed hardly looked made..very loose. The sheets felt damp and the comforter....ugh. I used the comforter as a walkway to the bathroom...I wouldnt touch the carpet with my bare feet. There are stains on the walls. The trim around the door from inside the room is chipped and stained. The trim around the door in the bathroom is also chipped and stained...stained with what?! I paid $169 for one night and have never had a worse experience. In addition to the terrible environment, the service was just as bad. I come into the front office in the morning and ask for towels...they only gave us 2 for a party of 4. I ask the housekeeper leaning against the wall for towels and she motions with her head to the front desk lady that is helping another guest. I patiently wait with my 2 and 4 year old in the lobby for the front desk agent to become available...I request 2 towels and the front desk agent goes behind the counter and picks them up right in front of the housekeeper leaning against the wall!!!! Unbelievable. I will NEVER stay at a LaQuinta again...ever.The owner should be embarrassed.
The staff was friendly but thats the only nice thing I can say about this LaQuinta. This hotel needs major updates. Everything is so old, worn, stained, and smells like cigarettes that I cant even tell if its clean. The shower is leaking. The door to the room doesnt work right.
Clean room in an older hotel with outside entry doors. Its well taken care of in a town that is part of the oilfield cycle. Its just a s quiet as any other place in Ft Stockton, near the highway and walking distance to the Walmart. If you choose to do that walk do be careful around sundown and after dark, some motor vehicle traffic does not respect that curve in the dark.
Clean rooms, nice continental breakfast with waffles , only protein is HB eggs and yogurt. Beds are great but pillows too firm for a neck thats been in the car all day. Building is a bit tired on the exterior , but staff is nice. Definitely stay here again - but Id bring in my own pillow!
Very nice staff, and rooms are clean and comfortable. Parking is plentiful and near rooms and stairs. Walmart a short walk away. Pool looked clean, but small. However, there was a nasty smell outside one of the buildings like someone threw away some fish in a dumpster outside.
I am writing this review in my room at 7 am after a horrible night I spent here. This is indeed my worst hotel experience in my life time. The strong awful odor of the room kept me awake all the night. I could not take a shower because of dirty bathroom with shower curtains that seems to be never cleaned. I should have listened to other reviews.
This is a sub-standard La Quinta hotel, its just a rebranded old motel in desperate need of renovation. Ive stayed at many La Quintas and Ive never seen one in such bad shape. The first room I had smelled musty and like cigarettes. I changed rooms and lost the cigarette smell, but still very musty. Wyndham hotels needs to just sell this property and build a proper hotel.
Rates r crazy for visitors . Nothing in this Dusty hell whole. Discounted rates only 4 for veterans & cant even call that a discount. Way over priced for these rooms, which is disgusting & I am Only working out here. Its sad, dead & just 1 of many hell holes in this part of the world. Dog piss in every corner of our room per our dog which holds his bladder any other place. Not recommended unless its the bed... sorry but the truth. Obviously gm doesnt care
Staff is great but the overall facility is not like the La Quintas weve been to before. I always chose La Quinta because theyve never failed on quality, but this failed miserably. The sheets are stained, the room smells of mold, doesnt looks like its been remodeled since the 80s. Didnt get a full nights sleep because the mattress and the smell. Extremely disappointed
This is a motel not a hotel. Most of the people staying there were driving commercial trucks presumably for the oil and gas industry. Not the nicest place to stay. Id probably try something else next time. Breakfast was basically bagels and fruit. I was told there was a hot breakfast but they ran out.
Everything was ok until the bathroom. It was dingy and dirty with mold. The employees were accommodating. Just one thing though. If you need to use a pack and play the women at the front counter will tell you they dont have one available. They do. Housekeeping can get it for you.Youre pretty much getting what you pay for though.
After a long day of driving, we pulled into La Quinta after making a reservation online. Staff was friendly however the hotel itself was in rough shape. Rooms are dirty with sheets that dont fully cover the mattress. Our toilet leaked all night and bathtub floor was black due to lack of cleaning and staining. The TV was without a remote and there wasnt a wifi code. Definitely not worth the $90 we paid. If your choice is the La Quinta in Fort Stockton or to keep driving... keep driving.
We had two pets with us. One was chewing something he found on the floor. I reached down to retrieve the item from the dogs mouth and was stuck by a used hypodermic needle. I ended up in the ER. Three more needles were found under the bed. Clearly the room was not cleaned properly. Hotel picked up the room charge but the hospital bill is still pending with their insurance company. I have been traumatized since the incident because I have been sick since the incident and do not know if it related.
Hotel is clean but i had booked my room requesting a first floor room. Was told no problem. When i arrice at location i was told they are first come first served and basically tuff. I am an elite rewards member and was not even offered my elite gift bag as well. Not to mention everytime i have stayes at this location there is never anyone waiting at front desk. I guess customer service has been lost
Very easy access from highway. Close to Walmart and restaurants. Front desk Lexy, was very nice and welcomed us and our 2 Weiner dogs in. Room was very nice, thanks to Housekeeper Vivian, clean and the king bed room was nice size. Great place to catch a rest from the road.
We went to Ft. Stockton to visit our friends. In stalying at the hotel, my husband almost fell in the shower (my husband is an amputee). The railing in the shower WAS NEVER SECURED!!! He was lucky that the cheap sticky mat (which by the way was peeling off) helped him keep his footing, or it would have been a bad situation.
Stopped here for the night. The room had a musky smell and looked like someone did a 2 minute clean. The sheets were stained and one bed had hair all on the pillows and in the sheets. We slept in a sleeping bag on top of the bed. The other bed looked like it was clean. I wont be stopping here again.
After seeing the third cockroach within an hour of checking in and crawling across the bed/pillows, we left. I wouldnt give it any stars other than the night guy was nice and apologetic. His attitude was the only thing this hotel had going for it.The overall room was dirty and moldy.
In one word, sketchy. I assumed this La Quinta was like the many others I had stayed at. So I was shocked when I showed up and staff seemed less than enthusiastic, parking lot was dimly lit, people were meandering about and spitting off the upper walkway. After seeing the room, I sat in the car with my family for around 40 minutes trying to find another place, but we have the curse of traveling with a cat so it was either this or a huge non-refundable pet deposit.La quinta needs to stop buying old, defunct motels and stick to hotels.
This hotel is disgusting, and smells. Yes, I get its just quick stop to sleep , but I dont want to sleep with bed bugs, and musky smells of pets. There even a stain soiled into the carpet that looks like they didnt even bother cleaning. Thank gawd all La Quintas arent like this.
The first star goes because it was next to a Walmart. The second star its because the morning staff was friendly. Other than that for 157.00 a night you expect more. Then having the bathroom faucet running. Flies everywhere floor so filthy that after you get out of the shower your feet turned instant black. Cracks in the doors other than the outlets around the vanity mirrors there are no Outlets next to the bed unless you unplug the light or clock. All of this would have been okay if I spend 60 or 50 bucks even 75 at the highest for the hotel but $157 you expect Marriott quality.
If you stay here just pray you dont have a room next to someone who stands outside their room smoking cigarettes all night and talking on their cell phone. All in all though the room is fine. Bed is good, water runs hot, microwave works, and the tv is a decent size.
Horrible hotel. After reading previous reviews they apparently have an issue with the staff remaining at the front desk not greeting guests or responding to guest. Was only going to be in the area for a day. The staff not present at front desk for over 15 minutes. Save your money and stay at the Best Western or Candlewood.
The quality of this hotel is disappointing when compared with other La Quintas in different areas if Texas in the same price range. The carpets feel grimy, bathrooms look outdated and dirty, and the digital clock in the room emitted some kind of noise or alarm at 12am midnight. I had to groggily unplug it from the wall. The generally strong brand image of La Quinta is tarnished by the quality of this inn. I will be looking for other inns that are better value when staying in Fort Stockton going forward.
This is a very rude and racist hotel to an extreme! I cant believe this would still happens in 2015. I am Asian, when I called to make a reservation I was told by the associate that there is no one single rooms available the entire night which I know they do, as I just called them few minutes ago, and one associate confirmed with me they do. So my white friend decided to call for me and...boom, there is a room available!! Not only the associate kept telling me there is no room available with bad attitude, and she even hang up on me! Worst hotel with reservation experience my whole life! I wanted to give it a -5 star not 1. forget about calling them if you arent white.
Some areas of west Texas have changed...in both availability and pricing of decent motel accommodations. The oil field boom is the obvious reason and Im sure the oil companies dont mind setting up their workers in high-priced, overpriced motels. They can afford it.My wife and I are fortunate to be able to travel and Ft Stockton was a recent overnight stay to catch the awesome Geminid meteors last month. Central TX was heavily overcast. We stay at Marriotts, Best Westerns and la quintas on our trips. I was surprised at the ft Stockton Fairfields (Marriotts) high price, nearly $200. Ok, so for around $140 we booked la quinta. Big mistake. This was not any kind of la quinta weve stayed at in the past. From the worn-out lobby, worn-out room, to the lousy breakfast (the only eggs available were hard-boiled), this is no la quinta. This place should either be torn down or have a complete redo. The gouging of the hard working oil workers and/or their companies who actually pick up the tab is one thing. Charging $140 per night to typical travelers for a less-than-expected stay just because you can is something else. Meteors were great. Shoulda stayed at the fairfield, despite their gouging prices, too.
Very run down, by far the worst La Quinta I have ever stayed in...........Parking Lot in huge disrepair, grass not trimmed, wood support post for 2nd floor in bad state of repair, front entrance door chippe, gouged, needs at least painted, ALL in ALL reminds me of an old Motel 6 that they remodeled the rooms !!!!! Speaking of rooms differently not up to La Quinta Inn Standards!!!!!!GUESS I HAVE SAID ENOUGH WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.......
It was still dirty from previous people or person staying in room, called front desk and all she said oh im sorry and the cleaners wont be in til 7 or 8 am, and after working night shift and coming to a room not even clean is pretty bad, couldnt even get another room according to front desj due to it being slow out. Wouldnt even give a 1 one π!
This inn was somewhat of a disappointment in its appearance on both the outside and inside. It looks like a motel and the room inside felt cheap. Our keys stopped working the second day and we had to go back to the front desk to reactivate them. Besides that the stay was fairly close to a Walmart which was somewhat convenient, but there werent many pros otherwise.
Stay away especially with Covid the room I got was disgusting the room had not even been vacuumed, crumbs on the floor sticky soda stains all over the counter topsUnbelievable that during covid that they are this careless .The sheets had stains from previous guestsThat should say all you need to know
Being in the heart of oilfield country, nothing is cheap. Yes, its somewhat dated, but unlike a lot of hotels in the area that cash in on oilfield workers and let their properties fall into disrepair, I pulled up, people were on the roof taking care of things, painters were also working, so they are actually making it nicer. As a heavy transport driver, there is a huge abandoned truck stop adjacent to the hotel where I can easily pull in with a 13 axle and turn around without scrubbing the tires.
Had to kick the door open after using the key. Buildings and rooms are old and have no elevator. Front desk is useless for help. Room is comparable to the motel 6 in fort Stockton so avoid this hotel.Bathroom grout is breaking up. Microwave is just placed on top of fridge in a corner as shown in pic.
Staff was friendly and good rv/ trailor parking but other than that the rooms and pool are dirty, hair everywhere! Broken door handle on both rooms we were given, not even an alarm clock in the room. Manager did give us a discount, just an old run down building. Breakfast was ok. Also, avoid the near by walmart at all costs if you can.
Pretty sorry if you ask me, Id rather camp out on the interstate somewhere. Some time ago, say a couple of years, I stayed there in the summer....AC broke (79 in room) and cockroaches! They refunded my money, of which I refunded back to the Veterans charity I Command. Then, as a good sport, I called recently to give it another chance. Well, not impressed. The young woman I spoke with on the phone when I said I was representing the DAV and also Im a member of the VFW...she said what are those? A hem. What are we teaching our children? I mean, as a 100% disabled veteran, Im NOT special, and no ones hero. But, geez. Then, after leaving my name and number....crickets. No call from the GM. I suggest staying someplace else. UPDATE...2-18-19 Im in Ft. Stockton again. The GM called me personally. I already made reservations somewhere else....but, Ill give em another chance soon. Its not that things go wrong...they will all the time...its your response that makes a difference. see ya soon.
We checked in @ 11:00-11:30 pm. Had planned to sleep in late since we had been traveling for several days. We were started with a knock at the door @ 9:00 am sharp House cleaning called the front desk. Put your DND sign up there wasnt one in room. 9:20 am. Knock again, Maintenance are kidding me? Stayed in many La Quintas before and never a problem, will not be staying here again. Very outdated but yet the most expensive La Quinta we have stayed in even with a Military Discount.
I am a former La Quinta gold member. I booked this room for my husband tonight while hes driving to Phoenix. He is very disappointed in this facility. For the same price per night inLivingston TX, Muskogee OK and even the tired one in Overland Park KS. This is shabby and not up to usual La Quinta standards. Wish Id booked him at the Super 8!! Shame shame for using the La Q brand on a tired old Ramada Inn!
I am very very disappointed .This La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Fort Stockton is not following the cleaning procedures and not following the COVID 19 guidelines. I will make a report this hotel should not be in used until they bring the cleanliness up to par. I watch a housekeeper enter a room which minutes before the customer left with their belongings. She went in with a spray and rags no linens was out of room within 2 mins and headed to the next room. This issue has been going on apparently for a awhile so the problem lies with the management over the hotel not doing their job. Things going to change
Called and the lady at the front didnt know if she had rooms available..., this was at 3 am youd think she would know if she had rooms. She even had to put me on hold. Then said she didnt have any rooms but the website showed four rooms available. Wont be staying with this hotel ever again.
Off all the La Quintas this one was the most run down. It was clean but old and worn out. At $100 A night I felt a little cheated. It wss next to the interstate and I was so tired I didnt resist, the next day I saw all the other brand hotels that looked new and fresh.

2022-03-16The room was clean and comfy. Fluffy pillows and plenty of them. Shampoo and conditioner that smelled great. Big towels, not those little tiny ones. All the appliances... Hair dryer, iron, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Grab and go breakfast. Friendly staff. I blew in off the interstate at like 3am and the clerk was very accommodating. Best sleep and hot shower on my way back from Phoenix to Houston. Checkout is noon... So I definitely slept in. π happy to book here again when I am traveling.

2022-06-28This motel was just what I needed after a long road trip. The night clerk was very welcoming and very informative of the area. The room was clean, quiet and I slept very good. Checking out was simple and the breakfast options were slim; yogurt, water or coffee. I opted for McDonaldβs across the street.

2022-04-08Extremely roomy and within walking distance of Walmart. The pool was out of service but that didnt matter to me.I like the grab and go breakfast they offer. I would stay here again. Thank You so much Judy or I think Lisa for your fast service. You were ready for us with the key and everything before we even walked in the door. Mu h appreciated after a 5 hour drive.

2022-08-30Positive: Room was nice. Ac worked great. Folks were nice. Really wasnΓΒΏt expecting anything decent for the price it was. But I willstay there anytime IΓΒΏm in the area in the future. Really easy access to the interstate. Plenty of options near by for food. Negative: I didnΓΒΏt experience anything negative while there.

2022-04-24The property has clearly fallen into disrepair. Weβve stayed there a few times when it was under a different flag. The bathtub looked dirty. The bedside lamp was broken. The key to the door worked sporadically. The curtains were falling down. The only positives are that the place is dog friendly and the front desk clerk was very pleasant.

2022-08-15Ngl I was kinda nervous after reading the reviews, so I did a thorough inspection of the room upon arrival, and the Baymont was actually one of the nicest motels Ive stayed at this week. The room was odorless and clean. It was a pleasant stay considering the low price.

2022-04-24If there was a zero stars I would rate it that. The rooms had a funky oder, there was a used bar of soap in the tub, the towels were stained and dingy, toilet paper was one ply sandpaper. The curtains were broken so had to get creative in making sure nobody could see in. And my husband found a cockroach on the floor when he came back from getting coffee at a gas station. Most of these have 24 hour coffee in the lobby, but not this one. I travel alot as my husband works away from home and almost always stay at a Baymont by Wyndham. I chose them because they are always located conveniently off the highway and I drive long distances to see my husband. To be honest this was the nastiest one I have ever seen. Good thing Im checking out Monday morning and I can guarantee the next time I come to Fort Stockton I will NOT be staying here. I will pay extra for a better room at a different hotel from now on.

2022-08-26The night and morning shift girls were helpful and sweet. And for the price it was a great stay. Not fancy but comfortable

2022-04-24Positive: My sheets and bathroom were clean, and it was quiet. Most likely due to it not being very busy. Negative: There wasnt any breakfast and the carpet at least in my room needs cleaning.
