This was probably one of worst places weβve stayed in a long time. We were told at check-in that we would have access to a complimentary breakfast. There was nothing other than coffee. The bed was hard, the pillows were hard, the TV did not work the first twenty minutes we were there. And when we tried to call the front desk the phone did not work. After tossing and turning from the bed being so uncomfortable, my husband and I both woke with backaches. Would suggest finding other alternatives.
Room very clean from the bathroom to the bed. Towels & sheets very clean. The lady that checked us in was EXTREMELY awesome. Our room was originally on the second floor but they dont have an elevator and Im still recovering from knee surgery so stairs is still a little much for me. She took the time to find us a room on the first floor. I really appreciated that. Thats what GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABOUT!
We were in town for a family reunion. Between all of us we had 4 rooms. I reserved just 2 nights at first to make sure my sister and I could sleep comfortably because we both have back problems. Then I reserved the following 3 nights. Check in was easy and we were greeted with a smile and made to feel very comfortable. The beds were nice and firm and very comfortable. The pillows were nice and fluffy not lumpy like at most places. The breakfast was great. I especially enjoyed the biscuits and gravy but since Im not a morning person I would have liked it if it was available a little longer. The staff was very helpful and friendly, even the girls that cleaned the rooms were very friendly and eager to please you. My only complaint would be the bathtubs. I understand that they are old and in need of resurfacing but they all could have used a good scoring. The rest of the room was very clean. We will happily stay here again the next time were in Copperas Cove.
Very clean, spacious room. Wonderful, polite, professional staff. Stayed 4 nights with my service dog, and they were wonderful in dealing with us, making sure we had everything we needed, including when/if I wanted my room cleaned during my stay. Felt very safe there as well. They do try to go above and beyond in order to help you. Check in/ out was quick/easy. Room was clean and smelled very good. Thank you. (Would recommend comment cards in rooms and more danishes at the breakfast π)
I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel was quiet and very clean. Although it didnt have a elevator because it was only two floors. They informed me that if I would have let them know they would have put me on the bottom floor. The breakfast was great. It was hot and fresh. The bed was great too.
I must say this is the worst Best Western I have stayed at due to poor housekeeping with hair in the sink and a bug in the room they had the nerve to say Iβll give you a manager discount instead of suggestion Iβll charge you half for the room. at the end of it all I paid 73.45 for only staying there for 5 hours then check out. I wish I could add the pics to show
Great value! We were most impressed by the staff. Typical Full Board Best Western breakfast for a much lower price. Be aware there is no elevator. Staff are amazing. Service exceptional. This is a great stop on the road. Nothing super fancy. Room had generously sized refrigerator, not the typical tiny tiny size, and a microwave. Nice and quiet for a Friday night before the Fourth of July.We had a regular one-king room. Our set up was typical with the refrigerator and microwave in the same piece of furniture as the television screen and dresser. Our friends had a suite, which came with the refrigerator, microwave and a sink in its separate area near the bathroom, a separated seating area with a coffee table, extra lamps, surfaces for placing items, and then the sleeping area. They had a separate dresser near their bed giving them a lot more storage.
Hotel was OK for the price. Breakfast was edible, room was clean, treadmill and elipitical didnt work in the fitness center. I was put in a handicap room even though I am not handicap. Not sure what the difference was but the hotel was pretty empty for Thanksgiving week. I know that the hand held shower head was not so great. I didnt ask for a change of rooms as I figured I could deal with it for 6 nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet worked well.
There is no indoor pool here. The staff was not friendly, they seemed to be bothered when we asked for forks for breakfast. They were out of food most days, the juice machine was not working right. They never said hello, goodbye, have a nice day. It was a comfortable bed, that is about it. The doors are not automatic, it was a pain getting the cart in and out of building.
Our room was not cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. In fact, one day, it wasnt cleaned it all. The days they did clean it, all they did was make the beds and take out the garbage. We stayed for four days, and each day, we were required to ask for fresh towels because they were not replaced in our room. The ceiling fan did not work in our room. The Best Western we stayed at was in Copperas Cove, Texas. During the time we were there, there were heat advisories in effect. We received no for the fan not working. I was unable to connect up to their internet. The TV would turn off at random times. The mattresses and pillows all need to be replaced. The carpets were also dirty feeling, and should be replaced. The garbage cans in the rooms were too small, which led to garbage overflowing. However, there was plenty of hot water and the staff was pleasant to deal with. The breakfast served each morning was adequate.I have stayed at several Best Westerns over the past few years, and they have all had these same issues. I will not be staying at a Best Western Hotel in the future.I received a reply to this review with the owner indicating we had a Do Not Disturb sign on the door which is why the room was not cleaned. Their door hangers have two sides. One side says Do Not Disturb. The other side indicates we are requesting the room be cleaned. That is the side of the hanger that was exposed, not Do Not Disturb. The owner also indicated we had more people staying in the room than what we paid for. I reserved the room for 4 people and that is the number of people who actually stayed and slept in the room each night. My son, who is stationed at Fort Hood and was on pass so we could visit him, was with us during the day, but he stayed in his own room at night. As far as moving to a new room, we were already moved once because we were put in a room with 2 full sized beds when i reserved a room with 2 queen sized beds. When we asked for things such as towels we were given them without complaint and the staff was accomodating. However, i dont think we should have to ask for the same items day after day.
Great hotel for the price. Clean and nice rooms, comfortable bed with breakfast included (scrambled eggs, waffle maker, etc). Nicer than Hyatt I stayed at the night before. Some cosmetic issues in the room that could be fixed easily with a piece of molding but very clean and nice overall.
Huge room was more like a small efficiency apartment, very comfortable and the room was already cool temperature wise when we got there. The only issue might be for some people that there was not an elevator to the second floor, so bags had to be carried up. It was a small price to pay for a great bargain and well appointed room.
The room and hotel itself were really clean. The pool bathroom was another story, it was DISGUSTING. The bed was not very comfortable but we were only here for 5 nights so we made it work. The breakfast was good, but not as good as other BW weβve stayed at. The customer service was also a little lacking. There was never anyone at the front desk when we went down there, we hardly saw anyone the whole time we were there. Basically you get what youβre paying for. It was a safe area, convenient to a Walmart and many food options. We would probably stay here again since the price was right.
Very friendly staff and exceptional management. I have stayed here multiple times and have always been impressed. Large and clean rooms, good breakfast, a few weights, a tread and an elliptical, all clean and in working order. I have not used the pool. Good value, great room, discounts for HOG members.
The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The pool was nice and refreshing! The breakfast was great. Overall, excellent hotel and we will definitely be going back. Front Desk manager was very helpful at the front desk with all our questions! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
My experience at this Best Western was pleasant and comfy. I was greeted with cheer and smiling faces. It is located in a great part of town with Walmart being right across the street with the cinemas and restaurant options close by. Its clean and cozy with a newly remodeled pool. I would stay here again, but i do think that the price is a little high considering that it is not a new hotel. Other than that everything was really good.
My husband & I stayed 4 nights & it was a pleasant experience. Margerie at the front desk was more than accommodating. We were in town for my stepson as he unexpectedly lost his mother over the weekend. Margerie made sure we would be as comfortable as possible in the room she gave us because they were down some rooms. The breakfast was amazing it had plenty to choose from, eggs, bacon sausage, waffles, build breakfast burritos, the works. The room was spacious & clean. We will definitely stay here again.
Jennifer Garrett is amazing! Not only did she stay on the phone with Expedia for 1/2 hr because they messed up... she made me feel welcomed with a warm smile. To top it all off she made sure I had fresh coffee before her shift ended, she couldhave easily passed this responsibility to someone else. This is excellent customer services at its finest. I will vist this location again because of her alone!π
Location: Copperas Cove, Texas. This has been by far the worse hotel experience I have ever had at a Best Western or any other brand hotel. The first room I was given when I checked-in, the bathtub was filthy and had a very slow drain, the tub was filling up while I showered. I went to the front desk and was moved to a different room. The new room had obviously not had a thorough cleaning, the partial bar of soap in the tub area was from the previous guest, just as the empty bottle of booze sitting in the closet floor. All around the toilet was dirty. I went back to the front desk and they had housekeeping clean it. When I returned later in the day, I was told the room had been taken care of. You can imagine my surprise when I went into the room, the closet door that i left open, so they could see the bottle in plain view, was closed. When I opened it, there was the bottle. I took tissue and picked it up and carried it to the front desk. The manager on duty, was not too interested in hearing about the events that had taken place. I was very nice and calm, I would have thought as the manager, she would want to know. As I was explaining to her, she repeated over me, I cant change what happened what do you want me to do, to make you happy. She said, I will give you a free night. I was truly more concerned about the cleanliness her knowing so this could be prevented from happening to another. She did not appear to want to be bothered by it. Without a doubt, I will not stay at a Best Western again. Another thing, the front desk clerk told me, they do not scrub the bathtubs, they wipe them out with a towel. That definitely explains the soap build up. Not very sanitary either.
Conveniently located, clean and attractive hotel, available at a good price. You may have to haul your luggage to the second floor as there is no elevator, but the stairways are wide and make it easy to do. Rooms are spacious and quiet. Staff is friendly and attentive.
The linens were subpar. The cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable. The decor was outdated. The pillows were not comfortable. The closet was difficult to open and the hangers were falling off. The seating in the breakfast room was cramped. The staff was friendly and helpful but not quick about check in or check out.
Nice place especially for the price. Will stay here again on my next visit. Just three complaints. 1. Card door lock to building was faulty. 2. #205# Could not close bathroom door without having to duck under shower curtain rod while closing door and squeezing between toilet and shower tub. A real pain in the ass for a 6-6 guy. 3. Desk clerk girl was rude...if you hate working a job that much please dont work in customer service...people that are trying to enjoy themselves dont deserve to be treated disrespectfully. Could have been 5 stars...
The staff here are very friendly & welcoming. Theyre planning some remodeling, which this place needs. Its not run down; it just needs some updating (for example, I had to show my teenage daughter how to use the microwave with the old school turn dial; she found it charming when the timer dinged upon completion.) I require lodging in the central Texas area on a fairly regular basis; this might be my go-to motel, if it only had an elevator.
Pictures on booking.com were deceiving. Breakfast foods were cold when they should have been hot. The first room I was given the AC did not work properly. The second room I was given smelled like smoke so bad that it gave me a headache both nights I was in there. Water pressure in shower was weak. Everything else was acceptable.
We needed a local hotel while some work was being done on our house. We have had good experiences with Best Western hotels over the years, and this was no exception. Realistically priced, good size, comfortable rooms and easy handicap access. All in all a very good experience.
Check-in was quick and service we received was on point. Overall hotel is very clean and some areas are under construction. We would of gave them all five stars but the beds are like bricks. Hopefully, this will be fixed in the renovation. Thanks again for hospitality!!!!
Overall a good value for a clean and comfortable room. A/C worked well, bed was comfortable and room was pretty quiet. Pretty good breakfast and didnt feel rushed right at 10am (Sunday morning) as we visited with other friends in the lounge area. The things that could be improved or good to know:No elevator! Thankful we were on first floor but had friends on second floor which made it difficult to visit.Stopper on the sink and tub need work. Neither would stay raised to allow water to drain properly. Ran out of hot water during my shower. Water became luke warm after only a couple of minutes (at least it wasnt cold).Very limited generic TV remote (functionality) and occasionally had to point and press multiple times to get function to work.Although we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, a woman opened the door (cleaning lady?) and scared my wife as she was just out of the shower. She said they had us marked as already checked out. It was only 9:30am. Not the Express Checkout I was expecting.I would stay again for the same low price but make sure I had a first floor room.
Older hotel that has been renovated....Price is excellent considering size of well appointed and clean rooms.Staff was nice and accommodating. Location fairly easy to find....close to a reasonable mall.Food ok...for an included breakfast....nothing to brag on, but not bad either. So why only 2 stars.....its the BEDS.Lordy you go to a hotel for sleep and when you CANT....it doesnt matter how new, nice, clean, big your room is its BAD.My wife normally likes a firm bed, her comment This bed is like concrete or WORSE.I couldnt publish my comment.
This is the worst hotel Ive ever stayed at. First issue was their accounting system was too old for me to get rewards point from Best Western. What indoor hotel doesnt have an elevator this one thats which one. The bathrooms have no air conditioning and no exhaust fan. The final straw was when someone changed our checkout day to a month earlier than we booked for. We had several rooms and all of the sudden they started making us move to different rooms. After several people in our group were made to move it was my turn. I was told me and my workmate had to move into a room with 1 bed or we would have to leave. The owner was very rude to me so we checked out. If only we had been kicked out earlier we could have moved to the Days Inn next door sooner. Its everything the Best Western was not. The owner took great care of us. I wouldnt stay at this Best Western if they payed me. Its a shame I had to give them one star to do this review.
This was a good clean hotel. they served eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, sausage, bacon, and waffles, as well as some other grab and go things for breakfast. they did run out of a few things, but once told they took care of it right away. the outdoor pool was a good size for my kids and they really enjoyed it. across the street from walmart and was a close drive to killeen where we were visiting.we out up the do not disturb sign, but asked for more room towels that we did not receive, which is probably our fault for having the sign out. which is the only reason for the 4 stars. staff was friendly. I would stay here again
Very clean and accessable to everything we needed. Super friendly and professional staff. We needed nine rooms for a long stay (over 20 days) and they made it possible. Sady at the front desk is awsome! On her only third day of working here made the right moves and calls to get us all rooms. We will for ever appreciate the great job Sady and Marjorie (manager) did for us. Thanks again!!
It aint the Ritz Carlton, its a Best Western in the Cove.. The 2 story building doesnt have elevators. If your disabled, make sure to get a room on the first floor.. Carrying luggage up 2 flights is not good. This is one of the older chain hotels that were built back in the day.. Its clean, sometimes not very quiet due to arriving or departing soldiers and family members.. Walls are kinda thin. Its close to perty much everthing the Cove has to offer. Walmart and HEB plus within walking distance. With fast food places to boot! If youre just looking for a place to sleep and continue your journey, this hotel is your spot. The breakfast is standard BW fare. The outdoor pool is nice in the summer but isnt heated. The staff are normally Central Texas Friendly! Although @ times you come across a bad mood at the desk. All in all. Location and the price are good for what you get. I stay here often just for the ease of access! FYI: 5 min drive to West Fort Hood. 10/15 min to Main Post. Plotted. Scouts out.
Location: Copperas Cove TexasWhat a worse place to stay. We understood that this time a year you would get some crickets in your room, our room was infested with crickets. In our room we had 30-50 crickets coming into the heated light in the bathroom. Every time you walked around the room you would see one. They would get onto our bed and on our face. We had to deal with this for three nights. We bought it up to the front desk but we were not moved until our last night(4th night). Also our room wasnt cleaned. Only the bathroom got cleaned. Behind the couch we found someone elses underwear on the ground like the room didnt get cleaned. Plus one specific female worker was very rude and snappy to us. All because we let her know about the trash and beer cans that was laying out on the ground in front of main entrance. The pool was extremely dirty and the pool bathroom- toilet had stains and the floor had blood spots.
I was very unhappy because ant in 1 of gueen beds, filty and stained mattress that looked urine that ran to the outer edge of the flipped mattress. The reason I found the stain on the mattress is because we started looking to see if there were more than one pest was in the bed.The room had a very strong oder of stinky feet/shoes or mold smell however, we did bring a can of Freeze 2x heavy duty spray that combat the odor along with turning on air conditioner. My husband wanted to make sure it was an ant and not bed bugs. We surely did not want to get them in our things and bring them home with us.I did tell the desk clerk that this Best Western Hotel would not be getting an 8, 9 or 10 from us because of these reasons. I even showed her the pictures I had taken with my phone. Her remarks were oh my, she preceded to give me my receipt and said thank you. NO Would You Like to Talk to the Manager or nothing.I guess she didnt care we were just old people to her.Mrs.AB
Excellent customer service by the Staff. Truly appreciate their willingness to accommodate our military personnel, I had changes to reservations due to personnel issues and pleasantly surprised to how Ripely, Danielle, Marjorie and the Janitorial Staff were truly Professional and helpful with the various changes I requested to amend / accommodate our situation at the Inn. Thank you.I will be recommending this Best Western Inn & Suite location for future venues to accommodate on both Civilian business and Military business.
The service was not up to standards. There pricing was switched when we checked out. I was told verbally over the phone at night multiple times that I would have a specific pricing and not be charged more. Today was. Check out day and of course my bill was higher after they told me that it was going to be. The managers was very rude and not helpful after I showed her call logs and emails that I spoke to someone here. Would not recommend this hotel again.
Has some really outdated appliances, dial-opperated microwaves, ethernet/telephone outlet lamps; had some buggy light fictures as well, but otherwise alright. Staff is friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the AC unit was working perfectly (very important because of the time of the year.)Its an alright stay if you only need to do so for a few nights, but it isnt as pretty as it seems on the inside of one of these rooms.*****something to notice******The free wifi will log you out every 45 minutes to an hour or so, which can be really inconvenient when you are online for long periods of time.
I was severely disappointed in my stay with this property. I cant speak for all Best Western Hotels but based on my experience at this one I would never stay there again...nor would I recommend for anyone else to stay there. In addition to the room having an unpleasant odor, there were live and dead bugs in the room. Just plain unacceptable.
Found a bed bug, got bit 8 times... Found out I was allergic to their bites and asked if they would be willing to pay for any medical visits, the manager told me, There are no health concerns with bed bugs, so, any concerns or medical bills will come out of your pockets. Yet 12 hours after the initial bites my arms were swollen and hot from allergies!
BEDBUGS ROACHES WATERBUGS!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! This was by far one of the NASTIEST places i have ever stay! Our baseball team stayed here. We found bed bugs in 4 rooms. My room was infested with roaches. Walking down the stairs a roach the size of my finger crawled over my hand!!! Disgusting!!!!!!
Would never stay there again would not recommend anyone else staying there not nice not clean not worth the money, room prices change every day they dont tell you that when you check in,, they have a real problem with service animals youre a question and questions. Do not I say do not stay there ever

2022-07-03The staff was very friendly very accommodating. The breakfast was good and there were lots of choices. The room was average clean. Some of the furniture and bathroom fixtures needed replaced. The main reason for giving only 3 stars is because the pool wasnt open hasnt been open all year and that was the reason I choose this place because my grandson wanted to swim. We were told that the pool was open from 10 to 10 and there was a lock on the gate and the water was green. Other than that it was good. Before staying again I will call ahead to see if pool is available.

2022-01-05I am only giving this place 2 stars due to the friendly staff. Immediately upon entering my room I caught a gnarly odor coming from the restroom. Trying to find out what it was, I opened the toilet seat to find mildewed, staled urine that had been sitting there for who knows how long. The smell of ammonia still haunts me 72 hours after my check-out. Once flushed, the odor started to dissipate. Im not a picky person that looks for deficiencies. However, once I noticed something so casual as this, I started to look around. The sink faucet had toothpaste stains on the handle from the previous guest that I had to wipe clean. The latch lock on the main door felt like it was going to snap off when engaged (still worked, though). The shower had cracks that exposed the making of the tub, along with a shower floor that felt disgusting to stand on. The remote control was sticky (clearly not having been wiped, cleaned, etc) and there was a wet sticky liquid substance on the bedside table (clearly from a spilled drink from the previous guest). The mattress had a huge indention in it from countless of guests before me which made for an interesting nights sleep. The right-wing access door did not work from the outside (but the sign above it says to use key card for access?). The office chair was comfortable, though. I will be staying at the Days Inn across the street from now on. I can understand previous remodeling issues, but cleaning the room before the next guest arrives is something I just assumed would be tacked on to my 3-night, $323 bill. I probably should have gone to the front desk to notify them, but honestly I didnt want to embarrass the sweet staff.

2022-02-18Second time staying here , second month in a row from my company paying for my hotel accomodations. They impressed yet again , the beds and shower make for good reset and recharge , and the breakfast , welllllll the pic speaks for itself. Its not high quality ingredients but it sure does make for a great start to the day πππβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

2022-04-02It was clean, it was quiet, it was quick. Breakfast near as better than some establishments weve been. Only issues were the pool was closed for the season and the waffle maker had a shorted out outlet which only concerned me for the fire hazard.

2021-11-29Lack of an elevator was a negative. Also only has 3 sets of doors to enter into. Main entrance (but very limited parking in front or even along sides/ends) and 2 side entrances. As of 11ish [PM], only 1 side entrance was accessible for entry because it was broke but counter couldnt confirm that because they hadnt checked the respective doors except main entrance.Breakfast was hot, but couple of foods were out. Front counter was covering being the cook, the clean up & checking patrons out plus answering phone calls too.

2021-11-21Came to Copperas Cove for my grandmothers funeral.First off the doors to the outside didnt work. Had to park in back and walk around to front entrance. Second, lamp lights were missing so no light and the toilet didnt flush as soon as we got there. Front desk was friendly and moved us to another room and it smelled terribly like smoke. Went to open the window and there was no screen. I could literally climb in and out of the room if I would like to. The microwave was dirty and the fridge smelled of mildew. Told the front desk and they said that room always smells like that even after paint and new carpet. The lady also asked well is the room bothering you? The carpet wasnt new. Breakfast was awful. The beds were very uncomfortable and the fitted sheets were so wrinkled and old all you had to do was sit down and the entire sheet came off exposing the bare mattress! we stayed in a suite and to pay 115$ plus tax was so not worth it. My mother asked for something discounted and I knew they couldnt because we pre-paid with a third party. It could have been taken care of with time but I feel like we were dismissed. They need to have the housekeeping staff check their rooms a little better. Need to update their beds and bathrooms or not charge so much. We will NEVER stay here again and will NOT recommend it

2021-12-27Made reservations November 15 2021 for December 24 2021, for a handicap room, when we got there it was given to someone else. Nothing else was available but a regular room. That was a bummer not very handicap excessable.
