A very nice place. Our room was like a studio apartment. Very new, modern, well appointed and super clean. They allowed dogs which helped us immensely on our cross country drive. We didnt arrive until almost midnight but it wasnt an issue. The breakfast offered a lot of variety and had the best of intentions but was not good. It is right by the highway for easy access to I20.
Friendly staff and easy check in. Standard free breakfast fare. Room was reasonably clean, though the tile could have used some work. Bed and pillows too firm for my taste, but Im sure others would disagree. Biggest complaint was the noise level from crews arriving late, which isnt really the hotels fault, but was frustrating.
This is the best experience I have had at a hotel. Our room was well-priced and was actually a full suite for the price of a regular room. Extremely clean and beautiful room and hotel. Breakfast was fully stocked. The owners were very understanding and attentive to our small children. We will definitely return to this hotel when we drive back this way again on our travels. Excellent, excellent, excellent!
The people that own/manage this hotel are the best. My family and I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights, we had about 6 rooms, and our experience was fantastic. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was appropriate for a ‘free meal’. We had a few last minute changes in our plans and they accommodated the changes very pleasantly. We highly recommend this hotel.
Pick this hotel because of free breakfast starting at 6am. At 6:30 lights still not on in breakfast area.Paid $180 for two rooms and my workers had yo go to work without breakfast. Checking out going to a different hotel.
Brand new, very clean and attractive hotel. Staff was helpful and professional. Lobby and breakfast area were excellent. Rooms large and well arranged. Bed and bathroom were good. Breakfast was typical,generic, but okay. The only problem was drapes, which would not close completely, so I had to improvise to keep them closed, otherwise a very bright outside light would shine in. Overall, worth the money.
This stay was terrible and I was so tired I just dealt with it. Room wasnt clean and bed was gross, pillows had brown and pink stains.Service was horrible I asked for an extra towel and was told 2 towels should be enough.

Very polite service. Clean rooms, newly remodled (as of June 2019) and quiet. The elevator and galway were uncomfortably hot though. Im guessing the A.C. for the common areas Was not working though I did see someone there to work on it. Breakfast is always a plus, they have a small variety of snacks, drinks, ICE CREAM and basic day to day items for sale at the front desk, reasonably priced.......Will be first choice for myself and other employees should we work in the area again.
Not much to say. The owner who checks you in, also does the house keeps and starts knocking on your door early. The rooms were nice. Its a new hotel. It has truck and trailer parking for big trucks, which is great for us. The room was a little pricey, but most room are in that area. They do serve breakfast, but I slept through, so not sure if it was good or not. Its right off the interstate, but I didnt have a problem with any noise from it.

Wife and I stayed in a king for a night passing through. Beds were very comfortable and room was almost suite size. It must be brand new or overhauled. Everything we needed it had, the price for what we got was amazing, and to top it all off....we loved the Texas shaped waffle maker. 😉. Best value I’ve ever had at a hotel.
Pretty decent room for the price. The wifi signal was strong and consistent without losing signal. The rooms are clean and its easy to access this hotel being right near the freeway. Id be more than happy to stay here again the next time Im passing through.
The place was amazing. Brand new everything and very nice decor through out the entire place, from the front desk to the rooms. Staff was very friendly, the rooms are huge, and very clean. Full breakfast bar, and we had a big moving truck with a trailer attached to it which they helped us park. Only downfall was the WiFi was a little hard to connect to but the front desk said theyd look into it. Id definitely recommend this place.
This was an excellent overnight experience. No breakfast due to tha vid but otherwise very nice and comfy.If youre looking for somewhere to eat while youre in Colorado City, I strongly suggest Kelleys Diner!

Im in a hotel room over 300 nights a year and this place has instantly moved into my top 5 hotel. The personal there treat you like they really want to be a service to you. Ill definitely stay there again.
This hotel is a great place to stay. It has a good, complimentary hot breakfast, and the rooms are clean. The new flat screen TV, the fridge, the microwave, and the coffee maker all provide the comforts of home.
Easy access to I-25. Very clean, welcoming and caring staff, comfortable and great place to stay. Breakfast was very good with variety and quality food, dining area kept clean. Glad we drove a few extra miles to get to this destination.
I booked via phone, We arrived late, check in was quick, friendly staff. Beautiful hotel!My room was amazing, clean, spotless. Huge, beds were comfy. We were next to laundry room and figured itd be loud but we didnt hear anything. Breakfast was good. Many choices. I reccomend this hotel to anyone. Its 30 mins from Big Springs, over 100.00 cheaper, much nicer. Im so glad we decided to drive a few mins longer to colorado city.
We got caught in the storm yesterday and werent able to keep driving. When we got here they thankfully were gonna have a room available for us. They were able to get cleaned quickly and we had a good nights rest. Breakfast was super tasty and filling. Thank you guys so much!
The gentleman checking us in was extremely polite and fast ( considering we had a wedding to go to). Rooms were clean and AC was cold! We would definitely stay here again...
5 starts, and if more were offered, theyd be checked as well. Over all experience? 12+ in my book. The front desk manager, AJ, was amazing. The rooms were spotless, decorated nicely, and oh my gosh, the beds!!!!! The most comfortable my husband and I have ever slept on. Breakfast was great, as was the whole experience at this Best Western. Best Western Plus Lonestar Inn and Suites, Colorado City, Texas, is definitely worth exiting 1-27 for a great nights rest.
This BW is just off of I-20 with very low traffic and noise but easily noticed & accessible to weary travelers. The rates are very affordable unlike the dozen other places we stopped. Seriously, we stopped at 12 places! I was ready to pull into a rest area to sleep rather than pay the fees charged to the oil field workers. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious.We we so thankful to have found this BW!

Room was nice and clean. However we needed a crib for my baby and they only had one for the whole hotel and it was being used. We had to accommodate our baby to sleep on a regular bed.
Looks like a brand hotel. Asked the check in clerk and he said the building is about a year old.We checked in around 5 PM on December 29th and theres only 3 cars in the parking lot, including mine.We got the feeling that because of low amount of customers Management is conserving where they can. The heat in our room was off and the hallway feels like the same temperature. Where the vending machine and ice machine are there is no vending machine and the ice machine was unplugged. I had to go to the first floor to get ice.There was an inch gap under the door letting the cold air in so having the heat at 74 it was still cold in the room.
The room was clean and a big spacious room with 2 queen beds . The only thing I didn’t like was the tall frames on the bed . I am tall and was still too high . Short people it would be harder for them . The hotel was lit up all around the hotel . We didn’t have reservations and arrived late and were able to get a room . The breakfast was good .
I am self employed and travel frequently for work. This hotel was a great value and the staff was very helpful and friendly. However, the survey is way too long for a busy person to find time for. A big turn off for me that will influence my decision to use them again.
Nice and clean. Comfortable beds and good breakfast. The bath tub could use some nonskid pads. They are very slick when soapy.

This is a hotel for oil field workers and not people who want to sleep past 5 am. It is noisy on 1st floor and I was awakened at 5 am to over head stomping. The breakfast was no good, bitter coffee and limited tasteless choices.

Best westerns are always nice hotels with comfortable bed and nice rooms. I wish they all had better breakfasts though. It is the same in every hotel and is nothing special.

Clean, spatious; breakfast was a bit lackluster, but there was plenty of it. As an aside, the room we had included two electric burners, a large mini fridge, and a kitchen sink. Water pressure on the sink, however, was subpar.
The room was quiet and comfortable with a great bed for a great nights sleep! The staff made me feel special and were very friendly!
Newer motel ,very clean and neat , just didnt like paying almost twice as much for a single night after the weekly rate had passed ,which the manager said wouldnt happen and it did. Definitely worth the weekly rate tho.

Looks can be deceiving! When I 1st walked in and saw the lobby I thought ‘wow! This place looks great!’ We’re seasoned travelers, stayed at many ‘normal’ Best Westerns as well as BW Plus. For a Plus, this one falls very short. The husband/wife owners r also: front desk staff, housekeeping staff, kitchen staff etc. They r polite but not friendly. We had a room with a sofa sleeper, I went down for sheets & blankets. When I asked, the man said “you need sheets and blankets?” as if he didn’t believe me. I clarified it was for the sofa sleeper. He said “I thought you were in room ___”. I said “no, I’m in room ___”. He looked up my room before he would hand over the bedding. Breakfast is from 6-9:00. At 6:30 I went down; it was dark & no one was around. I just wanted hot tea so I went in anyway. A few minutes later the wife happened to walk by and said “oh, I only turn the lights on if someone is actually in here” and she turned on one small light. Then stood there until I walked out—and then turned the light off. I was thinking people might be missing breakfast if they come down and it looks dark and closed. She also puts out a small amount of food at anytime. Breakfast bar looked mostly empty because she only stocked a few servings at a time. The all day coffee service was dismal and the lids aren’t even made for the cups they have, so coffee to-go wasn’t possible. The only tea option is Lipton 👎🏼 The only sugar & creamer option is from a can 👎🏼 The pool was green, owners didn’t seem to care. The room was spacious but overall we’ll stay somewhere else next time
Hotel is very nice. Only a couple years old. But not kid friendly. Family of owners it seemed were hanging out in Lobby.

Brand new motel. Very nice with knowledgeable staff. When checking in we asked about places to eat and was given a list. We asked the desk help what place she recommended and we there to eat. Excell2choice.
Just checked in two hours ago and already love it. You can tell it’s new, everything is very modern and clean and the rate was good ($100 for a King suite). Highly recommend if you’re between El Paso and DFW.

A place to stay on the way from Texas to Arizona !! It is clean, but it is only recently built, so there is a little chemical odor, and breakfast is not as good as breakfast.

2022-05-18Stayed one night while passing through. Only complaint was the mini fridge didnt really cool down any of the stuff I put in it. Theyve got a nice thermostat in the room and the bed wasnt uncomfortable. Walkable to Sonic and Dariy Queen. Didnt use the shower, so cant review the water pressure/heat.

2021-01-02We got stuck in a winter storm and had to ride it out at this hotel. Basic amenities. Spacious room. Good price. Walls are paper thin, so beware. We could hear EVERYTHING from the room next to us. TV, snoring....lol. Staff was very friendly and there is food food a convenience store nearby. We would stay here again if we needed to.

2021-06-12Pretty bad when the management runs out to your car and accuse you of stealing the bed covers out of the room. Kept asking when we were leaving too. Turned off warmers for the breakfast before 9am also. Was disturbed by what the manager did as we left. Too bad it ended that way, because it would’ve been 5 stars!

2020-10-11It was adequate. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. I didnt notice any weird smells. The breakfast was old bananas and stale danishes, but thats due to covid. The pillows were baby size but comfortable.

2019-02-04Very nice clean hotel, only 1 year old but it looks like they just opened yesterday. So clean and quiet, very nice breakfast. All the staff are so friendly. The bed was wonderful and I dont believe I have ever stayed in a cleaner room. This will definitely be my hotel of choice on every trip to Colorado City.

2019-01-03I had to book a suite for the family for Christmas travel. We stayed in the room 4 day and 3 nights. The room was amazing! Clean, spacious for 2 adults and 3 kids. I love that the sofa pulled out to a full size bed and had clean linens on it. The hotel staff was great in getting us additional towels and blankets. Great WiFi signal! We all know thats a plus! The stay included a pretty good hot breakfast each morning with the waffle bar and the usual pastries, cereal fruit and juice. Coffee was great too. Will stay here each time we come through to C City.

2020-05-24I stayed at this hotel for the past 6 months. This included time during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff was beyond friendly and professional and the hotel was always clean and sanitized. Everyday, coming in from work, I was always greeted by a happy, smiling face. Every morning, they did all they could to have you ready to face the day. The staff was always cleaning and disinfecting the common areas and took every precaution available in following the cdc guidelines and protocol. This is just a great place to stay.
