The Cambria was an enjoyable stay. The hotel was always clean. The staff was very polite and accommodating. I loved, loved, loved the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom. The location was great for shopping, eating and walking. I will definitely stay at the Cambria in McAllen, Texas again.

Okay 1st time staying at a Cambria and room was great...a little different with the positioning of the bed but great...Bluetooth in the bathroom mirror was perfect...my only issue is apparentlythe bartenders cant fix a ticket once they mess up... this happened to me twice in 2 days...thats crazy right...so stay there just buy drinks elsewhere...

The Cambria was everything it should have been and more. If I had an option to stay there again I definitely would. The walk in shower was extremely nice. The WiFi mirror was a very nice touch. This Cambria is a great place to stay in the McAllen area. The employees, all of them, are polite, helpful and expedient.The rooms are spacious and very clean. They provide enough towels and amenities so you do not have to have cleaning, even though they do offer. The air conditioning works fantastic.Very close to restaurants and shopping.A very safe environment.

Hotel was extremely clean Friendly staff along with the house keeping gals had an issue with some party goers so i called main desk and automatically came up stopped it and was able to rest and sleep
So I called to make a reservation to stay for the night a week before the night I was supposed to stay. I get a text message the night before asking me if I need anything to be prepared before I arrive, I called and cancelled the reservation because something came up. The night I was supposed stay, I went to go buy something and I noticed I was still charged for that night even though I cancelled that night. I call management saying I was supposed to call and cancel 48 hours before so I can get a refund. I did cancel but they have no record of me calling and making that cancellation. I’m very disappointed with this hotel. I’ve never stayed at this hotel and I’m never going to again!
Its unbelievable that after all you pay, hotel wont lend, loan or rent a plate to use in hotel microwave. I wanted to heat dinner but didnt wanted to do it in the aluminum plate restaurant provided. But even hotel has a restaurant they said they didnt have 1 plate in the entire hotel. That is incredible. But i will never stay at another cambria and i will run this through social media.

Positive: The location was good. Negative: The bed was horrible. There was a huge dip on one side of the king bed. My husband has a bad back and this dip did not help. People stay at hotels for rest. Beds should be the first thing checked and replaced.
Clean, friendly, and excellent. Very accommodating of our special needs child. Front desk was always happy to help. Maids were respectful when we had privacy tag on the door. Valuables were safely left in the room without worry. Rooms are insulated didnt hear noise from rooms adjacent to ours even with kids running around. Internet was great for working remote.
The overall hotel was nice, including all the employees we came into contact with. The fact that your website says it offers free airport shuttle from 5AM to 12AM and we called at 10PM to be picked up only to be told it actually runs from 9AM to 5PM was extremely annoying and then had to make arrangements for our return flight as well because it was before 9. If you aren’t going to offer/honor what it says you offer, the price of the room should be adjusted. We shouldn’t of been penalized for your error.

This hotel is simply beautiful. From the time you check in until the moment you arrive in your room. It’s was a personable experience to making sure you were satisfied with a front desk text. This is such a beautiful property and did I mention there’s a Bluetooth speaker in the mirror!!! This takes showering to another level. Awesome experience!

This hotel is the best upscale Ive ever stayed at in the valley the staff was exceptional the room was beautiful and very comfortable and clean the location is amazing not to mention the parking was great. The only disappointment was the mixed drinks at the bar which looked lovely but tasted disgusting as well as the dessert my cheesecake was still hard and cold in the middle and wasnt even that great not to mention the price of two disgusting drinks and a skinny slice of cheesecake was $32 and was not worth the price the watior was great the presentation of the food and drinks were great to bad they didnt taste as good as they looked. But I will definitely be booking the rest of my trips here they are pet friendly I just wont ever go back to the bar.

The hotel was really nice. Staff was friendly and the Room was clean and modern. In the room I enjoyed that there was outlets everywhere. The Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom was pretty sweet. It was nice listening to music while getting ready to go out for the evening. The was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Also it was very nice to receive a $10 Credit to the bar or snack area.

This hotel looks nice and modern, but once you get in your room you can tell they went the cheapest way possible the make it look nice. This hotel needs a lot of work keeping up with maintenance. The caulking in the shower was all cracked and peeling, the toilet didn’t flush (I fixed it), there were dirty hand prints on the walls, the pergo style flooring wasn’t installed correctly and had air bubbles underneath as well as numerous obvious spaces between the slats, and one of the bath towels I was given had some very interesting brown stains that I can only guess what part of someone’s body they came from. Some of the flights would flicker so those need to be replaced. I have been in way worse hotels which is why I am giving 2 stars. The bed was comfortable, but with all of the other cleanliness issues i felt gross in that bed.
Decided to stay at Cambria after a recent stay where I noticed how quiet the hotel was. The hotel is located in the flight path of our airport but while your staying there, you hardly notice the jets overhead. I have an elderly dog recent diagnosed with heart failure and she’s terrified of fireworks. Staff was understanding and help select the ‘quietest’ room in the hotel. The whole stay worked out perfectly! Will be our new holiday tradition.
This hotel had a great spacious room. Modern up to date technology. Had Bluetooth speaker mirror in the bathroom. Accessible phone chargers by the bed. It even has a sofa. For the price, was more than we expected. Exceptionally clean!

I had a fabulous experience at your hotel. The stay was comfortable and my check-in experience was awesome taking that extra step to assure guest safety as well. I want to give a shout out to the Night Audit associate for working hard before rolling the night and making conversation with me when I went to the lobby! My only recommendation give the man a raise!! Great stay would be making my Mcallen stays there!!

Excellent customer service! I needed to add an extra day to my trip and Amanda took care of it for me. I was texted to see if anything was needed and again when an issue arised. It made it very convenient. The rooms are very modern and clean.
Had a pleasant stay at this property 4th floor with a nice view of the Christmas lights . Property was very clean, and very quiet. It also has a bar downstairs with plenty of attractions close bye.
Had a bad experience with the receptionist at mid afternoon. I was late and had informed her of that not to remove anything from my room. I got back to hotel my belongings had been removed I talked to her about that wasnt receptive, uncaring. I asked to reach out to Lexus dealership to get it straightened she said didnt have the #.I truly believe that she didnt care about my problem.
This was the best experience I have ever had during a hotel stay. The staff was terrific and super helpful. The rooms were very modern and attractive. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of food and it was all delicious. And, the most talked about feature among my 11 teenagers was the Bluetooth bathroom mirror!!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Stayed here before traveling out on our fam vacay and the staff were friendly. We even celebrated my daughters 4th birthday with cake and some of our relatives came over. Of course we picked up after we were finished. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. I will be staying there in August again.

The rooms were pretty nice but disappointed in the overall stay. We booked two rooms three nights on one room and two nights on the other, upon arriving i was informed that there would be a incidental charge per room they asked what card was to be used and used the wrong card to charge the incidental fee it is now four days after departure and my card is still on hold they can’t seem to help after explaining to them that according to my bank they have not completely released the hold I am left with trying to figure it out myself with all this frustration I believe I will never stay there again it doesn’t matter that their rooms were nice and the overall stay Was good when you have to deal with the after effect
Positive: Had a wonderful bar area and the bartender was terrific. Negative: 1. It is in the flight path of the airport. As such, there was an almost constant drone of airplane jets. 2. On Thursday night, it sounded as though they were doing construction in the room above me. It started again on Friday morning @ 4:30am.
The hotel is very nice and modern but not too modern to be sterile. The room layout, desk and bathroom is great. Love the blue tooth mirror and big shower. I love the lighting options in the room too. Nice coffee bar with a Kurig. Also has a refrigerator which is a big plus for me to keep cold drinks and water. Great TV with lots of viewing options! No complaints here!

I really love the hotel, beginning with the appearance as I drove in. The check-in area was nice and had a red carpet as you entered in. I love the furnishings in the lobby and dining area and the murals on the walls office at the elevators. And as I walked down the hall ways it reminded me of a European hotel feel. Then upon entering the room I was quite impressed! The mirror behind the bed was beautiful and the bed lighting was extremely nice. I really like the spaciousness of the room along with the sitting area and even the touch of having coat hooks as you enter. I just wish you had a location in Laredo, as I travel there for business 3 to 4 times a year. Its nice that the hotel contained a full-service bar. All staff was friendly and efficient.

I didnt care too much for the layout of the room. Seemed smaller than other rooms with same price point. Room was clean but we left in the middle of the night because the aircon never cooled the room. We were hot and stuffy no matter how much we turned down the thermostat. I didnt notify anyone, I just wanted to leave.

Hot tub is disgusting. Full of bacteria because there are some people that come and spend the entire day peeing inside of it. I got an infection so bad I ended up in the hospital. Beware!
I loved staying at this hotel! The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were always checking in and making sure I had everything I needed, and that everything was okay with my room. Also, the room was very clean and beyond comfy! I will definitely be staying again in the future.
My favorite hotel in McAllen! Rooms are modern, comfortable and clean every time! Food is great downstairs too. Every time I come to McAllen I always look forward to staying here.
The front desk was plesant, greeted me on entry and exiting. Crystal was very friendly. The room maintenance staff kept the room clean and the linens fresh and well stocked. The gym has a good amount of equipment. The public areas were inviting and clean the grounds were well maintained. The guest laundry was not suficient for the number of guests. The dryer door should have reversed a 10 minute fix. The reading lights were burned out and the fan in the bathroom didnt work. (Room 412) I did not tell the staff while I was visiting, I only thought about it late at night and while showering. I am confident if I had mentioned the issues they would have been addressed in a timely fashion.

I heard about the hotel from a friend and wanted to find out how awesome this hotel was. Nice open lobby area with spacious clean dinning/bar area. Very impressed as we entered the hotel. We didn’t have reservations but was quickly attended to and a room was made available for me. Rooms were extremely clean and spacious as well. Very modern and even had a dividing wall between rooms for private occasions.Pool area was also very spacious and several families had get togethers, pool size was average but well put together. I would recommend this hotel for either business or pleasure stays.

Well, the location was good. The food was good. Nothing else. The laminate floor was buckled and uneven and extremely dirty due to poor maintenance (wax was peeling and the floor had ground-in dirt). The mattress was saggy and had obviously never been turned. The door did not close properly; my door was left partially open by housekeeping on at LEAST 5 separate occasions over a 2 month period. When I complained to the manager, I was contacted via email...OVER 24 HOURS AFTER MY FOURTH CALL TO REPORT IT. No one ever reached out to me by phone, even after I asked. I also had to follow up on 2 occasions due to no one ever calling me back (no notes were left for the manager by the front desk personnel I contacted). I finally had to just hang a do not disturb placard just so I could be sure that at least the door was pulled shut by me!My company paid for my extended stay. Had I a choice, I would not have stayed here.
Good but not great Bluetooth features were wonderful no working hot tub was no happy no alcohol sold available when bar wasn’t open was challenging definitely spacious rooms nice soft bed did not like there was no drawers for clothes no free coffee no food offered food was a wait !

First time staying at this hotel and first time with at a Choice Hotel. Cambria was listed as a luxury hotel on my company travel directory, so thats what caught my attention. The staff was all very friendly and polite. The modern amenities were nice and very clean. My only disappointment was the size of the hotel. I expected it to be bigger but the room was spacious enough. The only improvement Id make was having more options for the weekend breakfast buffet. Will likely stay again when I visit my relatives.
The beds are SO comfortable. The AC is unbelievable. The layout of the king room is the perfect layout for getting work done in your room.

The ceiling in the living room area of the room i was placed in has water damage. There was water running down the inside of the window wen the rain has heavy. Some of the floor planks in the bed room are buckling (clear signs of water damage) i chose this hotel for the cornner room view and the outside hot tub which was out of order. Im really disappointed with my stay and also when i tried to book my room on there website the website wasnt responding so i had to call and book and i wasnt abke tk get the internet price. So for anyone thinking of booking here PLEASE DONT prices are to high you can do better some where else at lwer price. And i have pictures and videos of my compliants if anyone want to see look me up at my name above on Facebook
When checking in, I was nonchalantly asked to provide my email address. It was on the form that was used to check me in. Later, I received an email welcoming me to their rewards club. I did not ask, nor was I ever asked if I wanted to join!The night manager was generous and let me arrange for a 1 hour late check out. Four hours later, I woke up with a horrible migraine and a severe aversion to light. I took medicine and called down to the front desk and asked for an additional 30 minutes for medical reasons. I was told by the day staff that it was company policy that the additional hour that was already granted was as much as the hotel could allow. My impression is that the company is mismanaged and the employees have been beat over the head with the company policies. The employees are either afraid to or are incapable of independent thinking.
My hotel stay at Cambria was more than I ever expected! I stayed only one night for business, but I wish I could have stayed longer. The staff was so friendly and efficient. As soon as I got to my room, I noticed the modern lighting and furniture. A great plus was the Bluetooth mirror in the bathroom! I am person that enjoys listening to music while showering or getting ready, so this made my experience even better. Overall, great hotel to stay at for business or personal trips.
I was recommended to this hotel by my sister in law. She said it was great and all so I wanted to go see for myself. The staff is great super friendly!! Our room was amazing!! We brought along our 3yr old and 4 month old and it was great (we got double queen beds) I slept so good!! There was no noise beside it being a Saturday! I loved it!
Priscilla went out of her way to make us feel welcome on our stay! The breakfast menu is pretty dang good, facility is basic but nice, the bar has some cool drinks, and they occasionally have live music. The rooms have everything you need and the beds are very comfortable. They’re not carpeted so they feel cleaner. Bathrooms and showers are modern and spacey. Price point when I was there made this one of the best hotels anywhere for under $100!
Would definitely not recommend based on the most uncomfortable mattresses Ive ever slept on. We originally had room 230 and my wife an I tried to take a nap before our dinner. The mattress made a small pit in the middle and it felt as if my body was rolling into the middle. And Im 6 ft 1 inch tall and weigh 182 pounds so it was not my weight that caused the middle of the mattress to make that pit to roll into. We then were moved to another room thinking it was that one mattress in 230. Well, the new room in 316 was the same. Terrible night of trying to sleep. But what really upset me was that when we unpacked our things for the night in the first room, I placed a bottle of medication on the table. But as I went to the lobby to get a new room due to the uncomfortable mattres, my wife was packing things up to move. We moved into the new room and proceeded to go to our dinner that night. When returning from dinner I looked for my medication which was in a prescription bottle, but I could not find it. I realized that it was in the previous room so I went to the front desk and was able to go back into my old room to get my meds. The old room was already fixed and my prescription bottle was not there. In the morning of checking out the front lobby was very helpful in communicating with the cleanup crew as they tried to locate the medication in a trash bag. But the trash was collected that morning by the trash collector. BUT my issue is when the person who cleaned room 230 saw the bottle of prescription why not do the common sense thing and report it in to the front desk? Damn! But oh well.
I am first going to say that I have stayed in some 5 star hotels in major cities before. However, this hotel was the BEST I have stayed at. I find it funny that I found what I now consider the standard in a border town called McAllen. The rooms were gorgeous and clean. The staff was awesome with the exception of the bartender who seemed put out to help anyone who wasn’t sitting at the bar. This place is ultra modern with some of the craziest technology I have seen. It was a shame that it took me til the last day to figure out you could literally bluetooth your music from the bathroom mirror. Crazy huh? I will most definitely be happy to take any job that brings me to the area just to stay here. You guys should be extremely proud of what you have here.
Previous accommodations did not work out, and I needed last minute accommodation. I was apprehensive because previous stays thus far have not met my expectations. I am a medical student here for a couple of months to finish electives. This hotel exceeded my expectations. It is clean, safe, and has high-speed, reliable internet. I participated in video conferencing with no issues. There was plenty of room in the common areas for me to study while socially distancing from others.
Can’t Via in the valley is a very nice hotel and a great place to stay especially if you have I don’t kids playing baseball or softball at the park across the street. It’s also located near the convention center and there’s plenty of restaurants to enjoy. It’s all about location and this hotel is also very nice
I would absolutely highly recommend this hotel. Appears much cleaner than the average hotel in all respects. Top 2 floors are pet free, which is great and highly appreciated for people with severe allergies. I truly hope that this hotel continues to cater to the needs of humans over the convenience of pets. The bar was great - good local beers and good mixed drinks. My only suggestion regarding the tv is to get Netflix and Hulu - I had that when I stayed in another modern hotel in Brooklyn.
It was great! The room was super comfy; the bathroom was spacious with plenty of towels. Enjoyed the style of the room along with the feel of the hotel as a whole. Enjoyed a sunny day poolside and then stayed warm indoors when the weather shifted. Stay here, its lovely.
This Hotel was amazing! The bed was incredibly comfortable and the décor of the rooms and lobby truly made me feel like I was staying at one of the best hotels in the world. As a frequent traveler, I will definitely be returning because the service and price leave little room for improvement.
Floors in room were dirty, restroom sink was dusty the room had an awkward odor... just makes me wonder if it’s this dirty do they sanitize? Also for the price on the room there’s no complimentary breakfast not even coffee.
Employees very accommodating and nice. floor was dirty like housekeeping never Mop it. The wall and trim behind the toilet was filthy. The elevators had handprints all inside. My previous stay everything was perfect. This is not an old hotel and is very modern and if they will just spend the extra time to clean it will be a favorite for years to come.I also missed the two free bottles of water they put in your room each day that did not happen this time.
Bed mattress was like a hammock. Extremely poor quality. My back was quite sore after each night. Difficult believing that the hotel property management cant find better or more firm mattresses.
Was not happy with the cleanliness of the room. Beds were not comfortable and sheets were not very nice. Floors were dirty.
I enjoyed a pleasant three night stay at this new, trendy hotel. They had not yet had their grand opening, but the staff was super friendly and things were running quite well. The rooms were clean and beautiful. There is a large outside lounging area with a pool and hot tub. The fireplace outside was not up and running yet, but the furniture was comfortable and the setting was relaxing. Nice location, within walking distance of the convention center, shopping, and dining. The fitness center was also nice with several pieces of equipment.
We arrived a little too early and had to sit in the lobby, but the young lady up front was super nice and kept apologizing for the room not being ready (Was our fault for being there early) we had accidently got a king size bed and needed two queens instead, she went out of her way to help us get into a two queen size. Ill stay here many more times.
My stay at Cambria was excellent. The rooms were very clean, and the hotel was very modern. The staff was very friendly.
Overpriced for what it gives you. Dont let the looks deceive you. Staff not friendly and lots of parties in the hallway very late at night.
I have stayed here many times and the service and rooms are always very good. There is a full bar with great and attentive staff, and the lounge food is surprisingly good- saying this as someone who is on the road 70% of the time. The lounge has a unique menu with flavor and live entertainment at least once during the week; wonderful to relax with and unwind. Ive also had business meetings there, as the lounge and reception area are larger than other McAllen hotels, and very easy to sit on the huge outdoor pool patio with a drink, next to the fireplace.
Good location, comfortable beds and really nice pillows. Love the decor and the bluetooth bathroom mirror is a really nice feature.
This hotel looks nice, but is lacking. It took over 15 min to check in, 10 min spent waiting because there was only 1 person at the desk. We checked in around 6pm, so this was very inconvenient. There were 2 other people waiting behind us as well. The noise level was awful. Kids running up and down the hallways and you could hear it all. The sound from the hallways goes directly into your room. Their was a charge for breakfast, and kids were sitting in the bar area during breakfast because there was not enough seating in the breakfast area.
If you are looking for a great hotel at a wonderful price, I highly recommend Cambria. The look of the hotel is modern, the staff was friendly, it was clean! The bed was wonderfully comfortable, not too soft, not a rock either. But, lets talk about the mirror in the bathroom! Oh dear! A Bluetooth mirror! IT WAS AWESOME! I would star there again just to take a shower at concert levels! I loved it!

This place was amazing! The beds and even the couch in the rooms were super comfy. Everything was very clean.even he few fancy touches like Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom mirror. And the breakfast was awesome. I would love to stay here again when Im down in the area. 10/10.
We left in the middle of the night because our room was so hot. Check in took forever, I was in line for about 20 minutes. There was only one girl at the front desk and after about four people somebody else finally came to help her. The staff did not seem to care that we checked out 12 hours before check out time. We went to another hotel nearby Embassy Suites which was much more accommodating and the room is much cooler. I will never stay in this hotel ever again. The only good thing about it was the pool, was not worth the price at all.
Excellent hotel, extremely clean and modern. Their Chef was amazing, and the food was delicious! The jacuzzi and pool were very clean and cozy. The gym is very spacious and clean as well. This hotel has a Bluetooth integrated in the mirror of the bathroom were you can connect to your phone and listen to music while you shower and get ready!
Our four night stay was very comfortable. The rooms were modern. The facility was impeccable. Everything is brand new. The design is thoughtful. The staff was very professional and helpful. Though the purpose of my stay was business, I would recommend for leisure, as well. Best value around! Well be back!
Fantastic location: I can walk to breakfast, lunch, dinner and get coffee at my favorite place, Reserva! I like to get out of my room so I don’t really care to try their hotel restaurant offerings.For sleep, the bed is very comfortable for a smaller person like me, my husband likes a firmer bed. The decor and ambiant lighting is very relaxing. I love the bluetooth speaker in the bathroom to listen to my tunes while I get ready. I’ve completed my 20th stay at this hotel and can say that they are consistent in their standards. There were only a couple of times housekeeping fell short but the issues were not major and the staff saw to it right away. I also love that they are pet friendly!

The staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to accommodate hurricane guests. From a letter each day reassuring guests that the hotel was prepared to offering a movie night and snacks. Every single employee I encountered made eye contact, smiled, and offered assistance. Although I am not an animal lover I appreciated that the hotel allowed hurricane guests to bring their pets and did not allow it to compromise the cleanliness of the hotel. I simply cant say enough praise for the overall all friendliness and quality of this hotel even amidst a busy weekend.
Might have found my go to hotel. The rooms are new with a modern aesthetic. Everything is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are reasonable. It is tough to ask for anything more, and this place delivers better than anyone in this area.
Found hotel, had never used it before. Fit my governmentally regulated budget and was very happy with accommodations, especially compared to other similarly priced options.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! Rooms were clean, pillows were super fluffy. The Bluetooth mirror was really neat and the glass shower was beautiful. I was placed here by work but I would definitely stay again if I’m ever in the area.
This hotel is close to the airport and restaurants. It is modern and has a fabulous pool. The staff is very friendly and professional. Room service food was delicious. The rooms are very modern and have a Keurig coffee system equipped with several different coffee choices. The mattress sits on a platform bed with lights below and above. The TV is 55 and can be viewed from whatever angle you move it to as it is hung on the wall. I had a room with a good view of the streets and expressway, which looked beautiful at night. The room also has night shades which allows you to sleep comfortably during the day in the event you desire a nap. If you book ahead, you get a better rate, but even if you book late, the price for the room is worth it. Highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel appearance was very nice. The staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean. The bed was too soft you rolled to the middle and the A/C was terrible, it cuts off automatically after a couple of hours. No fan to circulate the air. You wake up at night 1 or 2 times to turn the air on. This is not a way to get a good nights sleep.
Great service for price. I will always going to be picking this hotel instead of holiday inn. That’s the reason why I ended up here anyway. Holiday inn manager rejected the service and refund the money because showed up the next day. Violated his own policy. Ridiculous. Called this hotel and they gave me better rate plus hotel is way better overall. Will be staying here from now on.
The staff greeted me and made me feel very welcome. This continued throughout my 2 day stay. They answered my questions and were engaging at the bar and breakfast, offering to help me in anyway. The rooms were modern and nicely furnished. The bathroom was especially roomy. I highly recommend this hotel!

I loved my stay at this hotel. I was there for work but know that if I have to stay in the area again Ill be staying there. The staff was very helpful and just plain great. The first room I had was beautiful and so comfortable. Due to my flight being cancelled I had to go back to hotel to stay another night. Second night I was in a two queen room and though it was also very comfortable I preferred my king room I had the first couple nights. The staff and their quality service made my stay fantastic.
Whenever I go to the Valley I stay at Cambria. Safe and very clean. Their cook is the best! He can conjure up some amazing meals. The hotel has a great bar fully stocked. Ive never had a bad experience at Cambria. Keep up the great work.
Stylish contemporary look. The ambient room lighting was excellent as well as the TV and other high tech options. Love the lighting under the bed and Bluetooth in the bathroom! Wonderful staff...professional, kind and helpful. I am a 60+ single traveler and it was a great experience. Definitely added another dimension to an already wonderful trip.
The hotel was very nice, friendly staff, great accommodation and design. Rooms are very nice and spacious. The bathrooms are also spacious and the mirror is awesome - it has a Bluetooth speaker which my kids enjoyed. Very modern and sophisticated! Would recommend for extended stay for either leisure or business.
Positive: Staff. Negative: Charged $100 incidental fees when I should¿ve been refunded. Talked to a staff member and they sent receipts assuring me they did not charge me, waited a couple days called my bank and they DID charge my card for $100.

Have the clerk at the front desk in the mornings upon customers checking out, or place a camera or bell there so they know that someone is waiting for them to checkout, because airplanes do not wait at the airport. Please also teach them on how to print the final bill, since customers like to have that upon checkout. I had to snap a photo with my phone before I left, and he had 10 minutes to make many attempts to figure it out to no avail.
Nicest hotel in the Valley. Very comfortable. Great food and staff. Very attentive. I have consistently had excellent service at the bar. I will acknowledge breakfast service can be slow, but not a big deal considering most Choice hotels offer the same limited continental breakfast and this is sit down service. I wish that I could secure the we same rates Tuesday and Wednesday that I get on Monday...might encourage me to stay longer if within company budget guidelines.Also, theyve been out of Buried Hatchet craft beer (menu item) more than theyve had it :(. But I am nit-picking. Become a Choice Rewards member and enjoy the best hotel in the Valley...hell South Texas for that matter.
The bed and pillows were so comfortable, not like any other hotel. Also the room layout and decor was very modern. My husband loved the standin shower and the bluetooth connection within the restroom mirror.
If you’re looking for a nice, quiet place to stay, this is definitely NOT the place. The noise level was horrible! The people in the room next door were up all night slamming doors, their kids were banging on the walls screaming and they had a lot of family members in/out of their room throughout the night. Front desk tried to help by kindly asking them to keep it down since it was midnight, but unfortunately these people acted as if they’ve never stayed at a nice place in their lives and continued with their disruptive behavior. They must be those “income tax” people who spend their taxes as soon as they get it and decide to book a room (within their hometown) in a nice place because this is the only time they can afford it. Never will I stay here again!
The Cambria at the McAllen convention center is 10/10. This place was modern, well priced, and had a friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and furnished amazingly. I legitimately would recommend anyone staying in The Valley for a weekend or 2 to stay here.

Nice hotel, very clean, good food and nice staff. Ate a late dinner and had margaritas all were very good. Breakfast was average. Staff was very nice but did not take care of partying teenagers upstairs even though they had multiple complaints and staff could hear them making a lot of noise from outside the room, even stated they got on to them several times for coming down to the lobby over and over all night. Thank goodness they were gone 2nd night and all went fine.
The interior and exterior of the hotel are beautiful. The beds were the most comfortable hotel beds Ive ever slept on. You really do feel like you are in a high end hotel for a fraction of the cost. Then you start interacting with the staff and remember that you are in a budget hotel. They were rude and not helpful at all. I traveled from San Antonio to visit my sister in McAllen, TX. When I checked in, I informed the front desk that my sister would be joining me at the pool later that day. The lady at the front desk said I was not allowed to bring a guest with me to the pool because we needed special wrist bands to enter the pool area. When I offered to purchase an additional band, she told me they were not for sale and that they were for guests only. I ended up having to get an additional room just so my sister could join me in the pool. It was extremely disappointing. I understand if they dont want people abusing their amenities, but I felt like I was more of a burden than a guest during my stay. The most unhelpful, rude front desk I have ever experienced.
By far the best choice I’ve made on a hotel! The style of the room was totally me! The big glass wall in shower was like a spa! Plus the back lit mirror with built in Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom was so fun. The room was way nicer than what the charged for it. I will be looking for another Cambria hotel to stay at on my next visit.
I really enjoyed staying at this Cambria Hotel, it was my first experience with the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here, it has all of the amenities I need and enjoy... microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker/service, work space, nice beds, spacious room with two queen beds and large bathroom. Just didnt care too much for the partially open shower concept otherwise it was perfect!

No maintenance person on-site which meant that the broken blackout shade did not get fixed right away. We made a call downstairs to see if we could get it fixed....no such luck at 10 PM. Apparently there is a wait list to get things fixed. What would happen for a serious emergency like an overflowing toilet? We are seriously reconsidering our next stay, which is in two weeks.
We stayed four nights at this hotel. We had a suite on the 4th floor with a view overlooking the pool. Course it was a little too cold in January to enjoy the pool, but we did spend time in the hot tub. The next best thing! The other thing I can tell you is that the buffet style breakfast that they have is second to none in all of the different hotels that I have stayed in over the years. And its been a lot! They had a bar, a workout room, and a very large Lobby that was broken up where you could have four different comfortable visiting areas right there.
Impressive hotel for the price. Location is fantastic with lots of retail and restaurants within walking distance. The bar was hoping every night I was there.The hotel was very modern with lots of little touches. The only problem is that the construction is kinda cheap so the hotel is showing its wear already even though its almost brand new. Take advantage now!
The hotel has a great atmosphere.Arriving the staff made me feel welcome, and answered my questions the best way they could, also directed me to near by places to socialize and have a few drink during my stay. The rooms were the best walking in. Just laying down after a long drive made me feel relaxed.
Negative: We had issues with sounds in the walls that interrupted our first night¿s rest. We were moved to another room only to be told the AC was ¿locked¿ and only a shift manager could help but until the next day. We were given a carpet drying fan.
Hotel was amazing! Service as well, just by knowing we were there for my boyfriends birthday they sent a slice of cheesecake over to our room for home and it was a perfect touch. Will be back.
Luxury and refinement with affordable rates. This hotel is very nice and convenient to restaurants and shopping. The tower suite feels like you are staying in a high rise apartment building. Keurig coffee maker in room was a nice touch for morning coffee. Platform bed was king size and very comfortable. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
As an experienced traveler, I can appreciate the personable staff and modern yet considerate rooms. Ive always liked the Cambria brand due to their consistency in exceptional cleanliness and am not disappointed with this location. Excellent choice of choosing the smart mirrors. I walked to ice machine and noticed that as the door closed my music was silent in the hallway. Love that feature!

This hotel provides modern luxury at an affordable price. The room looks like it is right out of an urban magazine. My room was clean and spacious. I would definitely stay again but would need to pack a make up mirror. Better lighting is needed.

Location is perfect. Shopping area right around the corner with many places to eat. There is a nice park just walking distance. The rooms are very clean. Design in rooms is very modern. Bathroom is very clean shower is very big. The mattress is very comfortable. The staff is very professional and friendly. Breakfast was amazing. It was very warm and the waffles were very good with plenty of sitting area. Outdoor pool was very welcoming.
Excellent stay, 4 stars. Liked the overall modern look of the hotel while keeping the cozyness. My kids loved the Christmas trees and fireplace the most. What we likes the least was the breakfast, not a lot of options for kids.
Overall, the place is clean, nice room layout and decor, but some disappointing factors for a seemingly upscale hotel. In the freezer, they have for sale, a pint of B&J Pistachio, that clearly has a punctured cup. In the room, one of my toilet paper rolls was empty, and the cardboard tube just left there. The walls have absolutely no insulation, so you can hear everything above and next to you - creaking beds, walking, music - and at 9:15PM, someone was vacuuming outside my door. The breakfast is made to order, so it is fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the Egg White Omlet, which is a delightful concoction of spinach, mushroom, tender pork bits & cheese, wrapped in a fluffy blanket of egg whites, complimented with a delicious, fresh, medium salsa. I was disappointed to find the espresso machine out of order, which was much needed for my early rise to work.
Great customer service. Staff was so friendly and helped us out during check in when we had a suitcase incident. The pool area is really nice and the bar tender was nice enough to service us with our own purchases bottle. The hotel is very clean and love the bathroom.
The stay at the Cambria Hotel at the McAllen Convention Center was top-notch! The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating, the lobby was bright, fun and inviting, and the rooms had a great design and comfortable beds! I was beyond impressed with the amenities. This hotel exceeded all expectations I had, especially when considering the very reasonable price.

I have stayed at the Cambria McAllen location twice. I was very impressed with the modern rooms, the lighting is really neat, like the fridge, coffee and amenities. Large bathroom, large shower and plenty of room. Love the connection with the mirror in the bathroom to play music etc... thats different!
I checked in days in advance & when i arrived i was delighted as soon as i walked into the doors. a modern & comfortable environment, friendly staff, new accomodations & a fresh sense of relaxation inmediately followed. felt like home, the room was very nice. the bluetooth mirror is definitely an added + . will definitely stay again soon.

Ive stayed at multiple choice hotels in rgv and this one is the nicest of them all. Its more directed to a higher end or business crowd because it doesnt offer free breakfast but has a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are great and the bed is very comfortable. The service was awesome as well. Beautiful outdoor pool area. The only problem was low water pressure in my shower. I will definitely will be back here when I return in a few weeks!

Loved my room, spacious, quiet. View was lacking, but for a weekend getaway was perfect. So many dining choices. I know where I will stay when I need to getaway again.
Overall this hotel is amazing! Amazing staff, very clean rooms, and delicious food! If you are wanting a good drink definitely request for Andres/Andy to make you an Angry Pepino and a shot of Purple Gecko! Those were amazing and delicious, but his service and kind attitude was just as great!

Prices are cheap for the service this place puts out.. 100 stars rating .. don’t need to bring your own soap it shampoo they have you covered .. definitely will come back here again…🤩🤩🤩

2022-04-16Its been over 3 yrs and hot tub is still dirty and broken. Hot tub water is never heated as it should. Pool is clean and I love that. Rooms are clean but somehow air-conditioning never cools enough. Love the attentiveness if I need extra towel or a room change. Will definitely come back with still hopes of using hot tub.

2022-04-25The hotel was excellent.We had access to large luggage carts.The beds were super comfortable.They offered 4 pillows, so plenty to chose from to find the right one.The blackout curtains were a really great touch.The towels were really nice and new.They had access to a facility where one could hang out and eat downstairs.This time I didnt use the pool, but next time I will.Whatever we asked for, they were very responsive and immediately took care of our needs.The Keurigs were a nice touch.The TV was perfect.I was able to by snacks when I needed them.They also sell regular over the counter medicines, in case someone has a headache or stomach ache.We were a block away from the convention center, which was very convenient.Overall, I was very pleased with the stay!Keep up the good work!I would love to stay there again!

2022-07-04We came from Dallas to visit family.We booked it based on the reviews.Me and my family really enjoyed it.We got here early morning before the check-in and we really didn’t want to disturb our family because we figured the other motels/hotels would do just fine until we checked in. We got a lesson that there are some pretty bad ones out there. We disturbed our family. We thanked God the Cambria didn’t disappoint!!!This next comment is not to bash but to encourage. The only reason I doubted the hotel was because the “hotel name” was not recognized by us compared to those next door (saw them on my run this morning). If you continue to improve on the good things you have going did you, I would not think twice about staying here every time we visit.Last comment, when we checked in (I was doubting the reviews). The guy at the front desk hadn’t greeted me directly (like I read in the reviews about the staff being friendly) so I was starting to doubt the reviews again. Didn’t take long at all when he did and if assured me I was in the right place and when we got to our room, that didn’t disappoint either.We are still here for 1 more day.

2022-03-29My father got this room for me (his daughter) my sister & my husband I feel like the hotel did it’s job, however, there are some “red flags” needing to share for future customers. The hotel seems “modern & up to date”, however, my room had lamented unfinished floors. You could see the flooring underneath and most of the job was done terrible, as the floor was lifting. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work or was never installed? So whenever we took a shower, it was left muggy. The hot tub heater wasn’t working, only the jets. This wasn’t a deal breaker, but feels like needed to be shared for a hotel that is “newly remodeled”. The maid service never cleaned our room even though we opted to have it cleaned daily. Yet the service cleaned my sisters room next door - every day. Lastly, when my husband & I checked out, the front desk had a “friend” there at 3 AM - flirting & being touchy. It made us uncomfortable especially with other customers standing there waiting to be served.

2022-07-28Look here, this place is NIIIIICE. When I arrived, I was greeted by a super friendly dude working the check in. I had called ten minutes before having been overbooked by the Hilton Garden, and these guys were not only less expensive, but friendlier and professional. Fr.tje moment I googled, called and booked my room....100 minutes!!! Another 5 to check in and I was on my way to my room. The art is a nice touch on the back drop, and the beds and rooms were very spacious and clean. The mirrors with the fancy lights is cool too. When I went to the bar, it was clean, spacious and ran by a dude that was on his A++++ game. The appetizers were hot and delicious, and the ambience and people were GREAT!!! 2022-04-29We loved the modern look of the hotel, especially the thoughtful layout and design of our room. The staff were so polite and helpful. Convenient location and comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend this hotel!
