DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas - Farmers Branch in Dallas
I used to come to this hotel many times. So, I reserved again just before the Christmas. But the person in the front desk wasnt very kind. She told us to upgrade my room but she did not. It was just a regular room, though she gave me on the top floor. However, when I laid down on the bed to go to sleep, the bed started to make a squeaky nose. Whenever I turned, the bed made noises. So, I could not sleep well. It was not a good experience.
The website clearly depicts the restaurant open 6-10 pm. Not the case! Bartender does not appear to be interested in serving food. The room was clean enough but all the hooks are broken, the closet only has a lower bar and also housed the ironing board. Not really conducive to hanging clothes. This was the designated hotel for a course I’m attending, not a hood area for restaurants. I will not be back nor will I recommend.
The room was large and the view was really nice and clean. I sayed here before and liked it thats why i came back but The front desk customer service sucked this time. No welcome and no help with a menu. Seemed like they didnt want to work. I dont think they like to cook food there as well. The bartender was rude when asked for a menu. Said it was closed but it was 4:30pm and I wanted to see if I wanted to eat there and see the prices before it opened. I took my money else where and had food delivered to the hotel.
Room was not clean and one of the lamps didnt work upon check in, was charged $100 after I already checked out for no reason with no call or email from the hotel. Front desk service was not good at all, she had an attitude ,With me for just asking questions. Even the cookies were stale and not good. Absolutely terrible experience.
I left a review and the location responded that I call them. I did. No one had any idea of who left the response. I spoke with Allen the Assist Gen Manager who apologized and stated I would receive a refund for my stay. That was 5/20. I called several times because I havent received the refund, leaving voicemails and never got a call back. Just called today and spoke with Tabitha the GM who couldnt provide an answer on who responds to reviews either. She stated that Allen told her that he told me he would look into it and couldnt leave me a voicemail when he did call back because my voicemail is full. She continued on to tell me that she doesnt have a manager to refer me to and I should call customer service. This place is very dishonest and has no accountability. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE. They are unprofessional and provide Zero customer service.
Not a pleasant experience. No toiler paper holder, water pump closet it wide open, you can see all dirty pipes and such. Toilet flush is broken, no hand soap. The room sign was non existent. Had to guess to get in. Bed was badly used and not level. I can keep on going…
Son lives in the area, so trying different hotels each trip and this is the one we chose for Labor Day weekend. We won’t be going back. Why? We understand the labor shortage but not until it was too late did we realize we needed to get on the schedule for what used to be standard room cleaning and had to get on the list for fresh towels. The pool was GREEN. Only one elevator worked. Outdoor furniture in need of repair and seat cushions scattered around the patio on the ground. Room not as clean as I would have expected. To be fair however, the water gets hot and that is about the only positive thing I could offer.
Im not surprised the last review was concerning the same problem. The front desk staff working Friday night has a terrible attitude and tries to rush the guest like if he was being timed on how quick his performance was. What bothered me is that he talks to the guest like they are his children. Hilton should not have someone representing their brand with that attitude and despicable behavior. On top of the fact I will never book here again, I hope corporate really investigates whats up with this mans demeanor. The lake is nothing fancy you could hardly see it through the windows, it isnt something to ride the train about. Everything else looks amazing!!! The bed looks good couch and bathroom is clean. Unfortunately I give a 1 star because of how he acted. Wont be back guys.
Stayed here this weekend (august 7-8th) with a few friends and we really liked our stay. our room was clean, our bathroom had enough towels + a hair dryer, the beds were comfortable and staff was nice and friendly. we were given warm cookies upon arriving. also weren’t charged the full amount until checking in. the only thing that would’ve been nice was having free breakfast but that wasn’t available to us. gym was open late at night, wish the pool was but it’s 8-8 and it’s pretty small. either than that, friends and I enjoyed our stay. we’ll be returning!
Positive: Almost everything... From all frontdesk staff who gives me excellent service. She is friendly, professional, smart and accommodating. Her customer care service is what the Hilton Company is about. Housekeeping are great as well. Negative: Coffee should be provided free to hotel guess at the lobby, instead of changing us.
I honestly would not recommend staying here. My ac was not working properly and I had to call the front desk TWICE about it. One of the workers even told me. I dont even know why youre complaining about this, its too late to do anything about it. Im gonna assume this lady had a bad day. The other doubletrees Ive been to were excellent experiences, I guess I thought all doubletrees had the same standards. I guess not :(
I used to like the Double tree hotels but upon my last visit I was robbed of a pair of 200.00 dollar air Jordans.I accidentally left my shoes in the room while I went to take care of some business but upon my return to the room my shoes were gone!!I asked them to review the security tape to show that I wore my shoes to the hotel but they acted as if my shoes never were there..Well to make a long story short..my shoes didnt walk out that room by themselves and when I contacted corporate office they told me that there was nothing that they can do about my property that came up missing.#THE DOUBLE TREE HOTEL SUCKS TO THE HIGHEST DEGREE!!
Positive: The room was clean and beds comfy. Location was perfect. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Negative: Breakfast buffet was cold, fruit tasted old, running low for at least 30 mins before someone came out and said more was being prepared. Terrible breakfast service. Pool was nice but water looked green so was kind of alarming about cleanliness.
Its been a few years since my last visit, but this location is in need of some attention. As a road warrior I understand that house keeping is on as a requested basis. However, when a guest checks out the staff should make sure that there is a stock of tissue & toilet paper. The breakfast area had no eggs on two of the three mornings I visited, the third morning I decided to dine at Love field. There were no silverware rolls available. On both mornings the water dispenser held nothing but ice.... no water. The only thing that is two star worthy is the bar area, great meals, great service..... even though someone decided to staff it with a single bartender on the night of a World Series game that included a team from Texas.
The hotel is nice, rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast buffet is very average, something you would find at any Holiday Inn Express, however you pay for this, its not complimentary. The hotel does not even give a full meal credit for their Honors members, which is disappointing. The upgraded rooms, arent different than any other rooms.
Please check your ventilation system. the return air register on the wall keep blow cold outside air, same for bathroom vent, blow cold outside air instead suck air out of bathroom; there are no controller to shut them off. then room was cold no matter how high you set up heating.
The property and the room were clean, spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately the AC went out our first night which in early August made for a hot night. I cant totally blame them as things happen. It was resolved the next morning. Unfortunately when I went down to get breakfast to take back to my room I was told that they were out of plastic silverware and I was not allowed to take the metal silverware to my room... I wasnt planning on keeping it forever... Also someone on our floor was smoking a LOT of weed in their room and the whole floor stunk like a skunk for 2 days. We even passed the housekeeping cart and the towels taken out smelled like a cloud of weed. Management should have addressed this and put an end to it. Fortunately I didnt have kids with me, if I had I would have made them send me to another floor.
I checked in on Friday and was going to check out Sunday noon. I woke up Saturday morning with little red marks on my arm. I didn’t think nothing of it we spent the day out of the room came back and showered and went to bed. Something made me wake up around 3 am and I grabbed my phone and turned on my phone light and started to search the bed and i see a bed bug. I continued searching and there was a couple more crawling around. One on the nightstand and another on the headboard. My bf didn’t think it was worth it since we were already checking out in a few hours. We made sure to check our bags when we left and will be washing everything when we get home. I told the lady at the front desk when I checked out. She didn’t seem too interested.
The only reason i gave it 2 stars was because the staff was friendly and very helpful, but i absolutely HATE this hotel. My room was so datk and dreery. I couldnt get any light anywhere by a mirror to do my make up. No overhead lights at all. Just a bunch of dim yellow lights everywhere. I cant see to do paperwork or anything. The balcony has no chairs. So, how am i supposeed to use it? Why does it exist? With no furniture? Then the bed frame sticks out so far from the actial matress, that i have hit both my knees several times. Who has wood sticking out the sides of a bed? It hurts so bad. Then no bathtubs the entire hotel. I cannot stand to take a shower. And the shower head is so high i cannot get in there without getting ny whole head wet, everytime. Its cold as Hell on dallas, freezing, and i had my hair wet everyday. And i dont feel clean because i cant stand up long enough to get clean. And noway to soak. My bones hurt. I have an Autoimmune disease. The water makes me feel better, but not here. And i got burnt by the water trying to turn it off. And again, no way to get out of the way of the water because the shower head is so highIts so dark and dreery here. Ive been totally depressed the days ive been here. Cant do any of my work because i cant see. My company paid for my room so i was stuck but i will refuse to come back to this hotel
The room was nice. Typical size. However I paid extra for a room with a balcony & lake view... there was no view other than the roof (gravel/stone) & a tree line. Somewhat disappointed with that.No one discussed the wi-fi with us, which would have been nice to know. When I asked if breakfast was included I was told NO because of how I booked, but yet Im a Valued Hilton Member 🤷🏽♀️The bag that the hair dryer was in, was open... not sure if it had been sanitized and the room attendant just didnt close the bag or if he/she never re-sanitized it...Over all the hotel is VERY NICE. We have stayed here now 2 times over the past 3 yrs.
When arriving we noticed the amenities like the pool, bar, and restaurant was not open. Online it stated these things were available. No one at the front desk informed us about it either. We asked for a room with a balcony view of the lake and when we got to the room the lake view was obstructed by trees. This is not what I paid extra to see. The mirror in our room had a huge crack which I took a pic of just in case of any confusion. Besides that the room was very spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the noise level was low. Just check with the hotel first about what to expect before arriving because online is very misleading and needs to be updated. A family canceled their reservation because of the closed pool which they came specifically for their kids to play during their stay.
In all honesty I can be somewhat picky, but a good mop, sweep, and vacuum would have gone a long way. Very thankful for the amazing beds, they made up for it somewhat. I love children, but the lobby area felt like a daycare/playground the entire time. Clearly made guests who were trying to enjoy fathers day weekend uncomfortable. Was unable to take advantage of the cook to order breakfast during our stay. Staff are amazingly patient and professional, but the cleanliness turned me off, especially for the Hilton. I only do Hilton/Hampton for my families extended stay needs/reunions and I may have to reconsider after this. Hoping this was an isolated incident.
Room was clean, staff was very nice, and I really liked the shower in our room. We had a beautiful view of the lake, but it was hard to enjoy because our balcony had no furniture and there were spiders in all corners and along the railing! I wish the balcony had been at least cleaned out properly so we could bring the ottomans out and enjoy the lake at sunrise. Also, no breakfast included? I remember the representative we talked to when we booked the room said it was included. Maybe it was my mistake, but it was severely disappointing. Having worked in hospitality management I know how much of an impact it makes on guests when breakfast is included - it really brightens everyone’s day, and the air is more upbeat and positive in the hotel, and the reviews go up.I’m also surprised at how many amenities are still closed. The pool and the bar were closed. It’s possible we missed when the bar was open, but the pool looked completely closed. Our experience in Dallas meeting our friends was great. The bed was soft, room was dark and we slept like babies. The shower was hot and the shower head reached over the top of my head (which, for a tall person, is hard to find sometimes). However, there’s just a few things keeping this place from getting five stars.Thank you for a good stay!
I checked in at 1:00am. The lady at the front desk was not friendly. The bedsheets were smelly and full of hair. I had to go down to the front desk to get clean sheets. I am sure this was a nice hotel back in the day. It is in need a make over/deep cleaning. I will not stay at this hotel again.
Clean, not a huge fan of the new policy Hilton has started about giving a credit instead and f free complimentary breakfast especially when the credit does not cover the breakfast. The money they are saving by not having cleaning personal clean your room everyday should be enough to add to the bottom line. The Hotel itself is clean staff is nice enough if you see them, when you check in they dont recognize your status, that kind of sucks.
Stayed at this location couple times in the past couple years. Its a nice hotel with clean rooms. Friendly front desk service. The night and the following morning. Our room had a balcony- which we rarely see. We had a beautiful view of the water. In all honesty, we stay here for the COOKIES. They were warm at 9pm at night which was really nice! Some locations run out of them by that time of night. Would stay here again!
We travel A LOT and this was by far one of the best hotels weve stayed at in a while! Its amazing what a good working AC can do for a good nights sleep! The beds were comfy, everything was clean, staff was very nice..definitely recommend and will be back when/if traveling through the area!
Positive: Location to are we needed to be. Negative: Hotel advertised full breakfast but we needed to pay extra when making the reservation or pay for a limited menu. There is no microwave in rooms or on the several floors either. There is a very small workout room and very tiny outdoor pool.
This is the lousiest hotel l have ever lived in my life; the first day I found the safe doesnt work, it seems that the battery needs to be changed. The front desk said that they would send the technician over, next day; they said that the tech needs a screwdriver to do the job. the third day the tech still doesnt fix the problem, and no one told me anything, so, I just give up.
I was hoping with the lifting of the Mask Mandates in Texas that the pool and bar would of been open ,but no they werent. The edges of the bed frames stick out so far that its quite easily to hit your leg against them. Housekeeping never came in and gave us fresh towels, or take our trash. Coffee was not complimentary, the price was 3.00 for a basic cup of coffee...For the price of the room, I would think we would of had better service.
I don’t want to start this review off by saying not to go here, but I will say go at your own risk - which is the same thing I guess haha.I decided to get a room just for a night to relax. I’d gone through a few reviews/pictures, and I feel like I’d seen a lot of them mentioning/showing bugs/spiders. Seeing that multiple times should have been my first clue to stay away. I decide to go ahead and book a room anyway, and hope for the best (which I did with ease through the Hilton Honors app). Being open minded eh..? Any who.I get to the hotel, and had to stop by front desk for a psychical key since my phone had died. Daniel was very very kind and pleasant. He offered me my free waters and cookies (cookies were so delicious!) after getting my key to me pretty fast.I proceed to my room, which at first glance looks fairly nice. I step out to go look over the balcony and I see spider webs on the bars outside (although I was on the 5th floor, the Lakeview was slightly obstructed by trees, so imagine getting a “Lakeview” on a lower level). Eh ok w/e I’m not sleeping out here let’s not make a big deal. Proceed to the room to lie down for a bit (the bed was VERY comfy, very soft), I notice something on the pillow. Ok w/e, toss that pillow. I also saw a live spider on the curtains, I should NOT have ignored that. I leave, and when I get back I have my cousin with me. I notice a spider web on the lamp by the phone, and that’s when I was like I cannot sleep here. There was also dust on the lid of the ice bucket. My cousin also noticed one on the pillow of the other bed, and I think 2 small bugs or spiders on the lamp under the shade.I quickly packed my things, went to front desk to let them know I had to leave. I did call down before trying to leave to see if they had any other rooms and I was informed they were booked up. The lady was also very pleasant (I can’t quite remember, but I think she said her name was Markeisha?). I wasn’t given a hard time, I was instead informed that I would be checked out and my refund should show in about 5 days, but I had it that same night (6/26/21).So I would give them about a 2/3 out of 5. I understand the virus is going on, but please try to keep all rooms as clean as possible. This could prevent former guests from ever returning or recommending this hotel, and future guests from considering a stay. The customer service to/for me was phenomenal, the comfort of the bed was great to me, but like most people were/are saying, the cleanliness of the rooms are NOT up to Hilton’s standards. Please please fix this.P.S. The pool was open, I just didn’t get a chance to get to it.Hope this helps. ✨💕
NOT the Doubletree I knew and loved. Our family rented 2 rooms on July 10 after a long days drive from New Mexico. In our room #328, we were greeted with the smell of urine on entering. The AC was set at 59 degrees (perhaps an attempt to cover urine smell?). When I stepped onto the balcony, a used pet urine pad lay at my feet. In the other room #326, there was a molded ceiling tile in the corner of the room. I have stayed in many Doubletrees and have had overall very good experiences. Additionally, there was a sign in the lobby that said no pets allowed. When the lady at the front desk saw us take a picture of the sign, she explained it was outdated. When we asked why it was still there, she just shrugged her shoulders. Thats false advertising. Very disappointed.
Had to move rooms THREE TIMES! First room didn’t have a fire alarm (wires hanging and also had black tape across air vent!??) and rooms were not properly cleaned or sanitized! Third room still not clean so I made them give me Lysol wipes to clean it myself. Huge disappointment and hoping our week long stay gets better. 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️
Hotel room I checked into was infested in baby roaches to the point where they were crawling on the bed. Used dirty blankets left for the sofa bed. Room not clean, there was literally man hair shavings in the sink and hair on the counters. Absolutely unacceptable and gross! The Manager did refund me for the troubles and situation.
The mattress absolutely destroyed my back as well as my fiancés. We asked the front desk for a firmer mattress and they advised us that all of the mattresses are the same in all of the rooms. So, if you or your partner require a firm mattress, stay away from here because the moment we even sat on the bed, it immediately sank to the box spring/mattress frame and provided no support or cushion. The linens also were clearly not fully cleaned and sterilized as some had stains on them. The room also had not been cleaned either as there was stains on the couchs mattress (trying to find a more comfortable spot to sleep) as well as the couch cushions. Would not recommend and will be staying FAR AWAY from Double Tree in the future.
Not gonna totally bash the hotel, but cannot give a good rating either. Being a diamond member, you expect to be treated like you would at any other Hilton brand hotel or big name hotel period. Double Tree used to be a top of the line hotel. That being said, there is no microwave in the room, there is a fridge, however, it only cools for 2 hours at a time (???), and only once was I greeted by the front desk employees (on my last night). Not only did I not greeted, it was hard to find someone at the desk on most nights. There was always a sign saying be right back. It is pet friendly, even though there is a sign at the front desk that says no dogs allowed in hotel. The room was fairly clean, with the exception of food found on the rail of the bed, the coffee pot was broken and looked dirty, and there was pee on the toilet seat and floor in the bathroom. The hand sanatzing stations didnt work and I cant say if the Lysol wipe station did either (didnt check). No breakfast due to COVID as expected, but expected to be informed of bagged breakfasts like other Hilton hotels. I even asked that at check in and was told no, but a sign near where breakfast is said Bagged breakfast available for Gold and Diamond members. I kept the tag on the door for do not disturb, but when the family and I ran out of toilet paper and asked housekeeping for one, I got a look of disgust like it was an inconvenience for her. The pool was closed and dirty even though the website said it was open. We booked a lake view, however, dont expect to see it unless you are on anything higher than the 4th floor. They have balconies, which most hotels dont anymore. I would stay there again, if there wasnt another optione. The plus is its right outside of Dallas and in a good neighborhood. Not far from a lot of stuff in various directions. Like I said, I would stay if there werent any other options, but there are better options in the area.
I arrived around 7p and was tired after traveling 5 hours so I was looking forward to showering then resting but when I got into my 1st room I noticed long black stands of hair on 2 different pillows.! So I called down to the front desk and receptionist who was really nice and understanding changed my room. So I had to get all my luggage and things and take them to the 6th floor to the 2nd room. As I walked into the bathroom to use it I noticed what appeared to be public hairs and urine on the seat! At this point it was time for me to find another hotel because clearly someone isnt cleaning the way they should. Because the hotel was by Hilton I expected more and was very disappointed.
What an amazing stay, to say the least. My stay has been overwhelmingly comfortable. The staff has followed up with me so many times and accommodated to all my needs. The breakfast in the mornings are fantastic and they have so many drink choices, it’s ridiculous. Sonia and Michelle, the front desk ladies were so helpful when I arrived early to the hotel and couldn’t get into my hotel at the time. I will surely be back and think that this is the place for you!
This hotel was recently renovated. First impression is good when you enter as it looks new, does not smell, and is architecturally modern. Amenities include a restaurant, bar, pool, and 24 hour gym. The halls are nice and chilly. Insulation is mediocre since I could hear people letting their doors slam. The corner room we had was spacious but fairly dim with all lights on. The room was clean overall. While the TV was new, the TV guide software was very dated. The hotel was nice overall and I would consider staying here again.
Very quiet and beautiful spacious room. Most importantly bed was comfortable and clean, Pillows ware spot on. Location of hotel is in the Business Park therefore car safety is great. Plenty of space in the lobby for activities and studying. Might I add theres a pool table and a dive bar. Front Desk is very friendly and as a Hilton Rewards member I truly enjoy y getting my warm cookies upon check-in.
I was told incidentals were $100 instead of $50 which I later found out it was only supposed to be $50 per stay and only had $70 on my credit card. It was after midnight when I arrived and was told I WOULD NOT BE LET INTO MY ROOM UNTIL IT WAS PAID even though the room was already paid in full. When I told the receptionist I would have to sleep on the floor or outside if I didnt get into my room and she said with a straight face, Thats not my problem sir, thats yours. I begged to be let in but no luck, I asked to be charged $50 for the first night and I would pay the other $50 the next night and still was refused. Also got out of the shower and realized there were NO TOWELS in the room anywhere.
Came here since hotel normally go to down the road closed. Was a great alternative for going in the Dallas are. Had a great updated, modern lobby with a small outside patio. Has pool and fitness area. Small store with snacks, chips, drinks, and medicine you may need. Of course items may be priced up some. Room was nice and updated, balcony rooms have good view of the water. If you are one to run, theres a trail behind the hotel along the river.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Farmers was a great hotel. I was very impressed with almost every aspect of the hotel itself. The views from my room were very nice, the balcony was very large, and the rooms were clean and updated. The beds were amazing as well being super comfortable and were honestly the most comfortable hotel beds Ive slept in, in a very long time. The staff was also great and super accommodating. The proximity to the airport was also great and for those worried about noise, I simply turned the AC fan to low and couldnt hear a thing all night into the morning. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Great stay. Booked twice on Hotel Tonight. Sonia at the front desk is AMAZING!! She made me feel right at home and took care of all my concerns at Check In and Check Out. Kudos for the famous DoubleTree cookies for the flight home.Otherwise the rooms are clean and well appointed. The property itself is well kept and the location is great. I will definitely be back.
Overall clean and helpful staff. If you are not a Hilton Honors member, you will need to charge your breakfast to your room as there is no way to pay for it in the dining room. Might be a problem for some business travelers and their company rules. If it is busy, you may also be standing there for a while waiting for someone to notice you because there is one person handling the entire dining room.
I had a gorgeous spacious room in the corner of the hotel and was very satisfied with the room. I have the digital key through the Hilton app and I was also able to checkin to my room before arrival. So when i arrived, I was able to walk straight up to my room and enter without having to deal with the front check in desk, but Im sure theyre pleasant as well. I went to the bar to have a few drinks and dinner. Not too much selections of beer on draft, but cocktails and wine are also available. There is a Pool table and it was getting some attention by other guest on this night. The only downside is this is a business hotel, so they get all their business during Monday-Friday, so weekends are usually slow for the staff, which means they close down the bar at 10pm. But understandable if youre not getting much business, at least you can purchase drinks and take up to your room before last call. Everything else with this hotel was pretty straight forward and simple. I only stayed one night, so no complaints. Also, the hotel looked clean in general and my room was clean and well prepared for my arrival.
Upon arriving and walking in I immediately noticed a strong gas smell. I asked about it and was told that the gas company and the Fire Dept had been out and found nothing. How is that possible? I was assured that the smell would not be in the rooms. She was correct, however, there was a very strong “dead mouse” smell that seemed to originate in the bathroom and permiate both rooms. (We had ajoining). We had to keep our balcony door open to help with the smell.I would not recommend staying here. I always stay in a Hilton hotel but this one was a sore disappointment.
First and only time visiting, I was very glad to see ample free parking in Dallas, a rarity in my experience. I was here only for dinner, so this review does not in any way reflect the hotel lodging experience at this location. The interior lobby/bar area was pleasant, clean and quite open. It was mid-week so not many people there giving my dining partner and I plenty of space and a comfortable, quiet atmosphere to talk. Dining was less of a separate restaurant and more of a small set of mismatched tables beside the bar, unless that wasnt the actual restaurant, but I did not see another. Food was a bit costly, I tried the salmon with potatoes and veggies (turning out to be only zucchini/squash mix sadly), and while the salmon was excellent in size and preparation, the sides were quite underwhelming for around $25. Service was attentive while not being intrusive, which was a nice change of pace. Overall the experience was good, but I would not seek this place out for anything other than a quiet place to have dinner and a long conversation. We stayed for 3 hours and never felt unwelcome or that we were staying too long. Served its purpose well that night.
Got in late. Driving from North Carolina to California. Husband and 2 kids.. we were exhausted. Front desk was super nice and even extended our checkout time an hour.Room was clean and temperature was comfortable with it being 85 at 12am. Beds are plush... extra cushioning and pillows are very very fluffy. So relaxing and rested really well with having driven for 11 hours. Check out was easy. Overall great experience
This hotel is definitely one I would return to. The rooms were large and modern. The entire place was clean. The only thing that might improve was the temperature of the hallways leading to the rooms. It was noticably warm, but since it was 100 degrees outside it might be hard to cool a place of that size. The room cooled down very quickly. We were pleased and will return.
I stayed here 3 times during the COVID19 pandemic and was impressed. Great place to stay when you need to be on the north side of Dallas. Easy access off of I635 and only a mile from I35. The place and room are really nice and the staff are very friendly. The only drawback is that it is not within walking distance of any restaurants or bars, other than the one in the hotel we (which is actually pretty good).
The staff here are pretty good. They were understandably helpful when my company messed up the room. Not much to do here. The bar and grill is not much to talk about. Limited food. You will need to rent a car if you want to do anything. They only have 1 shuttle that gets reserved pretty quick. The rooms were okay..nothing special. The choices for TV are limited. They do have a pretty good spred for breakfast. If you do not get a voucher it is $17.00!
My husband and I loved loved loved this hotel. We cant wait to book again. The exceptional customer service is what got us, its all about customer service and how you handle the customers thats trying to get a room. One of the ladies name was Monai she was so nice and the lady that checked us out was super nice I cant remember her name. They have a river walk where you can walk by the lake and just enjoy the cool breeze. Everything was amazing we cant wait to book again.
Easily the best DoubleTree Ive visited! Everything from the lobby to the corridors to the room itself was very clean & well maintained. The interior design is sleek an artistic. Rooms are spacious and bed was comfy. There is a balcony with lake view as an added bonus! Enjoyed my stay, I highly recommend this hotel
Overall a good clean hotel. No cookies were given to us at our checkin possibly because we got in late. Elevator band aids dont look nice and the build in the sign board was fused just showing minor attention needed to maintenance issues. Water pressure could have been better. Otherwise a perfect stay.
The room was always clean and orderly when I returned each evening. I enjoyed being able to open the balcony door for fresh air. I called guests services and they were able to send maintenance person immediately. In a decent area. Neither the bar nor restaurant had any type of seating that was out of the traffic or in any way secluded. The stay was worth the money.
Beautiful hotel, friendly staff. Modern design and decor. The rooms were decorated with modern design in mind, generally comfortable--although one person in our 3-room party mentioned their bed was too soft. The room and bathroom didnt only LOOK clean, it FELT clean. The public area downstairs was large with a bar, breakfast and lunch area and lots of light from the windows. The swimming pool area overlooked the lake with trees nearby and provided a walkway to enjoy the lake. The hotel also provided a small maybe 30- person movie theatre for the weekend and had a gym as well.
Great experience so far. As advertised, I was greeted with a warm chocolate-walnut cookie. Room is optimal for business with desk at couch and full-sized desk and lamp by the TV. Water gets extra hot. Nice layout and service overall. Only complaints: broken elevator thats slowing everything down; found room temp was turned way down when I got back today.
The General Manager of this Double Tree spoke down to me and accused me of things I was not even doing but only what she feared and anticipated which was not reality. The General Manger implied she was kicking me out of the hotel during a deadly winter storm and power outage in Texas but yet would not outright tell me yes or no as to whether she was going to actually kick me out after asking her several times. So she had me in limbo with only 40 minutes (check out time) to make a decision as to whether I would be out in the cold again with no power at home. She constantly spoke over me with her anticipation of what I would do and would not stay on topic of what I was asking which was are you kicking me out or not but just voiced her fears of something that wasnt happening. I could not believe this was another black woman who was doing exactly what she was anticipating and feared that I would do. She was quite abusive and rude and did not treat me like a customer at all. Thank God I was able to stay with a friend very close to me in the area. I would never want to stay here again as long as this General Manager is running this hotel. She really needs some training on how to treat guests who are going through a difficult time with the Texas power and water outages.
The staff was very welcoming like they were happy to see me. They also greeted me on the way in the next day. They offered complimentary water as well. The room was clean and the maid service was consistent. The directory and other items were neatly arranged on the desk. All my things were left exactly how I left them and managed while leaving the room clean. Ill be here a few more days but happy so far with my experience.
Pros:Lovely modern rooms with all the amenities. Nice setting by a lake. Clean. Affordable.Cons:A/C was working poorly for almost half of our stay, even in the lobby and main areas it was hot. We had to switch rooms at midnight one night because the a/c went out again. If they could get this handled my rating would be 5. Pool was way too small too.
First room we were given had a strong smoke smell. I couldnt catch my breath,it was that strong. So they moved us. Next room was pleasant and clean . Breakfast was very minimal and one staff was dressed in tshirt and leggings. We will not be back to this location. Bed was soft.
Newly renovated (most of it anyways, there was a very loud air compressor that turned on as I was checking in making it difficult to hear the staff). No microwave in room or on site guest laundry (there is a drop off laundry service, but I did not use it). Solid water pressure in the nice showers, although the water temp would vary quickly, so if you like hot showers like me, be ready to crank the knob to the cold side. Biggest complaint I had was the room temperature. A/C unit didnt seem to be adequate for the Texas summer heat. I also noticed what I thought was an exhaust vent in my room blowing hot air into the room starting around early evening every day which did not help the temperature situation. Otherwise, the staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. Items in the market located near the front desk seemed a bit on the expensive side ($2 for a 12 oz can of soda). Breakfast was ~$16 which drove me away from trying it.
Buyer Beware~ Check their website for best price! I asked to extend my stay one more night but my room was already booked. The person at the front desk said they would match my rate and upgrade my room. The next morning the Operations manager after reading the notes in the computer said the rate would be $160 because it was Wednesday. However, when looking online the price was the same as the Tuesday. This is a shame, it was a 5 star experience from my 1st greeting and my experience at the bar.
The hotel was very nice and the room was large and spacious The bed was very comfortable-a wonderful nights sleep. The ONLY disappointment was on Sunday when we visited the Spa for massages. I did not feel that the experience was all it could be. My therapist was wonderful and the massage was great, however, there was bleed through from the next room (conversation, chatter and laughter, which was distracting. This really took away from the entire relaxation experience. I did mention it to my therapist )he apologized during the massage and again after the massage), which I felt was very sincere on his part, but I just felt that I missed out on the complete experiene.
Check in was easy. Went downhill from there. The noisy elevator had broken something all over the floor. The hotel must be fireproof, because there were no fire extinguisher in their compartments, so I guess you wont be needing one. Room had a peculiar, but not bad, odor. Perhaps it was the mold growing in the shower that I was smelling. Beds were comfortable and sheets were clean. There are no USB ports for charging your devices. Breakfast was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the croissants were especially wonderful. I completely finished my breakfast before coffee was available, even after asking two employees to make more. Breakfast is important, but coffee is importanter. All in all, I would rather stay somewhere else, but remain neutral on recommending to others.
By far the worst and weirdest hotel I have ever stayed at. It has the atmosphere of a bombed out building in a war zone and the service to match. It is under renovations and really should be closed during this. Good luck finding the lobby. It took me a while to fine the tiny printed sign. Then I was checked in by a grown woman who had various faces painted on each of her fingers. Once she was done I wondered around busted up drywall and moving equipment trying to locate the elevator. When that arrived it sounded like that would be my last elevator ride. The elevator took a disturbingly long time to go both up and down. My company offered a meal while I was there and the site has no restaurant. I was unable to locate the phone number for room service and went to the front desk. I was told the number and given the option to call the main desk and they would transfer me. 20 minutes. The phone rang for 20 minutes. No one answered. Stayed for business. But even by business standards this was pretty poor. Not to mention that for some strange reason EVERY mirrored surface in the room is busted. And the added bonus to this place is that they are making progress on the construction.........AS YOU DAMN SLEEP! Several of my co-workers left to sleep in their cars because the crews were working overnight in the hotel! But on a high note I got to listen to the maintenance guy and manager complain at the front desk about customers. Definitely would not stay again.
I stayed for 4 nights and had a wonderful experience. I was greeted with a cookie and an upgraded when I walked in the door. The shuttle service was fantastic, taking me to and from my destination each day. The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a rock each night! It was an easy 15 mom drive to the airport, Id stay here again!
The room was large. The staff was nice . The food in the bar was good and not too outrageously priced considering it was in House Restaurant. My room did smell like smoke when I walked in as if a previous guests. And when people were showering in the morning there was a loud whining noise. Overall my stay was good
To be fair, we got the only free room. The room wasnt clean and was next to the elevator. No other rooms were available, and management was super flexible and understanding. They didnt charge us anything. We ended up going to an adjacent property. Still worked out well for us, and we really appreciated how nice and professional the staff was.
Hotel seems like it will eventually be nice. As its currently under renovation it is lacking many amenities that should be standard. The rooms that arent renovated yet are clearly in need of it. The hotel staff has been wonderful. Absolutely top notch. Until its complete however, I would recommend staying somewhere else.
Nice facilities, newly renovated. Pretty good location. I was a little disappointed that there was no included breakfast with the stay and instead it was $16 extra per person per day. That sounds a little high to me. I didnt try it so I cant speak as to the quality of the breakfast. The elevator is show as heck though. Id suggest taking the stairs of you are only going up a few floors.
Beds are so comfortable and our room was so spacious being a corner suite. Even though the air conditioner went out during my stay the general manager ca.e to the room personally with bottled water and added extra Hilton honors points onto our account. I would definitely recommend
I booked this hotel based on my experience at other DoubleTree locations, specifically, for breakfast. Rooms are clean and the location is newly renovated. Upon check-in I was given a coupon for breakfast for being a loyalty member. When I went to breakfast and tried to order it, the server lady needed to check it with the “chef”. The chef informed her he can’t make an omelette, because he works at night and can’t find anything to make an omelette.she said you can have the continental breakfast!! Totally defeated the purpose of me booking there!!Disappointing experience to say the least!!!
I was here for 5 weeks attending a course. The staff made me feel like I was home. They were kind, helpful, professional. From the first day I was here until the last. This will be my only hotel I stay at while in the DFW area. I will miss them i have come to know them as friends. Thank you
Service was good. The breakfast is great. Cant give feedback on room service or other meal hours. Room was clean and so was the rest of the facility that I used. Stayed in room 427 which is basically the middle of the fourth floor right outside the elevators. It was quiet and well maintained. Clean bathroom, clean room, comfortable bed. Great stay.
Location was ideal and the access to the property was easy. Staff is super friendly and always prepared to help you out. The curtain in the shower was too short and when I showers the water spilled out onto the bathroom floor causing me to have to put several towels on the floor so I wouldnt slip.
My husband and I stayed two nights in February 2020. Thought the hotel was nice until checkout. My husband went to get our vehicle only to find both back tires, wheels etc gone! They were stolen in the night even though we had parked in the front of the hotel under a light! The hotel manager was so sorry and gave us two free buffet tickets that neither of us had time to use as we were busy calling Police, insurance, tow truck, and Chevy dealer to get our truck repaired. We had to stay in Dallas 2 extra days and $5,000 later the hotel didn’t even offer us a room for the night. The police officer told my husband that this is a reoccurring event at this hotel even though they have advised putting in cameras and better lighting. The tow service said he is called to this hotel often for the same problem. We have a bad taste for the hotel and Dallas in general! What a way to start a vacation!!!
Rooms are great, service has been great, their shuttle service is outstanding(if never seen better). There only things on the down side are you dont get complimentary breakfast if you book through Expedia and the dinning room is under staffed in the morning. You could be waiting 10-15 for an attendant.
This hotel staff was absolutely amazing and so accommodating. Although the hotel was under construction, they made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and having the fullest experience. They had great suggestions for Dallas activities. And the cookies were delicious. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!
If I could give this zero I would. First of all they told me my card was declined, which it wasnt. Then they apologized. Then they charge you $17 per person for breakfast, When there are no signs that it costs a warm and a leg. Also the food sucks. Then I ordered 2 shots from the bar $20. The server was extremely rude. Then my friend paid for the shots and they charged my room as well. I had to pay $40 for two cherry bomb. Then I call to ask why, and there manager isnt sure. Worst hotel ever!!!!
Wonderful stay. Front desk staff, super nice and accommodating. Checked in the day before online, just had to pick up my key. Internet was a little slow, but still workable. Beautiful lake view, roomy, comfortable bed, very clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
I stayed here last week on business and found it to be a nice hotel. Cleanliness was good except the room had a strong deodorizer smell that will probably give most people a headache. We are very disappointed that the level of service appears to be rapidly dropping in what was once a very nice play to stay.
Great hotel with great rooms. We got a suite with a balcony overlooking a lake behind it. The beds were beyond soft. They did only provide 3 pillows per bed, which was just okay. I prefer at least 4. When I am traveling alone, I like to take pillows off the other bed and use all of them at once like you are sleeping in a cloud. However, this time, traveling with someone, I was unable to take more than 1 pillow from the other bed. I just had to wait until he fell asleep and then snuck over to his bed like a car burglar and steal it. Totally worth. 11 out of 4, would stay again.
Terrible experience at this hotel. Flight was cancelled and made reservation through 3rd party same day so couldnt cancel. It was late night and when we called for shuttle we were told they werent running it because of holidays. Had to pay for a cab to get there. Hotel was under renovations so bar was closed and couldnt get anything except snacks to eat. We were told that the shuttle would be available at 6 AM next morning - we get to front desk and are told no shuttle. NOT HAPPY! They finally had a manager take us to the airport. Then I get home to find out not only has 3rd party charged me for the room, but DoubleTree has ALSO charged me for the room. Have made several attempts to get it corrected and now Im told the 3rd party did not mark the reservation as a prepay and I need to contact them. Hope to get resolved soon - but will never stay there again.
Also i waited on the front to check in like 30 minutes. I ask the second lady at thw front if I coyld check in and said i needed to wait more. Then the first lady said that she thought we where with the first group. Hot tip they where from mexico they were wearing t-shirts saying so, me and my mom werent. Plus i ask the second lady if I could check in. That was really bothersome. And they just gave me a cookie to chill down. And again the breakfast is not included.
Looks good from the outside and lobby. Beds were surprisingly comfortable. However, the room seemed run down and outdated. The shower was rusty in spots and the caulk was peeling. I was waken up at 5 by a call asking to change my scheduled breakfast from 715 to 6. Overall, if I were paying for this room, I would be extremely disappointed. Too many other options in the area for the rooms to look like that.
If I could have given less than zero stars, I really wish I could. Had I known that this hotel was going under a renovation I really would have booked with a different hotel since there are couple more nearby.I had three different travel guests that traveled to see our family who all had a negative experience.1. Rooms inside smelled like sewage2. All guests breathed in fresh paint fumes3. None of the rooms had refrigerators.4. When parties requested different rooms, none was avail.5. Moldy toast was seen by one of the guests at breakfast. We opted on dining outside instead.6. When we complained to the customer service rep, the representative was extremely rude and unprofessional.I dont care if you are turning the hotel upside down or what, if you dont have the capacity to run the hotel under minimal sanitary condition regardless of the renovation then this place really needs a change in management.Probably the worst hotel experience I witnessed.Absolutely disgusting. Please avoid like plague.
My air conditioner did not work. I was moved to another room hours later but the room I was moved to was nasty. The pillows were not clean and the bathroom had earrings left behind. I reached out to Hilton and heard nothing back. Very disappointed! I love staying at Hilton hotels.
Stayed here as part of the FB Date Night in the Park Package. It included transportation to & from the event, a king size lakeview room with a balcony, chocolate covered starwberries delivered to the room, breakfast for 2, and a 2pm late checkout. All of the staff, from the front desk to the room attendants, maintenance, and breakfast attendants were outgoing, friendly and helpful. The bed was outstanding and the room was very nice with an excellent bed. Slight snafu with the digital key and one of the elevators, but they did not detract from the overall quality of our stay. We will definitely take advantage of this package if it is offered again.
This hotel has just been remodeled. Normally I would say that is a good thing but in this case it wasn’t. When I got to the room the first thing I do is turn the ac down. When I got back to my room it was as hot as ever. Turn out the room was having some major problems with the ac system. After moving to another room which took the better part of an hour, the second room had the same problem. Rather than call and deal with the front office I was able to fix the unit myself. Not a fan of staying here. The staff wasn’t super helpful and they didn’t even have the cookies when I arrived.
Booked a 3 night stay and left after 2 days. Checked in and A/C in room was broken. No engineers available, so we moved rooms. Our balcony room now walked out onto the roof. No washcloths stocked in new room; had to ask front desk who acted put out. Elevator broken as well as ice machine on 2nd floor. Breakfast next morning was terrible (barely warm food and stale bagels). Day #2 and now our room had a funny (sewer/sulphur smell) in the a.m. . Decided to stop by front desk and speak with a manager on our way out for coffee. No one at the front desk...The agent on duty was on her phone around the corner face timing with someone and fixing her hair in the mirror! Final straw! Never again will we stay here! Maybe a manager will reach out and maybe not. Their claim is to make it right. What a complete waste of almost $600.
Nice location to neighboring cities and restaurants. Rooms are quiet clean and bed is comfy. The glass encased shower is beautiful with the rain head massager. One more thing to add to the plus side are the complementary chocolate chip cookies to guest. The only downside was no microwave in room.
Good points: Friendly front desk staff, and close to the business I was visiting.Bad points: Hot water was luke-warm at best, making for 4 rather uncomfortable showers, despite reporting it to the front desk. Housekeeping set my thermostat to 62 on two separate occasions, despite a note asking them to set it back when they left. I could easily hear the guests in the adjoining room thru the door.
I was at the hotel on business and everything was top knotch. Room itself was very clean. My King room was comfy. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Review must be 200 characters long so I am adding this last sentence as a requirement to fill that need.
The rooms are updated and the hotel is nice but the customer service is horrible! The assistant manager, Gloria, is very rude and unprofessional. She doesn’t comprehend the concept of “customer service” or her job as a manager. My fiancé and I were stuck in the elevator for over 30mins and there was no professional courtesy instead there were insults when I Confronted her about the lack of service. Also, the same night, 3 boys got stuck on the same elevator. Luckily, we heard them screaming and told the front desk. When I told Gloria, she brushed the situation off and tried to play on my intelligence by telling me they were laughing. Also, they said the charges from beverages and cookies ($22 to be exact )would be taking off after I told them there should be some professional courtesy and to my surprise that never happened. Also expect the smell of marijuana coming from your Neighbors room. And don’t think that you can call the customer service line to file a complaint because they will delete your reservation and your confirmation number will not pop up nor will the name from your reservation just BEWARE! If this checks off on your list and sounds like a great experience go for it but for me it was definitely not.
Where to start. This is a booking for business training. Free shuttle service prearranged between companies. They have one shuttle. Thats it. So lots of waiting if you want to use it. Our class waited 90 minutes for the shuttle after training. The hotel is 10 minutes away.Two. We had no breakfast service. Manager states they are having staffing issues. So 12 hungry guys left with toast for breakfast.Oh, and there is nothing ,close by, so forget about walking anywhere. No microwaves in the rooms. Even the crappiest placed have microwaves. No bottles water. They ran out.One star.
The bed was comfortable the only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because the faucets in the shower are almost coming off. I am guessing its because they are different an a little hard to figure out so people torque them to get the water to come on. Also there was a light odor of sewer in the room.
Comfortable and clean hotel in Farmers Branch with parking close to the front entrance. Staff is pleasant and kind, and of course the chocolate cookie was warm. Only downside is that breakfast is mysteriously included only with certain rooms ($17 a plate if not included!!). But at least theres a McDonalds not too far away.
I had to go back and change my review from 5to 3 stars after this visit . After staying here everytime we stay in the Dallas area with my family this time somehow we booked a room that did not included breakfast . Okay our mistake , but 16 dollars a person for breakfast is ridiculous!!! Next time we will definitely shop our options since breakfast in this hotel can almost pay for another nights stay -_-
In my younger years, I use to base my hotel experience on whether or not the establishment carried the Texas waffle maker but nowadays, I book solely on the room experience and the gym. Fantastic sleep and comfy room. The gym didnt have every workout equipment but gives you the means to have a creative flow. Breakfast was for a price but delicious(and has the bonus of the Texas waffle maker) Highly recommend this hotel.
I dont normally do 1 star reviews because I own a small business and I know these kind of reviews can sting a little bit.I reserved 2 rooms last week so I could take one of my employees to attend a factory training class for our Bryant systems. We were registered as participants in a group that was given a really good discount but when I got the bill I was charged the regular rate so I paid about $576.00 more than the rest of our group. I have contacted Hilton and nobody is offering to make it right. I have been a member of the Hilton Honors club for more than 10 years and I Always look for Hilton properties when I travel, I spend an average of $3,000.00 per year with them but if they dont make it right Ill look to spend my money elsewhere. If someone makes it right Ill gladly remove this post.
Under construction but was still fairly clean. Front Desk staff was helpful but the manager is a problem. I had a billing issue and was told to speak with the manager. Well it has been 3 weeks now of me leaving messages for her with no call back. I cannot recommend this hotel until they start speaking with their customers.
The hotel is at a quiet location, but not too far from the main access roads. Best solution would be to install a digital thermostat. The staff was accomodating. We appreciate being shuttled to the office site and to the airport at the end out stay for no additional cost.
Nice hotel. Great location. Convenient to most of the Metroplex. Situated between 2 office buildings. The lake view is great. Nice place to go for a run or walk in the morning. The beds are soft so if you prefer harder beds, you will be disappointed. It will definitely be my go to hotel when I visit again.
I understand the place was undergoing a remodel- but unfortunately this ruined my experience. They gave me a room where the shower didn’t work, had me go to another room to shower and go back. Then moved me the next day. Their restaurant and bar was closed. The shuttle wouldn’t take me somewhere 5.2 miles away (.2 over) and they didn’t even offer to compensate for all the inconvenience. I remained calm, but was very disappointed with just about everything except for checking in.
This has officially been the worst stay at ANY hotel I HAVE ever experienced !! The front desk staff has been indifferent as to the quality of my stay!! And has been undependable for any and all requests! They have been rude and disgruntled at any and all requests !!they charge $14 for the breakfast which is mediocre at best !! there is no on-site laundry facility !! and the biggest issue is that MY ROOM HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED SINCE I CHECKED IN 5 DAYS AGO!! This because they fired their nighttime cleaning crew and I work at night and sleep in the day ... So when I called at 5 the first night, was told my room would be cleaned while I was gone yet when I arrive the next morning at 4am, my room was as I left it. I was told the cleaning crew left early, so I would have to have it done before 5. So The next day I called at 4 oclock at only to be told that I would not have my room clean as the cleaning crew had left even earlier today and I would need to call earlier the next day so the next day I called even earlier it was 330 so that I can have my room cleaned and you guessed it yet again they left even earlier and this today at 2 oclock !! So once again my room went uncleaned !!!! Its 1 oclock in the afternoon and I just call down to try to set up a cleaning for my room at 1:30 and I was told that if I wanted my room cleaned today.. it would have to be done NOW as the maids were done for the day and would be leaving shortly this is INSANITY!!!! Another issue I had a package delivered today before 10:30 AM it was to arrive I asked the night staff specifically to please call my room immediately upon arrival of the package it was crucial that Id be awakened and informed that this packages were here for business reasons but as the front desk has proven they were unreliable and this never happened!!! This lack of concern lack of dependability the entire situation it is absolutely been awful!! I would check out and check into anywhere else if it were not so expensive to do so last minute ...the other comparable hotels in the neighborhood are over $200 with taxes if I were to try to transfer now in contrast this hotel which I am paying $138/night with tax included with some advanced notice. So Im stuck here for 2 more days.. But when I check out, you can be CERTAIN I WILL NEVER STAY AT DOUBLE TREE EVER AGAIN!SPARE YOURSELF THE TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! And DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
The room itself was alright had to call for maintenance twice because the thermostat was broken and it wasnt getting cold. By far the best service I have had at a hotel in a long time and possibly the best service I have had ever. Its not too far from major highways and is tucked back into a nicer area which seems to be blossoming.
Easy access from freeway and plenty of parking spaces. The rooms are standard hotel rooms. They are advertising that a full refresh is upcoming, so I suspect the rooms will get a makeover. Nice gym, pool, and bar area. Also has a beautiful lake right behind it with a walking path that circles it.
Not a great experience....first of all the service needs much improvement. We not only had two hotels room booked but we also rented a small conference room for a few days and it seemed like anything we asked for anything like additional glasses for water, it was a problem. Dont ever ask for a cookie as you will have to prove that you are a hotel guest. The rooms needs overhauling as they are showing their age and in need of remodeling. The first day we asked if the room could be locked while we went to lunch since our laptops were in there and we were told that is not something they usually do for people not renting the room and we had to remind them that we were in fact paying for the room. All in all, we will not return. Finally the internet connections was horrible...you would think being on the first floor in a conference room there would be a reliable connection....not the case at all.
I am a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at many of their properties. This property was fine - clean, sufficient, no complaint there. One staff member at the desk was extremely friendly upon check-in. However, another tried repeatedly - for around five minutes - to discourage me from leaving my car parked in their parking lot for the week I flew out of town. She claimed it was usually only one or two nights people could park vehicles, even though I called before booking the stay to check on the parking and the complimentary airport shuttle, AND I specified this pre-approval in my special instructions on the online reservation. She also claimed there had been a lot of vandalism to the cars in the parking lot recently. I assured her I wouldnt sue them and insisted these were prior arrangements and I wasnt changing my mind. All that wouldnt have bothered me much except that when I called a week later from the airport for their shuttle to bring me back to my car, I was refused because I didnt have a current reservation. We went back in forth on the phone because I couldnt imagine in what universe a one-way shuttle was normal, but they were insistent. After my FORTY-DOLLAR cab ride from the airport, I went back into the lobby to make sure we hadnt had a misunderstanding, and she said again Id need to be staying with them a second stay to get another shuttle ride. I will not stay there again if I can help it. The Days Inn down the road was MUCH cheaper and a lot friendlier. I dont need Hilton Honors points enough to be out $40 for a cab ride that should have come free AND to be treated like a dummy. I did NOT leave as a satisfied guest.
Had a company conference and the entire staff did an amazing job in meeting our every need. The staff is most always very good at their jobs and check in and out is usually fast. There is no way I would stay at this hotel for that outrageous of a price with few extra immenities.
The breakfast staff make it uncomfortable to eat a free breakfast by presenting you with a bill and expectation of tip even though they didnt serve me anything. Perfectly connected to freeway and with good staff. A good balance of privacy and access to amenities. Easy access to the Interstate to downtown.
Had prepaid reservation. Charged me $80 extra at check out. Called to dispute charge they told me to call the third party to take care of the issue on my own. I worked as a Front Desk clerk. In situations like this we called the third party and took care of EVERYTHING. They just don’t want to do their jobs. It was a charge from Hilton not SnapTravel (third party). All they had to do is issue me the refund for the wrongful charge. Also I asked for a cookie on check out in the morning. She looked at me like she’s annoyed and disgusted and was reluctant to give it to me. What the heck... horrible customer service. Stayed here 1/19/10 checked out 1/20/20 I stay at hotels often in Dallas. Stayed here several times. Never coming here ever again.
Stayed here on two occasions. First time the lady was very reluctant to offer diamond upgrade. Still didnt get Honors floor. The plumbing is starting to show its age as the toilet constantly runs and the hot / cold is backwards! A/C barely cooled my room down. Very stingy on the breakfast. They make sure you only get continental breakfast...really? Housekeeping is knocking on doors at 8:05 am...wow...
Have stayed at this location a few times now over the span of 4 stays and about 12 nights. This place is literally falling about. The elevator has broken buttons, smelly hallways, broken towel racks, and old decor.I can almost forgive the old decor, but the lastest incident prompted me to edit this review. During the latest stay, 3 nights Monday through Thursday, on Wednesday when I come back after a day of work I noticed an extreme smell in my room. Turns out they painted my room while I was away ... in a middle of a stay! Needless it is not safe to stay in that room. I asked the front desk to switch rooms but everything is booked. She tried to get a fan from mechanic (to air dry the room?) and thats when I insisted on either another room or another hotel. Thats when suddenly a room was available.tl;dr dont come here during renovations unless you like getting high off of paint. Wont stay here again.
When we came the whole place was under construction so being woke up at 8am every morning was not fun. Also housekeeping left wet sheets on our beds from my sons diaper leaking, and the one time I asked them to change it they acted like the world was ending, knowing they have mattress protectors. They acted like my son was an brat for having an accident through his diaper. The hotel is beautiful but the eggs at breakfast are runny and there are no extras with this hotel like with the other hotel we are at now.

2022-04-12The stay was okay. I think Ive stayed here 3 or 4 times. I love the balcony rooms lake view. There arent any lights on the balcony so at night you can’t see anything. The lights are dim in the room and the light on the vanity mirrors do not work. Checked in and I only had 1/4 of fissure left on the roll and no extra tissue in the room. I give this hotel a 6 maybe 7 of of 10. Oh the cookies are always great. I hope this review was helpful.

2022-04-09Far exceeded my expectations. Check in was easy, the room we stayed in was exceptionally clean. It may have been one of the cleanest rooms Ive stayed in at least during the pandemic, if not in the years prior. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The stay was quiet even though we had a parking lot facing room. The bed was like sleeping on a puffy cloud! The location was perfect for our needs of getting into and out of DFW and Uptown Dallas.

2022-05-05The shower, bed, and location was great, but – I did not like that the staff got my room confused with another. I did not like that someone tried to come into our room in the middle of the night with a keep its with a key card and if our door was not locked they would have walked in on me and my family. I did not like the poor communication received from staff regarding this mishap. I did not like the lack of resolve regarding this situation. I did not like having a charge attempted to my credit card for a no show when we arrived at the scheduled time of our reservation. I did not like the interruptions such as being locked out of our room and the knock of housekeeping asking us if we were leaving. I did not like how my special request notes were not honored (room for 4 required additional blankets, towels, and 2 beds)! I do not like how the situation was handled and how the manager told me that this same thing could have happened at any other hotel. I did not like how the pool was freezing in spite of the very hot temperatures outside. Our toes were literally numb and everyones teeth were chattering. Lastly I did not like my overall experience at such a renowned hotel. I hand picked this location because I expected so much more. I am disappointed and heartbroken. I wish more could have been done to comfort my family. Instead we just had to mustard it up and make the best out of it because it was my sons state tournament.

2022-03-17Positive: Hotel itself is nice. Staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast was complementary. Parking is nice and close to hotel. Refrigerator in room. Negative: Our room had a very bad smell. They had to switch rooms for us and it still smell. We had little bugs crawling around. Room is not that clean. Heater didn¿t work.

2022-04-17You only get your room cleaned if you ask for it, they are rationing soap because apparently theres a shortage(??), several of the TV channels dont work, they close the pool at 8pm for whatever reason, I got locked outside in a fenced area that I could neither get outside further or back inside so had to call, and the hotel was maybe 1/8 to 1/4 booked and they wouldnt give me a lakeside room. Oh, and an $18 breakfast is an absolute joke for something that should have been free, and the waitress had the audacity to point out the line for the gratuity. 😂 I got my own breakfast, you didnt do squat.Overall, it was in a nice safe area and the room was clean.

2022-04-28Place looks run down.Room didnt have shower curtains, and when I asked for some the front desk person responded with again? Suggesting that this is a more regular occurrence.Breakfast is the same type stuff as what cheaper hotels serve for free.Staff were helpful and friendly for the most part and fixed immediate problems quickly.

2022-06-21It was disappointing being told that I had to choose between receiving my Hilton honors rates or a military discount. Im affiliated with both and therefore should be afforded the opportunity to receive both discounts. In doing so I will feel appreciated as an honors member and be given recognition of my military association by honoring my service. Oh and I got frustrated in the dining area with the food service employee that brought over the bill, because I was asking questions about the food charges and didnt get any answers until finally someone that understood English was brought over to our table.

2022-05-10Positive: The space in the room!! The amenities in the room were nice!! Parking way too expensive !! Breakfast was free for me so it was good. Pretty expensive if you had to buy it for what you got. Nice views but location was far from restaurants and such.

2022-05-20After a long day at work I was so tired my head hurt. The sweet front desk guy ask if a warm cookie would help. Loved he went out of his way to make my day better. Amazing staff, view, food. Highly recommend 👌

2022-04-18There is nothing negative I can say about this place! Staff was absolutely amazing! The most friendliest and outgoing bartender Ive met by far. Her name is Jaquelyn? Sorry for misspelling. But the rooms were amazing!
