I have been staying at Embassy Suites by Hilton McAllen Convention Center since last year for work. For the most part, I end up staying for about a week. I travel plenty for work duties and have stayed at many hotels (many Hilton brand hotels) all over Texas and the U.S. However, I will say that this hotel is my favorite hotel. To start with, the establishment is always pristine and operated by the most respectful, professional, and caring individuals. The breakfast selection is the best. Chef Fabian makes the most scrumptious omelets and pancakes to order and always has his homemade salsa warm and ready for hotel guests. One of my favorite individuals is Mrs. Linet. She is absolutely a gem and one of the most diligent and genuine human I have ever met. Every morning, Mrs. Linet makes sure that I have a breakfast and service that will start my day on the right foot. She is always so attentive, timely, and professional. Mrs. Linet delivers on all aspects of her duties and conducts her job with passion and respect for hotel guests. I look forward to many more stays in McAllen and many more omelets!
This hotel really makes it worth it. After having to book a week long business stay here the morning kitchen staff for on the border were very pleasant and formal and loved being greeted by their warm presence and welcome vibes. It was as if being welcomed into their south TEXAS home. Fabian and his salsa and beans and friendly greetings to Linet and her friendly chats and customer service on how my day was going. How my stay was and being a host of the wonderful city of the RGV advising on places to check out. Also want to highly commend the cleanliness of this hotel and LOVE the evening happy hour. Will definitely be booking my stay here. Even if I have business all the way in Brownsville. They KNOW how to run a great and welcoming Hotel.
My family and I have been staying at the embassy suites McAllen convention center for almost 2 weeks and our experience has been wonderful from the nice polite people at the front desk to the wonderful staff in the kitchen Linnet and Fabian are two excellent workers they really make you feel welcome. Always so attentive and with a smile on their faces. Also housekeeping is been wonderful and so attentive Eva, Jenefer and other workers are been really nice and hospitable. We highly recommend this property. Very satisfied with the service 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Everything was great, but when I called the front desk and asked them to prepared the sofa bed into bed, They said we have to do it ourselves. Breakfast - orange juice was more likely water, the food was great. Comfortable beds and bathroom, we asked for the premium level suite. Will stay again in February.
Great location. Polite, friendly, and respectful staff. Excellent service and food. Very clean room, lobby, and grounds. Not pet friendly unless pet is a service animal, even though we searched specifically for pet friendly places. Charged us $150 + tax carpet cleaning fee.
This place oozed a lot of newness. Appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel as well. The rooms are slightly different than the historical dark rooms of the Embassy. The layout is fantastic for each room. This place seemed like the place to be. Highly recommend. Hotels are expensive for the most part, but this place is worth it.
I always enjoy staying at this hotel. I love the extra space and the fact that we can have visitors over and offer them a space to hang out. I have not been to the breakfast buffet recently or since the pandemic but that is just a personal choice. The location is great, near and surrounded by food, beverages, shopping options.
Hotel wasn’t bad. I have a Tesla and choose this hotel because they have chargers on site. Unfortunately they all do not work and there was a non electric car parked in one of the charging spaces. When I told the front desk they didn’t seem to care and I was told that they allow that. Not okay when you are also a guest and need to charge and there are no other charging spots available. They didn’t even offer to contact the guest to see if they would move their vehicle to the MANY other open parking spots.
Nice hotel , very clean , also the staff is very friendly specially Fabian in the breakfast station , always cheerful and friendly towards everyone . The other lady that works in the omlet station is very rude . Fabian and the front lobby staff is the reason why I give this place 5 stars .
This hotel was spotless top to bottom. They also had extra amenities like an actual breakfast not just grab and go snacks as well as an awesome happy hour that included free drinks. That brings me to the main reason for the five star rating and that is the bartender Adriana was amazing. She had some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time. Not only towards me but I watched her help a group find a specific place to eat let them look at the menu on her phone and help them order. She really went above and beyond.
We stayed there for three days and everything was great except a few things. One, the cold water in the bathroom sink does not work, it barely trickles out. Also, the bath tub spigot was broke and you had to hold the spigot while lifting up on the knob that makes the water come out the shower head. Also, for such a nice room with two rooms, the showers should be walk in, not have a bath tub. Now I know why these room pictures on their web site does not show the shower area. Also, there were NO soda drinks in any of the machines on any floor. But I dealt with all of this because the breakfast every morning was AWESOME, and the afternoon/evening drinks were AWESOME too. The cooks and the bartenders deserve a lot of credit. We will stay here again when we are in town for sure but will find out if any of the negative items were fixed or modified first.
Reviewing On The Border Mexican Restaurant inside the Embassy Suites.First time visit. Excellent customer service. Food and dessert were fantastic. Chips and dip are provided once you order your drinks. I ordered a Chimichanga for dinner, which came with rice and beans, and Sopapillas for dessert. Probably some of the best food I have had here in the Valley. The Sopapillas come with chocolate and honey dipping sauces. The waitress had just gotten hired recently so she was learning, but she made sure we had everything that we needed and our drinks never got empty. She was the best. Highly recommend On The Border!
The service I received from this property makes me not only want to fill out a 5 star survey for it upon checkout but also is necessary of an additional review on Google. Joe and Violetta are a testament to the standard which Embassy Suites upholds. They worked closely with me in booking multiple rooms and helped me ensure my wife and I got the privacy we have been needing for a long time. Thank you Embassy Suites for raising and setting the bar, and thank you Joe and Violetta for being the face of that standard and providing stellar service.
The room was hot. The bathtub shower had hair in it and the breakfast was more like instant and like powder orange juice. Before breakfast was very fresh and homemade. I had stayed at an embassy in while and was looking forward to the stay but I and the family were very disappointed.
I only experienced the lobby of this hotel. I picked up a to go order from the On the Border Mexican Cantina in the lobby. It was a Wednesday night and happy hour was on and poppin. The loby decor is sleek and upscale with furniture arranged for mixin and minglin. The full length windows in this portion of the lobby allows for a ton of natural light in the area which adds to the upscale ambience. There are two bars in the lobby one within the lobby sitting area and the other bar across from the lobby sitting area belongs to On the Border Mexican Cantina. The On the Border Mexican Cantina has its own bar seating that is more intimate. The Cantina offers indoor & outdoor seating.I was in town on business staying at the DoubleTree Suites which has its own restaurant the serves Mexican fare but I can say On the Border Mexican Cantina has a wider variety of menu options and the food taste better in my opinion. The hotels are at most 15 minutes away from each other. It was a convenient straight shot down the freeway. I will be back again to eat definitely. If I get a choice on my trip I may stop in and stay a while.
Gorgeous property. First time ever staying at embassy suites and I was amazed. Rooms are so beautiful. Clean and very modern! The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The staff were lovely, especially Lizette, who responded to Msgs via the app. We were upgraded to a bigger suite being diamond members. Breakfast was lovely with a wide selection and the evening drinks were well organised. We will definitely stay here again when we’re next in McAllen.
Second time staying here...its very quiet so you can definitely get some well deserved rest 😁room was clean, comfy and cold...and the bathroom was super roomy I love it! Breakfast was pretty good, the cooks arereally nice. Happy hour was ok, the beers are usually better and have snacks at other locations, but (Im guessing) the most common beers down here are budlight and miller so that maybe why those are available...but Theyre free right so cant complain lolAll in all we will continue to stay here every time we come out to watch concerts.
These people must work here.. This hotel is horrible and the food is the worst. Just poor quality. Staff just on their own. They ran out of towels in the rooms and at the pool. I think guests were taking pool towels because the hotel was out. It just Didnt feel clean.
I highly recommend this Embassy Suites In McAllen TexasGreat price for connecting roomsVery clean and ModernStaff was welcoming and friendly from the time we arrivedGreat breakfastWe will stay at this location every time we travel through McAllen and I will recommend to my family, friends and colleagues.
The rokm/apartment floor design of this place will make you fell at home!! Great facility. I slept like a baby. Front desk clerk Christian was friendly, prompt, professional, and very helpful. Great stay. I slept like a baby too, which is not always the case when youre on the road year round!!
I did receive a poor customer service from Violet, Lizette and Carlos. I was assigned a room that had no signs of being sanitized. I was informed by the three individuals above that it was the new Hilton’s policy. There were several unoccupied rooms in the same hallway and I was not allowed to be relocated. I expressed my concern ame let them know that I felt unsafe. Per Hilton’s policy still noted on the Hilton Honora recording, all rooms are sanitized and a tag is placed on all the doors. Mine has none. Again, I didn’t feel safe. I asked them to cancel my reservation. Carlos indicated that no charges were supposed to be posted. No probe of this was presented to me. So, next I was told that I was going to be charged for the first night cene when I didn’t use the room. It took several attempts to have them void the charges. Last word is that they will void it. Will see…I really don’t recommend this hotel if you appreciate your safety and health.I moved to double three and it was night and day. Super nice and educated front desk. This will be my preferred hotel going forward.
The room and staff deserve 4 Stars everything was awesome. Love the robes, nice touch. Nice breakfast. However this is a non smoking hotel and someone had smoked A LOT. I think the cleaning staff was leaving the door open to air out the smoke. Unfortunate, as we were leaving and had to walk through a smoked filled hallway. While I cant blame the staff there needs to be a better way to not exposeGuests. The only other issue was the hallway was ice cold it made the long walk to our room miserable. We would come back for the room and nice staff.
Stayed here during my trip to attend a party. This is a very different looking Embassy Suites. It’s very contemporary, clean and has an awesome lobby. Location is A+ ! Rooms are spacious and nice. Great drink and snack selections for the happy hour reception. They also had a live band in their spacious patio on Friday night. Awesome continental breakfast with made to order omelette. Highly recommended and will come back again.
Loved staying here! I was here for extended business and I had a corner room in the top floor. The room had high ceilings, big windows, and central air conditioning. The walls werent thin and the windows drowned out the weekly Friday night Salsa party that was always held on the patio every week. The room itself was very well appointed and I had room to spread out and unwind. The restaurant downstairs was pretty good! I ordered a club sandwich and onion rings and received enough food to feed an army! Great service and food value. The lobby is very welcoming and was really a great place to sit and convene with friends. Hotel staff was always on point. Iany issues I had were immediately addressed. Id definitely stay here if I come back to the Valley.
I was very impressed by Embassy Suites during my stay. The staff was very helpful, everything was clean, the room was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast was an impressive spread of both freshly hot entrees and premade pastries/bagels etc. to grab and go. The bar had the happiest happy hour you could ever ask for, FREE DRINKS. I was in town for work, but my outstanding stay made me want to come back to McAllen to visit.
Nice new building. Happy hour snacks and beers available sub par compared to other embassy suites. Nothing great here.Update: found bath robe with stain on belt. It was actually sh*t after smelling. Called front desk they said they would send up new one. Never got it. Maids never cleaned room on non checkout days. I had to ask them after 5pm when I saw them in the halls. This was the worst embassy experience as a gold honors member this property was a huge let down.
I checked into the Embassy Suites last weekend which was a nice property. I waited a bit as i checked in but finally someone arrived and checked me in. The room was good and breakfast was good as well. I knew i would possibly be late checking out so i let the front desk agent know i would possibly be leaving later the 6pm and what would the rate be. She said the latest she could give me would be 2pm and I said ok. I left a 2pm and was still charged a late fee. I have managed hotels for over 10years and have never been charged for a courtesy late check out. I tried calling the hotel to resolve this miss understanding and after several attempts of someone finally picking up the phone and calling back and forth they still charged me a late checkout fee. Out of all the cities I have been to the valley has been extremely unaccommodating when it comes to customer service. I would not stay here again. Be aware of the terrible customer service.
This hotel is good but not up to the standards of most Embassy suites . For example the breakfast is reduced as well as the quality. The staff is for the most part friendly but some of the staff become frustrated if you ask for more than they want to do. Overall the hotel is okay, but needs to improve its standard of service.
Love this place!! I keep coming to this hotel. It is my favorite. They have ready-to-make breakfast, complimentary drinks and snacks, and an excellent restaurant inside. The rooms are quite beautiful especially at night when you have your shades open. Definitely recommending this place!!
This is a great choice while traveling to the RGV. I have stayed here several times and it’s always clean and comfortable. It seems a bit more upscale than other, older hotels in the Valley and I particularly like the location since it’s very walkable. A special thanks to Crystal one of the managers here who recently helped me with a billing issue that was totally my fault. She went out of her way to provide assistance.
This was our first visit at this hotel and trust when I tell you we will return. The suite was perfect, everything so clean and fresh. The staff was unbelievable, they were so sweet. We loved the great complimentary breakfast and the complimentary happy hour. The drinks were perfect. We will see you soon.
The hotel was very clean in every aspect except forThe fact we found a syringe left on the floor next to the wall near the desk in the bedroom. We told the front desk & they apologized. I know housekeeping has alot of rooms to clean but that’s pretty disgusting! The breakfast was delicious and the beds were comfy!
The embassy suites was a fantastic experience. The hotel is very nice and modern. The rooms were clean, well kept and spacious, inluding a large desk/table. The breakfast that was included was really good and included made to order options. There was plenty of convenient parking. Overall it was a great experience and for a great price.
Me and my family had about a week long stay, my husbands truck was getting some updates and we were stuck without a car due to car rentals not being available to us, and everyone there was so helpful and sweet, the shuttle and drivers were absolutely great and accommodating to us all! Breakfast was great, there was one young rude boy working the late afternoon shift that was a little rude to my son when he fell after them not putting a wet floor sign, but other than that, would most definitely book there again when in the valley!
First time staying at the embassy hotel and I have to stay one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at so far. They have live music and an awesome indoor and outdoor bar. Bartenders are friendly. My wife had a cucumber martini & she loved it. I believe The bartenders name was Jocelyn. Also my compliments to the chef. In walking distance from restaurants/stores 👍👍👍
I would definitely recommend staying here. The hotel lobby is absolutely beautiful. The lobby had a bar and a Starbucks. There is a wonderful outside area where you can sit and relax or eat. The hotel also had a restaurant. I only ate breakfast there but the breakfast was delicious and had lots of options. room was beautiful and clean. The bed was super comfortable and had soft pillows and sheets. The bathroom was clean and big, with a nice shower in it. Overall the room and hotel were wonderful.
Walked in to a spectacular hotel with the best and fastest check in. Noe settled us into our room, offered us complimentary popcorn and then followed up with a text message to see how our room was and if we needed anything.Beautiful room with a specious restroom and lots of mirrors. The living area was roomy and very chic. Unfortunately we never used it. Hotel has a bar, restaurant, and a Starbucks not to mention an amazing breakfast.
I had reserved a room with 2 queen beds weeks before our arrival. We drive in from San Antonio about 10 PM and when we check-in we were told that there were no rooms with 2 queen beds because they had given them all away to a large group. What was frustrating was the attendant seemed not to care whatsoever. We slept it off with terrible pillows. In the morning I spoke with a supervisor and she gave us a 40% discount and I appreciated her doing this as this was the only bright spot of the stay. I would have to say service was bad, breakfast was not very good and pillows were terrible. I will never stay there again. Fortunately, we don’t stay over night in McAllen very often, but the next time I will go AirBNB.
The hotel was really nice. I love that they have free drinks and snacks between 530 and 730 pm. It would have been 5 stars except when I sat on a couch in the lobby I felt something wet underneath me. Another guest had peed on the couch and the staff left it there without putting down a sign.
My husband and I stayed last night 1/19/19. The room was great but our sheets had a big nasty stain on them It was late so we didnt request a new room we just took off that sheet. I took a picture of it and showed the young lady at checkout. Nothing was done to address our I inconvenience. I have the picture saved on my phone.
Had the pleasure of staying here for a month due to work! I cannot thank the staff enough for welcoming us and keeping us feeling welcome and comfortable this entire time! Breakfast here is delicious! And the chief who makes the breakfast is extremely nice and welcoming every morning! Would totally recommend this place to anyone!
**NOT SAFE!!!!***This past weekend my husband and I stayed at the Embassy Suites near the Convention Center in McAllen for a relaxing night. While I was getting ready for dinner, my husband noticed the remote wasn’t working so he called the front desk to replace the remote. The front desk staff was nice and delivered the remote to the room within 20 minutes. After dinner, we returned to the room to relax. Before we fell asleep, my husband got out of bed to ensure that the do not disturb sign was on the door and that both locks on the door were locked. At 1:32am we woke up to hearing someone at the door and within seconds, a man walks into our room. My husband quickly got out of bed and yelled “HEY!!!” and the man left and slammed the door behind him. My husband went to the door and noticed the maintenance man at the end of the hallway. I quickly called the front desk and they stated that “their system was down” and it showed that the room was vacant and they allowed the maintenance man into our room “to do maintenance”. However, this doesn’t make any sense as they knew the room was occupied as we had requested someone to replace the remote, we had a do not disturb sign on the door, had locked the hotel lock and the deadbolt, yet, the maintenance man still managed to get into our room. Our relaxing night quickly turned into a very traumatizing night. I am unsure what their intentions were and what would have happened if I was alone in the room. A similar situation has happened at an Embassy Suites in another state where the maintenance man also disabled the latch to a woman’s room in the middle of the night. I hope this event is further investigated and that this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
Nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and super clean. Staff is wonderful and speak in Spanish. The breakfast makes you feel you are in Mexico. It also has American breakfast. Everything is delicious. The hotel is walking distance from the convention center. Many restaurants to drive to or even make a drive. Good location close to shopping, dining, airport and main highway.
We stayed May 9-10 I book the night before online. But called after to be sure it was still good no one answered called ( 3 times ) at arrival did electric we were able to check in the early, we were pleased , until we saw that no snacks ( upgrade the room so we can have some for our kids ) we ask and they said because of the virus they were not doing it, but they had lil snack Bags for afternoon gathering?, next day we were surprised that at 3 pm our room wasn’t cleaned , no coffee/ tea when asked they said we had to request it ( again No ONE TOLD US ,INFORM US OR LEAVE A NOTE AT ROOM OR RECEIVE ANY EMAIL ABOUT ITSome of the personal were good other breakfast morning it was a chaotic only one person cooking and doing everything ( he was doing his best) we had to go out after waiting for like 30 minutes or more next day we didn’t bother to go to breakfastTotally not what we are used to or we were expecting
I stayed at this hotel for about a month. Overall it was a great place to call home for a month. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of room to not feel crammed. The small kitchenette was nice and had plenty of room. The bathroom was also huge. They had FREE happy hour every day with small snacks. It wasnt the greatest liquor, but it was FREE! The bartenders were super sweet! On Friday nights the hotel had music and dancing outside. I only went once, but it was a lot of fun. It was packed! The free breakfast is one of the best I have experienced at a hotel. They have a ton of options and an omelette station..There was always plenty of parking outside. They also have a shuttle which will go anywhere within a 5 mile radius. The hotel itself is located within close walking distance of a ton of restaurants. They have a gym which was decent as far as hotels go. Unfortunately one of the ellipticals was temporarily out of service for a month which was frustrating. They also have laundry machines. Used them a few times, and didnt have to wait too long.Overall, impressed with my stay.
This is our go to hotel for our annual visit to the Basilica de San Juan. The location is ideal with its proximity to the highway and not to mention a shopping center directly behind the hotel with numerous restaurants also. The convention center is always beautifully decorated for Christmas and even had a small train for kids to ride. The actual hotel is lovely. The rooms are so spacious and the beds are so comfortable. They even have a complimentary breakfast buffet that is really good. We have never been disappointed and will continue to stay here.
Besides Hyatt, Embassy is my 2nd choice of stay always! This Embassy Suites was phenomenal! From check in to my room, to dinner to breakfast- just a great experience. Particularly, the young lady Rory who works in the restaurant, she was such a delight. Just wonderfully kind, helpful and happy to be doing what shes doing. She went out of her way to make sure that my order was what I wanted. What a gem! The young lady who checked me.in was also fantastic. For the first time someone asked me FIRST if I was a rewards member; I didnt have to remind her! Great job!
I have stayed at many Embassy Suites and this is the worst I have experienced. They cocktail hour is cheap white or red wine, undrinkable, the snacks consist of Chex mix , cheese cube, and celery or carrots. I must say the breakfast is good and the morning staff and chefs are wonderful. The dinner, we ate there 3 times, was cold, and was not good, service even worse. House keeping a joke, came back to room at 4:20, not cleaned, explained to manager I have dinner at 6 and need to shower, dress, he said they start at the top of the hotel and work down, I ‘m on the top floor! Embassy Suite was one of my picks when traveling, not anymore.
Rooms are really nice but the food leaves much to be desired. When ordering drinks from the bar make sure you pay attention, as you will get the cheap stuff even if you pay for the premium stuff. The bartender will just use the cheap stuff and she will say the menu is outdated.
A most excellent hotel. Common areas and rooms were kept immaculate and clean, staff was efficient, friendly and professional. The restaurant was very good, the Dream Burger was the tastiest burger I have had in a long time, simple, no frills burger, but very good...
The overall experience is very inviting and friendly, the staff are very helpful and smiled at me upon any interaction. The services were very quick and efficient as well as the overall running of the place. The common area is beyond inviting and the aura makes me want to visit agaij the next time I need to book my hotel. Great experience!
Life is too short to stay at Home 🏡. I just found out that 55 percentage of people prefer not to go to church because of the pandemic of coronavirus. Until the Virus is completely gone theyre going back to church. Today we United two Churches together as one with God.😍😘👍👏🔥In Gods house this beautiful Gloriaous Morning!!!!...💪🙏🔥🌈
I have been at the Embassy attending a training so what I can talk about is the meeting rooms and the staff service that was just excellent.Meeting Rooms were so clean and the same as for the facilities, staff service was all the time there for any need. And the food and amenities just excellent since the breakfast to the last snack by the end of the day. So if youre planning a training event or conference consider the Embassy.
Clean and inviting lounging area with light music. Room was clean, cool and filled with snacks. The pool is a decent size but coukd of used a good cleaning to remove the msny bugs. I was glad there was a hot tub but when I saw kids eating pizza in it i opted out. I was glad there were towels available when I returned to my room. Happy hour is good and makes you feel appreciated. The drinks are cheap but I treated myself to a pina colada. The first bartender was attentive and made it perfect, but my second fell flat when another bartender took her place. It didnt even have that pink stuff in it which made it soo good and she put waaay too much coconut. She didnt get it right the both times I asked so I drank it anyway since I paid for it. The restaurant inside wasnt that good either so I recommend just going out to a nearby restaurant.
This hotel is EXCELLENT! The Hotel itself is beautiful but the STAFF and Their CUSTOMER SERVICE is what makes it SUPERIOR!!We recently had a small event of about 35 people and Yulissa, the event coordinator could not have done a better job! Carlos, also went above and beyond in helping to transform the event rooms ... Armando was our server and I can’t say enough about how well he took care of us ! Thank you , thank you, thank you Embassy Suites !!!My daughter’s birthday was incredible!
One of the best places to stay in the valley. It’s location right next to the new convention center and all the new shops is perfect, not to mention all the entertainment available in the lobby. Oh don’t forget the free drinks available to guests from 5:00 to 7:00 to help you relax after a workday.
Havent been to McAllen in years but so glad to see this new Embassy up and running and in a wonderfully convenient area of the Convention Center. The former Embassy Suites was bigger but just got to be too old and dated.I walked into my room and was VERY happy with how spacious and clean and nice everything was. I had an issue with the hanging rod in the closet, but I told the front desk and they got maintenance to fix it before I got back from a meeting. The bed was quite comfortable, had five pillows and the A/C worked beautifully at the end of summer and with McAllens oh-so-wonderful humidity. The light into the room with the light-colored decor made the room seem so bright and welcoming. The free breakfast is very nice (Id like to see less carbs but eggs and bacon and fruit will do), the happy hour they have from 5:30-7:30 is pretty sweet, and the gym and pool are both well kept and helpful!I was really, really satisfied with my stay and will definitely come back the next time I come to the area (for work or pleasure).
Never stayed at this new location, but we went for their Thanksgiving buffet. Overall, the meal was disappointing. My wife could not get dark meat. Whats up with that? Food wasnt hot. I suspect that everything was cooked the night before. Probably could have had a better Thanksgiving meal at Cracker Barrel, and it wouldnt have been $30 each.
This is a beautiful hotel. Unlike the past standard model, this is very stylish and more comfortable. From the lobby to the room I felt like I was in a high end hilton...with very reasonable embassy prices. I could see myself staying at one of these long term if I ever needed.
A newer hotel in McAllen near some great restaurants and shopping..The hotel has great amenities and spacious suites. Great staff to help answer your questions and love the on site Starbucks cafe and restaurant for breakfast. Lounge was busy with tvs tuned to the world series. Business Center off from the lounge and cute patio where complimentary beverages with snacks provided. Stay here.. you wont be disappointed.
The best experience in McAllen ! From the time you step into the lobby to the special events on Fridays, everything is splendid. The staff cares about the guests and always go above and beyond, Jacob the GM embodies good leadership and soft skills. Marie is the true standout at the front desk.
I live in hotels 3 weeks of every month, all across the nation. Ive found no flaws here! Every aspect is beautiful from the rooms, the common areas, complimentary evening appetizer socials, breakfast with made to order omlets, and last but certainly not least is the friendly, eager to please staff. I wish I had more work in the area to return again!
Two disappointing business stays at this flag ship embassy. 1. The flow of my room was terrible, but worst of all the fire alarm rang at 5am with a mandatory evacuation. No firemen showed up (false alarm).and no apology. 2. At the bar 9:45pm The server told my boss he could only have beer she would not open a bottle of wine. 10:10pm a female patron requested wine, the server popped open bottle of wine for her. We complained and she still did not comply. No manager was on site. We travel there for work often and will not stay at that hotel anymore.
If I could give this place zero starts I would the water was off for over 9 hours throughout Hotel they did nothing to notify us their guests. All they did was kept giving us the run around. I mean come on no water for shower 🚿 flushing toilet 🚽 or washing hands ?. Management has a serious issue and should have been more communicative to guests letting them know the real situation so they can make alternate plans if they wanted to. Like checking out and going to another property since this was an isolated issue. What’s worse is that they continued to let people check in and not tell them about this issue. Totally disgraceful for a Hilton property. Some compensation better be made not a free drink coupon. Even after the fact the management should have made effort to apologize with a letter or some type of communication they have done nothing at all.
Im very disappointed with the entertainment on Fridays now. Grupo sazón always packs them in. Its a different crowd rude and just bad vibes when grupo ache plays.Food has gone down a bit. Servers take too long to attend you. Waited an hour to get a refill on my drink.
Great place to say if you are in the south RGV area. Request 4th floor (premium floor). Woodfire pizzas are great. Fun live music on weekends. Free breakfast buffet makes up for the little extra you might pay compared to other hotels in the area. New, clean, friendly!
We booked this hotel one day before we wanna stay. And one day later when we arrived in the middle of the night. They told us that they are overbooked. That we need to stay at they sister hotel. What has not the same standards as the one we booked. On top of that the stuff was super unfriendly! Don’t stay with them!
Worst embassy I have ever been to service and comfort wise. Cleanest and nicest I have ever seen. Rooms are much smaller than most embassy suites. This location has terrible parking. I was told to park across the street (as a hotel guest) until the bar closed and the parking in front of the hotel opened up. Also on Friday night the band played on the patio until 11pm. Very loud even on the 4th floor. Then Saturday night there was a wedding reception in the ballroom. I could hear the music bass and feel it in our room over the tv. When I called down to complain at 11pm the front desk said to be patient as it would end at midnight. Nice, considering I had to wake up at 5am. We could actually hear the guy in the room next door snoring and I do not have good hearing. I wasted 74,000 hilton points to stay here 2 nights. When i left feedback on the hilton app that night, I got an email at 3am saying that they had contacted me and resolved the problem. They did not. Several days later I got 30,000 points back after raising hell up the hilton customer service chain but I still got shorted a few thousand points. If you want to party, this is the place for you. If you want a comfortable, quiet stay, go somewhere else. The embassy suites satisfaction guarantee doesnt mean much anymore apparently.
I’m currently staying at Embassy Suites and the service is very bad i reserved the Premium Suite and it was suppose to come with liquor and beverages in the room and snacks but when i got here the room was empty with no items and went to the bar for happy hour and was charged for my drinks and it was suppose to come included in the package and also was included the dinner and breakfast but seems that i have to pay for dinner this is very unacceptable i don’t recommend anyone to stay here any more it’s a waste of time and money hope you all read my review and take into consideration my opinion and dont stay nor book here anymore it’s ridiculizó su and unacceptable thank you very much
Booked the hotel on 11/17/17 with conformation number Under my wifes name Samira ali and when we got there 3:30am middle of the night all the way from houston, the guy at the front desk said he could not checked us in because his excuse was that the computer is not working or so called changing shifts and he said i have to wait two more hours. Really? So with my daughter and my wife we were really tired wanted to rest but this fool could not give me the door key. Who does that? what kind of business are they running? I was shocked to hear this from this 4 star hotel. We had to book another hotel and get refund from these losers. I even came back in morning to tell the manager of this hotel but she just listened and she did not get back with me or took any actions. I told this story to another hotel. They were surprise and laughing at this matter. I always liked this hotel and now they lost my business forever. Thank you for not taking care of your guests.
Nice hotel but the management treats employees horrible. I saw an employee get fired infront of all the guest because he didnt smile. I am sorry but that employee wasnt being rude and maybe he was sad due to something else and now he is feeling worse now cause he is fired. I will not be going back to this place if they treat their staff like that no matter how nice the place is.

2022-04-12This is my 3rd time staying here and overall have enjoyed it very much. The breakfast is always amazing. Although could do a better job at ensuring tables are cleaned. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is the parking. Every single time I have stayed here, there is only one entrance and exit. All other areas are blocked off by a metal fencing barrier. It is extremely annoying having to drive around trying to find the entrance. Which is always at the back of the hotel and not at the front. I know it also isn’t a thing they only do at night because we arrived for check in 3pm and all areas were blocked off except an area in the back of the hotel. I don’t know if they have a towing policy in place, but I assume they do this in order to prevent people, who are not guests, from parking there. However, it is such an inconvenience for your guests. If that is the case, why not implement a parking policy where guest are given a paper to put on the dash and others can be towed. I don’t understand why else the entrances would be blocked off. Also seems like a safety risk if there were to be an emergency! Overall my stays are always great and quiet. This is the only issue.

2022-06-13Beautiful Building, kind & accommodating people. Breakfast was great tasting & they had a large selection 😋. The rooms were very well kept. The location was a bit difficult do get to but Once I got through the crazy Parking Lots it got easier! Also the ☕️ shop was closed...uuhg! Anyway I hope you enjoy your stay as well as I did!

2022-03-07Positive: Front desk staff Thalia was very nice. She greeted us the days she worked and was very helpful when we asked for information. The atmosphere and cleanliness was very inviting. Negative: The only negative was parking....so many open spots for charging up Teslas and not enough parking for regular cars

2022-06-15Bed bugs! They do not clean this hotel, I stayed there the first weekend in June. The counter tops of our rooms were not clean and there were bed bugs. I was so disgusted as soon as we saw them we left. I reported it and showed my bed bug bite on my arm. I do not recommend This place until the clean these rooms up to standard. Bed bugs can cause major issues and an infestation if not taken proper steps. Housekeeping is not cleaning the rooms. I filed the report and still waiting to here from management. I do not have confidence that they followed up and disinfected this room from bed bugs and the other rooms on the floor.

2022-04-28Hands down the nicest hotel in McAllen. Having stayed in most all of them, this one is a class apart! Plush, clean rooms with plenty of space and some nice amenities like an in-house Starbucks, good fitness equipment and a cool new bar with Mexican food!

2022-03-22I am writing this review as I lay here in their bed in Room 329. This hotel has gone downhill from last year as far as customer service. My room never was cleaned while I was out and that means no clean towels. My son went to the front desk and asked for clean towels and was told they’d be brought to the room and never were. I called and was told the same thing and nothing after an hour they were finally brought to us. The pillows need to be trashed they are not even shaped like pillows. The guests above me made noise all night long for the 2 nights I stayed there. I called the front desk to complain and was told they would say or do something about it and never did. I will never stay here again. I paid way to much for horrible service!!!
