I deploy often, do not see my statements. They started to take away $29.00 from my checking. When I joined I got the overdraft protection, they did away with it. According to them they notified me. This month they took away $116.00 my savings has plenty to cover the overdraft. Evolve goodbye will close my account.
Man, that sucks that Evolve has so many bad reviews on here. For my personal experience, I have had nothing but awesome customer service, I have had Business Accounts, Personal, I also have Auto Loans with this bank. I love it, Thank you for giving awesome rates. For everyone wary of this bank I say give it a Go. I have no issues with them, Yes that online bank thing is weird as heck, BUT I usually use the drive thru.
Simply very bad customer service. Because their system didnt account for closing an account via bank transfer I was charged a $27 insufficient funds fee. To get my own money!!!!!! I did not overdraw anything. The manager refused to dismiss the fees, telling me to ask the bank who withdrew it to compensate me for the fees. Really? They did exactly what I asked them to do. If they are so unwilling to solve a small problem like this and absorb $27, I wonder what would happen with a larger problem. Beware!!!
I had a car loan which I have always pay on time. Ive been out of twn for an entire month and called to make my final payment. First they charged me 2% fee and then advised me that I had a negative balance on my savings account which I only opened for the car loan because of the new $9 monthly charge. I hate how banks are always assessing fees and when I ask for justification the only response was well its just our new policy.
Ive been with evolve (formerly El Paso employees) for over 20 years. I was ok with the new implementation of electronic services, I hardly go to a teller anyway. But they closed my branch along with the ATM to do deposits and withdrawals and so now I either have to get down inside a WALGREENS or travel farther to another branch in order to do a deposit. This is the first time Ive ever considered moving banks. Very unfortunate. Not happy at all. Moving to GECU, at least they opened a new branch nearby.
Evolve FCU has joined the nickle and dime club in an extraordinary way. I made all payments for my loan electronically and on time. After returning from deployment, I did a routine check on my loan account and discovered a negative balance in my savings account (which they force you to open to obtain a loan). After calling the bank, I was told literature was sent out some time ago regarding membership levels and if I didnt have more than $5k of products from them or in my savings, Im at basic level which entitles me to a $9 monthly fee IN ADDITION TO the interest on my loan. They, effectively, doubled the interest charge on my loan! I had enough money to pay off the loan in full and did so; I also closed out my savings account. I would NEVER recommend this bank to anyone. Ineffecient, stone-age technology, and desperate for income.
This Credit Union should be investigated by the Attorney Generals Office this is a SHADY CREDIT UNION. The mistakes they make are unforgivable. They have the attitude of Do as we say but dont do as we do. They stopped doing shared branching which I think is just the first sign of going out of business. They have plans to close many of there locations, with that being said there are on there way out and are on there last leg! There management is Sad and and is a disappointment! from: Marten the supervisor to IVAN TORRES Manager to his Boss Ismael Mendiola and David Martinez his boss and finally Ken walters CEO these people should all be ashamed of themselves for the HORRIBLE SERVICE they give there members. I was charged a fee for $29.00 twice for something out of my control I talked to Ivan Torres and he said NO I will not waive the fee even though I explained the problem to him, he responded back and said you gave your account number I dont care if its your fault or not. If your SMART you will run from these people as fast as you can. PLEASE BEWARE!
What a joke. They charge you for everything. As of 4/1/2015, they implemented a bunch of bs charges, removed all tellers, and if you want to do any face to face transaction you will be charged. You get charged a $9.00 fee for having an account. Thats $108 a year in just fees, WHAT?!?!?!?! Stay away. I will tell every one I know, I will contact consumer watchdogs, I will file complaints, I will do everything in my power to stop this abuse! WOW! I have never in my life heard of such blatant abuse of the customer.
Worst service ever, they never tell you anything regarding fee charges or transaction charges, they never told me I needed to have $15 dollars on my account, when I got my statement on the mail they charged $1 or $1.50 so I no longer had the $15 balance, first of all they never told me I was going to get charged for the statement, which could have been resolved sending an email stating all this hidden fees, I went to the downtown location and found out about this, I made the payment on my car loan plus the fee to have the $15 balance again, next month I made my loan payment 10 days earlier... guess what? I received a call from a lady saying I was past due on my account, I went to the downtown location again and they told me because I made it so early they didnt count it as a payment for that month but as an extra payment! The young lady that helped me told me that she couldnt do anything about it and that I will have to pay, which I did to avoid a late charge fee or something negative in my credit, the lady that called me saying that I wast past due was rude and demanded me to call her back which I did and I just wanted to complain about the bad service evolve is having, but the lady was away from her desk, too bad for evolve, I already have an appointment at another bank to transfer my loan.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM TELLERS!! Never go to the downtown branch, the tellers are always in a bad mood, they do not take coins, and will not accept old - wrinkled US currency bills. The bank tellers (females) seem to be menopausal. Also they love to put checks on hold for several days. They do not like cashing checks even those coming from their own customers-bank. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM TELLERS!!
Ive been with this bank for 8 yrs. I am switching to a different credit union because of the ridiculous fees that have been implemented the past 2 yrs.Not talking about overdraft fees. They charge you for using a teller & charge you if you dont use their debit card certain amount of times a month.
I was with them when they were a Paso employees my God I never thought I would miss them so much these people need help management help badly! Its just by pure dumb luck that theyre still in business they would be better off if everybody left the bank and lock the doors and turned it into an internet business.
Very bad service ! The service support center does not assist members correctly, requested to speak supervisor stated no one was available I advise rep that will hold on the line and stated no that he can not have me on the line and he has to drop the call, because unable no one else I can talk to.

2022-06-06Lured in with good interest rates and after paying for years, I begin to get charged $9.00 a month to have an account??? As you can see on the reviews here they dont even care. Not one response to the reviews. Dont refinance at evolve! Beware of HIDDEN FEES.

2022-04-12This place is horrible. Customer service is terrible. I refinanced my vehicle and everything was great until after I signed. Their payment method is just ridiculous, you have to jump through hoops for something so simple. Whatever you do, DO NOT go here!! It isn’t worth the headache.

2021-03-30If I can give zero I would, people please beware of this bank they do not back you up when it comes to fraudulent charges, I was hacked and my information was stolen, someone made purchases using my credit card and I filed a dispute just to hear from them the next day that it was denied, they weren’t willing to investigate the charges. After banking with Evolve for many years I will go to a different bank, so sad that they don’t care about their customers situations. If you are thinking about opening an account with this bank please think twice before making that decision with online/cyber thieves it’s best to go to a bank that backs you up and protect your hard earned money.

2018-01-05Great Credit Union, never had an issue with them. Have 3 vehicles financed with them at incredibly low rates. Auto draft from my account bi-weekly with no issues. Very few credit unions and/or banks do this anymore. Been with Evolve for 5 years now and everything has been hassle free.

2020-06-23I have gotten my card compromised 8 times and the credit union refuses to tell you where it keeps getting compromised. They just issue another card so you are struck changing accounts to the new card after waiting two weeks. They seem indifferent and could care less how you are inconvenienced. They used to be very responsive but now they lie and are not helpful. The employees that work at the call center especially very deceitful.

2019-02-27Ive never had any problems with Evolve over the 10 years Ive been a member. I have several accounts and a mortgage with very low fees. The profit sharing dividends they do at the end of the year for members is a better rate than any interest baring account at almost every bank.

2020-01-13Been a member since 1995. At first they had really great service but in the last couple of years they have went downhill. I get the feeling that they are trying to avoid closure and are doing everything to prevent that by cutting the majority of their services. Almost to the point that the credit union is virtually non existent. The lobby is only open twice a month for transactions. It is basically become a drive-through banking institution. And yes, they are no longer open on Saturdays anymore.

2018-06-26This is by far the worst financial institution I have ever had to deal with. Their policies on protecting personal information are a joke! They would rather you mail a check (which is completely insecure) then wire them money (which they charge you a convenience fee and cap the amount). They require that I send them a photocopy of my identification in the mail. Again, their concern for protecting peoples information is nonexistent. If you have a choice, DO NOT USE Evolve Federal Credit Union.

2016-02-04Evolve C.U. not only has the WORST customer service of Banking & Loans but of any business in El Paso! When a customer walks into one of their satellite lobbies it is completely empty! The teller windows are not manned, they are closed! Customers are asked to get back in their car and proceed to the drive-thru window to conduct their transaction.They now charge $9/month to have a savings & checking account AND when a customer walks into the lobby it is completely empty! The tellers and not manned at all and customers are asked to get back in their cars and proceed to the Drive-Thru teller window to conduct their transaction!They have refused to allow customers to withdraw more than $1000 a day, of the customers OWN money, due to apparently not ordering enough money as cash for the day!The e-banking website is horrendous! Hardly works correctly, is at times shut down without explanation. I can go on, and on, and on...simply do NOT do business at Evolve C.U.!Rated them a One Star due to not being able to publish this rating without selecting the number of starts or else would have rated them ZERO Stars!

2015-08-17Ive been with them for 8 years or so. I became a member back when it was El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union. The recent changes they made are the last straw. If your a person who still likes to do business with your bank in person then i do not recommend this bank. They will charge you fees for visiting the branch or drive thru tellers, unless you have 5000 or more in the bank at all times.
