Extended Stay America - Austin - NorthwestArboretum in other cities:
This hotel was awful. My two biggest complaints were the giant roaches and the fact that the water heater was broken for the building for the end of my stay. But even if there were no roaches and we had any hot water, I still wouldnt want to stay here again. The carpet was disgusting, the lamp was unplugged and I couldnt find an outlet for it. The phone didnt work. The work table was falling apart. The furniture was worn. The room smelled musty. The tub was so clogged that I had to stand in my used shower water during my shower.I told management about the tub being clogged in the morning and they said theyd fix it. They didnt. Not that it mattered because there was no hot water. I stood in the shower for 5 minutes in the pool of cold water that wouldnt drain while I waited for the hot water that would never arrive. When I complained that I couldnt take a shower after a hot and dusty day at the race track nor could I the next day, the front clerk told me there was nothing they could or would do for me. She didnt have the authority. She said shed ask her manager to call me but, of course, they never did.The hotel is old and dingy. The bathroom was so tiny that I had a hard time finding a place to stand when closing the door. The shower had rust stain on it.In short, avoid this hotel unless its the only place available. The only reason I gave it two stars rather than one is because of the affordable price.
This hotel is not like the one in the pictures. Stay away!! Carpet in room was extremely dirty. Room smelled like a strong paint thinner. Restroom was horrible. The tub was very dirty and old, needs to be replaced not cleaned. Lots of trash behind the dresser. TV did not work. Had a reservation for 2 nights left after the first and will never return!!
Terrible, would not recommend. Mildewy moldy smelling, sticky dirty carpet. No coffee pot in the room, front desk said you have to check them out, but they didn’t have any. “Kitchenette” area includes nothing, there are no plates, cups, silverware, etc. you also have to check these out from the front desk, if they have them. 2nd night we got back, no hot water, called in the morning and they verified it was out for the entire building and didn’t know when it would be fixed. One of the keys didn’t work, then the 2nd key stopped working. I gave two stars because the front desk staff did seem nice and the bed want as uncomfortable as expected
Positive: There was nothing about this hotel that I liked. We cancelled our stay after 2 nights because the boiler went out and the hotel could not provide an ETA for repairs Negative: The hotel was overbooked and my room was not available. My alternate room was dirty and smelled like mildew. The bathroom floor was dirty and the carpet was stained and had visable stains and was soiled. Both chairs in my room were soiled with food crusts
I don’t ever write reviews but this could not go by unnoticed. Me and my family of 4 stayed here through the week while my husband worked and we couldn’t even stay in the room during the day because it was so bad. When we arrived the room wasn’t ready. Even after 4pm, the receptionist had to hurry and make sure it was. (She was very nice!)The room says non-smoking but it was almost cloudy from the smoke/smell. Also, the countertops and desk were all sticky and gummy from previous customer. I had to buy cleaning products to clean the room myself. Day 2 of our 4 night stay and there is NO HOT WATER!! None! I had to boil water on the stove to give my children a bath.I know this is not a “top of the line” hotel and we paid a fair price— but we had to leave and go to another hotel.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, IT WAS 1:45 AM, and I just needed somewhere to rest for a few hours, long story short.. ended up sleeping in my car!! I had to shout very loudly to get front desk up and help me(She was sleeping)!!!! I had already made the reservation online and even got a confirmation email in return. When I told her that she said No, we aint got no rooms! She didnt apologize about it nor did she tell how I could cancel the reservation. I was also more then happy to not have stayed there, didnt look very clean, the ceiling tiles were all pulled off therefore everything was exposed and looked dangerous!!!!Very unhappy and upset how things turned out!!!!!!!!
They were having their lobby worked on but they didnt do it at ungodly hours and the renovators that were doing all the work were very polite and courteous when we needed to check out. One of them even hollered for the front desk person for me lol. The room was clean and perfect.
On Saturday June 19, 2021 at approximately 5pm I called the front desk and requested a late check out. The clerk on duty said I could get up until 1pm and wouldn’t be charged. I asked because I used to work at a hotel and made sure we wouldn’t be charged. The next morning at around 8am I am awaken by a knock on the door. I didn’t answer because I was sure they had the wrong room. About an hour later I get a call from the front desk asking when we planned on checking out. I told her we had a late check out for 1pm that we requested the day before and she said ok. Two hours later at 11am we get another call from the Assistant manager Donice who very rudely told us that our late checkout request could not be honored and we had to be out at 11:30a. I told her we had two children and a senior citizen and there was no way we could be out in 30 minutes, especially since everyone was still laying in bed because we thought we had until 1pm. Again, she rudely said and I quote, “then I’m going to have to charge you then”...I explained again that the clerk told me I could check out late and it should not be our fault and she just continued to say I am going to charge you. I began getting upset because she was so rude, unapologetic and very unprofessional. She hung up in my face. At this time my sister called her back and pleased for the late checkout and she eventually agreed to give us a 12:30p checkout without charging us extra which we were thankful for. However at 12pm the housekeeper knocked on the door again asking us if we were leaving. My 70 year old mother was very upset because instead of enjoying our weekend road trip at a hotel we kept getting rushed to get out. I have never been treated so terribly at a hotel where we spent our hard earned money. We come to Austin from Houston frequently and all agreed that we would never come back to this poorly managed hotel.
I love them they are super clean and they have great customer service they also have visitors that are all working and taking care of business so little to no drama and no noise really not to mention great prices recommend to anyone trying to establish a standing and comfortable while doing so.
The office told the booking agency that theyre open 24 hours when theyre not. We showed up past office hours, and no one was there. We picked up the after hours check-in phone, and no one answered from the office, so it automatically transferred us to corporate. The agent from corporate basically said he would try calling the office again, but in reality he wanted to get rid of us by actually transferring us back to the office on a continuous ring that lasted over 5 minutes and yet NO ONE ANSWERED. Since obviously corporate didnt want to deal with us either, I called the booking agency, and they called the office to confirm that no one was available to check us in considering there was no one there to answer the phone. I was told by the booking agency I should not be charged any fees, yet the hotel had the audacity to charge us a cancellation/no-show fee.I will be disputing the charge with my bank.
Do not stay at Extended Stay America the violated my civil rights as a disabled person asking for help to my bags to my new room the old one had bed bugs in it. Management said they would call the police if I asked a third time for help with my very heavy bags to my new room. The police I called had to come down here and demand them help me as I am disabled. The manager even refuse to help me as I am disabled and needed help to my bags to a clean room. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Location is a plus, pricing was fair due to the kitchen and fridge, stove top. Unfortunately, you may possibly need roach spray I almost left, I haven’t seen roaches in a decade. But the room was just what I needed (walking distance from job site ). The first room-4th floor, I saw three roaches , the second room-2nd floor, I had no roaches. In staying there, I saw some sketchy looking people and heavy cigarette smokers, so you’ll smell cigarettes a lot. It’s Not horrible, but if your budget can afford better go elsewhere.
The Manger she is wonderful and welcoming. And she is on top of her business and has Full Control of the Place .I traveled a few weekend ago to pick my daughter up from Austin, stayed almost a week. This place was well suited to my needs - a clean comfortable room and very friendly staff. I highly recommend this Location
I feel like this hotel is a bit run down and makes you think they offer more than they do. Kitchen accessories were minimal and rusted. We didn’t even get any forks just spoons and only three spoons at that. No dish soap to wash anything. Price was nice but if you need the kitchen I would recommend going somewhere else.
We drove up to Austin and we had booked on booking.com and we went to the hotel they said they were all booked up . and they didnt understand why booking.com let us get a book a room. we didnt have a room there so last night we had to go look for another room. Sucked. They should have better customer service. I was Upset had to drive to New Braunfels to get a room.
Price was very good and their location was where I needed to be for the next morning, however, there was an issue with the hot water. Apparently, their water heater wasnt working and it affected the whole building. So, bathing was challenging. The front desk staff said it was being worked on and that it would be ready by morning. I dont know what their idea of morning was as I left at 9 a.m. and the hot water still wasnt working.... cold showers are not fun no matter where you are. At checkout there was no offer to accommodate for the lack of hot water. It was clean and location was superb for my needs that day. So if you have to be in one of the medical clinics and you choose this place, call ahead BEFORE you pay and make sure everything is working correctly
Worst hotel ever? I’m currently staying here. Tried to check in a few hours early, but they wanted 50 bucks so I had to nap in my car. When my 2 hours were up they gave me a room that was currently having the carpets cleaned. Carried my luggage back Down to the lobby to get a new room... was given a room with hard wood floors, a small TV and a smaller bed than I requested. My shower floods. Have not received a clean towel since arriving, and my room key has died 2x. No amenities. Nothing. I would be better off in a tent.
Is conveniently located, very clean and quiet. Staff were all very friendly. Plenty of parking available. The room came equipped with a little kitchenette, including full-sized refrigerator, sink, stove with two burners, and microwave). The rates were super competitive compared to regular hotel rooms in the area. Would absolutely be a guest of Extended Stays again!
The staff at this location is the absolute best.Management, Front Desk Associates, House keeping and Maintenance are all spectacular, friendly, skilled and helpful. I had a 3 month and 2 week stay and never had one problem. I recommend this location above all others Ive used in the past. 5 star service
15 minutes into my stay and I already have a foul taste in my mouth. The lobby flooded during the last snow storm and they are STILL trying to mitigate further damage by running multiple dehumidifiers all over the lobby. The storm was 2 weeks ago.THEN, they want to charge 18% tax on their $25/night pet fee!None of which were mentioned on their website.
Currently staying here as its where my company booked for me. The non smoking room smells like an ash tray. Room was dirty. Not super thrilled on night one. Night two was better, the staff are SUPER friendly and awesome. They got me fixed up in a new room since mine was such a disaster.
Dont let the photos fool you, this place looks like an active construction site, but its not. They have no AC so youll be greeted by a dozen industrial fans, that will keep you up all night. Manager is paranoid, as i was leaving this place she accused me of following her as she was also leaving. Theres only one way out of the lobby. Afterwards she got into her car parked in hendicap zone i doubt she qualifies for with her paranoia. She was very rude to me.
Last year I stayed here and my room was clean and acceptable. This trip has been different. The sheets need to be be shook out on the bed, there was some kind of debris in them that I initially mistook for bugs or droppings. There was dried food remains on table and counter surfaces. The dishes I was given at the desk were dirty. The sink in the bathroom is completely separated from the countertop, I dont know how someone managed that nor how the staff missed it. The floor was dirty. This is just a complete 180 from my experience last time.
My experience staying here so far has been great! My husband and I are in the process of relocating to Austin and I was hesitant to stay in a hotel for a couple months with our 2 dogs before we got a place. The staff here has been very pleasant, particularly the manager Keetla(hopefully spelled correctly). She has gone out of her way to be nice and engage in conversation as well as making sure we have everything we need. We had our microwave break and it was replaced the very next morning with a brand new one. Thank you Keetla and the rest of the staff here for making this a comfortable home before our next home!
A woman was sitting in a car outside the motel when i arrived and she ran out of the car yelling that you are not staying here. she freaked out on me. i already paid $57.02 with a discount they gave me for 25% off. I said why cant i stay here? She accused me of calling the woman that work there the N word, i have never seen this woman before, i have no idea who she was, i said to her, why would you say that? I said then give me back my money she took it off for awhile then in the morning 7 a.m. i checked my bank statement and she charged me the amount again. I called the extended stay number and she said she was the manager again (same woman) i said to her do you work 24 hours of the day? i told her that she was going to be punished for the way she is treating me.
I stayed with them recently and had a wonderful experience with their entire team. Its clear to me that this staff is led by someone with passion for customer satisfaction, who understands that the customer needs to be treated as such They will be my extended stay hotel of choice moving forward.
Good location, working air conditioning while ours is broken. Pet friendly for $25/night extra Wifi is decent. Otherwise, nothing special, feels dingy. Loose leg on the small dining table, things clean enough but not sparkling, low quality sheets that seem to easily work their way off the mattress. Dont know about breakfast yet, it goes away at 9:30 even on weekends.
This was the worst place I have ever stayed. To start it off, I walked in the motel at 12:00 am. No one was there at the desk and a sign said to dial some number to get an attendants attention. I dial the phone 4 times and no one shows up. 10 MINUTES pass by and I start calling the hotel itself. I called 4 times and no one answered. Are you kidding me? It’s late and I just want to check in. Finally, I make a personal phone call and a woman walks through the employee door. She asks, did you dial the number on the phone? I respond that I’ve called multiple times and even Called the hotel. She didn’t hear the phone once, all she heard was my voice. Once I was checked in and went to my room, I was disgusted. After driving 5 hours, I had to use the restroom. I go in and there is PEE on the seat. You’ve got to be kidding me. After seeing hair, stains, and stickiness on the surfaces, I call Expedia to complain and get a new reservation. By this time it’s pushing 1 am and I have to be up by 4. Expedia attempts to call the hotel and cannot reach them. I was unable to get a refund because the hotel wouldn’t answer the phone!!!! That night, I slept on towels because of the disgusting sheets. I’m sure the towels weren’t clean either but I had to do what I had to do. I will NEVER return a extended stay America in my lifetime. This was the worst experience I have ever had in my lifetime.
So, based on all of the negative reviews, we actually asked to review the room first. We were shown 211 and yes the room had a strange odor, the bathroom tub had tooth paste in it and hair and pubic hair on the toilet. Perhaps the perception is that because it is offered at a reduced rate, that sanitation can be skimmed on and made ready upon request, however, this is a horrible business practice and management can only apologize so much before theyre offerings begin to fall on deaf ears. While I am sure there are worse facilities, quite frankly, Im surprised that with being recommended by Seaton hospital, that the regulations are not more stringent for guest service accomodations.
Made a mistake with the reservations and ended up at the Extended Stay. Not sure I would ever stay here again. The trash cans outside were overflowing with trash and beer cans. There was a ton of mud tracked in the front door. They do allow dogs here but boy, the ones that I did see were very stinky. The staff was nice. The room was large. Glad I didnt have to cook, as the kitchen area was not very clean.
The Extended Stay America at 10100 Capital Texas Hwy, turned out to be an excellent choice for my recent trip to Austin. The hotel is very clean and Nice looking. The staff are super nice and very accommodating. I would recommend everyone to give them a try. Thank you Extended Stay America at capital texas Hwy.
The hotel was overbooked by numerous rooms. We had a reservation but our room was not available. We were given the very last room and then charged extra because it was a different room type. I was on hold with their main office for over 20 minutes trying to sort it out. Even with my reservation number, I was still responsible to tell them what price I was quoted when I booked the room. Will never stay there again.
If I could review this place with 0 stars I would. The evening desk attendant was lazy and seemed put out to have to have to assign us a room. Once we got in our room we noticed what appeared to be mustard stuck on the wall and on the ceiling. There was also a black spot on the ceiling, possibly mold or old coke I dont know. The refrigerator was not cleaned well, and there was pubes in the shower already. When we went to leave for the evening we notified the lazy attendant who basically told us too bad. When we were ready to check out the next morning, the day attendant was nowhere to be found for about 30 minutes. Poor customer service and less than clean rooms, only plus is the beds are comfy and the sheets are clean.
I came and stayed at this place while on a business trip. Customer service overall -5There is no service and people here are even rude. I wanted to talk to the regional sales manager, but she is not available to talk. Many bugs can be found on the floor, on the sink, and in the bathroom.Housekeeping are not done as scheduled.Had to ask if you want to get your room cleaned. If I had known, I dont think I would have chosen this place. Please pay little more and go find some place else.
After staying in several ESAs over months, this location is my favorite. Rooms are clean, environment pleasant, rates reasonable, close to shopping centers, Sam’s Club, Costco, Target and two major highways. What sets this dwelling apart is the staff.I checked out recently, but had to stay another day. I requested and was given the same room. I walked back into a room I’d left only hours earlier and it was dazzling, with the bathroom literally gleaming. You haven’t had a room cleaned until you’ve had it done by Margaret. She cleans like it’s her home.I was traveling with large luggage, some holding books. Mark, who I later learned is over maintenance, saw me from the other end of the hall struggling with the cart. He stopped what he was doing and not only helped me but loaded the heavy suitcases into my car.Sophia is the front desk person who helped me understand the system. One of my early stays kept extending and I wasn’t understanding the # 800 staff’s explanation about the difference in fees. Sophia heard me asking questions and came to explain my options, so I could make the best decision for me. Whenever I’ve had a problem, she’s the one to solve it.She and the front desk staff are phenomenal about helping. They greet you like family and accommodate your residential needs. At this last visit, I noticed the office chair at the desk in my room was out of alignment. I called the front desk to ask if I could exchange it for another. Before I could get 2 doors down the hall, Amalia was already meeting me with a chair. That’s the type of service they give. When I first stayed and read the kitchen utility offering, I called the front desk to order and prepared to go get it. Jerry, said, “No, we can bring it to you.” And he did, within minutes. Once I opened a window and couldn’t get it back down to lock it before night. Again, Jerry to the rescue.Once, I demagnetized my key, Richard from the front desk brought me new keys in minutes along with a gadget to resolve the issue, just so I wouldn’t have to walk back and forth to the front desk after a long day at work. Another time, he, too, helped me with luggage, to get it to my room when the cart was overloaded. That’s what sets Extended Stay America at the Arboretum/Capitol of Texas Highway above other hotels…its service through its people.
Ive been staying at this location now for over 8 months and have to say they have provided the best service Ive experienced with an extended stay hotel. The staff (Richard, Amillia, Maria, Leon, Leina, Margaret, and even the new maintenance guy) have made me feel like family and have continually gone over and beyond to make my stay memorable. I have and will continue to refer family, friends, and co-workers that travel to stay at this location. If you want great service and to feel safe this is the place to be..Thanks Extended Stay Team!!Chris M.
I hate to leave one like this, I really try to give the best and positive if I can. Lets just start with me and myself booking without reading any of the other reviews. I went in blind without knowing and expect a decent hotel. As I checked in the front office was nice and check me in no complain. Went to the room and it was a horrible smell, a combination of smoke and must. So I called the front to ask if we could change the room. They we nice enough to do it. Thats what gave the 2 star, now the room does not come with a coffee maker. You have to look in the manual and they want you to ask for it. Now that is not the bad part, the bad part is there is no ice machine. How can you not have a ice machine for your customer? I had some bottles of water that were hot in the trunk and expected some ice to have a cold drink but it didnt happen. So the breakfast is grab and go and its not a full one which is fine with me, just the time frame written on the card was 6:30/9:30am 2 hours for you to get it or else your out. I probably wont stay here again and I hope that my review can give others a heads up before they come in...
Maybe it was a bizarre fluke, but this is easily the most disgusting hotel experience Ive ever had. And Im not picky. Ive stayed at a lot of cheap hotels. Ive stayed at hostels. I enjoy camping. Ive slept in my car outside a Dennys. Ill sleep anywhere. I booked a room here because of their pet policy. The front desk people seemed friendly, but unfortunately thats the only positive thing I can say. The keys did not work to my first room, so I had to wait at the door until the front door staff let me in. Once I got inside, it stank of cigarette smoke. Because I have asthma and because the front door was malfunctioning (dying battery in the card reader?), they offered me another room. I accepted and stayed for about an hour. The chain lock was broken, so I could not lock my door. Several of the other residents.... were definitely on drugs. The smoke detector had been removed from the wall. All of that, I was willing to forgive because I really just wanted a place to sleep and to work.... and then I went to the bathroom, and the toilet was full of the prior tenants horrific and mountainous diarrhea and toilet paper. I will spare you the pictures, but it was so bad that I am certain that I could not have flushed it. I nearly threw up and was so sick that I just left and drove back home. They gave me a refund with no argument. Like I said, the front desk staff were very friendly. As an aside, when I accidentally locked myself out of my room while unloading my car, I went into the lobby and there was a front desk person there who had never seen me before. I told her I locked myself out of the room, and she asked for my room number and gave me a key right away. On one hand, I appreciate it. On the other, its a little scary that she didnt confirm that I was a guest or even ask for my name/identification before giving me a key to a room. They might consider retraining their staff on security. And hire a housekeeper?I felt extremely unsafe, and the room conditions were really gross. I couldnt bring myself to stay the night. Enough said.
This place smells SO TERRIBLE!!! It doesnt look/smell like they have EVER cleaned it AND, we had to move rooms because it looked like the sheets werent cleaned and there were poop stains on the sheets. There was dog food and a cracker on the floor in our SECOND room!! Legit not worth the stay. Sleep in your car!
Showed up to check in after driving over 4 hours only to find out our room was overbooked. Staff could not have cared less about the situation, made no attempt to help, made no offers of finding another hotel and simply said yeah, we overbook sometimes and looks like it was you this time. I dont know what to say... at which point they walked outside to take a smoke break. I travel quite frequently and this was easily the worst stay of any hotel I have ever stayed.
I stayed here for 2 full weeks recently.Good:- Clean rooms- Usable kitchen- Optimal AC that works when you want it to- Lot of stores and eateries at a walkable distanceCan be better:- Breakfast is just muffins, bars and coffee (not even milk)- Cleaning is done once in 7 days onlyBeware:- Pathetic internet; 1 Mbps speed (I checked twice!) and flaky all the time- Disorganised front desk staff with reservations. Double check before you arrive even if you book on their website by calling the hotel twice.
Overall, I can say the quality was fair to good. The breakfast was only coffee, muffin & Oat bar. On second day, they were no more muffins and when I asked for they told we ran out of it. There were 3 people working at the receiptoin, one of them was so helpful and polite, while the other one was a little bit rud.It was clean. But I had problem with the free internet as well, because everyday I had to reconnect all my devices.
I am currently staying in this dump but will check out tomorrow. When I walked in the lobby this enormous thug finally came to the front desk and reeked of pot. Im now in the room and the stench of tobacco is horrific. I had planned to stay 3 nights but will check out in the morning. I wont even go into the foul smell of old food in the hallways. Ive been staying in hotels for thirty years as a business person and this is the worst room Ive ever stayed in.Avoid this place at all cost.
Hotel smelled of cigarette smoke and some other smoke😑 badly. I complained 3 separate times of the smoke...especially since there is a 250.00 charge for smoking in the Mom smoking rooms...I requested non smoking room. The night clerks response was to give me a bottle of watered down Febreze to spray in the room. The early morning desk clerk was nice and sympathetic to the smoke but...I will never stay there again. I am back in Dallas and still suffering from allergy symptoms related to that smoked out room.
Worst hotel experience EVER!!!! The staff (multiple people) were RUDE, and wouldnt honor even a simple request such as can we have a stopper for the bath tub drain. Upon that request, we were told this hotel doesnt use stoppers in the bath tub, take a shower. The breakfast consisted of 3 old apples and some stale granola bars (yes i understand Free, but CMON!!!!) .The bed was awful, the kitchen had NO glasses, plates, etc.. why have a kitchen that you cant cook or eat in????The manager (upon checkout) was nice and apologized for her rude/lazy employees, but I do NOT recommend this hotel even for those lucky enough to get it on Hotwire for $43/night. WAY too many nicer and friendlier places to stay in Austin.
The night desk clerk that checked us in gave us the key to someone elses room. Our non-smoking room reeked of smoke and the smoke detector had been taped up with a plastic bag. When I complained about the smoke smell and there smoke detector in our room he basically told us too bad and I would have to speak to the manager in the morning. Instead of the manager we spoke to a young lady who helped us get a refund and said the regional manager would call us later. He never did... We got a refund for the remainder of our stay after paying for one night but will never stay with this chain again.
Love every stay. I visit Austin Quite often And cant find a more comfortable hotel to stay then this one. Love the staff, all very friendly and helpful. Louis makes this Hotel the best, he deserves #1 Award for Best Customer service.I thank everyone here for their hard caring work.Very great Hotel. Highly recommend:)
I stayed here recently on business with the military. The bed was horrible and the room smelled like mold. I could not sleep due to the barking dog the first two nights and was told the dog would be removed both days. There were loud & drunk men outside my window by the lobby to which I reported to the front desk. I was told they lived there and would not be asked to move to a new area to drink but only to quiet down. There behavior went on to 2AM on a Wednesday.
Certain staff make an effort to stay hidden after 9pm. You get to guess which washer isnt going to eat your quarters and leave you wandering back to your room to get more. You cant find the night staff member to complain because they make a concerted effort to disappear. The stove exhaust fan blows the heat, grease, and or smoke back into your face! It goes nowhere!haha. 2 of my coworkers have had bed bugs, I personally walked into an occupied room after checking in. I scared a young lady and had to apologise profusely. Went back to the desk and told them what happend when I first checked in. Just then another guest came to complain that their door was opened by someone and they ran off because the door catch was locked and scared them away. I guess the locks on the doors are not code changed after someone checks out. You cannot trust this place to keep you and your stuff safe. Zero trust here.
This hotel is in a good location, closer to most of what your want to do in ATX. The bathrooms have recently been resurfaced, so they are pretty clean. Everything in the rooms IS very basic, but clean. The free breakfast is basically packaged granola bars and subpar coffee.... They call it grab-and-go. Boo. Theres nothing already on the rooms - not even coffee machines. You have to order it from the front desk. No ice machines. Your definitely paying for location, not luxury.
This is the probably the worst hotel I have stayed at in America and I travel a lot. Dark parking area. The attendant was smoking right outside the door before I walked in. He is probably the weirdest, most standoffish, introverted manager/attendant I have ever seen in my life. The hotel itself is broke down. The halls are dark. The room is dirty. No coffee machine or cups provided. Breakfast area is just amazing. No chairs or table. Basically the coffee stand with subpar coffee and no cooked food at all. The toilet was overall not dirty per set but there were color piss mark on the seat which would have been cleaned by a average cleaner. I also got the kitchen stuff to cook something. They were subpar to begin with and also heavily used. TV remote was dirty too. Even to my surprise the general Extended Stay soap is noticeably low quality. I booked for 4 days. But had to check out within the second day due to this hotel being so depressing.
I was in room 309 and room 409 were new people every night making a lot of noise. The floor was not sound proof and the 4th floor are all smoking rooms. The rooms are renovated and when it was quiet it was nice, tv has only 29 stations, and the kitchen was good, I like to cook and they give you dishes, pot and pan to cook, silverware, plastic glasses, can opener, toaster, coffee w/coffee pot. The room was good, just noisy people, I spent most of my time complaining and upset,
I needed to find a hotel on short notice in an area to where I travel on business. For some reason all of the hotels in the area were booked up that week except for this one. I had stayed in 2-star hotels before so even after seeing negative reviews I asked myself how bad can it be?.I checked in and was given a room on the 4th floor. Upon arriving on the 4th floor I was hit with a strong bad odor with an automatic air freshener sprayer trying to cover up for it. I entered my room and was almost blown back by the bad smell of the room- I would say a combination of ethnic cooking, pot, and patchouli. After a few minutes I grew accustomed to the smell and it wasnt so bad. The room itself reminded me of what a third-world tenement must be like- very low quality appointments.Later than evening when I returned from dinner there was a guest a few doors away who was cooking and had his door propped open with a shoe so the smell of his cooking was wafting into the hallway.I had found someone elses hair in the shower and part of a food wrapper on the floor next to the bed.Thankfully at least the bed was comfortable and had sheets and pillow-cases of reasonable quality. I am also thankful there were no bugs.Breakfast consisted of a choice of Blueberry or Banana Walnut Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, granola bars, plain instant oatmeal and coffee. On the second day there wasnt even oatmeal when I came down at 6:30am.Facing a similar situation I would rather drive 10 miles to another hotel rather than stay in this one again. Worst 2-star hotel experience Ive had.
We came here for the 4th of July and I was tired of driving from GA. So we booked this Hotel. It Is exactly what its intended to be. Clean, quiet, friendly - close to shopping and to highway! Very helpful front desk- ask for Luis! If people rate it poorly then they expect too much! I travel alot with kids and for business- this was perfect for its purpose! I dont expect 4-5 star service in a cozy 2-3 star.....if you needy go to four seasons and pay $300 a night!Thank you for a great good night sleep@ this hotel!
Great location, just far enough from downtown for the traffic to not be horrible, but close enough to be near shopping and landmarks and its right on MoPac. Reasonably clean, not too much noise at night and it seems pretty safe. Plenty of parking close to the door. Cons are extremely rude staff, only one bed with no rollaways and no prayer of getting help with accomodating little kids. Nobody at the desk from 11-7. Overall rating of meh,.its okay I guess.
When I got into my room there was an old hardened DINNER ROLL next to my bed and an empty water bottle....I left my pillow there (Lux Living Lavender infused) and called the same day I checked out telling them I would return and pick it up in a few days. When I got back to the hotel to pick it up, the outer case had obviously been removed and left askew... the pillow smelled like CHLORINE and was hard as a rock.Normally, I would not have noticed, but I sleep on this pillow every night... when I asked the manager (Felinda ?) what had happened to the pillow she immediately informed me the housekeeper who cleaned my room had been let go so she could not ask her what happened... Not only was she incompetent and dismissive but she started to have a full on conversation with TWO different people during our discussion.I am very displeased with her lack of help. I have just spoken with a customer rep on the phone (Heidi) who has been INCREDIBLY HELPFUL in getting me to the right place/people to fix this.Hoping we can get the pillow replaced - maybe next time I will just sleep in my car...Oh, and Richard (the guy who answered during late hours) was very sweet, helpful and accommodating too.
A good place and good mangment but they need tobe more willing to work with each person as there needs are and wants. As not one person deal is the same and why they are there and for how long and stuff like that otherwise its a pretty good its not like a five star top end like The W or JW Marott in Austin, Tx. Plus they need to know when someone is there for over a week let alone a month there are different rules and laws that have yobe fallow. Also they need to learn the law of American with Disabilys act abd how that comes to play. Just my thoughts dout this will change that ESA hotel
They gave me a room with no T.V and refused to move me to another room .or give me another T.V Will not recommend this Hotel the room lights are very low and depressing not a pleasant stay at all the general manager is rude and refuse to give me any money back for not providing a T..V in my room from the hotel
Eh.... It was close to where I needed to be the next day but wasnt close to downtown which I never got around to visiting. Rooms were ok and did include a stove and large fridge so if you are in need of an inexpensive place to stay a while it and cook your in meals to save money... it may appeal to you.
The staff is welcoming and very accommodating. And the manager went out of his way to help me when i was in a financial rut. This 4 story extended stay hotel features a laundry room, a grab n go breakfast, small kitchenettes, and plenty of parking. Its located in a very convenient location near the domain and the arboretum where you have tons of commercial type stores as well as some very cool local stores. You have a widr variety of restaurants to choose from. So whether your needing to stay for a short time or a long time if youre looking for something affordable thats not a whole in the wall. Extended Stay America is they way to go.
I stayed at this place this past weekend July8-9. To hang out & party with my ATX friends. I stayed during SXSW and never had an issue. This round a front desk employee by the name of CARLTON made a key to enter my room and touched me inappropriately. SEXUAL ASSULT BY LAW! I have reached out to management only to be ignored, filed a police report and the hotel is trying to cover up what an employee is doing to people! The manager I spoke with was Very condescending and rude and wouldnt not even provide his OWN NAME! RED FLAG! He issued me a refund and which was only right, but lets me know that he knows this is wrong ! Women & Children DO NOT STAY HERE! If this intruder intrudes and someone is seriously hurt! The hotel will try and cover it up! This man was bold enough to walk in my room and grope from behind with me standing with headphones I can only imagine how an inebriated guest would taken advantage of! BE AWARE !
This is the dirtiest hotel room I have stayed in, in a long long time. Hair on pillow cases,in the bed, in the sink,in the tub,on the shower curtain,on the toilet, on the floor. Wet stains on the floor, dirty mirrors, refrigerator has syrup splatter on the door, night stands werent wiped down, even a hair hanging off the lamp shade. I took a whole lot of photos to show someone.
Great and friendly place management an costumer service was Awsome very respectful/ leon Harvey great guy and manager / front desk help was very friendly and spoke good English we felt like guests. Not his people who they have to deal with thanks a bunch will see your hotel rooms again
Good points:- helpful and polite staff- enough parling lots of all- kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and the staff can provide you with silverBad parts:- bad internet- the showering system is most of the times good, but it happened twice that there was no hot water, and sometimes this system gets noisy and low pressured
Management rips you off on dog fees they dont refund you your monthly taxes like theyre supposed to the trash there is horrible overflowing they didnt change it for the first two weeks I was there they never clean the staircases they smell like stale smoke the staff is really rude.

2022-06-28I will not stay at one of these properties ever again. The rooms at here have not been updated in years. There are posters all over the lobby and in the elevators (as well as on their website) about their cleanliness protocol. As far as I can tell they mean nothing. The first room we were given the key for had hair all over the bathroom vanity and dirty floors. I asked for a clean room and was told that my standards were too high. The next room we were given had a filthy, old carpet that had more than a dozen cigarette burn marks. The recliner chair also had burn marks and cat claw marks. The microwave had food splatters left over from another tennant. I could go on about needed repairs. We did request maintenance to come fix a light in the kitchenette area, as well as a clogged bathroom sink and they fixed the problems the next day.The youngish woman that is primary night staff is rude, condescending, and lazy. Otherwise the rest of the staff we found helpful and nice.I called corporate twice to try to resolve this. The first time I was told that I would receive a call back within 48 hours. I waited 6 days, called back and was told that they couldnt find where I was staying so they closed the case. They had no problem finding me on this call and I was again told I would be called back in 48 hours. After an 18 day stay, no phone call was ever received. Had they bothered, I probably would not have posted this poor of a review. If corporate is reading this, dont bother with the standard reply, its worthless words. I will spread the message far and wide not to stay at Extended Stay America, here or anywhere else.

2022-05-11The location was disgusting and filthy. It stunk. The bed felt like you were sleeping on the floor. The ceiling had like a black mold look to it. The restroom had a wash cloth already used placed were you would put your shampoo. I would never ever stay here and possibly never stay at another location of this establishment. I thought I was going to get taken at night how scary this place was.

2022-04-12The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and I had chance to meet the general Manager “ Mr. H”- when we check In , he was amazing, extremely accommodating, delightful and eager to help! . And He went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this Extended stay America for anyone visiting North west Austin .

2022-04-03Pros:- Sweet and supportive employees- Upper floor rooms have a nice and privacy view- Quite clean (both living area and bathroom) - Full kitchen set for long stayCons:- Small bathroom- Swivel chair is not clean (except the one with leather)- Housekeeping is once 2 weeks, so better keep the room clean yourself.Thinking about to rate 3.5-star but Google did not have it. Ccovid-19 is hard for everyone so 4-star for the employees.

2022-03-24Highly dislike that they do not clean the rooms during our stay.I requested room service for simple things like towels and cleaning the floors, and was told I have to pay extra. They only clean the rooms every 2 weeks and who knows if they even change the sheets between customers😑

2022-05-03I made reservations with Extended Stay America Hotel through Expedia. (3rd party). For Friday, April 29, 2022-May 1, 2022. Expedia provided me with a confirmation number and an itinerary number. I arrived at the Hotel on April 29 at approximately 10:30 PM. The front desk asked for my drivers license and could not look up my reservations. I provided them with both the confirmation number and itinerary number. The hotel was still unable to look up my reservations. The front desk informed me that I would need to contact Expedia to resolve the issue and request a refund. Due to the nighttime, there was no manager on the premises. Monday, May 2, arrived and I contacted Expedia. They were under the impression I had a successful stay at the hotel and was unaware of the mishap. Expedia was very helpful in helping me resolve the issue; however, they advised they needed to open an investigation to look into the situation. Expedia has contacted the Hotel several times, I have contacted the hotel several times, and the manager or any manager has failed to contact Expedia or me back. From the information I have gathered, the hotel gave my reservation to another customer named Julie Tompkins. The hotel has not been helpful in helping me resolve this issue so I can get my refund back and I would like to file a complaint. All I want to the hotel to call Expedia to conclude the investigation so I can get my refund back with Expedia. Approximately $250 dollars was deducted from my account. My friends ended up staying at the hotel and they advised the rooms had mildew on the ceiling. Unprofessional, uncleanness and unorganized place. Do not stay here

2022-03-08Positive: the cleanliness was the best thing! but the location and price was also great. Negative: the staff was friendly but minimal, hard to get someone to answer the front desk phone and no one at desk for check-in and out.
