Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott San Antonio NESchertz in Schertz
We went to San Antonio without booking a room.. so when our day was over we started call hotels and we didnt have any luck. So we stopped in and talked to the front desk. They worked their magic and got us a room. ALL the staff were very nice and the hotel was very clean. The food at breakfast was very good and the pool was very enjoyable. If we are in that area again we will stay there again!!!
Friday night November 5... $250 king suite. The room is old and dingy. The bathroom looks like motel 6 would be an upgrade. The shower curtain is falling down and Ive seen dog bathing tubes bigger than this. Honestly its about the size of a foot spa. Hair in the floor and in the tub.
Friendly staff and quiet. However this place is over priced. I paid almost 170 for a one night stay . The hallways and elevator did not have ac which made my room so hot even with the small window ac. The bathroom had no ac and It was super hot. It was hard to sleep in heat. I had to get ready the next day for an interview and since the bathroom was a sauna I just got ready makeup wise in my car. The closet barely opened and was very cheap. I just think over all this place is way over priced.
Great experience! It was a shame the hot tub was not operational. The housekeeping was outstanding. Yolanda was so thoughtful! She really made our stay more comfortable. Always going out of her way to be helpful. The front desk staff were kind and refreshing. There was one clerk that had an attitude problem but the exceptional service from the others was more than my husband and I had excepted. I will say they do need to focus on cleaning the upholstery on the loveseats in the suites and look at replacing the mattresses, they are not bad but do need attention. Would I stay here again?or recommend it? I would absolutely stay here again you just cant beat caring professionals that truly want to make your life easier while you are in their presence/hotel. That is VALUABLE !!!!! Well done! 😁
Near the lobby restrooms was a disgusting sewer/water smell. In our room the remotes were placed in a bag to give the impression they were sanitized, however, one was sticky in the back. Not impressed with the new “cleaning protocols” at this hotel at all. The small table in front of the sofa had jelly around the edge that got in my clothes. Clearly they do not clean very well. We slept hopeful as our sheets looked and smelled clean. The best part of the hotel was the grab and go breakfast. Which is not necessarily a compliment. Being on a restricted diet, there was not many kosher, gluten free, nor vegan options. But it was a hot breakfast. We will not be staying here again.
The staff is very nice and the hotel was quiet and in a nice area. The breakfast was very limited probably due to covid and there were few options. The room was a bit stinky and the air was off but once we turned the air on it went away. Microwave and fridge in the room. The bed wasn’t that comfortable it’s a spring bed.
Simple, basic hotel that is well kept & staffed with employees who seem to truly enjoy their work & have great morale. Whoever manages this place has assembled an outstanding crew. Food & beverage is mediocre--but Im sure COVID restrictions have a great deal to do with that.
From checkin to checkout everyone we encountered was gracious and helpful. The grounds on the property were beautiful and well maintained. Quite a few of the plantings were in full bloom. We appreciate the care and work that takes. Olivia, Sara and Lisa (?) at the front desk were helpful with toiletries and fresh towels. We were informed upon checkin that housekeeping was not performing daily room cleaning so we knew we’d need to access our own towels and toiletries. We always appreciate a heads up. The breakfasts were wonderful. We’ve been having to do “Grab N Go” as we’ve travelled lately and a hot, sit down breakfast at our hotel was welcome. The breakfast attendants were THE BEST we’ve ever encountered. Pleasant, good humored and efficient is a plus but a sense of humor is really appreciated. Way to go, Breakfast Ladies! Plus: Coffee was available at the front desk and at the buffet. It had to be served to us but, hey, it was free. Common areas were clean and polished. The facility was full but wasn’t noisy and we didn’t feel as if there were too many people squeezed into a small space. The room was very quiet and we wonder if the thick, near-popcorn treatment on the ceiling helped buffer sound above us. Whatever the case, it was quiet in our room. Hot water to sink and shower was delivered almost immediately. BONUS POINTS! We also enjoyed the very clean pool and warm bubbly hot tub. We had been AirBNB fans for years but with cleaning fees AirBNBs have been charging and the hot breakfast buffet at our hotel plus all the gracious personalities, we’re glad we chose a Marriott property for our trip. Keep up the good work, Fairfield Schertz.
A nice small hotel. Our stay was great for a night however I did notice a few things. The first is popcorn ceilings. If you didn’t know they can release toxic gasses and cause long term affects. The other thing I noticed is the guide button on the remote doesn’t work. I would sleep here again on a road trip.
Poor hygiene and poor customer service. When we arrived, we were tired and fall asleep soon and the next day we went out early for sightseeing. When we came back, we noticed 3 of the 4 pillows have the stains that were very suspicious for mold (as shown in the pictures). And my mom even smelled mold in the closet. I called the front desk to change the pillows. When I talk to them the next morning and asked for explanation and apology for this. They initially said it was not mold but didn’t know what it was??? Till now, a week after we checked out, we have never been contacted by them for this. —— I think the mold is probably caused by the poor cleaning, and the rainy weather, and the room may be vacant for several days prior to our checking in. But who wants to stay in the hotel after this experience???
As mentioned before everything was very good at the hotel. People and service was very good. Room was clean. Everyone was very helpful. Pool and workout room was nice and clean. Food was decent esp the buffet on weekend. Would recommend to anyone. Would stay there again.
The most uncomfortable bed we have ever experienced at a Marriott property...well..in any hotel we have visited in the past 10 years. Everyone in our party (4 total in 2 separate rooms) said the same thing the next morning, That bed was awful and gave me a backacheThe uncomfortable bed overshadowed all the positives about this property.
Stayed here a night during the power outage. The lady who checked me in was not nice at all. Avoided eye contact and was very short with me. But every other employee, from the housekeeper to the breakfast people and the lady that checked me out was great! The room was nice! It was very clean. Nice, comfortable place to stay.
12/24-I would like to say “Thank You”, to Sarah and another front desk representative were the best! They have very warm hearts and will go above and beyond for there guests to make sure you are taken care of and comfortable in your room. Upon going to our room (my daughter and I), noticed that there was a slight odor in the hall where our room was located, there also were hand prints on one of the mirrors in the room. Please know-The key cards were a major issue each and every-time. “Keyless is the best and safest”I notified Sarah and asked to get up graded, to another room, she didn’t hesitate and did this without adding on the upgrade fee to accommodate us. In doing this the Front Desk Assistant has to accompany you to make sure everything in the room was okay.As we were looking this over we thought everything was good, until we saw that the remote control wasn’t covered with plastic (due to Covid), this is a must. One of T.V.’s didn’t work in the room also, and we looked to see if it was plugged in as we tried the controls on the T.V. panel, also in trying to locate the remote control, it was missing. The last room we were taken too, worked out well. One thing the carpet as you entered the room was frayed, so please get that fixed.I say thank you, to the food attendant who served in the lobby. Housekeeping stay safe, keep wiping everything down including the lamps.I would recommend it, if you would like to stay here. But we most likely will not again.Stay safe!
We booked the hotel for a family get together. The hotel was clean and secure, the staff was friendly and accommodating. It was different not having daily room cleaning/services, but given the circumstances it was handled very well. It is very conveniently located as well.
We were greeted by a very pleasant young man. The lobby and breakfast area was big and modern decor. Our room was very clean and comfortable. That was the only place that we knew it was an older Fairfield Inn and it was just the color of walls and texture but that was not a problem. It was conveinent to everything you need and plenty of places to eat. Close enough to San Antionio but far enough to avoid all the traffic,All employees were friendly and made sure our stay was going well.
This hotel was average. Very disappointed for a Marriott property. The beds were not comfortable and the rooms were quite small and outdated. Bathroom needs upgraded. Nice personnel but definitely not what we are used to. Staying at a Comfort Suites or Holiday Inn Express nearby would have been a better use of money.
We were glad to find the Fairfield in Schertz at the last minute during Spring Break. It was clean, centrally located to restaurants, HEB grocery store, interstate 3009, Wal Mart, indoor games, laser tag, bowling and about 30 minutes to the River Walk, Alamo, etc. There is a Sonic and BBQ place across the street. We were glad to be able to bring our dog too. You can swim in the outdoor pool and workout in the indoor gym. My husband also used the business center for work calls. Due to COVID, the breakfast was limited to yogurt, donuts, granola bars, and oranges.
Your staff is exceptional! From the front desk(Anisa) and the breakfast crew, to our room service! Our flight arrived after midnight and then had to deal with lost luggage, so I didn’t quite make it, on time for breakfast. However, when the ladies heard what I’d been through, they went above and beyond in trying to put together a few things that we could eat! You don’t see that kind of caring, at most other places! Unfortunately, I didn’t get their names. Also, our rooms were neat and clean, whenever we would turn on for the night. Thank you, for your hospitality!
This hotel exceeded my expectations. This is the best Fairfield I have ever stayed in. The room is clean and well-defined with clean carpet, and the bathroom is clean and tidy. The complimentary hot breakfast has lots of choices, sausage, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, cereal, waffles, etc. If you are a Marriott Rewards member and stay for more than one day, then you can get 250 bonus points every day when you choose not to have house keeping. The location of this hotel is very convenient and close to many fun places. I will definitely stay here again in the future and highly recommend it to everyone.
Great hotel near Natural Bridge Caverns. Clean hotel with good breakfast. Front desk employees were very nice. Only concern is how small the pull out couch is. Typically our kids can share the pull out couch but this one was so small it only fit one kid so our son slept in the chair. We will definitely stay here again but will get to queen beds next time.
I dont want this location to get dinged for the failings of another but I feel somewhat cheated by having a cancelation fee leveed against me for not cancelling but changing my reservation from one location to another under the same banner, and being told by the hotel staff member (Boerne) that I would not be charged a cancellation fee. I will not book accommodations with any Marriott property until this has been addressed and resolved. I do wish to note that the staff at this location (Schertz) did everything in their abilities to get the Boerne General Manager to speak with me and not once was my call returned. My sincere thanks to the folks at Schertz and acute indignation for the staff of the Boerne location.
This hotel was very nice. Hot breakfast in the morning was pretty good, but quite repetitive after 5 mornings. The fitness center was one of the nicest ones Ive seen in this level of hotel with 3 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, a good assortment of weights and a couple benches. Check in was breeze. When I left the do not disturb sign on my door, they did not service it as I intended. When I took the sign down, my room was always serviced nicely. Overall, good experience.
The room was not Marriott standard at all and here’s why: the bathroom mirror had not been cleaned (had dried toothpaste or soap splatter and a hair on the mirror), the closet door was broke- off the sliding rails- accident waiting to happen, no safe I. The closet, and no alarm clock in the night stand… also the plugs on the lamp that sits on the desk seemed to big- would hold my iPhone charger plug. Also- when I was I. The shower I discovered hair on the wall (tiles)… this room needs to be completely revamped!!!!
I attend an Air Force conference approx. once a year. This is the second time our conference was done at your hotel. Only because of the out-standing service we get. We use your conference meeting room; slight problem with the A/C but they brought in fans until the A/C got going (it was hot outside and that affected the cooling system). The staff are wonderful. The room was great. The breakfast made me want to get up early just to enjoy it. Country boys like bacon and sausage and eggs. Remember - next time - biscuits and gravy.
After checking out of a well known Riverwalk hotel due to uncleanliness/lack of room amenities needed for our stay, as well as no free parking for patrons, our stay at this hotel was very refreshing. It was my first experience with Fairfield Inn and Suites, and I was pleasantly surprised (especially after my aforementioned experience at another chain). From the moment we checked in, to the moment we departed, I was at ease. The staff was professional, attentive and friendly. The hotel common areas were clean and well kept. The room was also comfortable, clean and held every amenity (fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, etc.) you would expect a hotel to have but unfortunately is not always the case. The hotel is also centrally located as far as San Antonio life, and a walk/short drive from dining and shopping. I was extremely satisfied with out overall experience and am more willing to stay at other Fairfield Inn and Suites locations in the future.
Ill never stay here again..paid 130 for a rough nite..bed was hard as a rock, breakfest in a bag but food was outdated. Pillow cases had stains and one even had blood stain on it. The far worst room I ever paid for. Even supper 8 and motel 6 was better then here. Im going to go back to Hamton inn and yall aint even in the ball game. I want my money back. Not even handicap but they didnt want to lose out on 130 so they put ua in the cahnicap room. We took it bcuz we been on the road for 12hrs and im 37 weeks pregnant and hoilday inn had no rooms available so we had no choice to come stay here. Woke up to my back hurting and was hard to get up and move around.
This is not a great property for Marriott but is priced as such. The room had some funky mold/ water damage next to the sprinkler. The sitting area chair in the room was damaged and had nails pointing outward which thankfully caught my pants and not my bareskin leg. Service was fine and the hotel just needs a little TLC.
I was highly impressed by the staff of this Fairfield Inn & Suites. I interacted with three different ladies at the front desk, and each one of them gave fabulous customer service. I was only staying one night at the hotel having an early meeting that started at 6am the following day. I left the hotel around 5:30am and did not formally check out at that time as I had received an invoice on my room door. I ended up getting very sick (most likely with food poisoning from the prior days meal) shortly after arriving at my meeting. I called the hotel and asked if it was okay for me to come back to my room at 8am. The front desk attendant said absolutely and that I was welcome to come back. When I arrived, she had rescanned a hotel key for me and let me know I could stay until 3pm for a late checkout with no additional fee. Had I needed additional time, I would have been able to extend for one more night. As I had to travel to Austin that day for a meeting the following day, I was able to rest for several hours with no stress about having to check out by 11am. I was able to feel well enough to pack up and make the drive to Austin. And that was just one of the positive interactions I had with the three ladies I spoke with during my stay. I am so thankful for the caring staff. I am not sure I would have been able to make it to Austin safely had I not had those extra few hours of rest before making the drive. If I ever return to San Antonio for work, I will absolutely stay at this hotel again.
This hotel was in the best location to quickly and easily get to San Antonio, San Marcos, New Braunfels, and Gruen. The staff, in all service positions-front desk, breakfast servers, and housekeeping, were polite, helpful and friendly. Only drawbacks were the Wi-Fi and beds are starting to show their age. However, those issues did not detract too much. The rooms were clean and adequately sized. It was nice to go back to the room and relax after a day of exploring!
The room was clean and nice. The staff was friendly efficient and helpful. Most of all I left my jewelry pouch in the room with several pieces of valuable jewelry. When I called and spoke to Michelle at the front desk she said she had a customer but took my number and said she would check the room and call me right back. She did just that and found my jewelry pouch. I asked her to hold it so my son could pick it up for me. When he got there I verified everything was in the pouch. To me that honesty was priceless.
We had pre-registered, so when we arrived, check in was quick and painless. We were in the room within minutes after arrival. The room was nicely furnished and clean. All the staff that we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast with a nice variety of selections available. One of my sons was a guest in a nearby hotel and commented that he was going to stay in the Fairfield the next time he visited.
I only went to attend a show that was held there so I cant comment on the rooms or an extended stay but the public areas were clean and comfortable. The restroom was very clean. Theres a coffee bar (free) off the lobby that was well stocked but the coffee was only was only warm, not hot.
I was in an accident during my stay at the Fairfield Inn and the staff could not be more accommodating to me. They were helpful to make sure I had easy access to my room and dining area. Garrett, in particular, went out of his way to make me an ice pack, provide straws, and open doors, so I could have a stress-free stay. Their kindness was unmatched and I’m always grateful for their hospitality.
This hotel was one of those rare places that didnt let covid-19 regulations take away from having amazing customer service. I loved being able to check-in early without much notice. My suite was clean and stayed a comfortable temp. Breakfast was actually a hot fresh meal not just pre-packaged garbage. When I asked for towels someone brought some to me instead of having to go down to the desk. Only 2 issues was only 1 out of 2 dryers worked & the internet didnt work well. Will definitely stay again!
The beds are comfortable, the bedding itself was soft and pillowy, and the room was clean. The staff was courteous and welcoming, we were greeted pleasantly by both the front desk staff and the housekeeping staff both on check in and check out. Its perfectly situated between San Antonio and New Braunfels so its a great spot if youre planning on visiting both. Its a quiet area as well, the hotel itself is on a non-busy street just off I35
This was the ideal for our Womens Retreat. As we women come together we always have one need after another. I must say, the staff was very patient, and they did whatever was in their boundary to a accommodate us. The staff was very professional. We really enjoyed ourselves. Perfect location, The Forum was just a short distance for those who like to shop. Many of your food changes are in walking distance, including HEB Super Store with a BBQ Pit and Bar in the store. We were all able to find what we like for our meals in walking distance.
This is an incredible place to stay, and my family will always continue to return. The circumstances which led to us needing to stay here for 4 nights were unfortunate (plumbing main line break). When I was telling the desk clerk Ashley about the reason we are staying, she was incredibly empathetic and so very kind to me. When we arrived Ashley was working the desk, and she remembered the conversation we had when I was making reservations. The staff here is awesome, rooms are impeccably clean and hotel is very well kept. If you are looking for a tremendous place to stay in Schertz, TX consider staying here, and they will treat you like family!
We werent familiar with this hotel but selected it based on location (proximity to family living in Cibolo). We wound up being pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel and its extremely convenient location. Clean room, good facilities, good breakfast, easy parking. We stayed for almost a week, so the hotels close proximity to (fast) food and shopping essentials -- Walmart, HEB Plus, Sonic Drive In, Taco Cabana, Rudys BBQ, Whataburger -- were really helpful. We wouldnt hesitate to stay here again.
I needed an escape for the weekend when my wife and her four sisters took over our house for a Sister Weekend, so I headed to the closest Marriott property. To be honest, I had never paid attention to the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Schertz, and that was a mistake! Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet, and breakfast was included! All in all a great stay...
We originally booked through Priceline, but they failed to contact Marriott with our reservation. Melissa, the front desk attendant, helped us successfully cancel and get all of our money back from Priceline, make a reservation, and matched the rate Priceline offered. She had our key ready and waiting for us before we were even off the phone with Priceline. She knows what customer service means! Experiences like this are why we stay at Marriott hotels. Highly recommend this hotel. Clean, friendly, modern, comfortable - and AMAZING customer service!
We love the Marriott brand and have come to know that any time we stay with them, it will always wonderful. The staff is always top notch, rooms are immaculate and great sized, clean lobby area and always tons of brochures for attractions in the area. Thank you Marriott for making my family feel like a part of yours.
Visiting friends and family who live in the area. Hotel is well run, clean, quiet, well maintained and the staff is friendly and efficient. While it was very convenient for our purposes (friends and family live in Schertz) it is also relatively convenient to downtown San Antonio, the airport and some of SAT attractions. Close to the Interstate but not effected by the traffic noise. There are plenty of eating and drinking establishments near the hotel as well as a grocery store. This is not a five star hotel but the service and amenities are excellent.
Upon arriving to this hotel, no one was at the desk to greet me. After waiting for some time, and hearing people in the backroom, laughing and talking, I finally yelled Hello which garnered the desired response, of bringing the lady from the back out to check me in. I was given no water or snack, as well as no run through of the hotel premises (i.e. gym, pool, elevators, etc...). The hotel was clean (other than some hair on the bathroom floor), and the room was well designed. The beds had bouncy coils and lacked sufficient cushion, but the pillows were nice. The main problem occurred on the 2nd night of our stay when I found out this hotel was a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, that meant a guest left their large dog unsupervised in the hotel room across from our room. A large dog, with a very large bark persisted in barking for several hours, late into the night, prohibiting me and my family from falling a sleep. The manager on duty did nothing to solve the problem, and did even less to show any compassion toward those inconvenienced by the problem. In addition, she offered nothing to help make up for the problem. This went on for several hours. When I asked to speak to her manager, she twice put me on never ending hold, until I just finally gave up in frustration, turned on the TV at high volume and put in ear plugs in an attempt to fall asleep. Not what you hope for from a Marriott experience...
Hey yall!l, this hotel is amazing. I stay at a bunch of Marriotts and courtyards for work and decided to stay here because it was close to the river. Best decision Ive made! So clean, spacious and everything u need. Marriott wants to consider this a 3 property but it scores way higher in my book. Like a 10! Stay here!! You will not regret it. They are great
I loved the hotel. Close to a lot of restaurants and stores. The room was comfy and clean. A/C worked amazing well. The only negative is, I would have liked the pool to have been open until 12 but we luckily had time to swim Saturday morning before my brothers wedding.
I had no power in the room excerpt for bathroom. Told front desk and over 2 nights no one came to fix it or tell me about it. No one offered to move me. Also the under window AC unit was so loud it woke me up every time it kicked on. This is not what Marriott is about.
Great location with easy access to hwy 35. I am a repeat guest at this property and it is quite responsive to mobile requests as well as recognizing Marriott Rewards Status. Their breakfast is Great, other amenities include outdoor heated pool which is great for a cool evening, a spacious fitness center with cardio / weights, and large amounts of secure parking with nearby restaurants that are open late. I highly reccomend booking a suite (worth its price) and its very spacious. Great for families or travelers that need to study / catch up on work, i found myself to be very productive during my stay! Thanks again for a wonderful experience Fairfield Staff!
Our experience at this parti hotel was a bit concerning as the toilet in the room was. It working in the room for at least 24 hrs. Along the telephone and some lights. When reported One of telephones were fixed but we were never informed until we were leaving.Bathroom had to be reported several times before resolved. Staff did not clean the mess made when fixing the the bathroom or lights. We paid higher than normal prices for a substandard room.
Our stay, though brief was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and accommodating when we asked for a room close to other family members staying there. We also appreciated our room was very quiet and we were able to get a good nights rest, as we were going to an early morning meeting. Overall our stay was very good and would recommend it.
Not gonna lie. After all of the reviews I read I thought I was going to have a much better experience here. The customer service was great but the actual rooms were a disappointment for two main reasons. The first being their outdated toilets. We stayed in three separate rooms and all three rooms had toilets that were difficult to flush. I confirmed with the front desk that the toilets are the same in every room. At first I thought the toilets just didnt flush but then I realized you have to press down really hard on the handle and even then I kept having to lift the top and play around with the handle to get it to flush in all of their bathrooms. Lastly, we bought pizza that we left on our desk for a few hours. Bad idea. Apparently they had an ant problem in which ants were everywhere and all over the desk. We killed as many as we could and threw away the pizza but it was gross. We let the front desk know and the switched us to another room and gave us extra Marriot rewards points. We switched to a second room in which the toilet was having issues and not working. There was no one on-site that could fix the issue so they had to switch us to a third room!!! The person that switched this room was unaware that we had already switched rooms until I made a comment about it. Overall the rooms are nice and the customer service was great. But the standard, hard to flush toilets and ants made our stay not so pleasant. They obviously are trying to get around fixing their toilets. We stayed in three different rooms and all three had a metal handle that was hard to flush and a toilet bowl that was slow to refill. Im would give 1-star but you could tell the employees were only doing what they could with what they were given and genuinely wanted to help. The physical hotel was the issue and not the employees.
Our family have used this Fairfield Inn for 2 different family gatherings in the past year. We had 20-25 members staying here. Making the arrangements for the block of rooms and the staff during the weekend were absolutely amazingly wonderful, helpful and caring. We used the dinning area to bring in food for family dinners, have fellowship and visit. The children had a wonderful time playing in the pool. The first weekend was for my Fathers 90th birthday celebration and the second was to celebrate my fathers life when he passed away. Both were incredible weekends.
This hotel is in a very great location. It’s a Walmart and a lot of restaurants around the area. My favorite thing about the room was the two different areas. I had my own TV and my kids had their own TV to play their game. Which made it easier and convenient for the both of us.
This hotel was awesome, very neat and clean, and the rooms were huge. I love the way the rooms are set up with a family separately from the bedroom, plus having a frig and microwave was great too, youll enjoy your rest on the nice mattresses too. I give this hotel 5 star rating for all areas...
Very rude guest services. The breakfast area was clean and variety of food to choose from. The matters on the sofa pull out was stained. One of the TV in the room wasnt working, and what hotel doesnt have cable Tv? The little fridge was loud and wasnt working. The Ac system was awesome actually. The bathtub wouldnt drain properly. It has two elevator but one wasnt working half the time! We were there for 2 days and it was disappointing. This was the second time we booked at Fairfield and the first time in a different location but we had an awesome stay there, thats why we paid the extra to get the same experience but it didnt turn out what we were hoping for.
Window unit style a/c, pillows are absolutely awful - all 8 of them....Inadequate towels & washcloths for the # of guests the 2-queen room supposedly accommodates - plan an extra trip to the front desk for towels—when you’re tired and ready for shower & sleep. Hallways & elevators not heated/cooled....suffocating in these areas.
This Fairfield Inn is conveniently located off of I-35, but far enough off of the access road so as to be quiet, and not affected by highway noise. The building is well maintained, and is clean. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The breakfast is good, both in quality and quantity. A great place to stay!
Overall the hotel it self is good. Staff doesn’t appreciate elite status but it is what it is. The room AC unit though, well that’s ridiculous. I’m a heavy sleeper and every time that unit came on I would wake up. That unit sounded like a lawn mower, how are guest suppose to sleep with a lawn mower running at night? I even placed the temperature high so it wouldn’t turn on at night.
I can see why this location has so many awards! The customer service and overall friendliness here is impeccable! Theyve got a pool, hot tub, fitness center and free breakfast! The emenities were all very clean. The only thing I would suggest, or wish was a little better is the breakfast..NO BACON :( Also, the eggs were a bit runny. But, everything else was above and beyond, even for a Marriott property. Anytime Im back in the San Antonio area, Ill be staying here!!!
I had stayed here before when I was in town to visit family, and I was here again this time for the same reason. If youre looking for a clean, comfortable hotel thats close to a lot without being in downtown San Antonio, this is a good choice. Its right off of 35, but the hotel is quiet, and theres a strip mall across the street with a bunch of stores, and plenty of options for food nearby. Plus, if youre going to the Natural Bridge Caverns and/or driving safari, this is a great location as its a pretty short drive there. Staff is friendly and helpful, too.
The hotel graciously accommodated 23 high school exchange students from around the world. We held a day long orientation for the students in their very nice meeting room. Hotel employees were very nice and helpful and the rooms were very nice and clean. The hotel made a great impression for these students just arriving in the US.
Max, front seat agent, was FANTASTIC! I arrived at the hotel after midnight and was unable to make the reservation on the app. As soon as i walked in Max was there and ready to help. He showed me how to make the reservation with my points (after midnight) and the rest he took care of on his end! He was incredibly helpful and genuine. The beds and pillows are wonderful! Breakfast was delicious!
My family and I got a great big Suite with 2 TVs. The people at the front desk are very nice. There is a small free breakfast area and it doesnt have as many options as other Fairfield Inns. Thank you for the service! There is also no indoor pool. If it is cold outside, you would not want to swim outside. A lot of Fairfield Inns have indoor pools. Those 2 things are why I gave it 4 stars.
We had a wonderful experience here. Everything was in wonderful working order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Was concerned we were right on the highway, but there wasn’t a lot of noise. Great selection of places to eat within walking distance. Will definitely stay here next time we come this way in the fall.
Stayed for two nights last weekend (Jan 2018); the bed was comfy, great air conditioning unit (not too loud and still effective), acceptable breakfast (hot and cold foods available), good sized, clean room and bathroom for two adults. Very pleased to report that they have blackout curtains, which can literally make or break a trip away for me!Wi-Fi did not work, but as we were there for leisure it was not the end of the world; good cell service is available in the area.Absolutely would stay again.
We stayed here to have quick access to San Antonio downtown in the South West and Caverns to the West. This place is a few miles South of New Braunfels, but I found that helpful in reducing traffic flow. San Marcos malls are about 20 - 25 min North so location was ideal. Rooms are clean and hallways always well lit. Pleasantly surprised to see a decent sized dining area though the flow of food was a little confusing. Only suggestions would be for hotel to inspect wallpaper from time to time to fix peeling and reset clocks for DST. We had fun and if the staff learnt more about the various attractions around, they can become [good to] great brand ambassadors.
The location of this Fairfield inn is perfect. Just off the interstate but not too close to hear the noise. There is an HEB across the street you can walk to as well as plenty of place to eat nearby. This in the perfect stop to stop, you are close to the outlets and other shops if you want as well as close to San Antonio, though not so close that you have to worry about them. The property itself is well kept, clean and comfortable. Overall a great place to stay.
On of the top Fairfield Inn & Suites brand hotels I have visited. The staff always works to ensure your stay is going great. This is possibly my 6th stay at this location and it is always a great experience. I am happy to have gotten my Marriott Rewards credit card to achieve an elite status, I have realized that it enhances my stay.
We stayed for soccer tournament our son played. The hotel good location to the soccer fields. Plenty places to within walking distance across parking lot and many of places within less the 2 mi from hotel. The room was clean and decent size for our needs with all our soccer gear.
The hotel was very busy however I still felt like a priority. Any problems I ran into were fixed immediately. The staff was very friendly. There are also a variety of restaurants within walking distance and a Walmart and H-E-B very close by. I will continue to stay at this hotel whenever I am in this area.
This was a clean hotel and up to date. The staff was friendly and helpful. And this is an excellent location near interstate and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. I usually have trouble getting a good nights rest at hotels. But at this hotel I rested very well.
There are other hotels in the area not very far away that are worth your money over this one. There were several issues of cleanliness, customer service, ran out of food, rudeness and other related issues we experienced during our stay. Marriott strongly disappoints.
Great stay overall, which I find to be pretty standard for the Marriott line of hotels. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous, helping us deal with an erroneous charge, even after we checked out. The beds were comfortable and sufficiently large. The location is a little out of San Antonio, but theres a good deal of parking and the rates are cheaper to compensate.
We came to Schertz for a wedding over in Gruene. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because they offer a military discount. We have many members of our family who have served in the armed services. I was very pleased with the service and the cleanliness of the hotel. Every area was well taken care of. The staff were friendly and hard working.
This hotel has some good and some bad.Bad:1. Breakfast tasted horrible.2. Beds were awful and worn out.3. The elevators smelled.4. Parking was bad.5. Staff are very inattentive and slightly rude.Good:1. Suite was nicely arranged.2. Location to attractions and surrounding shopping is good.3. Over appearance was fine. (Unfortunately appearance isnt everything).
The Fairfield Inn NE San Antonio was a great place to stay. We loved the location. We were visiting family in San Antonio as well as going to Schlitterbahn so this was a perfect location for us to be close to both. My son loved playing in the pool and had a great time during our stay. We had a problem with noise one night but the staff was quick to help resolve the issue and were very helpful. Loved our stay and would recommend this place to our friends and family!
The stay was great and then as we were leaving the next day we were pleasantly surprised to see tamales on the breakfast bar. They were a fantastic touch and were obviously homemade by the staff. I stay in a lot of hotels through the course of a year and this one was one of the best!
Im usually a Martiott fan but this hotel was not up to par. Elevator and breakfast area had a nasty smell. I couldnt even eat breakfast because the smell was sickening. Overall this place didnt seem clean. Not many nice places to eat nearby. Only fast food. At least thats all the front desk could recommend.
Checked my daughter into her online schools STAAR test for the day. Super friendly staff at the front desk were very polite and engaged my 11 month old son while we waited to get my daughter into the testing room. Clean areas everywhere we walked. Friendly staff greeted us when they came by. I was very impressed.
Our group stays at this hotel for our annual golf/soccer Cinco de Mayo trip. Being right off of 35 N makes easy access to both San Antonio or New Braunfels. This property has always been extremely well maintained and the staff seems to have pride in providing service. A good option for our group as it is close to the soccer fields in Schertz.
They have really nice breakfast and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that went wrong was I woke up with a bunch on lady bugs or Asian beetles in my ceiling. I dont know how they got in,maybe they need better instillation or something. They moved me quickly but other than that I had a ok stay.
Hotel was nice, staff was great. Only down side was the distance from downtown San Antonio, about 20-25 minutes (or a $100 Uber ride during the Final Four). But if you want a nice place out of the bustle of downtown or you are visiting when there is no Uber surge pricing, this is a great option.
The location is nice. Pretty close to main highway. Staff was courteous. We visited Natural Bridge Caverns and were looking for a nice place to stay in night before leaving early morning for next site seeing. This hotel was perfect place near to Natural Bridge Caverns with comfortable stay.
The hot breakfast is kept clean and constantly refilled. You have 24 hour coffee and tea with a variety of flavored creamers. You have iced lemon water available also, much needed due to the humidity. The Fitness area has everything you need to maintain your exercise routine. The hotel is in the middle of shopping with many restaurants, Walmart, HEB grocery store, and liquor/wine/beer stores. Access to water parks, River Walk and other San Antonio sites is easy to get to via 35 north and 35 south easy access from the hotel. The updated self climate control in each room makes your room comfortable at all times. My return to San Antonio I will stay here again!
Would highly recommend anyone traveling to check out Fairfield Inn & Suites San Antonio NE/SchertzRooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable.Hot breakfast is very good. Made by the employees with love.Hotel was beautiful and kept very clean.People working for the hotel were very nice.
We were getting away for the weekend and had stayed at this location before. We enjoyed the nice comfy room and really nice shower. The breakfast are was very nice and had a nice verity of breakfast items. We enjoyed the breakfast tacos, and eggs and sausage. A really nice place to stay.
The hotel satisfied and/or exceeded expectations in all the basic requirements for a quality experience. It was quiet, comfortable beds, clean and large bathroom, high quality and good selection at breakfast, helpful courteous staff, good location, safe neighborhood, wifi Price was quite reasonable considering the quality of the hotel.
Our needs & expectations at the Schertz Fairfied were met. We usually do not require special services. The location isgreat (like most Marriott Hotels). I do not agree that this location requires 15,000 Rewards Points. I booked a week inadvance and was not able to use my points. Having said this, we have been a Marriott Card holder for many years andhave stayed at Marriott Hotels for many years. AND, we will continue to do so.
I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasnt for housekeeping. Came in at 2am. Was told checkout was at noon, so why are they knocking on my door at 10:45 and then again at 11. I told the housekeeper we were leaving in a minute, and not 5 minutes later the manager came barging in the room basically kicking us out. Saying how she was the housekeeping manager and it was noon already and we had to leave. It wasnt noon yet. We travel a lot for work and sleep is crucial. Wont be staying at Fairfield in Schertz anymore. All other branches of Marriot have never done this before. Its disappointing. Thumbs down.
My double bed room was given away. Gave me a King with a pull out couch. Person in line behind me and several other people in the group i was with got double beds after i checked in...room was dirty. Bathroom floor dirty. Towels had hair on them. Shower curtain had stains. Couch cushion had stains. I was grossed out. Gagged a couple times. Will never stay again. If you like clean hotels dont stay here.

2022-04-11The rooms are decent size and are quiet. The hotel has plenty of parking and there are many restaurants and fast food places around the area. The staff were very nice and attentive. Sarah, at the front desk, was very helpful. The hotel was full on a weekend so dont be surprised by the amount of people staying here.

2022-02-20Very clean, nice hotel, amazing staff. In town for a friends military promotion ceremony. When we wanted to get some family together in the breakfast area for pizza, the bent over backwards. The staff put our drinks in the employee fridge then brought us plates, napkins and cups.

2022-03-13Came down with a girls soccer team. Had about 20 rooms booked and was told they would acomidatate. Day staff was very attentive. Night manager was an a$$. Came down for a soccer weekend. Day staff allowed us to use common area. We cleaned up no problem. Night guy came on with attitude. We still cleaned up and made sure no disruption to other guests. Next night 4 of us were in common area and night guy kicked us out. I will never stay here again and will recommend no one with a big group ever book here. Night guy is a complete a$$. Told us we were loud and had to close the common area. I stayed on first floor. He then turned the lights out and music on so loud that i had to be an a$$ my self and complainSame guy.

2022-04-14THIS is one of The worst Hotels I ve stayed in , in recent months!! The plumbing is aweful!and it has some toxic smells coming from the sink in one room I stayed in. I stayed multiple days for work!!Its old and decrepit the floors are uneven! My car was vandalized while staying there!!! THEY ABSOLUTELY ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES NOR DO THEY PROVIDE ANY SECURITY!! THE STAFF HAS very unprofessional demeanor, at least one front desk clerk. This is a very horrible hotel , plus the lobby always smell of smoke. The towels are very very dingy and very poor quality......

2022-05-21Very disappointed! Not what I expected. The room was out dated, the breakfast was horrible. I booked a five day stay and they said that they were only going to cleaned the room twice. And to top it all off they over charged me an additional night. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Ever!!! 😖

2022-06-26Strongly suggest to stay clear of this hotel. From a time consuming check-in to horrible customer service with “Roland” as well as overcharged three times the price I locked in at. I was never told about incidentals, so that was an additional charge too. Just a horrible experience at this location. I kept getting bank notifications tell 3 am about charges from them. My anxiety was out the window dealing with this location.

2021-07-27Recently stayed for 12 nights with the military. Outstanding staff who consistently went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible, both at the front desk and with the hot breakfast. Would have appreciated housekeeping services more frequently, but industry-wide hiring challenges have resulted in the hotel being short-staffed. Housekeepers were working into the evening. I especially appreciated Sarah and Alurena (front desk) and Veronica (breakfast). Will definitely return!

2022-06-02Had to wait about 45 minutes to get checked in. Didn’t have body wash or shampoo in shower. Other wise I always like staying there.

2021-09-01Nice property. Well kept. Staff was incredibly awesome! Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Bed was a bit saggy for my liking but that is a personal preference. Breakfast was satisfying. Communal spaces clean, well decorated and maintained.

2021-10-12This is one of the best Fairfield Inn & Suites we have visited. The staff were friendly and exceptional. The breakfast menu was also exceptional good and it is in a great location avoiding most of not all the traffic jams around San Antonio/Schertz, Texas. The rooms are exceptional clean and well maintained.
