The hotel itself was very good, quiet, and staff were friendly and helpful. Only reason not giving 5 stars was because of the reservation process. Attended wedding where they had negotiated a discounted rate for Saturday night. We were arriving a day earlier. When we tried to add Friday night it removed the discount for Saturday night. Called national reservation line and hotel itself but nobody could fix it. Had to have 2 reservations in order to get Saturday discount. Had to recheck in Saturday morning and get keys re-keyed. Didnt have to change rooms at least. I expected more from Hilton.
If i could give a 10+, I would! Excellent staff, bar none. Every single staff member was friendly, accommodating & truly concerned w/our well-being. Hot breakfast good, biscuits & gravy, Eckrich sausage links along w/sweet breads/muffins and more. Rooms comfy, lots of channels. AC worked great! Good shower. Military rate gave us a cheap price for 2 queens for this wonderful hotel, absolutely unbelievable. We r diamond members & frequently travel the US, so we know good service. Trucker parking at convention center next parking lot over, can get tricky. Doubles/triples may be better off parking on road across field, as convention center lot can fill up, be careful. So happy here.🙂
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Room was very nice and clean. Bed very comfortable. The sink in the bathroom was draining slow, it was fixed the day I mentioned it. The indoor pool sadly was cold due to the heating element being broken and was on order. The breakfast was plentiful and good. There was coffee available all day in the lobby. I had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. I would have given 5 stars if the pool was warm
Had a reservation and became sick. I spent most of the day on hold and being bounced around to other people that could not help me. I have no idea what is going on at this hotel. I spend about 200 days a year in hotels and I will drive 100 miles out my way to stay at a different location.
Stayed here recently for a week, and while the staff and service were great, the hotel is very outdated. The carpeting is old, worn and loose in many places, there is black mold in the bathrooms with no vents, dated interiors and furniture. Saw several cockroaches running in the halls as well. This place needs a renovation and lots of tlc. The pool was ok, hot tub timer was broken and didnt smell too great.Location is great, breakfast was good, Hilton please send this hotel some help.
Hotel failed to enforce any sort of masking policy in the common areas and equally failed to implement Hiltons published COVID-19 health and safety measures. I know it is Texas but the hotel is a private business and Hilton has responsibility for the health and safety of guests and staff. We wont stay in this hotel again.
The room was clean and the staff friendly. However, the hotel does show signs of wear and is outdated. The shower had rust stains from the support handle .Also, we had a king bed, but we had 4 small pillows, not even a standard size. The cleaning of the room had been well done. It was fresh smelling.
Hotel was clean and seemed up to date. The staff was friendly. But when the wether is supposed to get down to 34 degrees, and the heater in your room wont work, this is NOT GOOD! Their maintenance man has phone turned off and they say they are sold out. Trying to decide if we dare try to stay the night. Very disappointing.
Nice clean large suite. The check in staff was friendly. My only complaint is that the employee at the breakfast area was really gazing at us to the point of uncomfortability. Its almost like she wanted to confirm we were authorized to be there. My sister said something to her so she finally walked away.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel...No king size bed was available due to bookings (Fathers Day) thus we accepted a double bed room based on a cancellation...Hallways were warm! Our room A/C cycled on and off most of the night which was noticeable...Hotel staff were friendly and helpful...The breakfast was good... Thanks...
My family and I were recently visiting Texas and stopped in late one evening at the Waxahatchee Hampton Inn. Emily waited on us, letting us know they were booked up. We went next door to the other hotel. That attendant was also telling us they had no vacancies when Emily ran through the door letting us know they had a cancellation. She ran across the parking lot to catch us!! We ended up with a nice suite and were VERY pleased with all accommodations! Can’t ask for someone to be any more accommodating than someone that will run you down to serve you! 😊
🚩Honestly never even got to stay at this Hampton Inn because a little girl at the front desk was so rude to us it was on believable! We are diamond members of Hilton honors and have stayed at hundreds to thousands of Hilton properties all over the country and even after spending thousands and thousands of dollars at the Hilton properties this little girl was so disrespectful us! Told us even though she had our bank card information she couldn’t reserve a room for us we have never heard of such a thing! There was no management there and would not be for days….Very poorly run Hampton inn! Called Hilton honors But got no help! So just a heads up you might want to stay at some other property and get rid of the Hilton Honors because that’s what we’re gonna do! One of the worst Hampton inn experiences we’ve ever had in years!
Walking into the hotel I was relieved - clean and in good repair. That quickly changed when we got to our room and continued over the following three nights - this place needs major work.I immediately noticed the curtains were water stained walking into the room. Not a huge deal. It was apparent they had some sort of water leak as the ceiling had cracks and a shoddy repair job. There was an unknown substance drip on the wall that was obvious to housekeeping but nobody bothered to clean it. The carpet was torn, the office chair didn’t work, and there was brown stuff on the shades. The second night there was a storm that caused water to come in through the window. The final day, BUGS. A live earwig on our bed and some unknown larger dead insects I found in the floor by the couch. The pool. We booked this place since it was the only hotel with an indoor pool and we wanted a place for our kids to have fun. The pool water was cold, the hot tub was warm but was greenish/brown water, and there was obvious mold growing on a furniture cover in the pool area. While waiting in the lobby, a pest company arrived to spray a room. Get this - the room was rented but the guests were away. The manager permitted him to spray WHILE the guests were gone! I wouldn’t appreciate a pest company spraying while my belongings were inside. The housekeeping staff did a good job cleaning the room and common areas and the breakfast was good, but this hotel needs some major work.I used the fitness room. There was also water damage to the ceiling there too, the treadmill randomly shut off while I was running, and the weighted medicine ball was torn and empty (not weighted).I voiced my concerns to an employee who said she would share my concerns with the manager but I never heard from the manager. The employee said the water damage was from the jacuzzi upstairs - she was right because we could hear it loudly running above our room when we were trying to sleep.Another guest we ran into said she was a frequent traveler at Hampton Inn hotels and said this was the worst she had visited.I contacted the corporate office and eventually received a partial credit for my room. Check out the photos and do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. There was a Fairfield across the street but we didn’t go inside - will likely stay there next time.
Newish hotel, great service and hospitality! Highly recommend for Scarborough Faire visitors. Emily is freaking amazing, she helped so much. She helped everyone with towels and blankets and handled every request with grace and a wonderful attitude. She learned names and how people were connected, to help organize and track who was coming in and out. Sarah was an awesome night manager, keeping coffee hot and the hotel in great shape. I have stayed at many Hampton Inns, theyve all been good but the personal service really made this hotel stand out. Love and will return!!
If you need a good nights sleep this is the perfect place. Very quiet. Super clean environment. Excellent staff, friendly, attentive and quick to meet your needs. Indoor pool, cardio machines and some weights for a light workout. Great sack breakfasts and coffee included with stay. Also hot breakfast.
The place is not really bad but it seems when asking a simple question regarding housekeeping for your room, the Mgr on duty if thats who she was; seems to get defensive. I asked if my room could be made up and it all went downhill from there. I was traveling to visit a sick relative and had just gotten in from 18 hrs of driving.. The young lady at check in was very polite and when I checked out at 4:30 AM on 5/17/21 that young lady was also very sweet and on point. Would I stay there again? Not sure. I tend to have no tolerance for certain attitudes and choose not to deal with them. We will just say Id keep it on my list but not my first choice.
What a wonderful hotel experience. Brought a group here as we pass through on a tour, and as a driver this was one comfortable place. Room was spacious & clean. Breakfast was as expected and they serve you due to COVID-19.Absolutely no complaints from this motorcoach operator 😎
Wonderful front desk staff. Clean rooms. Only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because I slept in when my husband went down for breakfast and even though the do not disturb sign was up housekeeping started to come in the room. It was startling to wake up and hear a strangers voice. As soon as I said someone was in there they apologized and closed the door. Again, everything else was great.
Staff needs proper training on how to treat customers. People shouldnt be treated like they can not read and they shouldnt have to explain private medical conditions that prevent them from wearing a mask they try to give you. Being called out in front of other customers is absolutely rude and completely unwelcoming. The only reason I had to walk down to the lobby was to get clean linens because the ones on my bed were not changed from the previous guests.Ill happily never stay here again since the staff cant treat customers with respect and completely fail to actually change the linens.Do you really think that after a long day, people want to change their own bedding and be treated like theyre a leper?
I dont like leaving negative reviews, but its worth knowing what youre getting yourself into when nicer and competitively priced options are available.Pros:-Pleasant staff-Great locationCons:-Musty and humid room-Damp carpet-Sloooow draining showers-Outlets that wont hold a phone chargerPersonal dislikes:-Extra firm beds-Limited room lighting
This was a great place to stay in this area. The rooms r starting to be outdated but are clean and well taken care of. The part i like the most was the staff. They r very friendly and they either refer to each other as family or they r family. Due to COV ID 19. They quickly prepare ur plate for breakfast for what u ask for. They also come around take the empty plates off of the table if u r finished and just talking to family. I have been to restaurants that didnt have that good of service. Checkout was quick and we were back on the road.
We are having the most amazing stay. Emily was absolutely hands down amazing from check in, to needing shampoo, just being kind and friendly, and being over all excellent! She made our stay.. The room is clean, smells great, and comfortable. The kids enjoyed the pool alot. We will be back for another stay-cation. Great job Hampton Inn, you guys rock.
We had a great experience at this hotel. we checked in online and when we arrived it was an easy matter to get our room keys. The rooms were clean and the decor was modern. We were able to take advantage of the breakfast the next morning, which included omelettes, sausage, and potatoes, as well as other offerings such as oatmeal and cereal. Id definitely stay here again.
Checkin was 3, arrived at 5:30 room wasnt ready, then bathroom had a horrible odor, desk said someone would come check the drain, that never happen...otherwise room was nice, comfortable, breakfast was good, hats off for the excellent, pleasant service preparing our plates😊 great hotel.
Exceptional Clean and sanitized Hampton Inn!I travel often for business and this Hilton location has friendly staff with refreshingly clean rooms and other areas.Close to downtown yet not too close .An amazing variety of restaurants and shopping close.I highly recommend this Hilton Hampton Inn
Clean hotel, nice amenities. It is what you would expect from a Hampton Inn. The thing that set this one apart is their staff, they were wonderful! Passing someone in the hallway, you had a friendly hello, enjoy your day! Front desk staff was courteous. The absolute best staff member, though, is the lady who works in the breakfast room. She was just amazing with our children, she helped out guests by providing trays or a helping hand when needed. She truly exceeded expectations and made our stay very memorable.
Overall clean place, nice suite as accommodation. Remodeling breakfast area during stay , almost finished, attendant did apologize for convenience. Disliked vacuuming lobby area carpets while having breakfast, should wait till guests have cleared dining area before this daily task is undertaken. I would recommend as place to stop along I-35.
I stay at this hotel pretty regularly with work. The rooms are clean, decently sized, and the staff are very helpful to any requests. Breakfast is standard fare; cereal, waffles, eggs, fruit, yogurt and pastries. The fitness center leaves a little too be desired, but its functional. I havent had the opportunity to use the indoor pool, but it looks alright. Love the warm cookies waiting for me at reception each night. One downside of the location is that there is no way to walk anywhere from the hotel. Its adjacent to the highway, and there are no sidewalks nearby, so every trip is a drive.
During our stay, we found the room very clean, very confortable bed, front desk personnel very attentive. But as we tried to get some sleep during the night, we constantly heard people talking and closing doors (seems like all night) from every direction. We didnt get a good night sleep because of the noise. Seems they built the walls and ceilings using standard residential materials and no using sound=proof materials for a hotel.
By far the worst customer service. I work in retail pharmacy as a supervisor so I know lots about customer service. My family and I drove 7 hours through the night with the anticipation that we would have a hotel room when we arrived. We had already prepaid. They marked us as no show because we arrived early the next morning 0355. When I reserved the room, I expected that it was reserved for me and it was my room until 11 AM(check out time) the next morning. I had to pay full price for another room just to have it for 7 hours. I will never do service with Hampton or any of its affiliates again.
The hotel was very nice overall, but even my GPS had some difficulty getting to it from the highway (it was a bit convoluted). Nice, clean room, comfy bed, and the digital key is a gift from above! The included hot breakfast the next morning was very good as well. Ill stay here again!
Staff were really friendly and professional. TV in our room wasnt that great. Pool was Ok and jacuzzi wasnt very hot. : Hopefully, the breakfast wont disappoint. Really wanted a room on 1st floor, but 2nd floor wasnt bad. It was close to the ice machine and elevator which was nice. I expected them to offer cookies, but never offered any amenities...so we spent 15.00 on their junk by the front desk which wasnt worth it. 😐
The room is nice.. but they really need to do a better job at keeping up on maintenance the carpet by the jacuzzi tub is peeling up and by the bathroom. I brought my children there and my daughter found bobby pins on the floor almost choked on them so needless to say they need to find new housekeepers not sure if I would recommend this to others or stay here again for the price I paid they need to have the rooms up to standard in my opinion... I will be making a call to corporate
People were really nice at the front desk. Other than that... it was not a good experience. Loud noises above me, bathroom was not up to standards, and spa/pool area was not very nice. The workout room was way too small, only one treadmill, and the 10 lb weights were missing. Also I had personal belongings stolen from my room while I was gone during the day.
I wish we wouldve known the pool was shut down for repairs, but it is still a great hotel! They have the friendliest staff of any hotel Ive stayed at. Their breakfast is great for a hotel. Their rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. I will stay here Everytime I am in the area.
Worked with this hotel for my daughters wedding. We had several guests coming in from out of state and needed to block a large group of rooms. Worked with Dan who was accommodating and pleasant to work with. We made welcome bags for our guest and when I delivered them to the hotel a few days in front - Jess Colin - Assistant Manager - stole the show. She went above and beyond to make sure that our bags would reach our guest. Was very pleasant and patient with my questions and proceeded to note files and further explain that she would be on deck the day that most of our guest would be checking in and that she would personally make sure these were handled appropriately. What an asset to your team there! Jess, Dan & team at Hampton Inn & Suites - Thank you for making it so easy for us!
We chose this hotel because of the indoor pool and hot tub and because we hear good things about it. But the heat element in hot tub is out and the pool was so hot you couldnt stay in it more than 5 minutes. We did not enjoy our stay at all. The people were really nice and the rooms were clean. We only get to rent a room for the weekend about once or twice a year. This was a waste and we checked out a day early. The pool was still way too hot. There is a difference in a heated pool and a pool that is hotter than your bath water or a hot tub.
Kind of difficult to find and get to. Great parking. Room was ok. Check in was a little strange. I was a walk in customer and there were rooms available so I took one. When asked about the rate it was stated at $99.00. I accepted, signed on the line, and did not read all the fine print. When my credit card was accepted the total was $125.00. I asked how we arrived at that total and the lady told me it was the added amenities. I asked her what that was, and she said dont worry it will be deducted when you check out. I entered room and looked around and found no stocked bar or snack box, so I returned to desk and asked her to repeat what the amenities thing meant. She replied that all Hampton Inns do this(which is not true as I have stayed at others recently). When asked what they were charging me extra for she told me , like if a towel was missing or we trashed the room! When I checked out my invoice stated my card had been debited for $111.00 or $99.00 plus taxes! The morning desk clerk also stated something similar about the extra fees, but had no idea how it worked. I asked him how he knew we had not taken a towel or trashed the room at that moment? He had no response. Breakfast was great, dining lady was very friendly. Not sure about whether I will stay at Hampton Inn again. Just a note to say I read in the USA today paper provided by the hotel that had a large article on how hotels are scamming people out of extra fees using the exact story that I had encountered.
The location was great. Just down the road to our destination as well as restaurants. The noise level throughout the night was appalling. We had cockroaches in our room, which did not sit well with our daughters. Great service through ZenHotels, However we won’t be back to this location due to the disappointment.
The location was great. Close to food places and 5 minutes from the softball fields we were playing at. The front desk was very friendly and helpful, and the ladies working the breakfast area, especially one, was very helpful and kind going above and beyond. The rates were also good for the services provided.
Disappointed this time. Rug in front of the door to the room was dirty. The bathroom wasnt up to Hampton Inn Standards. I found dirty wash cloths on the bar that held the shower curtain. This bathroom appeared to be remodeled but the tub wasnt new and simply not what Im used to at Hampton Inn. The light covers in the work out room need cleaned in the worst way; I dont know if they are bugs but whatever is in those covers looks like bugs. Staff was friendly and accommodating as always but the property was perhaps in the poorest shape Ive ever seen a Hampton Inn.
As soon as we walked in the pool area, there was a feral cat sitting on the lawn chair and the sliding glass door was wide open. We a smelled cat urine on our way out. I told the lady at the front desk and she replied “We know. We’ve been trying to get rid of it.” Obviously they weren’t trying hard enough if the door was wide open. Also, this place has the dirtiest hot tub I’ve ever seen. I turned the jets on for less than a minute and it was already flowing over the sides with foam, and as soon as I turned it on it started to stink. We hopped out immeadietely and went back to our room and showered. In case you’re reading this and unaware, foam in hot tubs consists of dirt, dust, dead skin, and body oils. Disgusting. Skip the pools.
The hotel itself was very nice and clean. However the pool smelled bad and looked like there wasnt any kind of filtration system to it and had mosquitos in it biting everyone in the pool. Also, (and this is the biggest reason im giving it 3 stars instead of 5) when you book a room tbey tell you to put the fee plus a fee for destruction if you get crazy and tell you that it wont come out of your bank account when it most certainly does. They wait 3-5 business days to give you your money back as well. So in all, its a good place to stay a night. Just avoid the pool and make sure you can afford to have money on hold for a few days. Also worth mentioning is a very good continental breakfast every morning from 6-10 which is much longer then most hotels have.
Nice hotel, clean rooms and comfy beds. The only complaint is the floors are not level! The hallway trips you with holes under the carpet and the shower floor creaks which you can hear in the floor below. Breakfast is included, it only consists of a few cereals, yogurt and waffles.
Decent hotel but the carpets, mattresses and especially pillows could use a good steam cleaning.(same could be said for most hotels). The business center has a horrendous musty odor. Probably from some really stinky guests, but the odor was trapped in there since yesterday. It should have been aired out and deodorized. I went in to use the printer this morning, but could only last 15 seconds before running out for fresh air. The door to the laundry room is broken. Something wrong with the latching mechanism. Have to swipe several times before it unlocks.
We stayed in the king jacuzzi suite and it was nice room. The bed was very comfortable. The tub was nice and big. My only complaints are that we went to put our drinks in the mini fridge and it wasnt turned on. We turned it on and put our drinks in there. Woke up and the drinks werent cold at all. So we had to go buy more drinks that were cold. There was 2 outlets in the bathroom and one of them didnt work. We checked out and told them about these issues and we got an Im sorry about that, we will address the issue. Im paying a lot of money for a nice room, I want EVERYTHING working. I feel like our stay should have been discounted but it was not. I wasnt happy with his response. I shouldnt have to ask for my room to be discounted.
Couldnt check in early when I had previously requested it, and we couldnt even utilize the pool while we waited to check in, we were told you have to check in to use the pool. When we were finally able to check in, didnt get the room we originally booked cuz they werent available as adjoining rooms, when I even called and made sure they were. Once in the rooms, the adjoining door was SOOOOO hard to open, the shower needed some upgrading, door was off track and knob for shower needed to be fixed. Lastly we asked for late check out so kids could swim a little more before departure and when we finished and went to our room at 10 (mind u late check out was at 12) the key card wouldnt work! So had to go back to front desk, get card reactivaed and then back up to the room with 3 kids!Only positive was the indoor pool was a decent temp so the kids enjoyed that.
We had the best experience at your hotel. Carlos,Jessica,Courtney, Miss P., Miss Janet and Zach, were amazing. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Everyone from the housekeeping to the gentleman sweeping the grounds. You have an amazing staff and we will be visiting Hampton in in the future.
Price is worth it. Quite and ok customer service. One nights stay so I didnt report it but the room had a funky odor. This place is old and outdated. The fitness area is filthy, broken equipment, medicine ball torn up and hidden in a corner plus nothing to wipe down /disinfect the stuff with yuck! Breakfast was ok. This location is sub par to almost every other location I stay at across North America primarily because they have not taken the time to do any renovations.
Staff was courteous even though they were a tad slow on helping us with our reservation. Honestly why is there not a place to checkin without the assistance of a clerk. You can check into a flight automatically but not hotels still. Doesnt make much sense. Nevertheless the room was great and sanitary along with a fun and inviting hot tub/pool area. Beautiful gazebo just outside to sit and chat while cooling off also. Housekeepers were attentitive and helpful along with courteous regarding my privacy. Shower and bath were clean with no risidue from previous guests. Cool room with working television and remote but there were 10 or so channels that came in fuzzy. It would be nice to have access to netflix or a roku but those will come in time. Morning breakfast was nice and more than typical continental breakfasts but coffee was scorching hot and had to wait a while for it to cool down. Nothing too dissapointing, 10/10 would visit again!
The staff has been very nice so far, however, the ac/heater didnt seem to work (luckily it is fall weather so we havent been bothered to much by it), the pillows are like half the size of a normal pillow, and the room is just kind of drab....breakfast is always good at any of the hiltons though.
Ive stayed at this Hampton with some frequency over the past six years, and barring one bad interaction with hotel management have had my expectations met. Location is relatively strange Getting there is not super intuitive, and theres really nothing to eat or drink within walking distance. Rooms are fine, as is the large breakfast area. Staff is largely friendly and welcoming.
Hampton Inn in Waxahachie is really a great hotel. You really get a nice room with amenities for what you pay. The location of the hotel was perfect for me and not hard to find. Ive stayed in 2 different Hampton Inns and they were both first class. Really a great value and experience.
Expected more from a hilton line giving that the room rates were about the same as some of the hiltons higher star hotels. The rooms were small, which the ac didnt work, but we were able to move rooms in the middle of our stay (a pain to pack up and move but glad something was done to accommodate us to a room with a working ac).
The customer service horrible.. I called in week in advance that the reservation was made by mistake on wrong day...what we just find out on the spot. They did not find us a room and they did not want to cancel the future reservation. According to them we got the best price what was not true. I try explain the supervisor on the line that since they dont have accommodation for us it would be fair for them to cancel it and not charge us especially that they have chance to resale it. The customer service people were not helpful and definitely outsource from the hotel itself. In 21 centry were there is so much of the competition this hotel is too good for its own good. I would not recommend this place for anybody.
Overall our stay was good however I reserved our room with Travelocity for 84$ a night. Surprise surprise when we showed up the hotel claims they have no record of the reservation. So I got a room at the regular rate of 109 per night. Then when I get home I see a 95 dollar charge from the hotel in February, a full three weeks before we went to Texas. I called and talked to a manager Suny who claims that he is the only manager at that hotel. He agreed to call Travelocity and call me back to check what my reservation dates were. So I waited about 2 hours and did not hear back so I called Suny again. He said Travelocity had the dates of my stay correct and the mistake was on the hotels end. He agreed to refund the 95 dollar charge for the stay in Feb which was never scheduled in the first place but said he couldnt honor the price of 84 per night I was promised. So he admitted the mistake was the hotels but wouldnt fix it. Not very good customer service if you ask me. Please be careful if you book a room through a third party. I suspect they are doing this alot to attract business and then not honoring the cheaper rate.
Still mad about my stay a month later! I was completely DUPED by this Hampton Inn, enough so that I will NEVER stay at another one again, and may even quit anything related to Hilton. I booked a room which was for the wrong night. Arrived a day later when I believed my reservation. Thankfully they credited me for the wrong night, but that was the only good thing as far as I am concerned. When I asked about staying the night I needed, the price jumped up. I had traveled 400+ miles with three small children and it was close to 10pm. I was scared to get back on the road. I took the room at $119. The whole attitude from the front desk was that they were doing me a favor and it was the cheapest rate. I looked online upstairs and there the same rate for the night before was, a rate of $89. I know its not that much, but it was the whole scenario. When I asked the manager about the next morning, I was told that I should have stood there with my three kids and booked it online in the lobby then. WOW. Then the breakfast. There is enough styro plates to fill a landfill and the product was mediocre at best. There must be some recycling going on for Petes sake. Ive given myself a month, and Im still upset. I have had two opportunities on business trips to book with Hampton Inn, and have opted not to. Im finished. Pitiful.............for the sake of $30 plus tax they have lost me, my family, and anyone I come in contact with.
Typical Hampton in terms of rooms, amenities, breakfast, etc. Staff is friendly. My major issue is Wifi. Even with Diamond status and complimentary premium access, it just plain sucks. Been staying here for years and it never gets better. Intermittent connectivity (I lose connection several times an hour) and when connected its slow. Never have this issue in other Hamptons, which I stay in quite often. Really a bummer when reliable internet should be a given.Update: 5 months later and same poor WiFi performance. Good fast connection one minute, no internet the next. Save yourself the hassle and go to the brand new Fairfield next door. Thats where this long time Hilton guest will be next trip.

2022-06-10This was a pleasant stay serving a great purpose! The breakfast attendant was phenomenal! I wish we could remember her name, she was so sweet and kind to our family. Check-in was smooth and seemless, the Business Center was convenient, and the snack shop a treat! A big thanks to housekeeping for keeping the clean bath linens coming! It was a stark contrast to the young lady who worked the nights of our stay, who seemed irritated that guests would have a request. We did encounter a slight problem with room keys, the electronic key on the App would nullify the physical key cards. The desk agent seemed to be annoyed with the request to reactivate the physical cards.Thankfully, her disposition did not have a lasting effect on our overall stay.Thank you for accommodating the needs of so many of the 5,000 extras for the recreation of one of the greatest miracles in history! Be sure to get The Chosen App to catch up on seasons 1 & 2 before season 3 comes out later this year!May God bless and keep you all!

2022-01-29A good hotel in the Waxahachie, this Hampton is clean and quiet. Furnishings are beginning to show their age, but are in clean condition. The morning breakfast staff are some of the friendliest and most attentive Ive ever seen. The front staff are friendly and helpful with suggestions. And my housekeeper was very friendly and efficient. A good choice overall for a business trip.

2022-06-19The staff blew me away. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly, and traveled with our 2 year old “puppy” for the first time. He was incredibly anxious and couldn’t settle. My husband and I were so concerned he was keeping other guests awake, we stayed up trying to soothe him. We ended up checking out early because we felt so bad for our dog and the noise he was causing potentially disrupting other guests. We expected to pay our bill in full. Also, it turns out I failed to notify the hotel that a pet was with us. Jess, from the front was so understanding and caring. We left in such a hurry we left items behind, and they were wrapped in a garment bag and waiting for us at the front. The customer service was outstanding and we will choose to stay at this hotel every time we visit family, without our puppy.

2022-06-11Review: Hampton Inn and Suites Waxahachie, TX 6/8/2022Overall impression: rating 4/10; 95% of the time we really like and appreciate Hilton properties, their condition and the available amenities, but this one fell short. Might have moved elsewhere after discovering condition, but area hotels all booked up.SpecificsCons:1) AC barely working – took all night to get close to set temperature, didn’t remove humidity from room2) Reservation made over two months in advance, asked for top floor, got bottom floor room near an exit, slept poorly with passersby going in and out at all hours3) Bed sheets threadbare – gauze might have been an improvement, sticky, even after showering before retiring, due to wear condition and humidity in the room4) Air conditioner cover falling off of unit (long low style unit under window), 1 1/2” or so gap between it and wall, skewed, as found when checking in, control cover barely hanging on5) Remote control for TV randomly functional, sometimes worked on some buttons, sometimes did not (especially most used buttons – power, volume, channel up/down, worn out)6) Bathroom sink drain clogged, bowl would fill up during hand washings7) 75 percent of bathroom towels worn thin8) Indoor pool closed9) no restaurant on or near premises10) told front desk of issues on check-out, “OK, thank-you for telling us”, no compensatory offer was made, nor did I press it. (perhaps they already knew about the issues)Pros:1) roof over our head with door that locked2) Toilet workedConclusion: The impression that I am left with is that the manager is trying to wring every last cent of profit from the property and avoid reinvesting to help keep it in better shape. Probably won’t be staying here again unless am advised that the property has been remodeled/refitted and possibly under new management.

2022-03-16I would like to give a big shout out to Justin for going out of his way to help my son & I to blow up our air mattress. We had forgotten our air pump and he didn’t have one on hand. He was able to find a vacuum to do the job. Also the place & rooms were very clean and staff was were very accommodating.

2022-06-14Trash on floor of room. Was not sure it had been cleaned.Service was the equivalent to McDonalds drive thru. The manager did fix problems but only afterwards.Breakfast was great and so was the staff. For the money I would consider elsewhere.
