Great staff but there always has to be that one that is insolent. There is no point in being a nominal Hilton rewards member if the perks you get you cannot even use. I asked for a late check out and was blatantly told no. I explained that usually it was not a problem but instead of telling me the reason why she quickly responded well who. If she could have told me in a different manner as to why i wasnt allowed late checkouts and then telling me i would have to pay if i stayed later i wouldnt have written this. But on their website, it says there is no cost for late checkouts.
Overall very poor, if I can give 0 star I will. We will not stay at this Hotel, RM 210 it was so bad that I was so disappointed but we arrived late and tired and just need a bed to sleep. The shower tub was very bad, the shower gel on the wall was leaking and the cover was loose, once you press for soap the face will fall down. The gap on sink handle was so dirty. Housekeeping need to be trained more and reinforce the rule You see some something - Say something if housekeeping dont let the manager know and the manager dont let the Hotel engineering know who is going to fix the problem?! Engineering dont go up to every room to check for problem. At checked out I showed all the pictures to the Front Desk agent and hope that this problems will be taking care accordingly
I would honestly give zero stars if I could. My experience here was horrible. Not only was the front desk extremely rude but also my encounter with Juanita, the manager was awful as well. I dont appreciate the way I was treated and I will not be staying here in the future.
I dont usually write reviews, but after reading some of the others, I feel as though I should share my experience. This hotel is just ok. It was a bit disappointing for a Hilton Hotel. The room was a King suite. It did have a refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker and coffee, and a sink. The coffee maker and coffee were a good thing, because the coffee maker in the dining area downstairs was broken. The room only had one towel and washcloth for two guests. Had to call the front desk and ask for another set for my husband. Someone did bring them, but they were left on the floor in front of the room next door. The towels definitely need to be replaced as they were extremely worn and frayed. There were crumbs and bits of yellowish foam on the floor which would lead one to believe the floor had not been vacuumed between guests. The pool and pool area were pretty nasty. We could see it right below our room window and were really surprised by how dirty it was. I wouldnt even advertise that they have one if they arent going to clean or maintain it. Definitely an eyesore. The wifi was very difficult to connect to. I never could connect to a secure wifi, and I was not going to connect to the unsecured option. In two days, we saw 3 different staff members at the front desk. I wish I could say that they were professional in appearance and service, but they werent. If I had not seen them behind the front desk, I wouldve thought they were just guests at the hotel. That was odd to me. The one I spoke to about the towels seemed bothered that I asked. We needed more coffee in our room since we had to make it there, but when I asked, I was told, I think were out, but Ill look. She did find some, but it may have been old. It wasnt good. Maybe these things seem small, but for a Hilton Hotel and roughly $100/night, we were disappointed with the overall stay. When we book another hotel stay, we will not be booking another Home2 Suite. I shouldve read the reviews from the last 3 months before making our reservation.
Great staff but the hotel seems to be going downhill. Ive stayed there for years and after this year we decided to look elsewhere in the future. They need to remodel/clean the rooms. Things are just getting worn and some things are not in working condition. Housekeeping seems to be missing some steps.
Room was said to be cleaned by the sticker on the door but there was hair all over the dining table and bathroom counters and sheets. Solid food was still on the chairs. We went to the grocery store and cleaned the rooms ourselves. The pillows were piled on one side like one person slept on one side and they just made the bed but didnt change the sheets. Shower drain had rust stains. Trash smelled and over flowing in the hallways in the morning but it was changed by afternoon. The front desk was nice. Check in and Check out was easy. Will not stay again.
We booked our King suite over a week in advance on the Hilton Honors Page.We drove from Okc to Midland (7 hours). When we arrived I was told that they did not have our room available & wouldnt until the next day. They did offer us 2 queen rooms, but we have a 13 & a 8 yr old so they cant be in a room alone. I asked if they had 2 connecting rooms they said no. The lady at checkin was not friendly. She told us that she had only been there 2 months and hated her job. When she called the manager she asked her should I just kick other guests out of their rooms?. Eventually we were told they have a sister hotel across the parking lot and that the manager would help us with pricing over there. Once we got to the Staybridge suites the employee there was amazing. She got us a bigger 2 room suite and we were in our room within 30 minutes.Do not stay at this Home 2 Suites, go across the parking lot and stay at the Staybridge.
The staff was friendly, the rooms were huge (2 queen, sofa, apartment size fridge, sink, dishwasher), breakfast was great, location good, and the price was good. The pool and hot tub were very dirty and the hot tub was not working so it was ice cold. The furniture indoor and out door could use a good cleaning including the sofa in our room. Otherwise definitely worth what we paid on the night that we stayed 2/16
Nice property, weak internet (WiFi) connections. Have stayed here several times over the past month and love the location and room layout. However two knocks: first is internet signal is weak once inside a room (meaning can’t connect) and breakfast is missing oatmeal!
We have stayed in at least two other Home2 Suites (San Antonio TX, Temple TX) and were somewhat disappointed in our stay at the one in Midland. For one thing, there was LOUD traffic noise from Deauxville Boulevard day and night. Next, there was only ONE bath towel and ONE hand towel in the bathroom (there were two of us staying). Since some hotels dont put glasses in the bathroom anymore, I looked for one in the kitchen area. NO dishes visible anywhere.. Took me until next morning to realize they were all in the dishwasher! Lastly, when we returned from dinner out around 10pm there was NO hotel personnel to be seen anywhere. Made me feel unsafe--that anyone could come off the street and get upstairs to guest rooms whether they had business there or not. I will say that the bed, sheets and pillows were VERY comfy.
Not exceptionally clean but clean enough I guess. The kitchenette had no dishes, silverware, toaster, etc... NOTHING! Then we did not have any wash clothes and no bedding for the pull out couch. The card that you put in on booking to RESERVE the room only was charged instead of asking for a card at check in which was also not the card we were going to use. All other places charge the card you bring at check in, not the one you put on booking. But they asked for a credit card for “incidentals”Terrible Home2 compared to other ones we have stayed at!
Staying here for work my wife and 3 year old daughter were also with me. My wife and daughter got stuck in the elevator for more than half an hour. Trapped with no lights. My daughter was scared to death, my wife is claustrophobic the hotel didnt even offer an apology. Hope they are not scared for life
I was originally given a King bed when I had reserved 2 Queens, that was fixed right away. The fridge in our room didn’t work, I told the front desk and they said they would get someone to switch it out, never did (we are here for baseball so we have drinks and food we needed to store, ended up just using our cooler) there were ONLY two towels in our room...we are a family of 4, and the condiments (hot chocolate, teas) were empty and needed restocking. Not our best experience this time around at this hotel :((
The Hotel is clean and neat. The breakfast was good and there was varieties to choose from. Customer service and front desk were nice too. The only thing that I took 2 stars out for was that our suite bathroom door was broken and it wont close and was hard to move or partially close it. We did call the front desk to change the place but we were told that they were fully booked. They told us they will check with partner hotel nearby but it was too late and it took long time to get a call back.
The suite was nice and the bed very comfortable, but it had a weird smell and the housekeeping staff never cleaned our suite the 2 weeks I was there and I had to buy cleaning products to clean it myself even though I called the front desk to remind them that it needed cleaning they would say it was scheduled for the next day it never happened. Very disappointed with that part of the stay at this hotel, other than that I liked the pool and the gym and laundry room only bad thing the washer machine smelled horrible and only one dryer worked.
Poor customer service and unprofessional staff. We booked and paid online at orbitz.com for this reservation and showed the front desk the receipt and itinerary number from orbitz that it was already paid . Upon checking out my credit card, there was a charge from this hotel . The front desk did not help at all. They charged us even it was already paid.
Rooms are nice with all amenities available to you. Bed is comfortable and the sheets feel nice. Pillows were too big for my liking and couldnt get very comfortable while trying to sleep. Breakfast was okay but Ive definitely had better at other hotels. Good hotel but be sure to bring your own pillow and maybe make plans to go out for breakfast.
By far the dirtiest Home2Suites ive ever been to. Staff is rude and useless only one person was helpful & nice. Silverware is rusted, if you even get some. Trash is constantly overflowed outside to the point of trash bags being left outside of the can. Rarely seen anyone cleaning the lobby or any where in the general. Rooms are so disgusting & dont even have everything they should come with. Even after the rooms are cleaned and sanitized they somehow smell musty. The list goes on and on this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Hotel itself was sufficient, but multiple employees were not wearing masks even though it is state mandated. I also asked at checkin if I could have a room that hasn’t had anyone else stay for a couple nights since I’m high risk. The front desk person said, “no”, with no explanation or apology at all.
This place needs a staffing change. Assistant GM Miles is great, as well as, Daniel and Jaye (evening receptionist) were exceptional! The GM seems disconnected and not concerned with how his hotel is functioning. The hot water was hit or miss, door to patio has been broken for several weeks, breakfast is horrible, washers and dryers were consistently broken, construction workers take most of the tenant parking. Could be a much better experience. Not the Hilton standard Im accustomed to.
The room we booked was supposed to be for four, but they prepared a single king instead of a double queen. Nonetheless, when we pointed this out, they provided a SECOND single king size room. The rooms were immaculate, well appointed and as advertised. The breakfast was served with real plates, not paper. And the in room kitchen was stocked with everything save food. The staff was friendly, accommodating and professional.
Stayed here for 3 nights and was very impressed by just about everything. I wasnt expecting too much by this place but it had new and fresh decor and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The free breakfast in the morning has a big selection to choose from which was very good. The one drawback is that the warm food from the breakfast is microwaved by yourself and I was very skeptical of this, but I was surprised to find it to be very tasty. I had a scrambled egg & sausage bowl one morning and omelet the next 2 days and I found them all the be great. My favorite part of my stay at this hotel was the sitting area outside in front of the hotel. It had a quiet and relaxing atmosphere which gave a place to unwind at the end of a hectic day.
Upon arrival the guest attendant was super awesome. She told us breakfast was over at 10, check out times, and all that jazz. Went to our room and found out it was a king I specifically requested a double bed with sleeper sofa. I didnt want to bother and me and my family made it work. Water to the pool was freezing why idk didnt matter we wanted the hot tub.. low and behold doesnt work. Myself and my daughter were left in our rooms to sleep we were awakened by room service IN OUR ROOM AT 9:00 AM. Checkout is 11. We went down for breakfast and it closes at 9:30 I was told that by head housekeeper no one would come out of their office to talk to me. Another guest had the same problem. One of the children that was with me said they were closing the curtain ON HER while she was getting her breakfast. They were there way before me. Checkout was a breeze she was rude but still didnt want to be rude back so I call customer service. That was a joke and a waste of 150.00 I should have stayed at the Elegante for this inconvenience. All I get back is an email saying thats for your stay well work on it.
Hotel was clean. Had a good layout, we were in a one bedroom suite. Gave us room to visit with family without feeling like we were in a hotel room.Kitchen had microwave and fridge. Toaster. Coffee pot. Hot plate upon request.Good breakfast.Pool was smallish. But good. Had a hot tub.Id stay here again when Im in town.
This is the worst Home 2 Suites we have stayed at. The shower knob was not correctly placed and if you turned it ever a little too far, you were either on fire or freezing. We could not get hot water to the faucet at the bathroom sink. The toilet would barely flush half the time. There wasnt any air conditioning in the gym and, of course, the water machine in the gym was out of order. The pool looked like it hadnt been cleaned in a month and the hot tub was seriously green. We werent happy with our stay and I was going to write it off as a one off, but then I later see that I am charged for my room again, even though we paid the full balance through an advance purchase. It really seems like who ever is in charge of this hotel has no clue what theyre doing. 0/5, would never book again.
Room door locks are easily slipped opened by any card. Use deadbolts! Rooms are lovely, quiet and clean. Staff works hard to keep everything clean. Exterior doors lock at night. Breakfast is prepackaged egg sandwiches with waffles and cereal. Pets are welcome. Restaurants and HEB are very close. Weekend rates are low!
I was so impressed with my stay and the honesty of the staff. You see shortly after my stay I realized I left my wedding ring in the bathroom of my room. I fell into a panic and quickly called the hotel. Honestly I didnt think I would ever see it again. But to my surprise it was at the front office waiting for me. I am so grateful. Thank God there is still good people in the world.
This hotel is pet friendly. the rooms are clean and organized with bright and comfortable decor. Mini kitchens with grills on the patio allow you to fix your own meals. keeping the healthy life style use the gym or pool along with the good eating habits of self prepared meals.
Feb,15,2021. Fist time staying here. Power outage. No food in stors. Restaurants closing early. Cold.snow up the ying yang. But the room was like no other. The only thing missing was a stove to complete it. Told my wife thats the type of hotel I will stay in from now on no lie.
Its a Great Hotel I stay here every weekend. But this weekend they got our rooms messed up we had reservations for over a week got here there were no rooms that we had booked. So had to stay in a very small room the first night with 4 kids then moved the next day at 1pm. Then only was suppose to charge me for one night ended up charging me for two nights now saying I will not see my money back on my card for days. I was Very happy with this hotel every weekend that I drive 8 hours to get here... In till now this has really changed my mind about this place.
Overall hotel and room remodel amazing, staff great, generally immaculate, didnt hear any of the other guests and the bed is very comfy, the wall sconces and dual zone HVAC are great, but my room had noticeable carpet, desk chair (light grey is a bad idea in a hotel room when 95% of all desk chairs are black) and ceiling stains that were not taken care of from a previous guest before I checked in, pool area needs some serious work! Hot tub and pool ice cold (even on a hot day), hot tub water is greenish, patio cement flaking off in huge chunks representing a tripping hazard as well as eye sore, ash trays everywhere, pool dirty and water level 5 inches too low, rust on pergola pillars and tables, no little tables for chaise lounges, bath is nice and big but fills slowly and the neck rest is not comfortable kitchen bowls are so small I had to do my soup in two parts, I love that theres a stocked kitchen, but I do think its a strange policy to have the guests put clean dishes away upon arriving, couldnt get living room tv remote to work, lamps damaged from prior guests, old cigarette butts in the parking lot, all tile grout is now black with dirty mop water residue which happens in every hotel room, so light grey grout is a bad idea, needs to be darker to hide residue, bedroom door squeaks, full length mirror is hidden behind bedroom door - should be in long hallway near entry door as you come in, vanity light does not work, its odd that the telephone is set up at the dining room table and not the substantial built in office credenza in the living room, microwave light is out, unable to raise desk chair, coffee machine apparatus did not allow for water to flow from brewing chamber into the pot, had to lift pot up to get coffee, the logic of putting salt and pepper packets inside of shakers escapes me, no one was wearing masks yet the breakfast was still grab N go - not sure why this was and I couldnt find milk or ketchup, shower water pressure low - most likely calcium deposits inside fixture, just seems quality control here is lacking.
So I just paid over $200 for a room here. Im a Hilton Diamond Member who travels the US, averaging 3 weeks a month staying at Hilton Properties and this is what I get. Staff said that it was clean but didnt make the last inspection. They did offer to move me, which I declined cause Im just to tired to deal with it. Staff also wanted to charge me for a bottle water, which Im supposed to get for free as a Diamond Member, I said no, reminded her of the policy and she did give me a water. All the Hilton properties in Odessa/Midland TX are extremely over priced, and every time Im here, theres some issue. Amazing that other Hilton properties literally across the country can get it right, but these in this area never do.
Good mid-scale hotel between the airport and downtown Midland. Clean, spacious suites with free snacks if in premium room. Breakfast buffet is OK but not very inspired, if youre here for more than a couple of days youll want to go out. Fast, free WiFi and friendly staff get this place an extra star.
We were in Midland for a granddaughter ‘s HS graduation.....spent 3 nights. On the fourth day....graduation. We went to dinner and as soon as we returned.....as we were getting out of our car....the hotel, along with all of the surrounding hotels.....lost power! There had been a terrible highway accident that involved a power pole! Our room was on the fourth floor.....no elevator service! I am handicapped! Power returned after 3-4 hours.....however, the elevators needed to be re-programmed and it took several hours to get someone to do that! The front desk person, by the name of Miles, immediately found a room for us on the first floor! My husband walked to our room on the fourth floor to retrieve a few necessities and we blessedly went to bed! Thank you Miles!! So this morning....we got up, dressed and got on the elevator with a luggage cart, elevator had been restored, went to our room to pack and to prepare to leave. Power went out again!! No elevator service again! We loaded everything onto the luggage cart in anticipation of the return of the elevator repairman! My husband walked down the four flights for information. The elevator man had been contacted! So my husband came back up to tell me! The front desk person....Tenicia (sp?)....a sweet young lady...in her almost due state of pregnancy...ran up the four flights in an attempt to catch my almost 80 year old husband!....to tell him that the elevator man was there and that it would only be a few minutes!! He worked fast.....came up to retrieve us and escort us down on the elevator!! We arrived at our granddaughters post graduation brunch with two minutes to spare!! We had a very comfortable and exciting stay! And cannot tell you how much we appreciate the young people who staff Home2 Suites in Midland, TX!! From the time that we arrived until we left.....we were extremely well cared for!!
I prepaid for the reservation on Priceline and told them upon checking in and checking out and was assured that the pending charge would not go through. Well of course it did and so I called three times in an attempt to get my money rightfully refunded and each time I was told the manager has to process refunds, he will give you call later to process your refund. I even left a voicemail for Dennis the so called manager and heard nothing from him. On top of all that bs the stay itself was not great. They have roaches and the pillows are super uncomfortable. I would never recommend anyone stay here unless you want to feel gypped. Thankfully I was able to dispute it with my bank and they are going to credit my account back but none of this should have occurred if the staff actually cared about their customers. According to the sign in the lobby, they issue refunds if you are unhappy with your stay in any way but thats obviously not true if they wont even refund someone who should not have been charged in the first place. If you want somewhere that actually pays attention to what you are saying, go somewhere else!!!
Homes 2 Suite is a very appealing hotel. It smells clean from the time you walk in. The rooms are spacious and beds are cozy. My only reservation from our stay here was that the management should have stepped in to control the situation happening at the pool during our time there. There were 6 children at the pool without an adult. I talked directly to two of the oldest children and they were only 13 years old. There was an incident when one of the younger children (5 years old) almost drowned and the two 13 year olds argued over who should have been watching him. One of my children needed to go to bathroom during our pool time. I walked her to the outdoor bathroom only to find someone had deficated throughout the bathroom on the floor. It was one of the worst things I have smelled/seen ever and we definitely didnt want to go back into the pool area after that. After the mess was found, all 6 children that were in the pool quickly left the area. The housekeeping staff that came to clean in the area shared with us that those same children had been causing other problems too....even placing Texas waffles with syrup in each corner of their room and had pizza sauce all over the walls. The pool area was full of trash also- candy wrappers and soda bottles. While I know the issues we had werent directly related to the hotel itself, they could be avoided if the management and staff at the hotel would have been mindful of what was going on and have a zero tolerance policy. The sign at the pool clearly states that children under 14 must be supervised be a responsible adult. If those (known) unruley children would have been supervised, I doubt there would have been a pile of poop in that bathroom floor. The poor housekeeper had to clean it up. This is a nice hotel, but wont be for long if people are allowed to treat it this way. With many other hotels in the same area, likely I would not chose to stay in the hotel again.
The hotel manager’s (or so I was told by the front desk) little girl and baby were running up and down our floor screaming and playing after 11 pm at night. Was told that they had been “trying” to get the kids to bed all night. I have to wake up early in the morning to drive 9 hours, hence my need for a hotel. I’ve stayed at many Hilton’s, but this was the first where I felt my needs (specifically the need to get a good nights sleep) came last. Very disappointed and would encourage others to find a different hotel if you don’t plan to party all night (which F.Y.I. this particular hotel doesn’t allow alcohol on the premises, there are signs saying you will be charged ifcaught).
If you are looking for a home away from home while in Midland/Odessa, TX, you cannot go wrong with Home2 Suites on Catalina Drive. My family was looking for a place to stay while in town for work. The dates and length of stay were uncertain and we needed to make multiple changes. Every call was dealt with in a friendly manner, advice was offered and most of my worries were allayed each time. Check in went smoothly, a big plus since it was 3am after an eleven hour drive and we had to sleeping infants. The wonderful ladies who worked in the housekeeping department for our floor were considerate of nap times and listened to our familys needs during our 6 week stay. Every time I went to speak with the front desk they were receptive, cordial and knowledgeable about suggestions for dining and taking our family out to explore our temporary home city. Nearly every staff member I met and spoke with was amicable and many were quite thoughtful. Even the other guests I would see were rather neighborly. Some of the staff even helped celebrate my birthday. I barely missed my actual home during our stay. The rooms are clean (light cleaning every weekday, full service every 5 days, or when you request it), spacious (at least the one bedroom suite is) and the complimentary breakfast buffet is helpful in the wee hours of morning before rushing off to work. We had brought a travel kitchen set, something that was unnecessary while staying here as the full kitchen is well stocked with essentials. We did not have much to complain about and when there was an issue it was addressed, they stayed on top of it and communicated with us until it was resolved in as quick a manner as humanly possible. My only suggestion to them is when they are going to have a fire drill to contact the guests that are in the building. It is a bit of a fright trying to figure out how to get two infants down the stairs by myself. With a call to front desk I was informed it was a fire drill and was even offered to join them. I will admit, it made me realize I had no emergency plan, so it was actually a positive as well.Next time work sends us to the same site, we will be immediately calling Home2 to set up reservations. Whether you stay for a night, week, or a few months, I think this Home2 would be the peaceful temporary home.
The hotel is very nice but the service is horrible. I had made some requests when the reservations were made and none of them were met. Miles and the assistant manager Danielle did NOTHING the help resolve the situation. The housekeeping staff spent most of the day taking smoke breaks all over the hotel which is why our room was not ready by the time we were told. They didnt take into consideration that we had someone in a wheelchair and on oxygen. Which was another problem with the housekeeping staff smoking like trains. They also spent alot of time talking in the halls to each other and on the phone. The worst experience at a hotel we have ever had. NEVER hotel again.
I wish I could give more stars! Reece, Mary Lou and Crystal the GM were outstanding and did everything possible to make my stay comfortable. Besides the wonderful service, it is a beautiful and updated hotel! I now look forward to my business trips to Midland knowing I will now stay here everytime. See yall in a few months!
Location: Safe area close to restaurants and shopping. Rooms: Spacious, housecleaning was subpar (there was hair in my shower upon arrival and it stayed there, untouched by housekeeping for the remainder of my stay). Didnt bother me too much because it was at the back, bottom of the shower, on a soap tray. Service: My iron didnt get hot and they bought me a replacement within 5 min, which is pretty standard. They also provide sodas, Starbursts, Skittles, Peanuts, Chips and other goodies everyday in my room.
As I was checking out, I informed the Front Desk of a toilet issue. The water was not refilling. I waited approximately 30 mins before flushing again and same issue occurred. As I was explaining to Front Desk, the lady was completely unprofessional. She explained that there were 2 buttons and that one was for solid waste one for liquid waste. I explained I understood yet waited for a half hour before flushing again. She then abruptly stated why did you not tell anyone last night? I tried to explain that it just occurred this morning ... she stated to stop yelling at her. I did not. She then stated that she would report the Incident to my Company. That to me is a threat. This is my first time at this hotel, and my experience up to that point was a Fair and Good one. The Front Desk ruined that statue due to this Confrontation. I tried to bring up an issue ONLY to have your Employee threaten to report my yelling at her to my company. That type of attitude is completely unprofessional. I was NOT yelling at her. There were multiple people in the facility... I would not raise my voice as she implied in Front of children nor others. Room 226, email for the room will be provided IF Manager reachs out. Im a very professional individual ... My job requires me to be of the utmost respect toward Bank Managers and Store Managers.
We stayed two night June 8-10 with Our whole baseball team and it was the worst customer service we have ever received at a Hilton. The cashier on Saturday night was rude and blaming our baseball team boys for everything and and even had cockroaches allOver the bbq grill area I will never be back!
Avanti home to hotels that Ive stayed at this was among the best. The service was great the breakfast was great... The only reason I did not give it the whole five stars is that some of the outlets seem to push in when I use them its almost as if it was Hollow in the back.
When I made the reservations, I was told that Hilton Honors members can request a specific room in the hotel. I have a medical problem of insomnia, where noise can effect the quality of my rest. I requested a corner room on the top floor one week before check in, and was told that I would be on the 4th floor (top floor), corner room facing the front parking lot. (I had read a negative review on-line that described excessive noise coming from the patio section of the hotel, which is in the rear of the building). After I waited a full thirty minutes at check-in, watching the man that was ahead of me get so upset that he walked out, I checked in. I was told that I did not have the corner room as I had been told when making the reservation, and the closest room they could put me in was three rooms down from the corner. After waiting for the thirty minutes, and having just completed a thirteen hour drive, I reluctantly accepted the non-corner room on the 4th floor. As I mentioned earlier, the room was fairly clean except for the slimy, slippery film that was on the tile floor in the foyer and bathroom. We put down towels to avoid walking on the slimy floor with our bare feet or socks. The shower head had almost no water pressure, which meant we spent 5x more time in the shower trying to rinse the shampoo out of our hair every day.The heating/cooling system was absolutely, without a doubt the worst I have ever experienced in my travelling history. Directly next to the bed (about 2.5 feet away) it sounded like a freight train when it came on. It would run and cool the room down, then, it would allow the ambient temperature to rise as much as 4-5 degrees before it would kick in again. (Most air conditioners maintain a constant room temperature, not letting the temperature vary more that 1 or 2 degrees at the very most). Because of this obnoxious AC system, we were forced to sleep with all the covers/bedspread on while the AC was on, then shed all of the covers during the elongated period it was off. This made for a very uncomfortable night, and made it nearly impossible to get any rest whatsoever. The owner of the hotel should be forced to try to get a good nights sleep under these conditions and stay in my room for a night. When I first checked the nightly rates online, it gave a rate of $119 per night. In order to get my corner room, I actually made my reservations directly with Hilton by phone. I was told that my Hilton Honors rate would be the best rate, as opposed to AARP or AAA (which I am also a member). The rate I ended up paying averaged more than $250 per night, which was the Hilton Honors BEST rate. I found out later that the AAA rate was much cheaper than the HIlton Honors rate. I mentioned this at check in and was told that they could not do anything about it.
Be warned, I had an item go missing from my room and there is nothing TMI management can do about it. There is nothing that prevents housekeeping from taking something you leave behind and simply not turn it in to lost and found. The worst part is that I actually like the hotel. The rooms are nice and accommodating, but this incident ruined my stay. Save yourself the trouble and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn down the road instead. They have a different management group and youll get more Hilton points.
We switched to Home2 Suites because the Residence Inn had horrible bathrooms that the Shower tub backed up water to my calf. Not to mention them charging way too much for the night we did stay there putting an exorbitant amount to be put on hold on my wifes credit card!
I stayed at this hotel this week...June 14th to June 17th. Nice room, no water pressure to speak of. No 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee on any day after asking for something other than flavored creamer. Elevator went out and the front desk people were not very friendly. I most like will only stay the the Homewood Suites nearby. So much for giving a new property a try.
Every dish in my room was dirty. Literally. Every bowl and utensil. Only the clear cups were clean.Despite having a do not disturb sign on my door, every morning atleast twice the house keeper would bang on my door. The first few days she just knocked and entered. I guess she doesnt like dogs. The staff up front is out standing though.
Terrible terrible place and service!! Booked 2 rooms online and received email with room confirmation numbers. We arrived at the hotel and we are told there are no reserved rooms for us !! I was very disappointed and ended getting put into 1 room only when there were supposed to be 2 rooms for 2 couples! We spoke to the front desk because we wanted the 2nd room ! She gave us a key to another room and once we arrived at the 2nd room it turns out there were people sleeping in it !! I was so mad she (receptionist) gave us a room already taken and said she had no rooms and sent us to another hotel! Will I ever come back ?? No!!!

2022-02-09The room is nice and spacious. You can see calcium build-up on the faucets in the bathroom and kitchenette area. The biggest let-down is/was the water pressure in the shower. It might be better to say the LACK of water pressure. I tried types of adjustments and it wasnt much more than a trickle of water. The sink had a lot more water pressure. Never mind about the battery in the key reader taking a day to get replaced. Nice location, clean facilities and pleasant staff. Gotta work on that water pressure!

2022-06-276/26/22 Check-in was execrable. I have stayed at this location numerous times as do many personnel from our corporation and have had excellent staff experiences each time. I’ve been a Diamond member for more than 10 years and have stayed at Hilton properties across the US. Hands down worst check-in experience ever. Earlier in the day I had chosen an available room from the app. Upon arrival after being greeted by a person with all of the personal skills of a police booking officer, I was then questioned as to how I could have chosen a room on the Hilton App that wasn’t available and she would have to report this to her manager. I got the distinct feeling that she thought I had hacked the app! When I reached the alternate room I was given I found it had no refrigerator. I called the desk and reported this to the same hostess. She seemed to be extremely put-out that I wanted a room with all of the appliances that are standard at this chain. While I don’t have the say on where our corporation stays I can assure you I have input and that it is listened to.Not a way to end the weekend and start the work week….

2022-05-11The maintenance team is fantastic and the property looks great. I dont usually see maintenance staff working when I visit places but it was awesome to see them and that they were doing a great job! The pool was really clean too!

2022-07-04The hotel room is very nice, spacious, and clean. Staff is very friendly. The pool was really nice. Breakfast was great. We were there Fourth of July weekend and couldn’t hear fireworks in the room, which was great! My only complaints are that the WiFi is free for very basic stuff like checking email. Otherwise WiFi costs $5 a day.I have tinnitus in one of my ears and the elevator chime was extremely loud and shrill. That can be fixed. I needed ear plugs just for the elevator.Overall, the stay was great and we’ll be back.

2022-06-21Positive: The size of the room was great. Negative: I would request to be on the fourth floor. The family above us was running and jumping, so we did not sleep very well nor did we have a lot of quiet time. It was out further than I expected.

2022-05-11This is a great looking hotel with the exception of management. The manager (Juanita?) is very unprofessional and needs training on how to appropriately speak to guests. This place would be even more enjoyable if she wasnt around to squander the environment.

2022-05-04My family had a poor experience at Home2 Midland, front desk staff were not friendly, room furniture was stained/dirty and breakfast was cold and did not taste good. I also stayed at the Home2 Suites in Tuscon Arizona the next day, excellent experience all around!

2022-02-13Luke the staff, very friendly. Property needs to be updated and thoroughly detailed. Build up of calcium in the shower heads and faucets. Missing earing utensils...I had one spoon in the room. Not bad overall. I have returned to stay again.

2022-05-07Its OK but looses stars for having a damp floor in our room and a shower with no cold water. Hopefully they have addressed this after I made them aware on check out.
