Great representation of what all Hilton properties should be. Very clean, very friendly staff. Complementary breakfast everyday dinner (mon-thurs). Even a basketball court. Great property!
The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean. Complimentary breakfast every day and complimentary dinner on certain days. We rented three rooms one of which needed to be for my handicapped mother. I had rented the rooms for three months but unfortunately we had to cancel after we found out the handicap room we had requested was at the very back of the hotel. Not what I was told over the phone when I booked the room thus the two star rating.
We recently changed motels to be with Hilton because they seem to really put the customers first. They have put a lot of thought into putting the amenities in to make the stay as comfortable as possible. We appreciate that!

We stayed here in a 2 room suite and it was worth it! Although the pool area was a bit crowded with about 3 families we still had a good time. All the staff were extremely helpful and very courteous. We were 6 in the suite but it could easily fit up to 8 comfortably. It has 1 room with a king bed, a living room with a pull out full bed and another room with 2 queen beds. The kitchen was a good size considering its a hotel and it had a good sized fridge. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. If you enjoy BBQing they have an area outside with plenty of room to do that and it was clean! I would definitely recommend this place.
The hotel is a nice place to stay. A bit on the older properties, but nice enough. I think sometimes their rates tend to be pricy at times.
This Hilton hotel does not meet the standards of the Hilton family. The biggest issue is the AC did not cool the room until about 5am. The front desk did not even acknowledge my daimond status and offered my water. Also it does not have any labels as to where the elevator is at inside. The room was very clean though as expected. I would stay again due to the Hilton brand.
Excellent service! Breakfast and evening socials were a delight, and the staff provided excellent service. Access to the gym next door was an added benefit.

We stay at this hotel every time we visit the area. The rooms are always clean and the staff courteous. The suit style is perfect if you have kids since they can sleep on pull out in the living area. Plus there is free breakfast.

The maid service was great, every one was super friendly and helpful. Free breakfast every morning was great. My only complaint was they didnt have change available for the washing machines. I needed this as it was a two week stay.

Great stay. Asked Front Desk staff if they could place a stuffed bear in the room, so I could surprise my girlfriend. They gladly helped me out. They were very friendly. Wished they had name tags so I could thank the young woman personally. The room itself was very clean and very comfy. Had a lovely stay and would greatly come back again. I am an IHG member, but am thinking about switching to becoming a Hilton member now. Thank you Homewood Suites for an amazing stay.
Internet service was lousy. It dropped my connection every 5 minutes. I received an email to pre- check in but was given a different room at arrival so that was a waste of time. Decent breakfast but limited selection. Coffee is good. Quieter than many other hotels in McAllen.
Clean room, shuttle service to pick up from the airport, and free beer. Great combo for me.There is included breakfast in the mornings, and 5-7 every evening they have a keg of beer and appetizers set out for free.They also have a nice pool and a basketball court.
We were displaced from our home due to sewage backing up into our house and flooding it. Stayiing at Homewood Suites has been the best decision in our lives. The hotel room feels as if we are in our own home, it has a full kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc. Aida, Isai, and Noe prepare the best hot breakfast everyday as well as dinner Monday- Thursday 5-7 pm. They have been extremely nice and helpful to us. The front staff is very friendly and always attentive to our needs. The room was cleaned every day too. Next time you want to stay at any hotel, choose Homewood Suites and you will be delighted. My husband and I will dearly miss all the attention when we leave next week.
Absolutely outstanding, the best food Ive had at a homewood suites yet. Staff very friendly and helpful. The establishment is very clean and up-to-date. No junky plug-ins or messed up drawers. I will absolutely stay here again

Great sized rooms for the price. Hotel seems a bit dated. The complimentary breakfast and dinner during the week is a huge plus. If I travel south again, Ill definitely stay here.
As much as this is my favorite Hilton hotel in Mcallen, Tx the front desk staff can be rude and discriminating. I didnt get her name but because of my rate, she asked me where and which facility i work for as if she didnt have my information in my reservation where I booked it online. Theyve also flat out admit it because of my rate is why I can only get a king bed. The nice older lady was a little nice in the morning when I checked out and the breakfast lady too but the rude one that checked me in the evening looked younger and short.
Very nice rooms! Great breakfast and evening meals. They charge for guest laundry. But the washer and dryer broke and they were old machines.
The place is really nice and modern, and the service is fantastic! They do have a evening social where they have tons of food, and if youre of age Wine and beer on tap. The only con is the wifi is so incredibly slow.
The Homewood Suites is clean and neat and located close to medical care, shopping and dining. The best feature of this motel was its staff! Every need and question was answered quickly and courteously. Will plan to stay there again.

Horrible customer service. I was not upset by wall signs on the floor, bad coffee or the outdated bathtub. However, the customer service was the WORST I have ever experienced at a Hilton hotel.

Out of date hotel. Smells old and walls are thin. Staff are rude and slow when it comes to guest needs and services. Every floor smells like smoke . Rooms had holes and bugs, air conditioner didnt work and hotel had no maintenance guy that day to fix. Asked to move to other room and staff told me I couldnt get switched. Asked for corporates number and both staff members(Betty and a girl Alex )gave me wrong numbers. Really unprofessional staff. Called the B.B.B.

2022-09-11Love this place. We loved our stay that we extended it. It has a great patio place to do gatherings, 2 BBQ grills w/ propane, near the pool and they also allow pets. When we arrived they gave us two bowls for dogs. They have a little store and aside from providing a full breakfast they also provide dinner Monday- Thursday 5pm - 7pm. All workers are very friendly and helpful. TRUST ME IT WOULD BE WORTH YOUR STAY.

2022-08-05Listen. I lived here for nearly 10 months and have nothing but positive things to say. Front desk agents are always friendly and going that extra mile for their guests. The kitchen staff works hard and puts good meals together. The maintenance team actually fixes things when they break. This is how a hotel should be ran. I loved my time here and you will too. Grounds were messy n garbage strewed around n rarely picked up but no biggie. Lookn forward to staying again.

2021-10-14Hotel is 13 years old and not built for elegance but efficiency. Keeping that in mind... Hotel is in good repair and has an excellent maintenance staff. Hotel staff is kind and generous. I lived here for almost a year and came to think of the building as a second home and the staff as a second family. While I am happy to be home with my family I will miss the friendships created with the personnel here. Staff is very accommodating and helpful, except for the overnight male employees whom I think may have a very specific mental deficiency, which they can improve upon by paying attention to what the customer asks for and paying attention to their supervisors when they tell them how to fix it.

2021-12-20Came into town to visit extended family. First time at a Homewood Suites and it promised everything I needed. Have in-law in wheelchair and room, hotel and amenities was superb in coming through. Staff was very accommodating, very friendly, easy to work with and fulfilled every room request without hesitation. Overall place and atmosphere was easy going and relaxing!
