I came here in the middle of the night and the gentleman at the front was there to get me into a room on the first floor which was great because all my stuff. Everything was very clean and smelt good as soon as I got in. I forgot my soap and shower stuff which my room had, plenty towels and bathroom and shower was great and clean. Didnt have any problems whatsoever. The ladies who cleaned came by offering extra towels and anything else I needed or wanted. Great service, great staff. Will highly recommend. All together a five star stay.
Staff was nice, helpful, and the place was quiet. I enjoyed my stay. However, the room was dirty, and we didnt get housekeeping to bring extra towels for about 3 days. The cleaning staff can definitely do a better job and at least attempt to sweep and mop before a guest arrives.
Room was very dirty. Hadnt been swept or mopped in weeks. There were dirt spots all over the walls and beds were so hard my husband and I couldnt really sleep. Burn holes in the comforters on both beds. Power plugs pulled from the walls. I do not recommend getting a room from this place although front counter staff was nice
When we got there to check in, the lady at the desk was super friendly, kind and willing to help. I say this because once we got into our room, the toilet flushed but didn’t fill back up with water. She moved us to 2 other rooms and they all failed to have working toilets. The lady at the desk didn’t hesitate to help with moving us around and after 3 rooms, finally settled on a “suite” upstairs which would usually be more costly. The toilet worked and the room itself was just a bit cleaner than the others despite having stained walls and a disgusting restroom (as did the other rooms). You can tell the place is a bit dated but it is what it is. The king bed was ok. It wasn’t a pillow top mattress but still slept us ok. The property itself was a bit dirty and seemed to have “long term” residents. Overall, I’ll give the stay a 5 out of 10 rating. The lady’s customer service was a 8 out of 10 for her friendliness and lack of hesitation dealing with our room situation and she didn’t hesitate to give us all the extra sheets and blankets we requested.
Pictures do not match this highly under dated hotel. Its was dirty, smelly and just not your average hotel. Locals live there as a home & it shows! Will never attempt to stay here again... just gross!! Recommend getting the rooms, linens, and furniture updated. Your in the 1980s at least. If you pay for a hotel regular price at least deliver a good room!
No photos taken, was there because we had no electricity in the home due to power outages during the historic ice storm for the remainder of that week. The 4 and a half day stay at the Inn of the Conchos was really good... clean room and free Continental breakfast and HBO and most importantly the room was warm. I would recommend The Inn of the Conchos ... the staff is very friendly.
Horrible stay. There was handprint stains on the wall, cigarette burns on the sheets, had to bring my own bedsheets they charged me twice and when I brought it up they did nothing to help. The toilet water started leaking into the bedroom and when I notified them they just said “okay” & did nothing didn’t even send someone to clean it at least. The room key was constantly a problem and people blast music at night and weren’t told anything the list just goes on.
I have stayed here in the past, it was super clean cheaper. This visit was just as good, friendly staff, clean room. Only problem was the rodeo was going on at the time of our stay. The kids in the room above us sounded like OZZY OSBOURNE on an acid trip back in 75.....we got no sleep whatsoever. I will avoid San Angelo during Rodeo Season.
Stayed here for the carshow for a couple of days and this hotel is a great stay. The breakfast is absolutely amazing and staff is friendly. The rooms are not bad at all. They even have a pullout bed for an extra person. Overall its a great hotel for a great price. Have stayed here in the past and will stay here again in the future.
I don’t know if it was just a bad room or what, but my parents came to visit me in san angelo and within five minutes of entering their room, there was a beetle on the couch. the lampshades were stained, the walls were dirty, the baseboards had so much grime on them they looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. it was a nonsmoking room and yet there were cigarette burns all over the sheets. the mini fridge has a foul smell as well. later that night while they were getting ready for bed, my mom had to kill ROACHES in the bathroom area. they had my three year old niece with them, so at that point they were ready to leave, and found another roach in her shoes. nasty, nasty room. not worth the money whatsoever. i am not one to complain, but it needs to be known so others don’t have to lose money like my family did. there are much better motels in the area than this one!
I would stay with them again. The staff was very, very nice. It is an old motel, but clean rooms and an attempt to update. It definitely shows its age outside. It would have a better feel if they would power wash the sidewalks and stairs. There is a little patio that is roped of because of bad repair. The hot tub is in completely unusable condition. It needs major repair. It is February, so didnt expect pool to be up and running. And it wasnt. If you are looking for a place to sleep that is clean, but no extras..its ok.Also, they advertise hot breakfast. We were there during stock show. Most of people staying were for the stock show. Lots of people..kids there to show their animals...not lots of food. Ran out of food way too early. Poor planning.
After a semi major fall due tó several lose screws I completed an incident report but was unable to get the manager on the phone. The staff was amazingly nice and concerned however I feel blown off. Ripped clothes, damaged phone, medical bills all emailed and still no response 3 days later. This doesnt include the loose toilet, tiny roaches on the second floor or the constant drunken party 2 doors down while we tried to sleep.Hopefully someone steps up and helps the situation vs the silence Ive received this far.
This place is a little worn around the edges, its not the Ritz, but, its not the Pits either. Its a budget hotel with a great free breakfast. Shopping, grocery, fast food, movies, 7-11 in close walking distance. Good location. Really friendly staff too. I stay here often, and would recommend the hotel to anyone. Safe & Clean.
Stated about 2 month Dale, the over night guy very friendly and informative. Sam works mornings/early afternoons was always willing to help. Holly very friendly and helpful as well. The staff earned the 5 stars. Good management, good support staff. Also good breakfast. And after much research its the best price in town. Would stay again in a heartbeat if I needed to.
The young lady who checked us in was super sweet, place is run down and when we parked towards the back where the room was located there was drug dealing going on in the parking lot and drunk men walking around. Went back the office and got refunded and checked in elsewhere. The you g lady was understanding.
We pulled in as someone was being arrested, Got a room, went inside and immediately left and got our money refunded after seeing cockroaches crawling on everything in the room, they were even under the blankets on the beds, crawling on the curtains, out of the shower, and crunching on the floor as we walked. When we asked for the refund they didnt believe us, we asked if they wanted to look in there room and anger suddenly changed to giving us our money back. Later we found out that San Angelo is the worst city in Texas for crime ect....
Our reservations in January got entirely mixed up by our visit in February and the room given was still dirty from previous guest. The promised hot tub just had a puddle of dirty water inside. Many electronic were not working. Took 45 mins for check in. And breakfast was unpleasent and lacking taste.
Your basic motel but the fold out bed and mold and dampness. Was told that I had to pay a $50 deposit because I am a local. Then we he realized I am not a local he said everyone had to pay $50 deposit. The following morning the lady that was working the office said she never charges a deposit on locals unless they payin with cash.
Was not a pleasant experience. Broken things like the bath fan and the remote for the T.V. no hot water the first day . Nazi experience at breakfast, do not dare take any thing out of the dining area, I like to take my breakfast back to the room and watch ESPN , not allowed. Twice homeless/ bums knocked on the door looking for handouts. It was cheep though.
What a joke!! If it wasnt so bad it would be funny. I left my charger for my laptop there in my room after I left, and called about it a few days later. The manager told me they found it and that he might send it.. yes, he said he might send it. but he wasnt sure if he should send it. what a complete dumbass. he had my charger, my address, i verified my room number, driver license, and I even offered to pay for the shipping. This stupid idiot finally said he would send it, but he never sent it.in general, its a shitty stay. and for 100$ its by far the shittiest dump I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
Excellent breakfast, excellent room, bed, amenities with one major no no, this is the digital age...2/26/2018 UPDATE: Left to work elsewhere a week and come back only find the wifi is back to square one. 2/8/18 UPDATE: since my last post circa 2/1/18, this motels upper management has made some significant improvements on the internet provisions. Even though the GM and I had a slight disagreement on some nomenclature regarding vapes, the upper echelon took notice from my original review. The internet went from a very poor symmetrical ISP quality to well above average asymmetrical. Therefore Ive increased the star standing to reflect the attention to detail and the strive to accommodate their tenants. My original review was 1 single, solitary star. I was informed to test out the new provisions (unsure of exclusivity - its hard to test something solo rather than under full load). Im by no means a systems analyst, however, Ive been taught a few things. If they fully implement the new system and Im able to test the new internet infrastructure under normal use, the stars shall increase. For now, Ill improve the ratings to 3 stars based on their attention to detail and the initiative to provide for their tenants. -- the internet is GIMPED beyond belief... wouldve given more stars, but the net is my source of entertainment... edit: the other drawback is no acoustical dampening... if a mouse breaks wind three doors down on the bottom floor and you are on any upper tiers, you hear it... either foam-rubber the walls or carpet the floors... edit #2: I can watch Netflix with no issues, yet any attempts to websurf or game and my packet loss goes from 5% to 85% upon switching from watching movies on Netflix to playing my MMORPG subscription to EVE Online... gamers beware, this Hotel is not gamer friendly... I have extremely accurate wifi/Ethernet metrics monitoring software, its either an ISP issue, which I doubt, or shoddy wifi equipment, OR InfoTech mismanagement... furthermore, truckstops have the WORST wifi Ive ever seen, before now...
I check in late ,, the clerk had a guy in the lobby hitting on her i guess , she was more interested in him than me ,, $100.00 bucks a night IS WHAT I WAS TOLD ,, the other hotels in town were full so i got nailed there,,but at 430 am when i woken up because a ROACH was crawling on my arm ,, this was to much for me ,, when i called down to the lobby there was not answer,,,,So the next morning i was checking out the maid ask if everything was ok when i was leaving and i told her about the 7 ROACHES I KILLED SHE LAUGHTED AND SAID YEAH THAT HAPPENS ,, got to the front desk and yet another guy was hitting on the new clerk,,,, When i told her about the roaches (btw) i brought one of them to show her she told yeah that sometimes happens,, ,, I asked to speak to the MGR and see told me she didnt know where he was ,, returning the money was out of the question ,when i got back to austin i was unpacking and i found a live ROACH IN MY BAG,,do what you want but i wouldnt stay here ,,,, the sad thing about this story is that i once worked for a pest control company in san angelo and this used to be a nice place to stay and they cared about things like this

2022-03-02Fairly non-descript room. Clean and functional. Good location. But the staff were so friendly and ready to be helpful it made it a rewarding experience. Holly (reception) was glad to impart any information she could and asked about our experiences when we came back from our jaunts. The kitchen staff, upon learning I dont eat meat, made a special batch of eggs for us (and future guests.) There were quite a few breakfast options, looked homemade and tasty.

2022-02-07Positive: The hotel staff were sooo friendly! I hate to say anything bad because every staff member we met was so very nice Negative: We got there late the first night and the second night we were there we killed several roaches. If we had had the option to check out and find another hotel we would have but because of the events that wasnt an option.

2022-05-25Great customer service, the breakfast is good too. Spacious rooms and parking lot. My only suggestion would be to pay more attention on cleaning the rooms properly.

2022-03-27Inn of the Conchos provides an excellent environment, well cooked breakfast six days a week, and a few nice accomodations in their rooms. Ive been a guest at Inn of the Conchos three and a half weeks ago. A room with two beds, a couch, microwave, cable tv. The weekly rate of $365 is money well spent 👍👍👏👏👏
