I cannot thank Ohm Patel and the staff at La Quinta Las Colinas enough! I thought my ring was lost forever and they went above and beyond to help find it in the vacuum. I am so incredibly grateful for their kindness. It was a great stay and this will be our place to be from now on when we visit our family! Thank you!!
When I checked in, I just had surgery so I have on a boot on my foot. I had to sit down while I was waiting on the front office personnel got my documents together. I feel like she could’ve brought the document to me in order to sign in order to thing make things easy. Then I get to my room my room is dirty. Then when my room was switched I called to ask my for more pillows and the front desk tells me that she can’t help me and that I have to come down to get more pillows. I advised her that I have a boot on which makes it difficult to walk and she still told me I had to come downstairs. I don’t like that the front desk seems not to be accommodating and the woman who works the front desk is rude.
This hotel is really dirty. I found old bloodstains on the comforter. One of the pillows had a crusty spot and I found hairs that arent mine. The shower curtain has black mold. There are also other issues (e.g. bathroom doesnt have a single towel bar or hook or even a toilet paper holder) but the cleanliness issues are so basic and easy to fix. Some of the other reviews complained about roaches; I havent seen any, but at this point I wouldnt be surprised.
Roaches were crawling under the door. When I informed the front desk, he acted non-chalant and said he would tell his manager. He acted surprised. Now I see reviews about roaches, not good. I cleaned each of my items as I left so I wouldnt bring anything home. Also. I brought no food to the room. Missed the mark here!
Clean hotel, clean room, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. The continental breakfast was TERRIBLE even for a continental breakfast!! Coffee was cold, the batter for the waffles had no taste, just a couple of apples out and not very much to choose from. Didn’t even see any pastries. Very disappointing.
Stayed at this hotel because of my teenage daughters hockey camp. Decent pictures, decent rate, close to the rink she was playing at. Our room was on the bottom floor right in the middle of the hotel. Keys didnt work, so walked back got another set of keys was told not to have it near the phone because it could mess up the key okay whatever.... again no working key. Walked back got another key it works YAY! Get into room get hit with the smell of mildew... I thought okay maybe just turn on the AC its humid its just super humid in Texas. Woke up bright and early for the breakfast. Guess whaaaaat? Bread, Toaster, Yogurt, and some apple juice I think there was hot water and coffee so forget breakfast. Got back pretty late (keys didnt work again x2) and of course we get the upstairs neighbors that have the ten kids that are running jumping and bringing down the house at 11pm. I was trying to be kind maybe they will go to sleep soon.... at midnight I called the front desk and the woman was on her cell phone while trying to talk to me so between the two conversations I was a little irritated and finally they went to bed. Next day returned from a day of hockey (failed room key x1) and we are faced with ANTs yep ants all over my daughters back pack. So they come they spray and they offer a room change but it would be further from the front desk and the luck we are having with the keys I will survive ant killer spray smell we had already had a sleepless night. So last evening at this awful hotel... A man in a robe just awful human I will describe this human as mentally unstable all day just saying awful things about my daughter and what she is wearing to the pool. I tell hotel staff they do nothing. So he continues and I no longer feel safe in this hotel. My daughter and I are in our room while this man begins to harass another guest and his family. Finally we call the police and the man is arrested for flashing people. Yes the man was naked under that robe. We feel unsafe and plan to go to another hotel for the night. Management may or may not give any monies back. That was my response. I asked them to talk to that guest all day but now that he is being arrested you are concerned enough to say sorry. Oh yeah after the man was arrested went back to my room and guess what??? the key didnt work so i had to see these guys 3 more times before I could go back to my room and secure my daughter and myself in the room. It was the worst stay. It looks nice in the photos but truly HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS would have been way better than this joint.
I will never stay at La Quinta or any Wyndham properties because of my horrible experience at the Las Colinas location. Jay is unprofessional, insensitive and a joke for a manager. Long story short, we found a beer bottle top and a clump of hair in two different beds on what should have been a clean room upon check-in. We also found a bug and more clumps of hair on supposedly clean towels. I attempted to address the issue several times with promises to clean our room and address our bill upon check out; neither of what happened. Jay refused to take my calls or return my calls until I called corporate, which turned out to be a joke as well. The only solution offered from Jay and corporate were points to use for a future stay. Not an option for me after the way I was treated. Supposed account manager Linda from corporate office tried to lecture me, gave me false information on how to further with my case and hung up on me. Andred/Amrid (not sure if he even gave me the correct name) another supposed manager from corporate was rude, insensitive, didnt listen to me or try to help me and hung up on me. If President CEO Geoff Ballotti of Wyndham is okay with this type of customer service then SHAME on him. To be treated like a second class citizen by everyone I interfaced with during this process attests to the poor expectation the Wyndham brand places on its employees and their lack of customer service; and the core values of Integrity, Accountability, Inclusive, Caring and Fun that Wyndham claims definitely fell short for me and my family.
The front desk lady ruined the entire experience. She was rude from the second we walked in the door. Every question we asked her was shot back with attitude and she acted so annoyed to just do her job. She sat on her phone and texted for a few minutes before she even greeted us. How can someone work in customer service and be so rude to the customers. Never again will we be staying here.
If I could give this hotel less than one star I would. I checked in at 9:30pm to spend the night before an early flight. They assigned me a very noisy room right off the lobby, next to the laundry room (which was in use) and the ice machine. They were clearly not full and it was late but nonetheless the female at the check in desk adamantly refused to give me a different room. Terrible service.
Absolutely horrible service from the time I walked in the lobby with no air conditioning on a 95° day to being threatened if I smoke in the room which I dont smoke and walked in the room and it smells like smoke already. Absolutely no water pressure in the shower over $100 a night yall got to be smoking crack
DO NOT STAY HERE! When we first got here they gave us a dirty room and I had to go down to the front desk and ask for a new room. Once they moved us we didn’t have enough towels and called the front desk for more and they put us on hold and then hung up. My friend called back and they put us on hold again. We went down to the pool and the hot tub was freezing cold and so was the pool.
Beautiful place on the outside have alot of traffic goes in and out of there alot illegal activities going made me nervous. Rooms smelling like WEED WHEN I WALKED IN THE ROOM GOTTEN AN HEADACHE WALKED OUT FROM THE 3RD FLOOR TO THE 1ST FLOOR AND STILL HAD AN HEADACHE. GOT TO THE FRONT DESK TO CHANGE MY ROOM AND NO ONE WAS THERE. HAD TO CALL THE 800 NUMBER TO GET HELP. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK TO THIS LAQUINTA. AND THEY CHARGE ME SEPARATE AT CHECKING IN WITH TWO DEPOSITS. SHOWED HER MY EMAIL WANT IT SHOULD BE. Charged me both $139 each room. Have police walking around thats if they are police.
This particular La Quinta did not allow me to stay for my graduation because I had my moms debit card on file. I was not offered an authorization form like the other hotels offered and the folks at booking.com tried to request on several occasions for a refund, however, we had no response and then I called booking.com and they finally got in contact with someone and did not offer a refund because they “held the room” for me even though I was hours from home and couldn’t speed up the mailing delivery of my new debit card that had my name versus my moms name. I have stayed at several hotels that accepted my ID and my moms debit card the past month and this has been the only hotel that has denied me and not refunded the money. Rude management.
I would stay here again. The hotel was nice and clean.I do have a couple of things to note - we were given 2 room keys at check in. When we got up to the room, only 1 of the keys worked. No big deal. The next day we headed out for lunch and upon our return NEITHER key worked. I had to leave my bf in the hall holding our food while i went back down to have the cards reprogrammed. The walls are definitely thin! We could hear everything and everyone up and down the hall. The shower curtain had spots of mold along the bottom. Like, bleach this or toss it!There were also a LOT of stray hairs on the towels, yuck. I ALWAYS bring my own towels when i travel but i do use the hotel towels around the room. Just something to note.
Me and my wife went out to eat and come back with food placed it on counter to take a shower. After shower I comeback to roaches trying to get into my food container. Spoke to front desk he just said he will relay the message not move us or anything. To many unwanted room guest for $100+ a night I paid. Want go back there anymore.
This place is super CLEAN. The staff is very FRIENDLY. The breakfast was pleasant. If you’d like some sausage, all you have to do is request and the cooks will serve you. There was a slightly funny smell BUT my candle fixed that right up. I will def. be back when i want some peace and quiet for myself. The area is nice and there is a yard house surround by other restaurants right down the road in a very nice area as well. This is a very pleasant and overall quiet space. I felt comfortable and right at home. I def recommend this hotel.
We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The a/c is cold, goes down to 60 and theres a fan in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were clean. We had no issues with the hot water. The rooms are big and spacious. Customer service was awesome and this area is located in a nice, safe location.
Place is clean but they are using a very strong chemical product that smells strong. I understand that is covid19 precautions.Everything was very nice, room clean, spaces clean, very good service. Except that when I left I forgot a my kid blanket and after two days calling, they said that I did not left a blanket there, I know i did. Anyhow the lack of friendliness, and trying to help me was zero. I wanted to talk to the manager and they said they didnt have one (??) very weird an strange!
Positive: Was assigned room 106 that reeks of URINE, w/ a bathroom door lock that prevented me from getting in during the night, and was told after checking in that the tap water is non-potable. Room 105 stunk of mold. Staff are uncooperative & lied. Negative: This was the most surreal experience of awfulness, filth, and dishonest proprietorship I¿ve ever experienced.
If I could give them a ZERO I 100% would.DO NOT STAY HERE. they charged me for smoking fee when we did not smoke and then management REFUSED to show proof and hung up the phone in my face when I called about it. corporate isn’t any help either. AVOID the problems and stay literally anywhere else. not to mention it smells like MILDEW throughout the hotel and we didn’t want to be rude and complain but this is how they treat guests.
Here’s what I loved about this place… the room was awesome! Clean and comfy… large and cold… I sleep better when it is cold… and even though it was almost 100 outside… 68 on the inside. And the night manager was fantastic… we had to leave at 4am to make an early flight and she was like super helpful. Oh and did I say the room was quiet? Far enough away from traffic to let us sleep like babies!
Rooms were clean no odors, updated rooms, nice neighborhood, the staff was friendly. We requested to have a room on the first floor and they full filled our request even when we checked in at 11pm. There was hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and you make your own waffles. The pool did seem a little small but it was nice and clean and they had a smaller pool for the little kids. The location was great. If come back I will be staying at this hotel.
Positive: Rooms were clean. Bed/pillows were comfortable. Adequate breakfast. Good location for our destination. Negative: Free Wifi didnt work and front desk said they would fix it and they never fixed or let us know. Never called back about the borrowing HDMI cord. No pool towels. No hooks, towel bar, or toilet roll holder in bathroom. Lots of garbage in parking lot.
Family stayed the night to be near the airport. We visited them. Their room was very neat and clean. They were able to bring their dogs. There was a $20 per night charge for them. The room was cool. The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable and the location is good. We would consider staying there.
I got a suite, very reasonable off season, close (walking distance 5 min.) to the shopping plaza which has pubs, restaurants cleaners groceries ect. My room had been completely refurbished, dont know about the other rooms though. I will stay here again if ever i pass through the area.
Positive: Location Negative: Could have been a little cleaner. I found A LOT of somebodys stray hairs on several of the bathroom towels. There was also mold along the bottom of the shower curtain. I also had issues with the keycards - eventually having to have BOTH reprogrammed
So this is my second stay here. Another great experience as my previous stay! Very clean and love the updates that have been done since Wyndham took over! Very modern like, friendly front desk services. Jennifer was amazing allowing us to check out at a later time then the normal! House keeping is off the chain!! Lol they deserves 5 stars by themselves!! Always making sure that you dont need anything! I will definitely return and highly recommend this location!!
1. I made 3 nights reservation on Wyndham app with the total price of $333.xx. however, when I arrived, the hotel wanted to charge a different price and blamed it on number of total guests being wrong on the reservation. It was 1 on the app and when I arrived, I told them it was 2. FYI Wyndham does not differentiate the cost between 1 or 2 guests. But the employee and manager were blah-blah-blah without studying and knowing the facts.Solution: manager matched the first 2 nights as same as the app price.2. Ashes on the sofa and strong Marijuana odor was reported as soon as checked in and the day after.Solution: None, they didnt care much3. Room key not working properly. Manager told me to wait in the room while she goes back to make another copy that will work for our room.Solution: She never came by with the key. When I asked her the next morning, she said oh, I told the girl on the next shift. Very irresponsible response by the manager, this explains their culture.4. Breakfast, you must ask for eggs and a sausage patty to the ladies in the food pantry closet. Then they will get the food from the warmer that is in the closet (not kitchen, city code violation) and serve it to you. DO NOT ASK FOR MORE TWO SAUSAGES OR FOR MORE EGGS, you will be given with a look that you do not wish on your worst enemies.Soultion: I asked for two portions since my wife was in the room. I had to prove it to them that I had another person in the room.
Horrible front desk, and hot water is on a first get in up basis. I have booked this hotel thru Hotels.com for 4 weeks for employees, and every time they leave the room the key does not work and they have to go to the front desk. They will not activate it or let them in unless the person on the reservation goes (even when its for 2 people). We have asked for them to put both names on the reservation, so we dont have to go thru all this trouble and their response is we are unable to add 2 names. Either fix the problem with the room keys or Update your system to do a better job and train your front desk not to be rude.
I had three rooms reserved for the weekend for my family and our friends. Two king suites and a room with double beds. In one of the king suites, the smoke detector had a plastic bag taped over it and someone had obviously been smoking it in. My friends took a picture and took it to the front desk to show them. They were told that they would be moved to another room, but that never happened all weekend. At check out on Sunday, my friend wanted a discount for staying in the smoke room. Because I reserved the rooms under my loyalty account, I went to talk to them. All the front desk was willing to do was give me a 10% discount on one room and 2000 points. I said I didnt need the extra points, I was not the one who had to stay in the smoky room. I said forget the points, please allow for a larger discount for the room. She said she could not. It would be up to a manager. She said the manager would call me on Monday. I never got a call on Monday, so I called back on Monday evening. I was again told any additional discounts would have to go through the manager and she would leave that person a note. So on Tuesday I called during the day. I was told the manager wont authorize any other discounts. So I took the 10% discount and said the customer service left something to be desired and I was disappointed in the way our group was treated. The hotel was in a good location, but I will not stay there on my next trip to Dallas.
Staying here currently but can say it is really nice.Just don’t take too hot of showers with the bathroom door open... set off the fire alarm with the steam. Very sensitive.Great staff, not sure of the name of the woman that checked me in but was very nice.Beds are comfy and establishment very clean. If you come soon after 7/25/2020 they are doing construction but can’t really hear anything and I’m on the side if construction. They also give you 3 items when you check in. Couldn’t really hear why but just something they do i think she said.
This Location Is Ran By Non Americans FYI... Has Turned Into A Motel 6 Type Ownership... Room Even Had A Smell Like The Non American Ones Do Now. I Think The Employees alisha & jay Live There Like The Non American Hotels/Motels These Days SMH... Also They Lie About Check In Times For Rooms. If Your A Rewards Member I Was Told You Can Check In 1-2 Hours Early. Each Time I Have Costed 4 Different Times I Dont Get That Treatment. But At Check Out I Saw alisha Checking In A White Women At 12pm As I Was Checking Out. Then Last Visit I Was Told I Had To Wait Until 2:30 pm By Employee jay But When I Returned To Wait At 1:40pm Another White Women Was Being Checked In 🤔🤔🤔 Once I Caught This I Was Given A Room At 1:40 Also. There Is Also A Employee mexican That Stares And Watches You Eat Breakfast. Looks At Your Plate And All 🤔🤔🤔
Got in past midnight on a red eye. Noticed that the toilet had a difficult time flushing. At noon we called for a plunger due to the toilet getting worse. Waited 2 hours for a plunger, after waiting 2 hours decided to go down to the office and get the plunger ourselves. One toilet bowl fixed.Breakfast is so much not breakfast dont even bother trying to have breakfast. No bagels or cereal. The apple juice they had went south, causing my wife to throw up almost immediately. They need to either not offer breakfast or sit down with other hotels that know how to do breakfast even during covid times. There is no toilet paper holder. There are no towel holders. I dont think I have ever stayed at a hotel that didnt have either one.Room and bed seemed cleaned. That is the reason for some stars.Everything that I have commented on has been addressed by others through their comments but nothing has been done to solve these comments/complaints. More than likely management will comment that they are sorry about not living up to our standards and blaw blaw blaw.
Room was nice. Renovated. Best option for the price. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was decent however the hotel didnt have any signs to let thier guests know how to take advantage of this perk. They didnt have a full visible buffet or warmers onsite. Staff had to be asked for breakfast and they brought you out a portioned out paper plate with eggs, bacon and 1 pc of sausage. A childrens size carton of OJ with individual mini muffins and fruit cups. Adequate for the price. Service desk was pleasant.Negative: hallways were hot, no air conditioning and tissue cheap.
Disgusting, disgusting room with throw up on furniture, no soap in room, rude manager (Alicia). After asking for soap, we were told the hotel wasn’t handing that out any longer. Didn’t even make it one night before we gave up and left. Manager (Alicia) refuses to send promised refund for 2nd night after speaking to her personally. Will never stay here again.
The queen suite was exactly what we wanted. They are dog friendly!! They have actual breakfast now too! But their scrambled eggs were inedible. I settled for a rice crispy bar and some yogurt. Still, it was better than a brown sack with juice and a muffin! 💓 And did I mention dog friendly?
The hotel going through renovation. The room are ok just the carpet very sticky and frelthy smell cant even open the windows. My kids left there coughing so bad. Refused to have us check out an hour late. House keeping wouldnt clean the room excuse they only clean when you check out. No Breakfast only to go very few items on the bag. 👎very pleasant esp if you have kids.
I stayed 4 nights while I attended work related training and live over 100 miles away. The hotel was decent and clean. Glad I brought my own hairdryer bcuz there wasnt one furnished. 3 weeks later I find out this hotel charged the company I work for $250 saying I stole the hair dryer, a trashcan, and desk lamp, which there was no lamp or dryer and only 1 trashcan in the room when I checked in. So BE SURE TO INVENTORY AND TELL THEM IF YOURE MISSING ITEMS OR THEY WILL SCAM $ OFF YOUR CREDIT CARD AND SAY YOU STOLE STUFF!!
This property is quite impressive. I love that its out of the way but still close to my family, friends and shopping areas. The hotel, swimming pool area and rooms are very clean and well maintained. We come to Dallas often and will be staying at this La Quinta again.
We stayed two nights. The breakfast provided was Nutri Grain Bars, Rice Krispy Treats and Oatmeal Packets. Honestly, one of the worst breakfast displays weve seen in ages. No waffle batter despite two working machines. Mini fridge was completely empty... no yogurt or apples, etc...Also, not one fixture in the bathroom. You cannot hang any towels, and they did not even have a toilet paper roll holder. We opted for La Quinta instead of Aloft since this hotel was cheaper AND offered breakfast. However, we ended up having to go out for breakfast anyway, so we didnt really save any money. We wished we had booked elsewhere.
Room was very clean and comfortable! Has been newly remodeled, so there was a smell from something, not sure if it was paint or some other chemical used for the remodel. Also, as the remodel is going on right now, there were lots of shipping containers taking up most of the parking lot, made it hard to park our uhaul truck. But the room was beautiful, and the bed was very comfy!
I am so happy I choose this place! I needed to come to Dallas for business last minute and was hoping this place was at least decent. It exceeded my expectations. The lady at the front desk was sooooo sweet and personable. Thank you ma’am! Hope your fur baby is well!! Mine is adjusting just fine and full of energy. The room was nice! It was big, pretty quiet (you’ll hear hotel room doors open/close, that’s all). I wouldn’t come here if you’re planning on a freakneak night because you do hear what’s going on in the rooms when walking down the hallway, butttt not so much. So it’s doable. Just use your inside voice fr. Breakfast was nice! Hot breakfast, make your own pancakes, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, rice Krispy treats (YEA I SAID IT LOL and i loved that).Checking out with the manager was a breeze! Most of all i love how I didn’t feel judged. I walked my dog looking a MESS and each time they just smiled at me at the desk and continued their business. I like this. You guys have a great team and really set the standards for a nice hotel, affordable and great customer service!!!Oh the bathroom mirror is to DIE FORRR!!!! You will get the best photos of your LIFE there!
For a 2-star accommodation, the lodging offers the feel of a 3-star hotel. The rooms are spacious and replete with many amenities, like a coffee machine, and even a long couch that can double as a mattress! For travelers on a budget but looking for ultimate comfort, La Quinta offers the optimal balance!
The hallways smelled like someone smoked a pack in them. They did finally deodorize them the third day. There was a massive red stain on the carpet- didn’t look like they tried to get it clean. Other than that the rooms are nice but it is sooooo damp. Like wake up and your hair is damp and all of your clothes are damp. The Texas shaped waffles were a hit w the kids.
Great stay. They let us check-in early before our conference. Beds were great. Hot showers were a plus. This was a quiet place to stay and close to the Irving convention center and restaurants. We always stay here when were in the area. Breakfast was hot and they have a good variety of choices. You can even eat healthy if you want to.
Remodel lacking! Lacking a toilet paper holder. Lacking a stopper for using the bathtub. Lacking a towel rack to hang your towels. Even a simple hand towel holder. Lacking drawers to hide all your clothes. Lots of open cubby holes. Oh, budget cut, leave out the drawers.
I have asked for a proper invoice during check-in, check-out, and subsequently in e-mails. I have called the hotel 4 times after returning home and one manager even told me I would receive the correct invoice, but a week later he didnt work at the hotel anymore and Ive never received the invoice with the details I asked for. I paid for my stay with a companys CC, which according to the tax law in my country (Poland) can only be made against an invoice which includes details of the company to which the CC has been issued.
The staff was excellent! They were very courteous and helpful. They have airport shuttle service beginning at 7 am. Also, they have shuttle service that will take you anywhere you want to go within a 5-mile radius. Free coffee, tea and infused water in the cafeteria. The room was nice and bed/pillows were comfortable. Great stay!!!
I have stayed at this location several times and have recommended it to out of town visitors. However, our stay this week was not very pleasant. If I had been alerted to the issues, I could have made a decision if I wanted to stay. However, it was not until I was checked in and unpacked that I discovered due to construction and COVID:1. No housekeeping during the 3 day stay2. No laundry room3. No fitness center4. No breakfast - only a bag5. Waking up with heavy construction noise over my headI was told that since I had booked and prepaid through a 3rd party, I was not able to cancel and move to a more suitable hotel.Very disappointing that I was not informed prior to check in!
At the moment they are under construction so its kinda hectic, with minimal parking. The people above me have One Thousand pound feet as the floor is not thick. I would suggest to get the top floor if you were to stay here. Other than that, the room is clean and spacious, bed is comfy and the front desk lady is very nice.
Stayed here because the rates at my conference hotel were outrageous, and I was pleasantly surprised. La Quinta was clean, newly renovated, and affordable. They also have a decent free breakfast and shuttle service. Staff was great too. One downside is that the gym is a little sad, but for the price thats not a big deal.
I have stayed at this La Quinta before and have never had any issues except for today, got into room and there was a pile of trash as you can see in pics, bed wasnt made, and all the towels piled up in bathroom. The woman at desk said on her computer that had been cleaned but obviously wasnt, didnt ask for a discount or free room, just disappointed room was like that.
Husband surprised me with a trip to Dallas for the holiday weekend. Had a different hotel booked and there was an issue with that hotel and ended up looking online for a different hotel...came across this one and read some reviews and with the price you couldn’t beat it. Got there let us check in early, very friendly staff, and James one of their shuttle drivers was friendly and very accommodating!!! Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping room tidy. The bed was super comfy, and most of all clean. The only issues we had was the room door had to be pushed with your foot at bottom to close and the shower head was definitely for the more vertically challenged, husband is 6’2” and he had to bend down slightly. But would definitely recommend this hotel and if we ever come back to Dallas, we will be staying here again!
Truly a superb experience for what we paid! The staff were very professional and curteous.Everything was spotlessly clean, the furnishings were all very modern and of high quality, the air conditioning effective, and the shower was spacious and hot!Im a light sleeper, but had no issues with thin walls and potentially noisy neighbors.Thoroughly satisfied with this hotel, I would highly recommend it.
I was expecting more because of the reviews I read on both Google and Travelocity. I was a bit disappointed though! The night before our stay there was a massive rain storm. I dont know if that caused issues... The halls and rooms smelled funky. The elevator was broken so everyone was put on the first floor. The front desk clerks and cleaners were very kind.Breakfast was great. We specifically looked for a hotel with continental breakfast so we could eat quickly and make it out for our flight the next morning. It was a great fit for that need.
The hotel is large and in a nice location. The rooms were clean and modern. The staff was friendly upon check in. The only reason this review is not five stars is because we reserved a room type according to our needs and upon entering the room we realized it was not what we originally reserved online. We were not notified prior to arrival or during the check in process. We called the front desk, but they could/would not change our accommodations and stated that rooms are not guaranteed. We would have stayed in a nearby location had we known ahead of time.
The rooms are what you would expect from your typical hotel arrangements. The breakfast is actually pretty good compared to other hotels Ive stayed (eggs, bacon, sausage, waffle maker, muffins, cereal, oatmeal, tea, coffee). Shower and restroom facilities were very nice. Shower is immediately warm and ready whenever you turn on the water. Otherwise, nothing out of the usual and no complaints.
Well where to start. The staff that checked me was rude and nasty. Sorry I was trying to check in and pulled you from whatever it was you were doing. No customer service, didnt tell me anything about the hotel, breakfast, parking, or where my room was.The room was clean and comfortable. When I checked out the next day, the gentleman was kind but nothing more. This place was a recommendation to boot.
They need more front desk help. They were so busy that it took us 30 minutes to get checked in. Then when we got to our room it smelled bad and everything was damp. I realize you cannot do anything about humidity outside but one would expect a Wyndham property to have better climate control. We have never stayed in a motel ANYWHERE before that everything was damp. The staff however were all very pleasant.
Checking in was easy. The front desk clerks were friendly and made sure that we were ok with having to climb stairs to get to our room because the elevator was out. Check out was easy and the clerk was very nice. The room was clean and cool. And was in such close proximity to the venue I was going to, which was the Toyota Music Factory. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed overnight with a family of five.Front desk was nice and straightforward, room was top notch and looked newly rennovated, and the breakfast was great.Pool was good however, the gym could use a lot of work; the carpet looked old and a bad smell was coming out of the machines. On another note, may have been due to bad timing but the representative on the phone during the night shift was pretty rude, didnt give out a straight answer or even a confirmation number for booking a room.Called the next day and the next representaive was super nice.
Absolutely loved this hotel. The price is great for the area (its pricey here) and very clean. I stayed in the Deluxe King Suite and loved it! Plenty of space with a second tv in the living area of the room. Stayed in the second floor and had a nice view of the pool. The pool and spa always looked great and well taken care of. The staff here are fantastic, very friendly and accommodating. Very centrally located as well, plenty of great restaurants nearby, plus located in between 2 beautiful golf courses (Cottonwood Valley and TPC Four Seasons Las Colinas, Hackberry Creek isnt too far either). I stayed twice here for Nissans Dallas training center that was only 10 minutes away.
I enjoyed my stay I really stayed in here because I like the area and wanted to check out the free breakfast it was alright kinda. The room was good it looks newly remodeled but its not a new building. Parking is free. They have water infused with fruit in the lobby. Would stay again but Im partial because I need to be in this part of town.
Young lady at the desk was a delight and helpful. They honored my online booking amount. Offered fun to go packs for my 2 children. Breakfast was awesome! Had something everyone wanted to eat! Nice snack shop available. Fruit water available in lobby and beds were comfortable! Rooms and towels all very clean 😊 5 star for me and pricing reasonable.
Stayed here for a couple nights recently, and while the staff was all great, There were some pretty glaring maintenance issues. The floors of all the common areas, especially the hallways, were filthy, and never got vacuumed during our stay. The door to our room was improperly hung and there was a full inch gap at the base, requiring stuffing towels in it every time I closed the door, for privacy and to help block out hallway light and noise. The cover to the can light in the entryway of the room was missing, leaving just an exposed lightbulb. Also should add that the breakfast is totally subpar relative to comparable hotels. As cleanliness and maintenance are my top priorities in a hotel, I would not recommend staying here.
Our stay at the hotel started off bad from the beginning. We booked a 2 queen bed suite which was given to another person and were given a 2 double bed room. The room was small and the beds were very unfortunate comfortable. There was a dog across the hall that would bark off and on all night. At 6 am they did not even have coffee ready down stairs. The only reason for the 2nd star is that the room was at least clean. We were not happy with our stay.
My family if 5 fit very comfortably in the 2 queen and sofa bed suite. Room looked and smelled clean. My little kids loved the Texas shaped waffles and my husband and 16 yr old loved the bagels with bacon and sausage. Saved us at least $75 for breakfast for 2 days. We arrived early and luckily we were able to get an early check-in. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because of the 2 guest we found. My husband killed 2 spiders. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay.
Its a nice place and going through renovations. The staff is friendly. Its not really the fault of La Quinta, but there was a domestic confrontation that started early and continued through the night. At 2:30am the next morning, the fight turned violent. Screaming and slamming, cries for help made us feel uncomfortable enough to check out a day early.
First off, the hotel is a bit older, you can tell by looking at the ceilings in the rooms. Despite it being an older building it is very, very clean. The room smelled clean and that made all the difference to me. We had our pups with us so the staff made sure to put us on the first floor. The gentleman at reception also gave my kids cute little goodie bags, needless to say that won them over immediately. It was too cold for us to use the pool (outdoor pool only) but it looked like it was very well taken care of. The breakfast was great-staff was constantly cleaning tables off and refilling food/beverages. Good access to major highways but off the main road. Fairly close to the TRE (Trinity railway express) and on the dart bus line. My only suggestion is to put dog doo recepticales out for guests. I will stay here again when I come back for a visit.
Very nice place. Although there is no restaurant or c-store within walking distance, the hotel will offer a shuttle. Check carefully with desk clerk about the pet fee/ deposit. My company let me stay there on a corporate lodging card, but they uncharged every day I stayed there.
Typical hotel. Nothing to write home about. There are only two floors and the second floor has huge ceilings which is a major plus. The shower in my room never got hot during the two days that I stayed there which was definitely a bummer and could have been a one time issue, but, nevertheless, you absolutely get what you pay for here which is a cheap place to stay whilst traveling.
The property was absolutely beautiful being remodeled and the safety, service and access to other things in the Irving TX community was absolutely fantastic. I rested exceptionally well I was able to work online without a hitch, or have any kind of problems. And I appreciate my loyalty programThank you,Janet Foy...Miss Vickie - You are The Bomb!
The area in the lobby is really nice. There is seating for about six at the door and a large table for meetings and breakfast in the next room. There is additional seating in that room. The woman working behind the counter was very nice and helped us figure out why there are fireworks going off nearby. The Four Seasons Resort is across the street, and there was a wedding. It was in a quiet part of town - no residential or retail nearby, only offices.
The place was clean and in decent neighborhood. They provide shuttle service within 5 miles. The front desk clerk was helpful with information, friendly, and checked us in quickly. We were upgraded to a king suite for free due to overbooking on the king. Only flaw is the elevator is on one side so you must walk the long hallway.
Replying to owner:Definitely will not return to your property sorry doesn’t make up for denying request to chg rooms after 4calls & ZERO follow up Almost$100/night for wobbly toilet loose cracked tile poor maintenance &questionable Customer service Money better spent somewhere else
Once again breakfast was taken up 1 hour before scheduled time, this makes the 2nd time the staff has done this...and people were still walking in for food. I wont stay here again. Showerheads dont work well either. Not all rooms have microwaves or refrigerators like advertised. So I was unsatisfied with this stay.
The Place Is Being Remodeled. Went On A Sunday So Didnt Hear Construction Til Monday Morning. Location Was Not Near Any Buisnesses So That Made It Nice. Trees Blocked Out The 100 Degree 🌞Room Were Clean & You Could Tell They Were Remodeled But Somethings In The Room Like The Light Switches, Closet Doors & Tub Was Old & Beat Up Lookin. If You Going To Remodel Dont Half A** It. Bed Was Ok Kinda Sinks You In. A/C Was Perfect. Tv Was Nice Size & Connection Was Good. Plenty & I Mean Plenty Of Outlets To Charge Things. Counted At Least 26 😎. Microwave Was Clean Along With Fridge Another Plus. The Free Internet Was Pure 🗑 Though Hard Time Connecting. The Door Closing From Other Rooms Is Waaay Too Loud. Non Stop Slams From Door Closings. Biggest Reason For Not 4 Stars... The BREAKFAST. I Saw The Reviews & All You See Is Great Great Great Food. Pre Covid 19 That Is. That Breakfast Bag Was So Pathetic They Should Be Ashamed. Could Not Have Cost More Than $2 Bucks. Cheap No Name Water Bottle, Tiny Mango Cup, Small Breakfast Bar, VERY Tiny Orange Juice Can, & A Darn Peppermint. 😆 WOW So Cici Pizza Can Re Open The Buffet Bar. But You Cant??? I Mean Cici Pizza Has A Plastic Cover Over The Bar Area & Employees Get What You Ask For. So La Quinta Cant Get An Employee Thats Doing Absolutely Nothin To Go Stand & Give Customers From 6am To 9am Food??? Very Cheap Cop Out. Now That I Think More That 3 Stars Goes Down One More. 2 Stars For That Cheap Breakfast. If You Dont Want To Serve For Only 3 Hours How About Giving Cereal? Or Items That Can Be Warmed Up In Room??? Or Even Better Dropping Prices On Room. Because That Cheap Bag Was Worth More Than The Items In It.
The room was very clean, however, there was no hot water in the morning for showers or washing your face. If you get a room, request not to have an adjoining door to the next room... They are not so d proof like a wall would be! It was very noisy even at midnight, and the dogs across the hall barked early in the morning. Didnt have breakfast. Staff was very friendly.
This hotel charged me for a night that I didnt stay there although the representative at the registration desk assured me that it was okay and I wouldn’t be charged for the reservation made in error. I made the decision to stay at the hotel on the correct date because the front desk told me I wouldn’t be charged for the reservation made on the wrong date. If I had known I was going to be charged for both dates, I would not have stayed at the hotel. While I understand reservations should be cancelled in a timely manner, occasionally mishaps do happen and I do feel the hotel should stand behind what I was told. In the past, I’ve stayed at La Quinta’s regularly because of the pet policy, but based on this experience, I will look at other options in the future.
I traveled to Irving for business and stayed at La Quinta. The hotel was well kept however no body lotion was provided in the room. The free happy hour is great after a day of work. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best that Ive had though, totally worth it!
Mediocre- the batteries in the remote were out and it was advertised that the room had HBO when it didnt. The AC didnt work very well, and the room was warm during the night. The handicapped room was well equipped and the shower/ shower chair was suitable for our purposes
I LOVE the food here, the beds are comfortable, the pool is a dream the free wi-fi is AWSOME, I just had an all around good experience here. I recommend it to ANYONE with dogs or cats. I LOVE it here and Ill make sure to come back! Thanks to all you hard working folks here!!!!
Superb service: Hotel called my room 10 minutes from checking in to ensure everything was going greatLarge rooms: My room had a king sized bed, a couch that fits 3 people, and ample room.Hotel location: close enough to the airport to be able to wake up worry-free AND far enough to where I didnt hear airplanes at night.Price, although not high, certainly met quality!Certainly your best bet if visiting Dallas or surrounding areas!
Staying here for work for 4 days.Internet is off and on. Speeds are slow for the area, but acceptable.Today the TV in the breakfast room was on ESPN playing a basketball game. I went back to the room so I could watch morning weather etc.Breakfast is really small for a hot breakfast No English muffins, no little doughnuts. Just basic stuff. The rooms are fine, bed is fine. The television channels make no sense at all. I dont even know how to explain them. digital channels, (100.1, 100.2, 100.3, 204.8 ect.) I cant figure out what channel is what, or where. The shortcuts the motel has taken to save money make the place seem lower class.
The front desk clerk, Denton was amazing. By the next morning my experience turned into a nightmare! Miss communication at the front desk turned it into one of the worst experiences Ive ever had at a hotel. I would not go back to this La Quinta ever because of the rudness from the morning desk employee named Vickie! I will be contacting there main office to file my complaints.
Everything was ok till we noticed a extra-charge of 50 dollars. They have blamed our dogs for scratching the restroom door. We never let our dogs alone or locked.Sincerely, I don´t mind to pay 50 extra dollars if it was my fault, it is not a lot, but I feel cheated, disappointed and frustrated.I would like to prevent future customers from this situation.
My wife and I flew in from SFO for a Cowboys game and we were stunned to find out our reservation was not in the system! The hotel was full and the Director of Sales Traci Russell was quick to step in. We had originally booked through Expedia and for some reason they didnt get our reservation into La Quinta. She was the one who stepped up to help us NOT EXPEDIA. Traci had to call around town to check availability even offering a free nights stay the following night. After about two hours on the phone with Expedia and checking other hotels she found us availability at the Omni. When my wife took the phone to speak with the Expedia agent to confirm this they tried to charge her the additional price difference between the two hotels! We voiced our displeasure and they quickly back tracked and waived the cost difference. Although we did not get the opportunity to stay at The La Quinta Inn, Traci went above and beyond to help us. I wish I could say the same for Expedia! We have used Expedia a lot over the years, and this was very poor customer service from them! Thanks again Traci!
Don’t bank on the shuttle service if you are planning on using them to go to the airport! They told us they could take us to the airport in the morning when we booked with them but at check in, they didn’t have shuttles running before 7am. When we returned from our trip they were unable to pick us up at noon (after we waited for an hour). We had to Uber both ways.

2022-04-22My experience at this hotel was incredible! The shuttle picked me up seamlessly from the airport upon my arrival. My suitcase zipper broke and the staff fixed it for me. The rooms were spacious, very clean and peaceful. Gym was sufficient for a hotel gym and breakfast was good also! Will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend!

2022-06-08My friends and I were able to book the same day we needed to stay after our horrible experience at a different hotel we were supposed to have a booking at. We went through Booking.com and once we arrived shortly after booking, they got us our hotel keys and into our room without a single issue! The front desk staff were wonderfully polite and made the experience very easy and comfortable, and checking out on the 5th was just as easy. The room was very clean and the beds were comfy, it was a great place to relax and escape the Texas heat and the commute from this hotel to the Irving Convention Center was fairly short which is a huge plus for my group! Room service was very polite and in general, our stay ended up being very pleasant on all fronts. We will be coming back the next time we need to book a hotel in Irving!

2022-03-26Positive: Our room was nice and comfortable. Parking was convenient and accessible to the entrance. Negative: The complimentary breakfast was oddly minimal. There were only waffles; packaged rice crispy treats, oatmeal, and plain sliced bread. Also, the sofa in our room needed cleaning. There were dark streaks on the chaise part of it where you put your feet up.

2022-05-01We booked with La Quinta this weekend for my daughter’s gymnastics competition and we were so impressed! We did get some misinformation from the 1800 when we first made the reservation but once we got there the front desk fixed everything for us. The rooms were clean and the location was very nice and upscale. Would definitely go back!!

2022-05-08Checking in after a 24 hour drive,on 03/7/2021 between 2100-2200HR was a miserable experience. front desk clerk was AWFUL!!! I sincerely tried to be compassionate for her situation as she was working and it may have been a difficult night, but please give me a break. Room had a musty scent. Tub was in poor condition. I would have lived with the condition of the hotel as it’s listed as a 2 star hotel in Texas, but the clerks attitude just enhanced my negative review. If the fatigue wasn’t great I would have seeked alternate arrangements.therefore I would not recommend this establishment. Stay somewhere else that appreciate your patronage.

2022-05-10I come out to Dallas every month, I used to stay at an Airbnb but they rented the unit out so I decided to start staying in a hotel instead in April of 2021. Ive stayed here ~a dozen times since. I was going to stay here last week but then I decided to go to another hotel based on the experience I had with the front desk and I doubt Ill return. when I stayed here in March I had a red eye flight so I landed at like 6 am, I paid an early check in fee rather than booking two rooms, which was fine but when I had a similar situation with this most recent trip the front desk guy said Id need to pay for another night, and quoted the price higher than whats on the site. I was only in Dallas for 12 hours for this trip so I didnt see why I should pay for two rooms and at a higher rate so I went to another hotel.over the last year Ive had mostly fine experiences staying here, the front desk staff is kinda rude but the other staff is pretty friendly. theres one (younger) guy that was at the front desk a few times when I stayed there but I cant remember his name, everyone else was pretty rude. the rooms are usually clean but there have been a few times where the rooms were kinda stuffy or had a weird smell to them, I blame the Texas weather for that. during one stay in Oct I found bugs crawling on the bed when I went to check for bed bugs. I dont know if they were bed bugs- they were too small to be fleas or ants but I asked for another room (due to the bugs) they gave me one but the front desk lady was visibly annoyed. I never noticed bugs after that but I felt like I should mention that. there have been multiple times during my stays where housekeeping just straight up walked into my room, no knocking or anything, right after I checked in, like four or five pm for no discernable reason and that creeped me out and scared the hell out of me as I was relaxing in bed. Ive never used the airport shuttle, just never lined up with my schedule but when I started staying here they werent running it due to COVID and then they started running it M-F 8-5 so I hadnt really had the chance to. the location is pretty close to the airport but closer to MacArthur/Las Colinas and its nice that there is a Tom Thumb right up the street. also, if COVID stuff matters to you Ill mention that they werent wearing masks or would just chin strap em (even during the mandates), encouraging social distancing (besides the stickers on the floor) and they didnt seem to do extra cleaning/disinfecting. honestly it seems they do the bare minimum for cleaning most of the time. I realize this is Texas and a lot of people dont care about this kind of stuff, but if you do there are other hotels that are taking extra measures.overall, the experience has been fine, not great, but fine, and I probably wont be coming back based on the last experience there and Ill be taking my business somewhere else.

2022-01-07I am giving the room/hotel two stars only because we were allowed early check-in. Room we stayed in was #243, 31Dec 02Jan.I will also be writing Wyndham. The good: fairly decent family owned hotel. The improvements needed: pest control, the hotel has roaches bad. The roomkeepers do not clean properly. They will not bring fresh towels if you need them. I wanted to check-out, but the holiday and my party pressed we stay, since we were there for two nights to see the game. We found hair on the sheets and pillow cases. While looking for a lost item, we found old dog poo under the couch. We didnt expect much, but defintely a clean room.I would not reccommend you stay here, I wont.

2022-05-21FALSE ADVERTISING! They do not include a shuttle back to the airport like they claim. I have been in contact with the manager to get a refund for our Lyft. After asking for the receipt he only gave me a partial refund and is now ignoring my emails regarding the rest being refunded. We would have never stayed at this hotel if they didn’t advertise shuttle to airport included. The hotel room itself was not in great condition either. The toilet wasn’t even secured to the floor like it’s supposed to. I will never stay here or recommend anyone stay here. If you think your gonna get a shuttle back be prepared for them to tell you (after your all checked in) that they don’t have a driver and you must get your own transportation.
