I had a great experience staying at this hotel. I was blown away by the selection and quantity of food for breakfast. No stale rolls or muffins here. Plenty of choices. The bed was one of the more comfortable that I slept in in a while. The room was spacious and well laid out.Staff was super friendly and helpful. I have nothing negative to say.

Went for McAllen Marathon, rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very clean. Convention center is a short walk from the hotel. Friendly and helpful front desk rep! Didnt have a chance to check out the bar, but it looked nice and had the game on the big screens Would definitely stay here again!
The staff here are very friendly and accommodating if you are traveling with dogs. Your furry friend will feel welcome. The grounds are perfect for dog walks. Nice facilities and great hotel all around.
Amazing experience. We checked in November 8th. Unexpected extended stay. Highly recommend. They were on top of it with the cleaning and very friendly service here. Hot breakfast. Pool was freezing and hot tub was boiling lava lol. Highly recommend this place. 👍🏽👍🏽
The staff were super amazing!!! From check in to check out we had no issues. The hotel was very clean!! Breakfast system they have is amazing, but most importantly it was delicious!!! The ladies who served us deserve a golden medal for their service!!! The Bartender is very friendly, Happy Hour was amazing, drinks were on Point!!! The pool is gorgeous!!! Just wished the bar was closer to the pool!! Overall, super satisfied with this hotel!!! We havent been in a hotel were you do not want to leave!!! We will be back!! Thank you all for making our stay Great!!!!

Always an amazing stay! The property isnt brand new but has a new look. Everything is clean and crisp. Staff is always friendly. Breakfast here and the pool/hot tub make the stay way worth every dollar.
Lame, elevator kept us is suspense, purchased microwave popcorn downstairs, microwave in room burned it. Couldnt charge snacks to room, had to pay cash. Just felt low rent.

Extremely neat and clean Pet Friendly hotel with high Covid sanitization procedures!Big bright lobby with wide open relaxing areas, a cocktail bar, breakfast area and just nice random comfortable seating everywhere!Beautifully decorated for Christmas and New Years Eve! It was located within minutes of many everything.Check-in was very speedy and efficient. We were instantly in our room that was super comfy and relaxing and so was our pet. There was a pool and I think a hot tub, but we didnt get a chance to use that or breakfast the next morning.The hotel just had a good vibe and we will always choose this place for our future visits.I recommend that for a mid-range priced hotel that you stay here and you will not be disappointed. I cant wait to return!
The air vent in the restroom doesnt work, the shower door is installed backwards, so when I turn the shower on, I get hit with freezing water in the face. The rooms dont seem to be as big as they advertise, I got the king suite, and it felt pretty small compared to other king suites I have checked in to. Felt like I was accidentally put in the wrong room. Everything else is good. Breakfast is awesome. Please improve on happy hour selection!

The suites are spacious, beautiful decor. The head housekeeper decorated the lobby and Christmas Tree like a pro. Mary J and staff are fabulous. Very clean and relaxing environment. My shuttle driver was even accommodating and friendly.

Our favorite Inn in McAllen so far. Modern, clean, super comfortable beds and pillows, really nice outdoor pool, quite nice hot breakfast, location, location, location!We booked one of their Apartment rooms for two nights and they didnt have it available on the day of our arrival, so in compensation for it, they put us on a regular suite for the first night but didnt charge us for that night and the following day they switched us to the right room.We would like to see more hooks for clothes and a couple of clothes lines for wet clothes and towels. The staff is also not as friendly.Overall, we highly recommend this hotel and we will come back when we are in town again.

Fantastic experience. Lobby areas and room were very clean and comfortable. Staff and hosts were above expectation. Bartender was very efficient and friendly to all. My family and I were very impressed during our stay. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the McAllen/Edinburg area.
We got a room due to Hanna and it is very comfortable and front desk was nice, but not well trained. I say this because the young girl assured me that IF I needed an extra night as long as I asked for it early next morning no problem. I came down at 8 am to ask for another night because we still have roof damage and the manager said my room was already booked. I explained what the young lady had said and he said too bad so sad. I would of appreciated to have been told earlier and not be wondering if we would have a place to sleep.

This hotel is new. All the rooms are super spacious. The beds are super comfy. The pool is awesome. It has a great breakfast: two varieties of scrambled eggs, sausage, beans, cereal, waffles, bagels, bread, three varieties of coffee, orange juice, apple juice, it all tastes good. The location is great for shopping trips, next to palms crossing. Have stayed here several times and definitely will be back
Seriously one of the best hotels for the price. Amazing pool area. And for us THE best part was that they are pet friendly and do not charge extra like literally everywhere else. It was also really nice since they had an open field of grass right next to the parking lots and worked great for the dogs. Breakfast was also pretty good. Typical food though for that price of hotel. Over all Id say 4.5 out of 5!
We stayed here on 5/25/19-5/27/19:We came with family for Memorial Day Celebration at the War Memorial close to hotel. We have always had good service but this trip was different. We drove for eight hours , we arrived at hotel at 5:00pm and our rooms were not ready. Even after we had received text that rooms were ready. So disappointed, after driving that long we were ready to get into room and relax. We had two rooms and are also platinum members but that did not matter. We were not offered an upgrade nor offered to give us a room that was ready.The time before we also had to wait for our rooms but we did not complain and waited patiently. As much as we like this location we are looking for a different hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTED
We stay at this hotel every single time we fly there. We refuse to stay any where else because we are so happy with the service and rooms. They have the most delicious breakfast and honestly that is one thing we get so excited for. The rooms are incredibly clean the staff are Exceptionally nice and helpful! I have nothing but great things to say .
The whole family loved this hotel. They rooms are very clean and spacious. The location is perfect, since you can find almost everything you need at walking distance. Not to mention the Mcallen Convention Center is right next door. My kids fell in love with the big pool. Will definitely be staying there again.
Nice, new, and modern hotel with exceptionally low rates. The rooms are decently sized. Beds are comfortable. It is in the approach line for the airport so if you are extremely noise sensitive it may be bothersome, although I rarely heard planes from my room. On the other hand, if youre a fan of airplanes youll get to see a nice variety fly overhead at a pretty low altitude. Good amount of shopping and restaurants nearby, but youll still want a car to get to most.
Huge rooms, great pool and hot tube, better than the usual pre made breakfast (tortillas were fresh homade!) Water pressure was awful. GM attentive AND actually on property. Its a great location near the best of food options.
Theres an older gentleman work in the front desk its a little snooty but other than that this place is pretty cool..
Awesome experience! This is a newer hotel, and has some of the friendliest staff Ive come across. It has a nice bar downstairs, a little pricey, but no complaints. Great modern rooms with huge OLED TVs, and probably the nicest shower Ive ever used. Also has a great Mexican inspired hot breakfast. Definitely a great place to stay in McAllen.
My stay so far at this establishment has been great. I have been here for work for a while and i really like all the amenities that the hotel has to offer such as the breakfast which has lots of options. And the hotel bar is great i enjoy going to happy hour the bartender is friendly.
Its a nice joint with respectful staff. King size bed is comfortable. Rooms are clean. Thanks to the folks who made our visit enjoyable.

Friendly staff. They have breakfast a variety of food.. a bar on the first floor. Hot tub and just. Did not have a bad experience the only thing I wish they would change is the hours of the swimming pool and hot-tub it closed at 10 if it closed at 11 that would be better for the late travelers
We had a wonderful stay. The staff was terrific when we had questions. Breakfast was hot and stocked with Tex Mex and traditional foods. Comfortable and clean. Will recommend and hope to stay again soon. My only suggestion is to keep the pool open later.
We got there 12/31 around 8pm, it was four of us. We have 2 daughters, one is 5 and the other one is 2. We were in the room for like 10 minutes and the security guy knocked on the door and said someone was complaining that my kids were too loud, he there were nurses in the other rooms and all of them had to work the next morning. We explained to the staff that they are just kids, it was 9pm on new years eve, he said if someone else complains we are going to have to ask you to leave. So disappointing because I did my reservation one month in advanced.
LOVED my 3 night stay here! The bed was super comfy and the pillows are better than my house pillows! HUGE POOL!!Centrally located! Super friendly staff! We will be back :)
The environment inside the hotel was chill, it was clean and well organized. The rooms had lovely fluffy white beds and was an all non smoking hotel. I enjoyed my stay and when I woke up I had free breakfast.

My associate and I were in town for a business meeting. We had a late check in due to weather conditions, however when we arrived the staff was super helpful and checked us in quick. The next day we needed to print out some paperwork for our meeting and were in need of some office supplies. The manager Juan immediately acknowledged us and gave us a 2” binder. We tried to pay for it but he wasn’t having it. They also were kind enough to grant us a late check out. Great staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds and not to mention great breakfast choices and a very clean gym with just what you need to get a quick workout in. Thanks again Juan and Diana and we’ll definitely be staying at your hotel going forward!
First time ever staying at a La Quinta hotel. Being someone who always stays at Hilton family hotels, Id be lying if I said I wasnt disappointed when my company booked me here for an extended period (60 days). I gotta say that I was blown away by the hotel, staff and breakfast. I had the greatest stay and will definitely be staying at Wyndham properties in the future. AMAZING staff, truly made you feel welcome and I miss the th homemade salsas on he breakfast buffet already!

The front desk attendant is very rude. He seemed to be annoyed by my questions and hung up without saying goodbye or inquiring whether or not I had any other questions. I am scheduled to be here until Sunday. I am seriously thinking about checking into another hotel. Despite unsatisfactory service by the front desk attendant, the room is spacious and clean.
I recently I had the honor to capture Mahima and Shants Indian wedding ceremony at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham. The staff was amazing and the conference rooms were excellent!
Very clean, accommodating, great pool and hot tub! Employees at the front desk were beyond helpful, including the bartender. Great family atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again.
Second time visiting this hotel and still a very good experience. Comfortable room with attractive decor, very nice lobby, 2 comped drinks at the bar Mon-Thurs, excellent location for convention center with several walkable restaurants. Shuttle is available for errands in 5mi radius--possible downside is longer wait for it when another customer is taking advantage of this (I waited a bit longer than Id like for airport pickup). Breakfast is above average in my experience in this hotel class, with a few different options for both protein and carbs and not too much of the sitting out for hours flavor and texture you get at some hotels. Very good coffee dispenser available 24/7 with everything from straight hot milk to whipped black coffee.
Great covid guidelines. Staff was friendly and didnt did fuss for extra towels and bedding as I have experienced at other inns.

Really upset ,2 nights with out getting sleep . A lot of mosquitos in the room , room had a pee smell ! Loud party next door people where loud and hitting the walls !!! When to front to complain, they could at least move us to a different room .

Wow. When I first walked into the place I was greeted and I was fascinated on how gorgeous it was. The front desk people were truly nice. My room was pretty much spotless, the shower was so cool it was a glass sliding door, the bed was amazing, just everything was amazing. The pool was beyond that though. I wish I had that pool in my back yard haha. Plus the convention center was walking distance when I had an event there. This hotel even had a shuttle that brought me back to the bus station when I had to leave...wish I didnt have to leave in the first place haha. I had such an unforgettable experience. Thank you!
Fresh new hotel close to shopping, dining, and close to highway 83 making it easy to get to different events in the McAllen area.The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Rooms we clean and flawless. I cannot comment on the breakfast because I slept in, but as far as the hotel room, lobby, and area around the hotel - I was very impressed.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and were the highlight of my stay. There was complimentary breakfast and wifi, which are nice comforts. The amenities were lacking, though, as when I forgot my contact lens case they were unable to provide one and I had to find a 24 hour drug store to replace it so I could take my contacts out and sleep.
This a great hotel, i have been staying at this hotel for several months now and i couldnt feel more at home. The staff does a wonderful job of accommodating my needs. Super nice hotel! Nice and modern lobby, lobby bar, amazing swimming pool and hot tub. Free wifi that worked great throughout the building. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and high end. Comfortable beds and big screen tv.
We stayed here for a family visit. The cleanliness, friendliness of the staff, the bar, the pool, everything was beyond expectations. It was also dog friendly and the cocktails were made from scratch and very tasty. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back

This is a good location in McAllen. The airport is close by (10 minutes) and they offer a shuttle service to it as well as other locations in town. We stayed for a week and the staff was top notch. They offer good advice on places to visit and are willing to go above and beyond to make your stay more enjoyable. The convention center, very nice restaurants, and shopping are all within walking distance. This is a good place to chill if your going to be in McAllen.
Modern, clean, and comfortable hotel. I can see why this was named the best la quinta un the nation. Maria and her staff were fantastic as well. We used the hotel for a work training and everything was perfect.
Not toddler friendly, they have showers instead of tubs. The bed has a support bar that sticks way too far on the side of the bed that my child hurt herself on. They are chinchy with the cookies, they only put out so many and that is it so i dont get too see cookies but once a day. There is no complimentary toiletry if something is forgotten but they do have a store where everything is over priced for sample items. Bad wifi, tiny rooms walls are thin. The rooms are smaller then a hotel 6. The pool is very foul smelly, not sure if it is salt water or lack of chlorine, seems very unsanitary.Positives: the house keeping is excellent and the service is good, breakfast is fullfilling and good. Also, very pet friendly.
Quiet. Easy access to expressway and surrounding eateries/shopping. Continental breakfast free. Staff has coffee available all day long. Decent sized and equipped gym.

The room was nice and the price is very good, but Im afraid Im going to have to give this hotel two out of five stars because the room was definitely not meant to muffle noises between the hotel rooms. Our room and the room next to us were connected by a door that it did very little (if at all) to muffle the noises from the occupants in the next room. I can hear everything. I can hear the TV shows they are watching right now, the conversations theyre having with each other, whenever they pick up or put down an object, whenever they sigh... Im not going to blame the occupants next door for making noise, it was normal things like chatting and listening to the TV. I cant blame people for living.But Im afraid I will have to attribute the lack of forethought in creating a room in this fashion. I see no point to a pretty room if you cant relax in it.Granted, this issue can be resolved with ear plugs, but things like isolating the noises within individual rooms seems to be common sense, especially when housing multiple guests.I am afraid I will not stay in this hotel again.
Do not stay here!!! Do not stay here!! Came knocking at my door at 1am looking for my family. Kicked my family out from a separate room after one noise complaint about a dog which was allowed to be there. Called cops on my family after security were being extremely rude.
The rooms are ok, a bit dark. However, clean and well maintained. The breakfast has lots of options and the coffee is very good. The staff that works the bar is awesome, very friendly!
Terrible service. They had no ice. Cleaned our room half ass. Constantly had to ask for towels. Knowing the amount of guests we were, we were offered towels for 2 only. Safe box never worked and the fridge wasnt working. Terrible place. Will not ever stay here again.
This is my preferred stayocation in mcallen and the valley area. Its clean, economical, has a bar in the lobby area. And the big plus is now they have a BBQ catering bhusiness in the parking lot area and the food is great. The pool is always clean and never cluttered. I would definitely recommend this location to all my friends and family.
Very nice hotel. Room was clean and big. The only thing they didnt have was a restaurant. No room service. Breakfast was free. Close to restaurants and shopping. Hotel was booked both days we were there. Friendly staff. Pool was packed with kids and loud music. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Would stay there again if I ever go back to Texas.
Great hotel and location with modern furnishings and HD Tvs in the room. The only thing I didnt like was that the TV in the front lobby was set to Fox News and the volume was pretty loud. Im not a news persons (especially first thing in the morning) especially Fox News. I would prefer to see nature footage or some kind of relaxing visuals instead of news.

We attended a 4 hour training here. The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and knew exactly where I was going and where to direct me because of my work shirt. Thank you staff for being so friendly.
So on tripadvisor I gave a good review. I made that review before we had finished our whole stay and that was a mistake.Room was nice. Clean, new. Showers only, no tub. Not a big deal for us, but people traveling with kids may want a tub. Walls are SO thin! I could hear everyone in the hallway talking and walking up and down. We could hear perfectly what our neighbors were saying also. Like they were in the room with us. Had to sleep with the TV on to drown out the noise. We had reserved Thursday thru Saturday nights since we were in town for an event at the convention center. We got a call Saturday afternoon asking why our things were still in the room and why hadnt we checked out. What? My email confirmation said we had the room for Saturday night also! Had to leave the booth at the event and go to the hotel to make sure we had a place to sleep that night!Breakfast was free and as expected. Instant eggs, sausage, breads, cereal. Stayed here bc on special rate for the event. Not sure we would stay again if not at the special event rate.
The best La Quinta Ive stayed so far. Brand new everything, great location in McAllen, breakfast included even morning and 24/7 coffee machine in the lobby. Highly recommended!

We came from Dallas to visit family, and here is where we stayed only for 1 night. Reasons, we checked in and immediately changed for the pool, I have a 17, 7 and 4 year old, in the first 5 minutes the assistant manager came out in a very fast pace asking my family who we were and if those kids in the pool where his, after giving her our room number she stated that many teens from the neighborhood jump the fence to go swim and she thought we were them. She asked my husband to get wrist bands from the front desk to wear for the pool. Now, there were Caucasian people swimming also, nothing was told to them nor did they have wrist bands. I also asked where was the timer for the jacuzzi, she said there was NO timer and the jacuzzi was broken and she will have the maintenance come right away to take a look at it...I walked around again and actually found the timer and turned it on and worked fine. Oh by the way, no maintenance ever came and we were there for an hour. After getting out I was given a hard time because I asked for towels, asking again what room Im in. We stay at hotels at least 2x a month every month, this hotel will never get a visit from us again. I hope they dont give anyone else a hard time about their pool.

The McAllen La Quinta is in a perfect spot, right of the highway, in the heart of the best spot in town. The rooms are small for two, but the quality is 5 star. Very clean and always smells good.
The rooms are nice and spacious enough, the bathroom is also a nice size. The breakfast was better than expected at a hotel. Would recommend.
I always stay here when Im in the area. Customer service and accommodations is always great. I travel a lot for my job and stay at a few hotels a month and I have yet to find one who serves a better breakfast.

Wonderful, brand new hotel!! La Quinta out did its self with this new concept. Everythings is the newest concept from what Ive experienced. I travel alot for business and i was shocked when i stepped into this building. What i also liked ia that it is in the convention center area which is all very upscale!!! Well done ******* stars!!!

Reserved a room via Expedia and was running behind on the road and inquired on cancelling. I was running late and tired and preferred to get a hotel at my current location on the road. Called the hotel directly and spoke to an employee (M****s) who assured I would not be charged. I ended up getting charged and now the hotel manager (J. A.) states he cannot refund me because I do not have a cancellation number. I am very upset because I asked the employee over the phone TWICE, if I could no longer cancel then I would continue driving and arrive there late in the evening. It is my mistake to not have requested a cancellation number, but I would have expected more out of the manager to look into the matter and refund me the money his employee stated I would not be chraged.
Not like anyother La Quinta!! Awsome pool for the family and beautiful rooms lobby is very modern enjoyed the bar!! Ask for Ms. Marium great bar manager. Not to mention the entire staff at the newest and best La Quinta in the area!

I’m just going to be honest,and Straight forward . The rooms are nice the building is nice but the slamming of the room doors is ridiculous La QUINTA should adjust the doors so they do not slam when a person inters or exits the room . This door slamming wakes other residents up when they may want to be asleep. In future construction of La QUINTA buildings more insulation and or sound deadning construction materials should be utilized . No one likes to be woken up by a door slamming.

The hotel is great, its close to the convention center so its great for catching events there. Restaurants close by too, plenty of choices. The rooms are clean and big, the staff is helpful.

The shower door is on backwards, have to stand in the shower to turn it on. Card reader on the door only works 20% of the time. Has the most basic cable channels possible. Very little sound proofing between rooms.

Book The Room online. Showed up to the hotel and realize I was at the wrong La Quinta. Instead of them turning us away, they went ahead and transferred the other location to their facility. Thank you very much. Now I know exactly where to stay when I go back into town

Becareful they will try to scam you if you are not paying attention they gave away my room because i was later but they still charhed me and charged the next person so they will try to double dip. I had to call presidential office and so on.
I got kicked out cause my child was crying. They didnt even give me a refund. Never again will I stay there again. I also had to go and rescan my keys to go in my room. Horrible experience.
The general manager Juan Adalpe should not be in the position hes in. Got employees there that know more than his dumbass. He spoke to me without even trying to help us on our issue. Dude is a waste of time. The owner should replace him soon.

Everything was fine, except when i came back after the checkout looking for my laptop charger but the lady there couldnt do anything about it, she couldnt check the llst and found neither the room.

2022-02-19We had an awesome 9 night stay here! Ive never stayed in a hotel that smelled so well. It smells like Coach Poppy perfume, but not overpowering. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, house keepers always on their A-game, front desk was very helpful in navigating the area, the rates were very reasonable, and the breakfast selection was one of the largest Ive seen. The food was definitely above average for hotel breakfast. The entire property was clean and quiet. They also offer shuttle service not just to the airport, but anywhere in a 5 mile radius. Property is in a fantastic location as far as being close to everything. 10/10 recommend staying with them!

2022-06-02First time here and absolutely loved it! Will book here for future visits. Continental breakfast was splendid with great variety. Rooms were wonderful as well as cleaning staff. Only issue I had was the crib I requested at time of booking was not there and also not brought to room when I requested at front desk but we made it work on the king size bed with son sleeping on couch bed which he preferred anyways.

2022-04-09The room and hotel were clean and comfortable. The bar had just reopened. The conference rooms met our expectations. The daily breakfast was always hot and fresh. The best part was the staff, Wendi and Ismelda we helpful and professional. My stay was lengthy and I would definitely stay here again.

2022-04-07Stood here for 2 weeks and did not have any issues. Rooms were cleaned and restocked every day. Breakfast was always pretty good for a hotel. Manager was extremely hospitable, front desk was polite and helpful from the beginning to end. Would definitely stay again.

2022-06-025/5 Stars, Professional staff went above and beyond their normal duties to help an out of Towner who was exhausted after the flight. Spotlessly clean room with a comfy bed. Easy to find a spot to park. Check in was quick no hassle, even at 1:30am after my flight held me up.

2022-04-13Have travel and stayed in many suites all over the US and LaQuinta is a 5 star. The room was super clean and decorated really nice. Felt like home. The staff was super friendly and cared about the needs of the guests.The gym had all your workout needs, had more equipment than most places which was great. Lastly, the morning breakfast was by far the best. So delicious. So many choices. I would like to say thank you and would highly recommend LaQuinta if your in McAllen and are looking for the perfect Inn.

2022-05-19Probably the best La Quinta Ive stayed at. Clean rooms and great amenities. Service is okay, they have a happy hour and give free drink tickets so thats definitely a plus. Roger and Roy are very attentive and always help when asked.

2022-04-08I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and nice everything was. However, I didn’t rate it a 5 due to the Utub. The “U” stands for useless. If someone can figure out how to use it as a tub, well they’re smarter than me.
