I took a solo trip here with my pup and stayed at one of their kabanas. I was shocked when I got there at how amazing the views were of the lake! The inside felt like a little hotel, and outside had all the amenities of a nice campsite. They have a personal firepit available for you with deep metal sides (a bit windy here being right off the water), an outdoor sink + prep area, and a small charcoal grill. I was able to request firewood and fire starter in my reservation (for a fee), and after messaging them I was there, they brought it out to me. Even left a personalized note welcoming me.Really liked how they had the extra amenities such as bug spray, snacks, meds, things like that available for purchase right in your cabin like a little mini bar.The sheets were soft, the pillows were great, and the chairs they had provided outside were great too. There were lots and lots of bugs at night (may be a camping newbie, but it could have been cool for them to give you some tips on keeping the bugs from getting inside of the cabin), but that’s to be expected getting into warmer weather. I was able to set up a hammock in between two trees and didn’t feel bothered by anyone at all here. I loved that the community was gated, it felt very secure, and I felt safe as a woman traveling alone. The wildlife refuge down the road was a highlight of my stay, but there’s also plenty of birding you can do right at the campsites. This is a great new, quick getaway from DFW, close, but just far enough.Bathrooms were clean, although I do wish they would have provided some kind of mini toiletries for the glamping guests. Even if there was some way to purchase some mini toiletries in the building, I would have paid the price for that extra touch.I feel like I was the only one staying here this time (early in the season), but that was another favorite part of my stay. Everything was quiet, safe, and a nice way to get away from the city. Fully equipped grocery store was just 15 minutes down the road, I think they had more camping appropriate groceries than I could have even brought with me.Will definitely be back to stay here.
Celebrated my birthday weekend here. I glanced in the kasita. It was very quiet, peaceful. The grounds and bathrooms were clean and spacious. The kasita was as advertised, small but quaint, all the outlets worked, it was clean. Had a great time walked the beach area and my dog taking a dip in the lake. A better place to visit when it’s warmer so I could enjoy the water but very pretty sunsets. Just like every camping trip there’s some hiccups but Tonya the staff in the grounds was quick to jump in and fix and help as needed, they even gave decorated the kasita for my birthday. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy another weekend here 😊
Glamping in Paradise on Lake TexomaFrom my original deposit, to checking out after the trip the entire process is contactless, and ran incredibly smoothly. They use text to communicate, which was great!Living in Downtown Dallas, I wanted a spot to get away and Paradise was just what the Dr. Ordered. The Sunset over the lake was postcard worthy. It was quiet, but not scary isolated quiet. I met a few neighbors, and everyone that drove by waved and smiled… it was a great alternative to downtown life. The websites clear and thorough, I personally WAY over prepared so here’s a couple tips for your trip.1. The only way to cook when Glamping is a charcoal grill, although awesome, I’ll pack an electric griddle next trip. There’s plenty of power both inside and out of each cabin.2. There’s a grocery store about 5 minutes away, they have a great butcher and deli, as well as charcoal, ice etc.. so no need to over pack… I will 100% under prepare next time and stop there, and then use the mini fridge… so no need for bulky coolers etc… except a beer chest!3. Speaking of beer… the grocery store sells beer, and there’s a liquor store about a mile farther up the street.4. If you are not used to making campfires, get those easy light logs from Amazon or the store.. with a fire pit for each cabin, you don’t want to be the one asking for help.5. Parking: I wasn’t sure if cars had to park in the lot, but was happy each site comes with space to park 1 car.. or JEEP!6. Restrooms: the Glamping restrooms were clean and only about 100 steps from most cabins. Think of a hallway, with 8 doors…each with a private full baths, Stand up shower, sink and room to dress etc..That’s it! The experience was 10 out of 10 and I’ll 100% go back wIth Fitz (my doodle) again soon!
We stayed here this past weekend and loved it. Check in allowed us to drive right to our campsite and setup without having to stop by the office. The sites are set up to where you have plenty of privacy and good beach access. The boat ramp right by the rv sites is a huge plus. Oh and they delivered fire wood to our site also. There are places nearby to eat also if you don’t feel like cooking which we took advantage of. This place is awesome!!
This spot is fantastic! Easy road trip from Austin area. The campgrounds are gorgeous, so well kept up and super clean. The views on the lake are peaceful and serene. We stayed in a little cabin right on the lake and had access to the bathrooms/showers which are fantastic! So clean all day and night, secure and spacious. The cabins are adorable and decorated very cute. Beds are a great combo of firm and supportive and pillows perfect! The mini fridge saved us from having to get ice everyday and the grill made life super easy. The hammock garden is a great idea and a nice spot in the shade to relax. Don’t hesitate to rent a spot here or camp-it’s very peaceful and a secure and safe spot with gorgeous views.
Amazing experience! The Kabana is perfect size (and super cute). Right on the shoreline, amazing views, very nice day-use area, and the bathrooms for the glampers were extremely clean (looked new) with lots of showers. I really liked that there was an outside sink/water and grill - made for a wonderful time cooking right along the lake. What a backdrop! Huge bonus for me was dogs were allowed. We had such a memorable experience!
We stayed at Paradise on Lake Texoma during the weekend of Aug. 13 - 15, 2021 and stayed at Site #24. First of all the reservation process was easy, and then they send you text messages where you can check-in ahead of your trip and send important information using this system, so no need to stop by the office or anything... EAAASYYYY!!The park has beautiful views to the lake. You have easy access to the lake and some beach area so bring your kayak or paddle board. The lawn is well maintained and the bathroom is clean.I will visit again as its not far from home, but its a perfect getaway to feel your away and have some peace.PS: Bring a long hose (75 ft at least.) to reach the water faucet. They are far from the site.
Excellent experience! Paradise is truly fitting for this place. Beautiful campground right on the lake, RV spots are gravel and level. *Take note of website notes - you will need atleast 20 sewer hose and 50 water for most sites. Great communication from office staff through text, without needing to stop by the office. (Although we did and they have a cute general store with necessities and Lake Texoma gear)We are excited to come back again!Side note: Verizon cell signal is solid at around 3 bars.
My family and I were there during Father’s Day weekend and we had a great time. The grounds were clean, and site was perfect.I just beg that they keep the prices where they are. Absolutely fantastic. We will be back and we now have a campsite # picked out for the future!
I went to Lake Texoma with friends. While they were all in motorhomes and campers I alone was tent camping. I was at the opposite end of Paradise Cove from them. What an amazing campsite and facility. Restrooms and showers all kept up very well. When I needed ice they brought it to me within just a few minutes. Though I was by myself, I was very comfortable staying. Some of the staff were staying not to far away. Staff friendly and helpful. Grounds consistently worked in and kept up. My only wish would be that they had some typop e of recycle up at the office when you check out. I know that would be difficult out on the grounds, but, one in the office should be easy to deal with. I will be going back!!!
Place was great. Stayed in a travel trailer with FHU. The site next to us had 3 dogs that were always unleashed but very well mannered however made my dog wine the whole time. Anyway the place was great. Had a fun time in the water with the dog, great place if you have a boat. Place was clean. Everything worked. Never saw a bar that they advertise but that might be summer only. There is a lady who drives around on a golf cart taking pics of campers parking situation. She also drove around at night with the headlight off which was kinda odd. The sites on the water have no shade at all so if you go in deep summer you will cook. Lady in the office was super nice. Office has Ice, Wood, drinks, basic camping stuff and nic/nacs.

2022-04-01Perfect getaway from Dallas! The campsite was a little over an hour away & had everything I needed for a great stay. I stayed in a Kabana with two dogs & had plenty of room. All staff communication was clear & convenient from booking to check-out, & the conditions were as good as/better than they look online. The huge, clean, bathrooms & showers were a particularly nice surprise, & the view cant be beat. Already planning my next trip back!

2022-04-17The casita (small cabin) was comfy and a few upgrades to a standard campsite made a big difference. For example there is an outdoor kitchen sink which is a real convenience. Also the shared bathrooms were amazingly clean and private. And the site managers are very accessible via text. For example you can text them and they will deliver firewood to your campsite. Would definitely go back.

2022-03-28Spent the weekend tent camping on site #6. Great spot! Waterfront with the best sunset views every night. The beach is nice and very clean. Lots of deer tracks on the beach. We needed firewood and ice, which was delivered to our site. Not the cheapest, but it’s still an option. Super clean, well maintained and safe for kiddos.I’m local to the area and have camped at paradise for 30 years. Another camper had said there were plans to convert the remaining campsites to Kasita’s, which would be unfortunate. There aren’t many places to still enjoy tent camping on the lake, however, it’s full of cabins. We will definitely keep coming back.

2022-05-11Stayed here multiple times, but last weekend was an awful experience. We had a small birthday party at the pavilion. They charged $7 PER PERSON for attendees to drive in and attend for one hour at the pavilion. (We followed the rules by not having more than allowed at any individual campsite as to not disturb other campers) We even asked if we could get a discount since the party guests would only be there one hour at the pavilion and were told no. Management is not understanding or helpful with our situation. Then we booked a “primitive” camp site for one night for our friends at the cost of $40!! I was not made aware that it was going to be $20 per tent on one site. FlThe spot and parking were so poor our friends had to leave and camp elsewhere. For $20 per tent the accommodations should me much better. So disappointed. As stated in other reviews not very family friendly. Best for a single or retired couple.

2022-02-24Absolutely amazing! My wife and I stayed in a Kabana (the glamping cabins right on the water). The views were terrific, everything we needed was there for us. The staff even left a rose and some chocolate for us since it was close to valentines. Awesome staff! The stars are very visible at night if you go out by the beach. The bathrooms are beautiful also, looks like a wedding venue! Overall an awesome place to glamp, camp, or just visit for the day!

2022-05-02The staff and office are always very helpful. They responded to our needs quickly and efficiently. We went to camp and escape the hustle and bustle of city life. It is a hidden paradise hense the name. We met up with friends and family and had a great time. We did tent camping, mini home camping and rv camping. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quick close to home getaway!! We’ll definitely be returning!!

2022-05-09We’ve stayed here a couple of times and we love it! The Kasitas are so close to the water. Expect a lot of sun if you’re staying right along the shoreline, otherwise there is plenty of shade. Our toddler loves the hammock area. The bathrooms are very clean and are similar to hotel bathrooms in design and quality (compared to a regular campsite bathroom). We love having the sink with running water at the site, too. The provided sponge, dishsoap, electric kettle, and coffee French press are added bonuses that are so convenient. We’ll definitely come back with more friends and family!
