My grandfather had a wonderful experience here at this facility. The staff were very professional and the nurses we’re very helpful and very informative about my grandfathers progress. They made sure his every need was met. My grandfather really enjoyed his stay there and did I mention he couldn’t get over how good it smelled. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of family felt care.

My grandfather was at this nursing facility for therapy. The staff was so attentive, positive, and helpful. After just 3 short weeks my grandfather surgery wound was healed and he still does the exercises he learned from the therapist. He has full range, and has high hopes thanks to the wonderful nursing, administrative, and therapy staff! I would recommend this place for your loved one. They are the best!!

They took wonderful care of my grandpa and helped him have a speedy recover. They made sure to always notify me when anything was out of the ordinary or to tell me how his progress was going. I would recommend this place to anybody who want to put their loved ones here because I will asure you they will be in safe hands.

The staff of Retama nursing home and rehabilitation just had a conference call with me ; nurse, dietician, supervisors etc. I am very happy with their professionalism and attention to detail. I wasnt expecting this. Great people , great staff and I highly recommend their services to anyone who might need them.

What a terrible place. We were told our family member was gonna get Medical treatment. The doctor was suppose be checking on him. We never saw a doctor once. There were about 30 patients and only 2 care takers checking in on them. My family member wet themself, and luckily we were there because they never came by to change him, even after we informed him. I understand they have to do their rounds but had we not been there he would have sat there wet for over an hour. I am pretty sure they sedate the patients to help keep them calm based on the staffing they have. There is no way our family member was going to get better being there, we decided to bring him home. Our family member is diabetic and they were feeding him foods high in sugar and carbs. I will say that the staff is really not to blame. They were nice and only following directions. Unfortunately they are not given appropriate direction nor did they know how to take initiative. We were not given the correct information about the facility and the name is misleading. It is not really a Nursing Center, but it is a Nursing Home where people leave their family members that they just cant take care of anymore. Rarely did I see anyone visit any other person at the home. When they were checking his vitals, they would write the information on a napkin and at one point forgot to input the information so they had no way of remembering was the blood sugar level was!!

Great facility. Staff is full of professionalism, care, and compassion. The administrator goes above and beyond to care for his residents and staff. When we made the decision of bringing my mother into a facility of this kind we were full fear and many questions. But within one week our minds change of what a nursing facility is like. Thank you Mr. Zepeda for all your good work in having this facility still feel like a home. Ive been there daily, and my mother has not one single complain. The CNA are loving fast and caring. My mother came in not eating and within the first two weeks she gained five pounds. That only shows you this facility cares for there patients. The daily input in the chart was very complete as they note every meal. I thank everyone in this place from miguel, victor the nurses. All the cnas the pt Dept alma Adriana Xavier. The activity sir. She is great the food is great for my mother. Micheal the social service director is awesome he goes above and beyond not only to help the patient but the family as well. Thank You all for caring for my mother in such a compationate way

I had my father in this nursing home for about a month. They had the worst service i have ever experienced. I have worked in nursing homes before ive worked in Alfredo Gonzalez veterans home and ive worked at the renaissance rehab center. When my father would need assistance of course he would push the cna button so someone can assist. An estimated time that the cnas or nurses would get there by was 2 hours and the reason it took only two hours is because i would go and talk to the nurses that my dad had been waiting for so long. The nurses did not know how to start an iv. Their experience with that was beyond ignorant. Basically my father was neglected...in their output books (which his doctor reads to see a daily report of his patient) they were putting that he had been eating when he hadnt eaten in over 2 weeks and there was no report to his doctor nor any type of intervention to see why he hadnt eaten. Finally they let my father sign himself out when we had medical power of attourney and made it seem like if he was going to be accepted in Renaissance behavioral when the nurse knew my father couldnt be accepted there because of the open wounds on his legs. Worse nursing home i have ever stepped foot in .

Horrible nursing home. Not trained to handle difficult patients and do not like to have any difficult patients. The administrator Roy zepeda (very unprofessional and rude ) uses the excuse of sending these patients to the behavioral center with supposedly already being accepted and then dismisses the resident without much of a notice or better yet does not let the patient even return. This place doesn’t even deserve a one star.
