The hotel was very nice and clean including our room. We were staying in Waco because my daughter was participating in the Ironman race that weekend. They went the extra mile to accomodate us as well as allowing us a late checkout time so she could attend the Awards Ceremony on day of checkout. BIG SHOUT OUT to Amanda (front desk) for helping us out and warming up our food before we headed back home as we had already checked out of our room. THANKS AGAIN. Will Definitely stay again. ALL the staff were super!
The highlight of our one-night stay was the evening attendant, who greeted me warmly upon arrival and each time we returned from an outing and provided enthusiastic amens for the two dinner places that we had chosen for our visit in town. The fish tank is worth heading down early for if youre waiting for a ride or a companion in the lobby. The breakfast is ample. The suite was comfortable. The pool and hot tub are inside. Im particularly glad, though, that my host was paying for the elegant accommodations.
My family and I enjoyed our 3 night stay here. We had the presidential suites and it was more then I expected!! This establishment is very elegant in all aspects. Ashley the evening front desk management is amazing she was most helpful and I give her 5 stars for her hospitality in making my family and I feel right at home. I suggest the pool and hot tub. We worked out and then went and relaxed in the hot tube the kids had a blast!!
Loved the indoor pool and the extended hours of the pool 6 AM - 10 PM. That was great for our grand daughters. They were able to enjoy an evening swimming and a morning swim. The hotel is immaculate and spacious both in the rooms, halls and public areas. The breakfast menu was wonderful, as it varied from day to day. We loved the aquarium to entertain the kids. The outdoor patio was a nice touch.
My daughter and I stayed here overnight after traveling with our little mini camper back and forth thru 3 states for 5 weeks to spread my families ashes. Our trip had a lot of issues and staying here overnight was perfect for being the last night of our trip and just what we needed. All of the staff was very helpful and courteous, the breakfast was nice with a variety to choose from and was very tasty. There is a bar also if you like to have cocktails. The hotel was very clean, our room was very clean and we loved having the extra space. The bathtub was wonderful because it was actually long enough to relax in. Everything in the room worked perfectly. The bed was very comfortable (my daughter fell asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow). We didnt experience any noise outside of our room so I assume the walls have nice insulation. The pool and jacuzzi was well taken care of and the water had a nice regulated temperature. The fitness room has just enough equipment to get the job done and a scale for weighing. There is a tech room for use but we didnt need to utilize it. Both outdoor patios were nice and one of them has a grill for bbqing. This facility is child friendly which was perfect for us. For the price, you wont get any better than this!...I paid $30 more to stay here at this hotel rather than staying at a low budget motel.I would definitely reccomend this hotel for anyone! If i were suggest anything, it would be to have a pen and a small notepad supplied in the room. This will be our go to hotel whenever we travel back to Waco.
We were attending the Serpas/Chambers wedding 09/18/2021. Our check-in experience was very nice when when we arrived around 3:00pm. The check-in staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and very nice. Sunday morning breakfast selections were plentiful and tasteful. I especially enjoyed the mini-waffle maker.I highly recommend SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waco Woodway.
We stayed here for three days to kinda test and recoup and we werent very impressed.First of all, the young man at the front desk was very dry and a little strange; not very friendly at all. When we really disappointed when we got to the room; the room was extremely musty, almost foul-smelling. We turned on the ceiling fan and A/C and it helped a little. Later when left and bought some room spray which helped with the smell. The front of the dresser the TV was placed on had what looked to be long scratches until I touched it and it was some sort of sticky substance that had been spilled down the front of the cabinet. I cleaned it and took a photo of the wipe I used because i forgot to take a photo before I cleaned it. One of the reasons we got this room of because it had a separate living area for my husband to work on the mornings. We were disgusted with the state is the whole area. We carry cleaning supplies so I cleaned the desk after I took photos. We almost left but we really needed the two rooms. Also, while there, the toilet broke and we had to call for help. The maintenance man came fairly quick, fixed the problem, and then was gone, so that wasnt a big deal. The bed was good, not too hard, not too soft, perfect for my bad back. The pool was nice and big---not really clean, but okay. The bathroom in the pool area was unusable because it had obviously not been cleaned in a very long time.Location was good and easy to get to and park; located close to food and shopping.I would probably stay here again if there wasnt another option but it wouldnt be my first or second choice.Btw, make sure you stop to see the fish in the aquarium, especially the large, pink fish.
Service was excellent. Room with two beds and separate room/space on sofa bed for oldest child was perfect. Two TV’s, two sinks and small kitchenette was ideal for our family. The morning breakfast was the best we’ve had at a hotel in months. Highly recommend. Kevin at front desk was a star.
Excellent service. Room was great: clean, neat, 2 tvs, receiving area plus the beds area, and 2 sinks: 1 inside the bathroom and 1 outside. The pool was great. The only contra maybe was that they showed a workout machine in the gym but they didnt have it. During breakfast, they offered eggs (boiled, scrambled) oatmeal, muffins, orange juice, milk, coffee, tea, variety of cold cereals and toppings. Also, variety of yogurts. Breakfast was great! In summary, Great hotel for the price!! :)
This Springhill is great for families. The kids will love the giant fish tank in the lobby, the heated indoor pool & hot tub and the full buffet breakfast. We stayed in the suite with pullout couch. This room is perfect for families as it has a door that separates the bedroom from the pull out couch. We were excited that this hotel offers a full buffet breakfast: as so many hotels are still only offering a stripped down breakfast (or or none at all) in this post covid recovery world. The hotel was quiet. It’s close enough to downtown but just far enough away to not have to deal with the I35 noise.
If clean, new, and friendly is the key, then this is a great hotel for you. I dont care for the breakfast but I think all Marriotts are essentially the same, not too fresh, not too healthy, but if you are hungry you can find something to fill you up and if not the coffee is good.
Great hotel! Spacious, well kept, incredible water pressure. The pool/hot tub is the nicest Ive seen in a hotel. 2 notes - 1. There was what looks like a pee stain on the sofa bed. 2. There were no waffles (TX shaped waffles are the best!). Deborah at the breakfast service was amazing and accommodating. Very friendly - my daughter loves her!
We were at the hotel for 5 days. We had a loved one in Providence ICU... the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We do our best to stay with Marriott, however we had to turn around and come back on Thursday and booked with a completely different chain. Might I mention, not only was the bed rock hard... the price of our room fluctuated every single night. Doesnt seem like being a part of the Bonvoy rewards did us a bit of good. I am extremely disappointed.
Our room was very clean and well maintained. The pullout bed mattress for my youngest was a little sketchy with coloring but we made it up and it was fine. Their wasn’t much for pillows in our room. A total of four on the bed. We gave two to our children and they weren’t very supportive. We asked for more pillows and unfortunately never got any. The air worked well in the room. It was nice having a small fridge and separate sinks. There were plenty of towels which was lovely and the TVs had good options for channels as well as streaming services. All in all we would stay again—we would definitely bring our own pillows.
Our family stayed here during our recent trip to Waco and we were so pleased with our experience. We took a road trip through Texas and this hotel was the cleanest, had the friendliest staff and was by far the best value of any we stayed at. We were so thankful for a hotel that had their full breakfast buffet open, not just pre-packed store bought pastries like most others while also maintaining a safe, healthy environment to prevent the spread of Covid. We appreciated that the pool and fitness center were also open, while many other hotels still have theirs closed. There were tons of hand sanitizer stations everywhere you went, so we were always able to sanitize our hands after touching elevator buttons, etc. I much prefer to stay at a hotel that gives me as the guest the option to enjoy hotel amenities (pool, fitness center, buffet, ice water in the lobby, etc.) if I feel they are safe, rather than the many hotels who have shut these down and failed to re-open them in the name of safety, when it seems pretty obvious they have remained closed in the name of cost savings to the hotel. The hotel has a great location, the area is very safe and drivable to everything you want to do in Waco. We will definitely stay here again.
We took a family trip to New York and stopped at several hotels along the way. This is a hidden gem. This was the best hotel we stayed in. The rooms were super clean, the hotel looked inviting and most importantly for my kids the pool was open. I am going to definitely use this hotel again if I have to stay in Waco.
Great place to stay when visiting Waco!!! The two room suites are perfect if you’re with someone who sleeps in but you want to go into the other room to watch TV. The living room has a mini fridge, microwave and sink, and the bedroom has an extra counter with sink. The bathroom has plenty of space and the water gets really hot!! We’ve stayed here 3-4 times and haven’t had any complaints whatsoever. The bar and bar area are spacious and in view of huge aquarium. With pool, fitness center, and a snack center with plenty of options. High recommended and is where we will stay next time. If you stay here make sure to get pizza at Slow Rise Slice House that’s prob just a mile away!#waco, #tworoomsuite, #fitnesscenter, #pool, #pizza
Excellent 3 day stay , comfortable , free breakfast and it was delicious , great small gym but efficient , staff was friendly , had a small issue and they fixed it right away , I work night shift and ask for extra few hours after check out to sleep and was accepted that was greatly appreciated To have those 2 extra hours . Will definitely come back it was peaceful , relaxing , enjoyable .
I am so glad I booked this hotel. It was very clean, friendly staff and all the amenities were available. The full breakfast was a plus for my family. There are many restaurants and stores close to the hotel. Great location and great hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone traveling.
We arrived at check-in at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. We were told that our reserved room type was no longer available. It had been given away. The desk agent said that he could give us a lesser room, but didnt indicate that there would be a discount on the room costs. I asked this question several times. With a wave of the dismissive hand, he turned us over to someone else. This gentleman was trying to find another room for us and it turned out to be an upgraded room. Upgraded being distinguished that it had an extra interior door. He said there would be no additional charge and why should there be when the problem was originated by the hotel? A third person walked up and in a condescending tone told us that the new room should cost us X dollars. It appeared that she was trying to make us grateful that they found a room and was not going to charge us more. Out of three agents, one was dismissive and another was other condescending. A very poor check-in experience.
Stayed here while moving my student in, it’s a little further from campus than other hotels we’ve stayed at for previous Baylor visits but out of the 7 hotels in Waco we’ve tried this was the best. The extra ten minute drive was well worth it. Lobby is beautiful, pool area is clean and well maintained, and the sofa bed was comfortable enough for my six foot 250 pound 17 year old high schooler!
We drove up from Houston for the weekend. Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. The room was perfect! Very clean and roomy! The indoor pool and hot tub was perfect! The breakfast looked good, though we did not eat at the hotel. The bed was a little uncomfortable and the pillows were flat, but this is typical of a hotel. Overall this hotel was excellent and we will be back!
The breakfast variety is few. The pool chlorine is too much such that we couldnt stay there for more than 10 minutes. The front desk didnt get all what we requested beforehand, and we had to tell them again and carry all what we needed from there all by ourselves. The mobile key didnt work at all, and the front desk couldnt resolve it either. We dont feel thats a 3-star hotel, more like a 2-star one.
Property looks great, but public areas arent maintained well. Lots of ants around the patio, outdoor seats are dirty and pool has a very strong chemical odor! The room was much better and cleaner than the common areas. Also, no hand sanitizer stations in the lobby or public areas!
We had a very pleasant one night stay for a family of five. The room was very spacious for us and had a sink and extra tv in the front area where the sofa/bed is located. The room amenities are new and well kept and the beds and very comfortable. There is also a very nice back patio but we did not get a chance to use it. We asked for extra towel sets when we checked in and they had them in the room before we got there. They also had, for members, a free wheel to spin and play and win goodies or points. We won 400 points! It is very stylish and the staff is very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay again when we return to Waco!
This SpringHill Suites is so awesome! The staff is incredible. Check-in was easy and no issues. Breakfast was fresh and hot even during the busy times food was always there. The hotel is in a great location. Being a former manager for a SpringHill Suites this hotel is a rare find. To have an entire staff that is committed to the guest experience. This hotel make me miss working in hospitality.
Staff is very courteous and helpful. Main reason we booked this hotel was indoor pool for the kids. It was open and functional but so cold you really could not stay in it long so that was disappointing. We asked a number of employees if it could be bumped up but no one had a clue how to do that.
Hotel is clean and rooms are nice and big. Housekeeping did a good job of cleaning but failed to replace cups/coffee used. The night time front desk seemed bothered whenever we asked for something. The beds were too firm and the pillows were either stiff or old and lumpy. The pool was the best part and my kids enjoyed it while we were able to relax in the hot tub.
The hotel was fine. We got an emailed receipt that was correct. When we checked our credit card statements we were charged MUCH more. When we called they said it was incidental charges and we might get it back. No where on their website did it state this policy. Neither my daughter nor I were told that when we checked in at different times. There were no signs. The only sign was a sign in the elevator that said if your room was left trashed they might charge $50. Because of that sign both my daughter and I took multiple photos of our spotless rooms just in case. By the way, the extra charges were posted to our credit cards BEFORE we even left our rooms to check out. No one had seen our rooms. We loved the hotel but this has left a VERY bad taste in our mouth for Springhill Suites!!!!!
It was a great place to stay. It was our anniversary and want to get away. We stayed in a room with a jacuzzi, and it worked great and had enough room for two. The room was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had the breakfast and it was good as well. We loved our stay there and will be back again.
This was my first time to stay with Springhill Suites and I was very pleasantly surprised! The staff was very welcoming at check in and asked about our room location preference and why we were in Waco. My daughter and I had drove from north Louisiana to visit Magnolia Market and do some shopping and sightseeing for a two-day getaway. We thought the hotel was very welcoming. It was very clean inside and out. There were several nice meeting rooms available downstairs. I thought it was a huge perk that they had a bar downstairs!. The pool also had motorized chair lifts for handicapped people who would like to enjoy the pool. There was a very nice outdoor patio area for people to gather to visit in the back. I also liked the design of the room (double queens) because it had a door that separated the sitting/kitchen area from the beds for privacy. The only slight complaint I have would be to improve the choices in the breakfast menu. It was fresh and good and service was good, just a little on the plain Jane side of choice. However; I will definitely come back here and try to locate other Springhill Suites in the future!
The staff at this hotel is truly amazing. Very friendly and go out of their way to help you. Breakfast is delicious. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The beds are comfortable. You can even sign on to your Netflix account on the TV in your room. Very convenient. I would recommend Hotel this to all
Rooms smelled just like smoke. As a asthmatic and a having a child with chronic lung disease instances like these are unacceptable. I was under the impression that the rooms were smoke-free, but for two rooms to smell of cigarette smoke is unacceptable. I am highly disappointed.
By far one of the best non-luxury/boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Here are some of the highlights. The pool - indoors and a splash pad, perfect for toddlers! Water temperature was perfect. The free breakfast - by far one of the best complementary breakfast, nice variety, and the pastries were delicious.Gratitude - thank you note with free snacks in the room was a nice touch.A couple other things I noticed, the checkers game in the lobby is a fun way to kill time. The beautiful fish tank really captivated my little one. We requested a pack and play for our baby, it was in the room when we arrived, which was greatly appreciated since we arrived late. Also, right next door (walking distance) to the hotel is a Hat Creek, which is perfect for families! The only critique, the house keeping staff was a bit loud with their personal chatter. Which was a stark contrast to the front desk staff who were all professional, nice, and welcoming.
We came into town for medical appointments, but decided to turn it into a sightseeing weekend. The hotel was perfect for us. The beds were so comfortable and the room was clean and very nicely decorated. We felt very much at home. The staff were quick to respond to any questions and very friendly. Breakfast had great variety, and though there were many people eatjng at the same time it didn’t feel crowded. We will be back in October for more medical appointments and will definitely be staying here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
We stayed in a king suite with a pull out trundle and it was spacious and had everything we needed. The pool is perfect it has a kid area as well as adult pool and hot tub. Workout room has the basics which is all we need on a trip. Complimentary breakfast is amazing hot taste good and the staff is very nice.
Beautiful hotel with amazing staff!!! Brought my mom here for a birthday trip to Magnolia as well as my sister and this hotel accommodated is well. We each had our own bed which made the stay nice. The pool and hot tub were really nice. The breakfast was very yummy and had great staff running it. We will definitely use Springhill in the future!!!
Whenever we’re in Waco this is “our” spot. The staff is professional and friendly, Lauren is especially outstanding. Cleanliness is always a priority. The only negative is the lobby decor. It has become so dark it can be hard for those of us with limited vision to navigate.
This was the perfect hotel for our family. There was a giant fish tank when we walked in and our boys loved it. The rooms were clean, the set up was perfect for our family of five, the hotel was super clean, the rooms have a little fridge with a freezer, and the breakfast was outstanding. The staff was amazing as well...super friendly. I wish every hotel was like this one.
We were VERY pleased with our stay at Waco Woodway Springhill Suites. The suites were spacious with 2 separate rooms with tvs in both rooms. Our room was VERY clean with no weird stains, no hairs of unknown origin, and our white socks even stayed white after walking around the room. Beds were very comfortable (and were picky and have a name-brand memory foam bed at home). There was NO road noise, and all was very quiet! Breakfast was better than most complementary set-ups. Staff were helpful and polite. We dont have anything to complain about at all regarding our stay!!! We will definitely stay here again!
Great location thats close to shopping, food and entertainment facilities. The property is clean and well maintained. The indoor pool with whirlpool was GREAT FOR RELAXING. The staff are very professional and courteous. The breakfast was an enjoyable start for the day. Overall, my family enjoyed this property and will definitely be returning during future trips.
Nice rooms but they gave my room away to someone else and dinner looked exactly what food poisoning would be described as, flies included. No I have not had a good stay here and nor would I prefer to ever return.Edit from another stay.Room wasnt cleaned from last occupants. Food was on the floor of the room.
Weve stayed in a lot of hotels that promise accessible rooms. Many do not deliver. The two queen accessible suite with a roll-in shower at SpringHill Suites Waco Woodway had one of the best accessible bathrooms as compared to most accessible hotel rooms. There was a moveable shower bench and the shower head was height adjustable and in working condition. The cleaning staff thoughtfully left it in its lowered position after cleaning the rooms. In addition, there was a glass shelf provided for toiletries since the roll under sink provides little space for personal items. The room had enough space for a manual wheelchair to maneuver around and there was plenty of good lighting in the room. A pleasant surprise - I recommend this room style for any person that needs wheelchair accessibility.

2022-05-01This hotel is very nice! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They immediately welcome you with gratitude and ready to assist you in any way. As soon as I came down with my cart, they asked if the room was to my liking. The rooms are very spacious and well cleaned. They have a pool that has both a hot tub and kiddy pool with water a feature. They have outdoor seating that is very inviting. I highly recommend staying at this wonderful establishment.

2022-07-10Very comfortable room. We had a suite with a small living room - excellent layout and idea for a family to have just a little more space. The staff was helpful, the breakfast was OK - typical of a hotel. The pool was being serviced so it was out of commission (bummer) but the small health center helped burn off some energy and calories. I would definitely stay there again.

2022-01-31This place deserves 5 stars. It was updated, rooms were nice and clean. Pool is decently sized and indoors. The hot tub was hot. Bar was open and the employees were friendly. Checkout is noon (awesome) and free breakfast until 10am ( even more awesome). Definitely recommend.

2022-02-28Thomas at the front desk was extremely helpful and one of the kindest souls I have ever met. He helped us book the room and made sure everything was to our liking. I was unsure of wich hotel to book but after speaking with him on the phone he sold me onto Springhill. It was the best hotel experience my family and I have had. The rooms were very neat and clean and the atmosphere was friendly and professional. Erica and Debra were also so sweet and helpful during breakfast. We had our 4 children with us and they made sure we all had everything we needed and even turned some cartoons on for the kiddos. We will definitely be back in the future. We absolutely loved our stay

2022-04-14Older property, but very nice location. Friendly staff. Rooms are pretty clean, though I will say that the use of daylight temperature light bulbs in most of the fixtures is a miss. I definitely need warmer temp lights for evening time.

2022-06-25Pool being out during peak summer time is a big drag, especially for a kiddo who is ready to cool off after a long car ride. The elevator seemed unsafe. Once it got above the third floor is got extremely loud and sounded as if it struggled at that floor (even when it was empty coming up to us). The room was fine, probably the only thing keeping it from being a 1 star. The breakfast was cold, all of it. Super disappointed, especially at what we pay to stay there.

2022-05-15Spacious, well appointed room. Had 2 counters with sinks and well-lit mirrors and a third sink in the kitchenette. Lots of room for women to get ready, and still let others have free access to the bathroom. Easy to control and maintain temperature.

2022-05-03I didnt spend the night there myself, but visited the bar with a buddy. The place is very clean, and I mean spotless. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would love to spend more time in there, especially with the giant aquarium.

2022-05-06I rarely leave reviews on hotels but I feel wrong not doing so this time.I made my reservations at SpringHill and made a mess of it - wrong type of room, wrong dates.Thomas at the desk was incredibly professional and addressed my mess and made my experience pleasant. This occurred the weekend of Mother’s Day – incredibly busy. Despite being all by himself at the check-in desk; he answered two phone calls (while fixing my problems on the computer), after the calls THREE other people came to him for answers, which he answered (in an at-ease and professional manner and still smiling once they thanked him).Thomas …. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
