Stay Express Hotel Fort Worth in Fort Worth
Google maps has the address wrong as of 5/12/2022real address is 2000 Beach St, Fort Worth, TX 76103 and I think its closed down if not it sure looks like it, super creepy. The current address on this place is next to my moms house which is a grocery store.
Hair all over the floor, bathtub, sink. Stains all over the sheets, 2 towels 1 wash cloth for 4 people, air filters in air conditioner covered in dirt and dust, bathtub clogged. Key stopped working everyday 2 or more times. Floors made all of our socks black and dirty. Rooms do not smell clean no cleaning chemical clean smell what so ever. Did not feel safe at all. Never again will I stay here.
Nice quiet stay... A room you can smoj in, if your into that, but otherwise the only real good thing is location and proximity to Downtown Fort Worth, and the bed wasnt hard. Beyond that its just a motel with outdated decor and furniture and carpet that doesnt look very clean. We didnt hate it, and weve stayed in worse... But dont stay here if your used to any sort of amenities or youre a germaphobe.
The hotel is privately owned and looks run down from the outside. An entire building was boarded up. Pool, Fitness center closed and look abandoned they say because of COVID.. The actual room is decent. Low rates draw a low class of people. Some sort of fight broke out outside my room. It was quiet after.
It was decent at best. Very sketchy. Lots of shady characters walking around at night. A man was beating on our door. Demanding we open it, he had the wrong door but I feel sorry for whoever he was looking for. The room itself was alright I guess. The couch cushions had popcorn in between them. The mattress was also stained red. I wouldnt recommend this.
The room we checked into seemed like it wasn’t cleaned. Multiple hairs in the sheets, yellow stain on the sheets, performance pills in the bed, cigarette burns in the sheets of our non-smoking room, the carpet seemed wet, the faucets in the shower leaked and were basically falling off the wall, remote didn’t have a back. Definitely will NOT be back!
I would give no stars if I could.. I payed to stay on 7-31-21 after looking at their website .. it looked very nice with a nice big pool which was closed but their website didnt say otherwise.. once we arrived , the hotel itself looked abandoned besides one vehicle. Looked runned down and ugly.. I check in and went to my room.. it was hot and musty with lots of roaches.. I asked for a refund which I was denied.. they give me another room with the same problem.. it was disgusting.. needless to say I didnt stay.. do not waste your money here..
One star, and Im being very nice. Was charged $90 last night to stay in a room that didnt have running water, the heat didnt work, toilet wouldnt clearly flush, refrigerator in the room out of order. If the roads wasnt so icy we wouldve left. When we woke up the ceiling in the bathroom flooded, and when we told the staff, we were told theres no maintenance, so our room, and the room above is ruined. This place is a disaster, we wouldve done better staying home freezing.
I stayed at this hotel a month ago, and the price was cheap while the quality of the room was really well. I asked for a non smoking room — I have asthma and severe allergies — and got what I needed. Overall the first experience would be 4 stars. But upon my next stay, it was absolutely horrible. The price had gone up while the room quality plummeted. The guy at the front desk barely spoke English and was hard to understand and the first minute I walked into the hallway it reeked of smoke and I immediately could not breathe well. This smell continued to my room (which was again non smoking) though decreased a little. In my room, the ac wasnt on (in the summer) so it was stuffy and even when it turned on it didnt work right (even by changing the thermostat on the wall), the furniture was disappointing and old, the bed looked dirty, the toilet didnt flush right, the lighting was horrible, and when I layed on the bed I developed a bad rash on my legs. Upon inspecting the sheets, I found them not fully washed with holes in them and stained. The mattress was cheap and nasty, probably had bed bugs in the past.
I dealt with a few different employees during my stay. Most of them were not very helpful and seemed uninterested in being there.That being said, there is one employee - Dee - who was WONDERFUL! He was so very helpful and patient and he seemed very nice! It was so refreshing to see someone in such a good mood there to help everyone who needed it. And he solved all of my things quickly and with a great attitude!The rooms were not fantastic but I guess fair for the price. Our AC wasnt working and the water was iffy as to weather or not it would work.Definitely not in the nicest part of town, close to the red cross and a few homeless shelters.Overall, it was about what I expected when booking with the price I got.
We traveled to Fort Worth from Orlando. We had planned to stay a week but a minor emergency forced us to return early. We were able to change our flight but it didnt leave until 5pm. Checkout was 11 but I explained the situation to the manager and asked if we could check out at noon or 1pm. He told me that it was a $25 charge for noon and $50 for 1pm. I wasnt thrilled about it but I told him to charge my card $25 for a noon checkout. He said I would have to come to the office. I told him he already charged me $50 for for incidentals to just charge it to that. He told me no. I told him to forget it we would check out at 11 but I would never be back or recommend his hotel. He told me to get out and hung up.My only assumption can be that he doesnt care about his guests and that they really rent rooms by the hour if you know what I mean. DONT STAY HERE.
The noisiest inn we ever have!! We dont have a choice but to stay here cause we didnt book n advance, hotels around were full.. but I hope we just move more an hour or so to other cities.. the lady at the desk was mean too! We ask for upper and less noisy but she put us in the very noisy part and at the bottom. And she dont want to change our room.. DONT BOOK HERE!! Too expensive for a noisy funky smell dirty rooms !!!
I was very upset when I first got here. I am a disabled veteran that requires a service animal. I was very polite and informed the lady at the desk that I have my service dog with me. She proceeded to request proof that I require one which goes against the American Disability Act which I informed her of. They Als charged me an extra $100 for a deposit that the website didnt inform us on. We got to our room, the furniture was destroyed and a burn hole in the carpet. I took pictures of everything and took it to the front desk. That night couldnt take a shower because the shower was broke. Informed the front desk and the guy eventually moved us to a new room that had a working shower.
The worst hotel I have stayed in. The carpet is so dirty, it looks like it hasnt been cleaned in years. Entire place smells like a coffee can ash tray.
The pictures online are very misleading. If you book through Hotwire like I did and go into it with the idea that it is a cheap hotel you will be very satisfied. If you look at the pictures and think you are booking and expensive hotel you will be disappointed. The hotel had everything I needed, but everything looks a little dated. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave. There was plenty of hot water for the shower. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, cereal, and Waffles. They only had powdered creamer for the coffee and there was no fresh fruit. Overall I felt it was a decent hotel.
I will not be coming back here ever. I stayed here for a few days with some friends, and there were a number of issues to start. AC runs poorly and since they don’t keep the AC running in rooms it took a few hours for the room to drop from 100 to 70. No ice machines work, dead roaches, stained mattresses, and yellow jackets everywhere. The pictures posted are much better than the actual rooms and I will never recommend this place ever. We would have left for another hotel immediately if it hadn’t meant I’d be out money
This place was so nasty that we didnt even stay. The photos online looked fine and my husband booked a room. When we arrived the front desk lady was rude and asked us to sign a waiver in case our car was broken into or stolen. When we got to our room the maintenance man was inside tearing out the wall. He looked up at us and said this room is unavailable, Im ripping this wall out because its full of mold. We turned around and went back to the front desk to get a refund so we could leave and they refused to give us back our money.
Had to pay a surprise 50 dollar deposit, but we got it back at the end of our stay. Furniture was definitely well used but not in bad condition. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Pool did not have any shaded areas during the afternoon, but was spacious and there is a hot tub. Over all a nice stay.
We had our first family reunion.Service was excellent. Party rooms, accommodations and food was perfect for our occasion. The location was perfect for our occasion. Family had fantastic time from meeting for breakfast to swimming to evening gatherings. The food served was awesome. Rooms were good size and comfortable.
There rooms over priced hot tub in room didnt work and no one came to look at it said they could at 5 am in the morning which what was the point then also the tub had pieces falling off of it where u could be electricuted also the night guy as poor English and customer service skills they are not a very nice place nor nice people . I only gave it a one because I had to to give a review

Terrible place. The health department needs to close this place down. The nastiest place on planet earth.. You would do better sleeping in a dumpster with a pillow, you would be more comfortable. The bed bugs are huge. We did not stay. The staff was absolutely terrible. If you stay here and like this place, you nasty too
I dont know where they put those who were unsatisfied, but my experience was nothing short of a pleasure. It may not be the newest and Im under the impression that not all the rooms are redone, mine was great. The fixtures were old but the bed and bedding was new and comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was polite and eager to please. They even give two free drinks at the bar each night. I have no complaints whatsoever.
Not worth stopping there. Not a friendly reception.. rooms are not clean and not even a cup of coffee for breakfast... We will not be staying there again nor recommend it
Rooms are not worth it; police is in and out the facility. The hotel had hair in the tub and holes in the walls when I checked in. I dont believe the area is a good place to stay in. I was so tired from driving thats the only reason why I stayed there.
This place was disgusting and unsanitary. They also refused to refund my money even though I didn’t stay there. I just couldn’t stay there, that place was just a hot mess all around, from the rooms to the staff, bad.
This place gets 5 stars just for having a heated pool(working). You dont find many if any here in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. Had a great view of the pool from my room. Ive been to many hotels/motels and this place is very nice. Its close to everything
Dirty towels upon first entering room, burn holes in covers in a non smoking room. House keeping went through our personal belongings and stole prescription medicine. Rough part of town. 8 dont advice staying here!!!
Rooms are outdated and not maintained properly. Found candle wax in the jetted tub. It was obviously not cleaned properly. Had someone loitering outside our room. Called the main office and they told us to call 911 if we were worried. Our room was on the backside that doesnt have through traffic. There needs to be better lighting back there. Breakfast was great though!
Decent place to stay considering the neighborhood. The room was a bit stuffy when my wife and I walked in but the ac worked fine to clear it up. I could tell 20 years ago this place was probably upscale. A small gym was available to guests as well as a pool and separate laundry room. It has a banquet room, computer business area, and a separate dining area complete with daily breakfast(which consists of eggs, sausage, and hash browns with biscuits..also cereal for kids). We were lodged in the front rooms of the hotel which was noisy being located right next to a busy highway. The view outside was very pretty being located on hill overlooking the interstate and city and trees beyond.
Awesome place to rest. Very comfy beds. Only thing was there wasnt any breakfast. That was very disapointing
This hotel staff was friendly the room was nice and cozy. However the bathtub can be redone. Breakfast was good. What I liked is that it was quiet you couldnt hear your nieghbor. This location was very convenient to locations we needed to visit. Would stay here again.
HORRIBLE place. Walls were filthy and carpets were torn. The ceiling was coming down. When i got to the room the sheets were filthy, roaches, bathroom was unusable and the room smelled horribly. When i brough this to the front desk as I was not willing to stay in these conditions so I paid to stay at a different hotel, this place didnt even have the courtesy to apologize for the conditions of their hotel.I have photos of my entire experience that i will be that i will be posting online. This place should be shut down.
Had a ton of roaches and a pile of dog shit in the hallway, I informed the lady up front and she told me she would comp my night because she had no other rooms to move me to and it was very late and I didnt want to drive around and look for somewhere else to stay so I stuck through it for the night. The next day my card was recharged the full amount and when I called about it I talked to the GM, he was very rude and told me that I couldnt prove anything was wrong with the room and they do not do refunds under any circumstances. I have been to this establishment several times without issue but I can assure I will not be returning
Terrible customer service. Also, things dont work in the room, like faucets, heat, and the fridge. Right before I checked out, the room above started leaking, and when I told the clerk, he didnt seem to a any sense of ergency. $90 is too much for this place, they need to take a zero out.
Dirty room. Water damage falling from ceiling. Fans in bathrooms didnt work. Mattress was completely broken down. Full breakfast was supposed to be included in our paid stay. There was food or coffee!!!!! If that was because of covid restrictions......? It should have been relayed to us before payment? Outregous cost for what we received...... the only good thing was the two person tub
I booked online like all rooms I stay at. The first sign of trouble should been 3 people ahead of me spoke no English. Took the desk clerk long time check them on. Second warning should been very few cars in the parking lot. Third sign problems at hotel they required a deposit even when room paid in full with credit card. Dont let lobby fool you it looks ok not good stay for us. Plugs by bed dont work. Lamps for bed dont work. Cracks at cieling and walls. Dirty furniture and curtains coming apart. Painting of the walls real bad work done. Bed was just ok but not a good nights sleep. Choose another place to stay.
From what was told on phone by clerk was different from mgr told us upon arrival had to pay extra $20 to check in early & mgr was rude, room took hours to cool off. room was way too expensive and charged a $50 deposit on top of that. Toilet was wobbly when you sat on it, felt like it was going to fall over. would suggest staying somewhere less expensive and more friendly.
This hotel is a good option when you need to start in the area. Nothing spectacular about the room, but has what you need. Breakfast was surprisingly good and had more that you might expect, being hot, fresh, and free. However if having a cemetery in the parking lot bothers you, dont stay here. I was totally fine with it.
Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. Entire hotel is in disrepair and smells of cigarettes. No cable tv in our room, and the front desk would not answer the phone. When our travel plans unexpectedly changed, they would not grant us a late checkout (1:30p.m.) and so we were charged for the additional night.
Got in late around 11, because the hotel makes you pay a $50 deposit, one of my cards got blocked. It took till 1 am to get registered. Brackfast was your typical powde eges on paper plates. I was hoping I could grab breakfast , take it back to room , there is a refrigerator and microwave, but a rude Indian woman yelled at me , that I could not take a plate of food to my room. So I threw it away , and checked out of this dump.The room seemed ok but I only slept .There was a large hole in the bed cover..And the carpet is worn out.They advertise $64, on their own website and charge ,$70 plus s50 deposit , so the $50 will be on hold for 7 to 10 days.
First, it was the nicest and most succleded jacuzzi suite and Ive ever stayed at. HUGE room and so spacious. The bed was incredibly comfortable. However there jacuzzi wasv where I dont the most time. It was gigantic!! The mirrors around the tub made it a wonderful place for a photo shoot I had that weekend. I had never stayed here so was sceptical but I will always go back here. Especially, for a romantic weekend. Thank you. We had a wonderful time.
We stayed there, cause I assume for the price it was a great deal and the layout on the web site looked great. Look like it was located in the projects. As soon as we checked in, we asked about the 2 complimentary drink per person, they said they didnt have that cause of no liquor license, I think we passed a woman that was a hooker sitting on the steps and smoking, we got to the room, wife said that my friend was in the room, I looked it was a roach, we seen roaches everyday in the room. They had no cold water in the room, sink had warm and hot and the shower had warm and hot water. The pool water was hot when you got it. The only thing good about it, the AC worked really good, would I stay there again, NO!
Had no choice as other places sold out. Staff was flat, not welcoming and cheerful, lobby had food smells. Breakfast was good and the rooms appeared clean. Motel was very old and in need of maintenance. Doors had gaps underneath, floors were crooked. Just needs a major update instead of milking whats there.
When we got to our initial room, we were greeted with a dead cockroach, ripped carpet and furniture, two non-functioning phones, hot and humid air, and a musty odor. Thankfully, Christina, the lady who came to dispose of the cockroach, was very kind and helped switch us to a different (more recently remodeled) room in a different building. The new room was better; it had clean carpet and overall felt more hospitable. I would rate the initial room a 1☆, and the new room a 3.6☆. The front desk was rude and unhelpful, but Christna from cleaning staff was a lifesaver. Additionally, the hotel falsely advertised a shuttle service to the convention center, but turns out that was none, so we had to find other transport.
Stayed at this hotel, and it is the worst. The rooms are not very clean, theres roaches, the pool has bricks stacked up on the sides from damage, the staff in the office arent polite, the mattress under the sheets were stained. Dont waste your time are money, drive down town are elsewhere, but dont stay here. Didnt see bed bugs, but wouldnt be surprised if I did. The office attendant pretended as if she was just now aware of the pest, and problems of the hotel, BE AWARE! !!!!!! Will be reporting them to the state, because of the condition its in. Also the lobby looks nice, but dont be fooled.
The only thing I love about this place is room layout. The double Queen suite layout is basically 2 regular rooms joined by a door (or like having 2 adjoining rooms), which is nice for family stays.Otherwise everything else from amenities, to cleanliness to parking to c/s to breakfast is mediocre.Also, I know its just a policy, but this place doesnt want you to take breakfast back to the room either which is ridiculous! BUT weve always done it this way... Its family tradition that my kids wake up to a waffle in bed!Is that a foreign owned policy only, or is it all of them now? (So far the ones who enforce like its life or death are foreign owned. 🤷)Will probably be back but primarily for the room layout, coz the prices arent special either.
This is an old hotel that has had some inexpensive updates. I carefully looked and did not see any bedbugs or cockroaches reported by other guests, but was very cautious. Some odd smells in the room, such as the smell of paint when running water. Positives: low room rates, comfortable bed, full hot breakfast, close to downtown Fort Worth.
Rooms are nice sized. Needs better maintenance (staff?). Service staff at front desk is always friendly. I dont know about the breakfast, I leave too early to know if they have complimentary or not.
Worst service I have ever received. They will try to rent your room out from under you and randomly lock you out of your room. Housekeeping is nonexistent so good luck getting new towels after day 1. Bugs and rodents are both present along with a sullen and unhelpful front desk. Dont spend too long in the parking lot or you will be accosted by homeless beggars. There are literally no redeeming qualities in this place. Go to the motel 6 next door.
Good price, but hallways smell like stake Indian food, cigarette burns in blankets, and no elevators.Even non-smoking from set off my allergies.
It is a very large property. I booked through expedia and they cancelled my reservation, fortunately the owners honored it at the same rate!! I stayed two nights. In a king kitchenette (smoking). I love that the smoking rooms are actually outside rooms, non smoking are inside. They are clean, located directly off of the highway. They have a beautiful lounge. Atm, decent vending area. The only reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is *)they are located beside motel 6*)Breakfast is not included. Its a friendly an safe property even located next to the 6. I believe they have night security but they definitely have AUDIO& VIDEO SURVEILLANCE.
Bed bugs! We were on our way home and had a blow out o the interstate around midnight. We needed a room at a very late hour and we were grateful to find this place, AT FIRST. It was way too expensive but we had no where else to go. It seemed alright when you walk into the lobby but our room had cockroaches everywhere and there werescketchy people walking around the grounds everywhere.. We were willing to deal with it until we woke up 2 hours later with BED BUGS crawling all over us!! The front desk did not want to give us a refund, he kept urging us to just go to another room but we refused. This place was nasty. It took my very large boyfriend yelling at him to get him to refund us, but he wouldnt do it until he saw them himself! We did finally get a refund after he looked for himself and we had to find another hotel at 2AM!
The rooms are decently furnished and have it where it counts. While the hotel may appear shabby from the outside with old paint, old carpet, and broken fences everywhere as well as being under renovation, the accommodations are excellent for the price. What the hotel lacks in appearance it greatly makes up for with amenities. The rooms have a microwave, refrigerator, large flat screen TV, coffee maker, as well as comfortable beds, cold AC, and all the typical hotel accommodations. Unlike many hotels at such a low price, Stay Express has a buffet breakfast where there is more than just waffles and cereal. There was also (on the morning we stayed) eggs, hash browns with onions and peppers, biscuits and gravy, and an assortment of pastries and beverages along with other food. The hotel also has a heated pool and jacuzzi which is clean and warm as well as being open year-round. The location is very accessible and is one turn off of the interstate. Overall it is a great hotel despite the appearance and it is especially great for the price. I would definitely stay here again.
Horrible. I booked a non smoking single room (not an adjoining room) online, at check in I was told it was a smoking room I could upgrade to non smoking room for an additional $25 but it would be 2 full size beds instead of the queen. The halls smelled like animal and human urine mixed with body odor and strong marijuana. We got insect bites from sleeping in the bed and felt like something was crawling on us all night. They painted over the mold growing in the shower.
The staff was extremely rude. They seemed very judgemental. And for as much money as we spent it was not nice. Much better to go to motel 6 next door. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Plus the rooms are cleaner and cost less
The room was a clean and the air worked well. It was a bit dated, but everything was in working order. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was more than expected. There was a lot to choose from. A very good value.
Stayed there this last weekend...The kitchen staff is very friendly, and the front desk person in the morning shift is very friendly also. There are ROACHES in the rooms... W found one the second night and we called front desk to let them know, he changed us to another room, and we saw another ROACH in that room also, which makes me realize the whole building is infested with roaches, and the guy in charge does not seem to care about it. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Definitely this hotel needs lots of cleaning and lot of pest control. not recommended at all.
We checked in late at about 10:30pm. The room was nice so we thought. We checked the sheets the bed everything looked good. So we went to sleep to be woken up by rats or a rat. All night long we could hear him cutting up paper. So we get up to investigate and found the paper he was cutting up. We tried to sleep all night he cut up paper. The next morning we called the front desk to let them know. No one ever came. I told them at checkout. The lady said sorry for the inconvenience. Not a good night. 🐭🐁🐀🐀🐁🐀🐭🐭🐁
The hotel and room was awful! the hotel hallways looked like something out of a horror movie. There was strong cigarette smell in our room even though we were told it was a smoke free room. We did not even stay the two night stay we had pre-paid for because of how bad it was . We were told we would receive a refund on one night and the $50 deposit but I still have not received anything This was for the nights of May 4th and 6th . Definitely would not recommend.
They are thieves and will definitely take your deposit. The security is clearly on drugs and the staff are unprofessional. The rooms are dirty and have bed bugs. Dont be fooled by the picture. Crack hotel ran by foreigners who could care less. Stay at your own risk!
Front desk....very kind and helpful.Housekeeping.....the exact same!Felt safe in the unit I was given. Although there was not a shuttle, getting to the Stockyards was quite easy. Great location for easy access to many activities in Ft. Worth.
My husbands family had their first family reunion last month at Stay Express Fort Worth. We were well pleased with our stay there and found the staff friendly and helpful. The banquet room was beautifully decorated and the food provided was wonderful. We would definitely consider another stay at Stay Express Fort Worth. I would put zero stars if I could! This hotel had cockroaches and when we went to the front desk to tell them about it they said that they could only change our rooms if we wanted. They didnt even bring an exterminator, it was like they didnt care ! When i turn on the heater the smell is gross. Where has the health department been. Its a good thing Im only here for one more night, cant wait to get out of this place.
The customer service was excellent and the rooms were very clean. The woman who checked us in was extremely helpful and friendly. My occupation requires me to travel to the Dallas/Fort Worth area often and after staying at a few different hotels, I have definitely found my favorite in Stay Express Hotel.
Price was much higher than expected and the quality lower than expected. Several occurances of roaches in our room, poor availability of rooms, and the overall cleanliness and structure of the hotel leaves much to be desired. For the price per person you could stay someplace nicer, easy. Seriously consider other options before staying here.
Great place and nice room.friendly staff and breakfast was delicious. The indoor pool was open it was clean and also had a whirlpool. The beds are huge and comfortable and in room it has a big size TV. The little kitchen is also great it has a full size fridge and dishwasher. A real kitchen with plates and cups.
You would bé better of sleeping in your car on the side of the road than paying or staying here! Terrible place to stay and they call their place a hotel!! No professionalism at all!!! Price is high for the stinky nasty place!!! They dont care about you too!!! Youre not safe here!
The staff is horrible, had bed bugs just laying up in plain site on the sheets. The bugs were hugs. Pipes broke in the bathroom and water went everywhere. The place looks like a roach motel. The photos and reviews on Expedia are not accurate at all. DO NOT STAY HERE YOU EILL REGRET IT!
First off, if you are looking for customer service and politeness, dont look here. Unclean, NOT SAFE, and the Staff was extremely rude. The doors to enter the hallways with the rooms wasnt ever secured, no card key needed to enter and it being in a sketchy part of town didnt make me feel safe. Also, there are signs posted to park at your own risk, and I know why now. A vehicle was broken into but the hotel wasnt able to provide the police footage so it was basically, your loss we had signs posted. The room s we stayed in wasnt clean, a red splatter was on the shower curtain, I had to clean the bathtub before giving my daughter a bath due to hair and other things still there, and the mattresses on both beds looked like they hadnt been changed or flipped for awhile due to the middle was lower than the sides.. In a separate room, that I paid for as well for my parents, on a different floor, the room my parents stayed in had cups with hair in them, like facial hair from shaving, there was a liquid on the floor that was dark and dried, it was obvious neither the floor in the bathroom, or the carpet in the room had been cleaned from the previous person staying. Staff was extremely rude. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel and I will not ever stay there again.I got charged for the rooms (which I authorized) and an additional unauthorized $90 charge due to an unknown reason and when I tried to call them to ask, using the hotel number listed from my priceline confirmation email, I got an error message. If you ask me, you would be better off paying extra for a different cleaner, friendlier, decent hotel.
I feel like I should have been paid to stay here. 1. Roaches 2. Bloody handprint on bathroom door. 3. Metal pieces coming out of the ice machine. 4.Unclean room with ceiling about to fall in. Last but not least rude staff, and the crackheads and hookers.... but entertainment if you can see out of your fogged up window.
The hotel is a bit out dated and needs some upgrades as far as doors working and what not but overall the rooms are very spacious the free breakfast,parking, and the affordable price made it worth while. Definitely a good choice if you are working with a low budget. The distance to downtown is very short 7 minutes at most. Over all pretty good.
Not much to look at, but the beds were amazingly comfortable. It was nice having the breakfast included, and the breakfast attendant did a great job keeping up with the high demand of a citywide convention weekend. The Area shuttle service is no longer available.
Ill tell you what they looked over me the hole time and must I say my friends. Iam yet here. Im going to make this place my home. God is good to me, I tell you all around me is what I need. Im right by the bus stop there are convenience stores where you can get gas grocery stores where you can get food even the place you can go to school theres a bank across the street I park down the street tell you the truth Im right here by downtown I dont know how some good peoples some people come here are good and some are bad . This hotel was not clean. We found a dirty sock in the room and then blood on the mattress (unfortunately when we were leaving) and the bathroom was nasty. Breakfast food was ok but you got drilled when you walkes in about your room number and how many people were eating. Very Unfriendly and we will not be back.
My niece and 2 sons stayed there, found bed bugs in their bed next morning. They were traumatized left there in a hurry. Asked for refund was denied. They had to go wash all of their clothes in hopes of not taking the bed bugs home with them.
Its true the rooms are out dated and a bit run down, but the history of this place not to mention we stayed in a presidential suite several years ago when I proposed to my wife and it was in better shape. I did notice the new ownership has left the place for worse. Hate it because we wanted to go back every 10 years or so and at the rate they are letting it go we might not get to come back.
A lot of reviews mention bedbugs - I only saw bugs in the bathroom (those were plentiful, however). Felt a little uncomfortable about the area but it was pretty cheap and my car wasnt broken into. All in all a decent hotel.
It’s an overpriced crack house hotel. Reeks of cigarette, outdated, dirty and it falsely advertises their rooms. It’s gross overall and the fact they charged us $70 a night is quite insulting. This is more like a 35$ dollars a night hotel. Bedbugs and other nasties come free.
I wish there was a button for ZERO STARS!!! I booked a room (executive suite with Jacuzzi) went into the room smelled like smoke and didn’t want to get charged for that out of my deposit. The guy working the front at night came checked out the room and switched us. He walked us to the next room and the heater was broken!!! He then walked us to another room and it had no tv or fridge!!!! So we had to downgrade and STILL made us pay the same price as the suite and now it’s room has tv but is static and lines across the screen so you can’t even watch it. And when I went to take a shower as soon as I turned the water on the side of the tub began leaking water. We called the front office AGAIN and all he said was he’s tell the morning desk person to give us a discount when we check out in the morning!!!! I will NEVER come here again!!! We’ve moved 4 different times to different rooms tonight and something was wrong with each one of them!!! This is ridiculous!!!!!
If all youre looking for is a place to lay your head then this is it. The hotel is nothing fancy and is conviently located 10 min from downtown fort Worth. However if youre thinking about bringing your pet here you might want to reconsider.I brought my 6 month old puppy to stay with me during my visit and it seemed like every employee was absolutely terrified of my 35 lb pup.One example of this is me bringing my pup back inside after he had done his business, we ran into an employee leaving a room. As soon as she turned around and saw my dog she gasped and pressed herself back up against the wall and then back into the room she came from. My dog, who is leashed and by my side the whole time, isnt attacking or barking at her, but just starting cause that reaction is new to him.We stayed for 4 days and something similar happened on the daily. Along with being asked multiple times if we had payed the pet fee...Im not asking them to fawn over my dog or even like him, but if you run a pet friendly hotel, you might want to at least get used to the furry beasts...
Staff was nice, rooms outdated and in need of remodeling, room was clean except on some areas like behind the night stand. Excellent breakfast cooked there in the morning. Excellent shower water pressure. I would recommend if you are looking for a place to rest and be close to downtown.
Pros: The beds are pillowtop and incredibly comfortable. The rooms are clean.The free breakfast buffet with waffles, eggs, and sausages was great.Cons: The hallways are unsecured and anyone can enter and walk around. I had a couple guys knocking on my door in the early morning, but had the wrong room.The shower water went from incredibly hot to scalding hot. I had to let it run for 10 minutes before it cooled down enough to be bearable. I had never experienced anything like that.
Disgusting, roaches were everywhere in the tub, sink, on the table, behind the bed, so many creepy crawlers. The hotel would not offer a refund. The person was not at the desk, the manager was a jerk when I called, and said I should have come to say something even though there was no one to be found.
This place does not get enough credit! My husband and I travel for work and we have been everywhere. This place is clean, comfy, great customer service. Beds are so comfortable! Room service twice a week.:)
Pretty decent rooms for what you pay for. Clean pool and rooms. Decent breakfast. Hotel staff...not so friendly. Indian guy at front desk is too lazy to type credit card in. Instead he will talk to you like you dont understand how anything works. Also he doesnt understand basic math. Fire your staff and it would be rated higher
If you dont mind a visitor or two this place is for you. Cockroaches and random guy walls into your room when your about to jump in the shower. You get what you pay for. Def not recommended unless you dont care. Pay another 20 or 30 bucks and get something else. Wont ever stay there unless its like 10 bucks. The a/c works, bed was clean and big size tv. Thats it. Close to downtown that was not bad.
We reserved a king size room and were notified when we got to the hotel that ot was a glitch in the system,there were no king size rooms available. But the worst part is that there was no ac turned onin the building or in the rooms so its super hot and uncomfortable!!
Room was clean, but a little dated, bathroom could use updating in the tub/shower area. Comfy bed and good amenities. Breakfast was above and beyond expectations. Great value for the price.
We stayed for a wedding that was taking place in hotel and we werent pleased with lady at front desk. We were not aware of the cancellation policy when we called to reserve. We tried cancelling one of our rooms and they told us no. We also had 2 dirty tampons and roach in our room. Breakfast and lady were in area was nice but front desk clerk was rude and arguementive. Never again we stay at these hotels.
Roach crawled across the bed.Its a cheap hotel, so expectations were very low, but Stay Express still managed to fall below even the lowest of expectations.Awful customer service. Good customer service doesnt cost the hotel extra--it only takes effort. They are terrible.Do NOT stay here. DO hire their photographer who managed to make this rat trip look decent.Youd be better off sleeping in your car.
Stay Express did an awesome with our family reunion!!! The rooms for our event were nicely decorated and well maintained. The staff made our event very memorable. This is Fort Worths best kept secret. I highly recommend your next event at Stay Express Hotel!Semper Fi!
First of all, I never write reviews because I know stuff can happen & people screw up sometimes. But everyone deserves to know how awful this place is.1. The pictures online make it look beautiful- it was outdated with holes in the walls and scratched up, dirty furniture.2. We were charged an extra $50 on top of everything else we had already paid for.3. The room was disgusting!! Uncomfortable bed, sheets were stinky, carpet was gross, a/c barely worked, bathroom was dirty with a shower head that sprayed water everywhere except on you, hair dryer didn’t work & definitely had bed bugs. I could go on & on.4. I normally have my little Pomeranian with me 24/7 everywhere I go, unfortunately we had to leave her at the hotel for a few hours & when we came back she was cuddled in the chair TERRIFIED. I truly believe someone went in our room & messed with her.5. There’s no grass outside for dogs to use the restroom.6. The pool is disgusting and there’s no shade.7. The people who work there are SO rude.8. It’s in a very scary location, I didn’t walk outside at all unless I had my husband with me.The ONLY good thing about this place was the lady who cooked breakfast, she was so helpful & sweet. Please DO NOT stay here if you have small children or dogs especially. Very unsafe & the most disgusting place I have ever stepped foot in.
I loved the room. It was clean. Sheets and pillows were new. The bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was hot and good, complete with Belgium waffles.
Bad customer service. Scary water stain on ceiling. Over all feels unsafe and skeezy. Loud noise from highway all night long. Barking dog next door. Broken air conditioner. Cant have extra blankets. DONT STAY EXPRESS!!Staff is unbelievably rude, and yelled at me for asking them to do their job, the couldnt care less about you. Rooms are disgusting as if they never cleaned. Rooms reek of smoke, everything is covered in dust, its so dirty that I refused to take my shoes off when walking anywhere. I also found Roaches and ants. Shuttle broke down twice. Food is decent. I dont know how their rating is 2.8 bc anything over a 1.5 is false advertisement! If you ignore this post you will regret it!!
Had to go to Cooks Hospital for my sick 13 year old nephew. I had never really stayed in fort worth. I found a coupon for $49 a night. Every other hotel was $99 and up. I had never heard of this hotel. I was hoping that for $49 is wasnt a dump hole. I called and spoke w/the manager Cheryl. I explained my situation and she was VERY VERY professional...courteous and sympathetic to me and my family. She told me not to worry about anything...just come on is what she said. I got there and I was very impressed by the lobby and how big it was. I guess Cheryl heard me checking in and said are you my baby that was coming in and she walked to me and gave me a giant hug and said if there was anything at all I needed to let the staff know and she would take care of it right away! She impressed me so much. They also have a bar inside the hotel. They give 2 drinks free before 6:30. Now the guy working the bar was not as impressive but he was ok. He did serve hot drinks...no ice that day. I got the room and went to go check it out. The room was really neat. Flat Screen TV on the wall. Bed was made nicely with big fluffy pillows. The pool and spa area was nice...it was closed but it was still nice. I loved the buffet style breakfast. They had everything. It was delicious...not like some places that give you a banana or cereal. Everything was great! Will be the only place I stay at when I am in town.
I came to the hotel about 23:00 at night, after my two days trip to Lithuania from Scotland, the receptionist werent working. I was very tired. The room was dusty, I have found about 8 spiders, the bathroom wasn’t clean and the worst was the bed... Beddings were nasty and dirty, I have found hair on it and ugly marks. I tryed to call 24/7 hotel help line, but nobody answered, so I just left the hotel, because I couldn’t sleep in the bed like this. The other day I came to the hotel, tried to get my money back, but the receptionist was very rude, she told me that she couldn’t help me, because she don’t have the money. Then receptionist told me to call the owner of the hotel, as she said she have never seen him in her life. He didn’t answered. So receptionist gave me half of the money, and pretended that she don’t have no more. So I Just left... I didn’t want to be in the place like this anymore. I really don’t recommend it.
If I could give this hotel 0 stars then I would. I will never ever stay In this hotel. I had huge roaches in both of my rooms. There was a huge one in the hall way just laying there. The second room had a discusting shower and a plumbing problem to where the water wasnt draining while I was showering so I had to get out and wash my feet separately and wear my sandals in the shower. The attendant Avi was so rude and told me I had to talk to the manager in order to get a discount on my room who wouldnt be in until 10 or Then he told me he didnt know who the manager that was coming in is. He didnt have a name to give me. That is obviously a huge lie if I ever heard one. The vent in the bathroom leads directly to the next room and had the smell of cigarette smoke seeping into my room when we specifically asked for non smoking. The neighbor In the connecting room was smoking cigarettes so it seeped under the connecting door. We were stuck between two smoker rooms. If you could find another place then I would suggest you do. Not to mention we werent informed that the dining area was under construction so we didnt receive our continental breakfast. This was just a horrible stay. Do not not stay here.
This was the worst experience in travelling that I have ever had in my 55 years. Keys didnt work 3 times. Maintenance tried to switch us to other rooms, each was either occupied unknown to front desk or not serviced by housekeeping. The one we ended up in had sopping wet carpet. Emergency lights in the hall ways were missing and dangling wires where they once were. I got the impression we were in the middle of a bad movie. Overly primped up ladies in and out of hotel with what I assume was their employer pacing the parking lot. We were never offered an apology or refund. How they are rated 3.2 stars indicates to me that the business associates that roam the parking lots are helping them with their ratings. DO NOT GO to the this hotel or should I say Motel.
It’s as if this place was nice many years ago and then a family bought the establishment and has run it into the ground. The customer service is nonexistent and I would say that the staff is honestly racist. My entire family had such a horrible experience here with the maltreatment, the roaches, the inadequate breakfast and the staff being so disrespectful that for no amount of money would we ever stay here again. The place is indeed falling apart.
The first room we had was a Suite was a nasty filthy room that was not clean and lacking supplies. Overpriced for what we had. JACUZZI tub was good. Staff lacks people Customer service skills.. The living room area AC was out , there were mice in the water closetsRoaches in the areas that the microwaves and mini fridges are and BEDBUGS. Room deposit was $150 which was refunded but at a total cost of $172, grossly over priced.We made the mistake of staying Sunday to Tuesday morning. We should have known something was wrong when the desk clerk insisted that we give a $50 cash deposit when we returned late Sunday night. Monday afternoon as my buddy was returning on foot from work which is less than a mile away, he is stopped by security and told very rudely ro leave because I, Bill Elliott had left and gone to Motel 6. We had paid for Monday at 10:45. This happened at 5:45. I got downstairs and Sean told me what was happening so I went to the desk to find out what they were talking about, and the clerk said that a mistake had been made because Sean did not look like the man that had arrived the day before with me. Sean had shaved and cut his hair before going to work and he really cleans up beautifully and I told him so. When the clerk saw him upclose, he agreed that they were wrong.Here it is on Tuesday morning and that we must move rooms because two people of thesame sex cannot be in a room that only has one bed. Meanwhile, because we kept a back pack for a friend named Matt, who came by then to get it at that time, this security man decided that we had to leave by 11am anyway because we allowed a person to stay over and made other false accusations. When I went to the front desk, he refused to refund our deposit, was very rude and condescending, and when he realized that I was recording the entire time, attempted to assault me. When he lunged across the desk at me, he said that I was illegally making a recording, to which I told him that I had every right to record what was happening, as I backed away, I commented that he attempt to assault me, refused to give back our cash deposit, and refused to give me all receipts for our stay. He also implied that it is still illegal in the State of Texas for 2 men to rent a room that had only one bed in it and that we were evil men.I have already posted that this establishment is not LGBT friendly on Facebook and am,at Im still considering seeking a lawsuit against them. When I called two days later, the desk clerk refused to let me speak to a manager nor give me the number for the corporate office. There are bedbugs, Roaches and people that are not courteous staffing the place. The only good thing I can say is the breakfast buffet is still good and the staff in there are more friendly. Sad to think the only good review is the food.
Stayed there for A-kon this year, got a big room, was quiet, comfy and no problems at all. Im sure if anyone else stayed in our room they would have nitpicked about the worlds smallest issues. No problems with staff. Well, maybe a small one; the lady at the register somewhat harassed our black friend when he came to have breakfast and began questioning what room he was in and what his name was. But I think it was because he was kinda dressed like a homeless dude anyway lolAnyway, we plan to stay there again for next years A-kon. Definitely recommend it if you want something a little more cheaper.
We had a suite to accommodate family of five. Room was dingy and dirty, our bathroom smelled, gave us the wrong coffee maker and when I called about it, front desk assumed I just didnt know how to work it and took two hours to send the correct coffee maker, they have a policy against giving extra pillows so there were only pillows for two people in the room, our heater was broken, and on... it gets an extra star just because the jacuzzi tub at least was clean and worked, but honestly, Ive had better rooms and service at a super 8 for half the price. Well never stay here again.
The outside looks a little sketchy but once you get in the room its quite nice. The room is very nice, bed is nice and comfortable.

The hotel is very old and needs some updating. The woman who checked us in could use some updated people skills too. The gentleman that checked us out was amazing and if he had set the tone the night before my review might have been different.
The staff was awesome! The room was very clean! The pool was amazing and the breakfast was great! I have nothing but great things to say about this hotel! My family and I enjoyed our stay very much.
Has an absolutely amazing breakfast every day. To the gentleman mr.D that works at the desk he is absolutely awesome remembered me by the first name and always greeted me every morning. There is some rain or renovating being done so if you stayed before and not like youre staying I recommend trying it again I will be next time Im in the area.
This hotel is horrible. We checked in to our first room and they only gave us one bed and there were roaches in the bathroom. I went back and told the man at the front desk that didnt care to much about the roaches. So we get in to our second room at 11:30 at night and the air conditioner doesnt work right and in the morning there was no working hot water.
This was the worst hotel that Ive ever stayed in. The health department should shut this bed bug infested hotel down!! We were literally scared to sit, stand and move in this room.I cant believe that anyone would think this place is fit to sleep. Go anywhere but to this hotel!!! The staff made the situation worse by being rude as hell.I had to select a star hit yhey really dont deservr one. SMH
This Hotel should be closed down!! It was a huge rat trap!!We checked into our room at midnight after driving 4 1/2 hours, and it was supposed to be a NON-SMOKING ROOM!! It smelled like a dirty ash tray!! When we called down to the front desk to tell them we were told they were al booked up and could not be moved to another room.Good thing I brought Lysol and Febreeze!!Then the bathroom floor had army ants all over it. were afaid to set anything down anywhere. did not want to take anything home with us that we did not come with!! Called the front desk AGAIN, and they sent a maintenance man up with a can of bug spray.I sprayed EVERYTHING DOWN with my lysol hoping that we would not come down with something. We tried to get a refund for our room, and they would not refund, or move us to another room!!The health dept. seriously needs to shut down this hotel!! It has no elevators, or carts to help you with your luggage. The carpets smells like cat urine, and has to be older than dirt!!The front desk offers no help to their guests at all that are unhappy!!

Booking the room was easy and the breakfast was ok. The staff was awesome. The price was on point considering we were there for a convention and it was about 5-10 min away. We didnt experience any issues.
I’m a long time traveler for work and have stayed in a variety of hotels and this one here was by far the worst place I’ve been in the 20 years of traveling. Where do I start , everything from the staff being very unfriendly to the room having horrible smell and broken light fixtures. Please everyone do your self a favor and ignore any good thing u might hear about this place
Worst hotel ever!! Went for A-Kon and when we arrived they lost our reservation and we had to pay for another room and when we checked out that following day since my boyfriend couldnt stay with me cause he had to leave for a family vacation and couldnt return til that following weekend we were told that he was the only one who could get the deposit back and said that he could come back that weekend and get it so he did and they said he couldnt get the deposit back cause the 24 hours had expired. And the staff had such attitude and they have us wrong information and lost our reservation. So long story short we had to pay 2 times for our room and we lost $100 because they have us wrong information. WILL NOT BE RETURNING HERE
I worked at this hotel in 1976 while in high school. Very sad. I wanted to stay due to location. I lasted 6 hours and left.
Price is cheap so you get what you pay for. I have stayed with Stay Express 3 times. The past 2 times were good, but this time i was placed in a hole in the wall. Room was outdated and torn up. Holes in walls, cracked walls, carpet pulling away from wall and floor, broken shower that shoots water accross the room and worst of all bugs. Woke up to cochroach on pillow. I reserved a room for 6 night and only stayed 2. The 2nd night I only stayed because I had been drinking and it was late when I found the bugs. As I was packing my things to leave I overheard an argument from another guest with managment in the hallway. The other guest had complained of cochroaches as well and wanted a refund. Managment threatened to call the police because they refused to pay even though he had multiple pictures of finding cochroaches in his room and bed. STAY AWAY FROM STAY EXPRESS!!!!! NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. I was so disgusted i paid for the 2 days I did stay and left ro find a new hotel.

Dont go to this hotel I had things missing from my room. The first night I stayed there I was so tired because I drove from PA. I just fell asleep and my friend came into my room the next day and pointed there was coffee all over my sheets that I was unaware of. They had dirty sheets on my bed. The last day I was there I left my pink clarisonic and I called and they said they had it up front with my name on it and I kept calling to make sure. They told me to send an envelope with a return address and they will send it back. I call today and now nobody has no knowledge of it. After I spoke to two people that said it was upfront. Never again will I go back!!
The Worthington is a well-maintained, well-located hotel with attractive, clean rooms and a friendly and attentive staff. It is close to a number of excellent restaurants. It has a reasonably well-appointed exercise room (albeit a bit overly air conditioned) and welcoming public spaces.
The booking agency tells you one thing but when you get to a hotel and find out it.s not what you wanted they refuse to help you find another hotel and then decieve you into checking into the hotel for one night where they will then charge you without helping you. And when you are talking on the phone with them trying to get redress for their wrong they keep you on hold on purpose until past check out time to cheat you again. They are not handicap accessible at all. They are a very bad place to stay. Warn everyone never to stay here.
Misleading with pictures of establishment. This hotel is run down dirty uncourteous & Professional staff. With dirty dingy amenities bed bugs. And in a very unfriendly and un safe area with unsavory characters loitering in the parking lot and on the street. Would not recommend this to anybody I know
Management needs to learn they dont know what they are doing when releasing funds back to the bank. They still have yet to give my deposit back yet they claim they released it blaming it on the bank. Ive been with my bank 10 years and know as soon as it gets sent its added right away. The room was ok, the bar was nice they really need to work on knowing what they are doing and stop assuming. I just didnt have the heart to tell them plus i dont think they would have listened.
They guy that checked me in and checked me out was nice. Just a little freshener and new linens it’s almost decent. Lower the prices for what is being offered. Could possibly bring in more customers
The room smells nasty had to spray airfresher, the bathroom was also nasty shower curten needs to be washed, toiletset was broken, the walls had paches that need painted, it doesnt have a fan in the bathroom. Carpet need to be cleaned.the hall Capet need to be fixed tripped on it. I learned my lesson never get a cheap hotel. U wont ever know what your getting into tell u get there the website picture were nice not the place . Downtown, no cameras, feel unsafe. Needs to put more money into the place.
This filthy place has a young woman, a friend who is pregnant, forking out money for a room with no lock on the door, wasps flying around, air conditioner is clogged up with dirt and dust so its not blowing cold air, telling her she has 10 minutes to pay the extra $40.00 or else. She said she would rather wait for her husband, he repeated you have 10 minutes and he saw her walking in this heat and humidity in her condition. This Pakistani run facility is horrible and they dont care about anything except American money. I will be turning this over to the BBB as well as posting this.
Desk staff was very friendly. I checked in on a friday. My stay was longer than i expected so i had to pay for a couple of more day. When i went to pay for the extra days i needed to do a split pay the MANAGER said something that was very inappropriate to me. The area is known for prostitution so i guess he thought that was why i was there. I had on basketball shorts & a t-shirt nothing revealing! He said that i could wait before i paid for the extra nights because the split pay wouldve been complicated. I told him that i would wait for my friend (my ex-husband) then come down & pay. Long story short. I went back & still had to do the split pay. He said you know you put it on Ray-ray lastnite so tell him to come pay for your room! i was in shock so i was going to wait for the manager to inform them needless to say i found out he was the manager. Smh! This morning i asked a housekeeper for new towels she said that she would bring them to my room. I waited for 2hrs then asked again & was told by the same lady to ask the other housekeeper for them. I had somewhere to be so she never was going to bring them! That had me livid!! So overall my experience was bad. Im trying to reach corporate as we speak. Save your money & frustration.

I give it 3 starts only because it was one of the cheaper hotels in the area. Dont be fooled by the fancy website this hotel is not a luxurious hotel by any facet. first the place isnt to far from the hood so be careful where you go. Second dont expect much, the main lobby is really nice, again dont be fooled. Once I finally got into the building where my room was at I almost turned around. As other people mention in their review the carpet was nasty, 1970 heater units hanging from the ceiling. The place is obviously old. Once I got to my room and the key didnt work, but Ive been to 5 star hotels and had that happen, I opened the door and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms have been updated (or atleast the one I got) and where on par with something in the 3 to 4 star range. Wifi was fast, no HD on the TV but I had stuff to do anyway. So if youre a singe guy looking to save some $$$ its a great place, if you have the wife, shes probably going to make you leave and ask for a refund from the some what crass attendant at the front desk. He is NOT friendly. So maybe ask to look around first because im pretty sure he may take you out if you give him any problems.
This place was horrible. Service was no existent. Had molded water in our coffee pot. The woman behind the desk came around the counter and got in my wifes face trying to provoke a physical altercation. Unbelievable! Advertised a heated pool and laughed in our face when we asked if it was on. I would never stay here again!
Even if this hotel wasnt in the hood, even if the rooms were fairly priced, even if the rooms had working appliances, Id still rate one star. The staff is rude, arrogant, condescending, and they dont like Mexicans. Just avoid this place and save yourself the trouble
Outdated for sure, not a friendly staff, shuttle driver seemed annoyed that he had to pick us up and when we checked out the shuttle driver (different guy) decide while driver to look at his phone, not cool. No working seat belts in the shuttle. False advertising as far as we are concerned. Wont stay again...dont recommend
The occasion for being there made everything else not so bad. We had a suite and I had a choice of using the better of two bathrooms and the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
Was good, only thing is for how many different available rooms I believe they had they suck someone right beside you. Other than that overall was good, breakfast was great!
The rooms were nice and clean. The service was prompt and courteous. This is what a hotel should be like!
This was the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at if it wasnt for the awful smell, tobacco on the bed sheets and overall unsafe environment. I mean Ive been wanting matching Pjs with my wifey so this gave us a great excuse to buy some so our skin wouldn’t touch the sheets.
It was a very nice place, very quiet and the beds were very comfortable.
One word bedbugs 🐜This is what I woke up to this morning crawling on my neck. So I called the front desk to report this I took a picture and the gentleman at the front desk looked at me as if I was crazy. Had I gotten bitten before today I would have reported this to them on Friday but it happened this morning and I reported the incident I do not recommend this hotel to anyone besides crackheads and prostitutes someone who absolutely doesnt care about this kind of BS also this was a hotel booked through American Airlines so you see what kind of businesses they deal with 0 stars but I gave 1 in order to post
Worst experience ever! The front desk employee was rude and the place is raggedy. When I first arrive there was young thugs in and out of the hotel smoking and drinking. The following morning there was a hobo asleep on the hallway floor this place needs security. Only good thing was the complimentary breakfast.
The location was a bit sketchy looking but one inside the building it looked alot better. There was no one to greet or direct us to the room. The building was clean but out dated. It was also a bit unsetaling knowing there were also no attendants 4 hours later at night who were aware of who was going in and out. The one staff member who we did encounter during the event wasnt able to guide us to a restroom. Event was beautiful attendents lacked alot.
The room smelled like smoke, and the bathtub was stained. I also found several small bugs in the bed. I understand the budget hotel idea, but certain items are expected.
Its official, they have bed bugs. And after showing them my bites and Hospital paperwork. They act like what ever, what can I do about it.When I asked for the Manger she said its the holidays. I said I know and Im the holiday meal.I would advise staying away. Unless you like to gamble.
Bed bugs bed bugs bed bugs,over priced, covers had cigarette burn marks, ac did not work worst hotel I have ever stayed at, no breakfast, no pool, no fitness center.
Oh my goodness their breakfast was off the chain good. Harvey, biscuits and a host of other choices is a breakfast eaters dream. Thanks so much for making my family stay a treat.
Dont go here. They are slow. They have terrible service and they take forever to check room after for deposit anything left behind is gone. I wouldnt rate this place. Its a 0. I had to put a 1 to post. They dont deserve a 1. Terrible service twice.
Absolutely terrible. In a very bad part of town. Had homeless people begging for money every time I walked outside. The mattress was completely caved in, woke up with an aching back. Excess furniture stacked up around exit doors. Noticed some exposed wiring. Exterior walls peeling away from building. Dont drink at the bar, the prices are outrageous.
The staff is rude, the decor and style is outdated, did not feel safe during my stay, and the pool was dirty. The only good thing about this place is the breakfast and beds!
Front desk woman employee mess up our account! We already paid for the nights of august 30 thru 2th sept 2018. This morning went and paid for monday night, got back to room, check bank account, she had charge for the nights i had already paid for 246.00 dollars. Now i must wait till after the holiday to get my money back!!! From the bank
Going to make it short & unsweet. Carpet- sticky, dirty & made our feet black. Toilet and sink cracked, loose wood under carpet. Soft bed springy, dirty, stained and burnmarks. Bed side tables dirty inside & out , bed skirting torn & stained. Bathroom sink & shower not cleaned & wall had tooth paste on it & something white on it & found hair on bath towels. Something questionable on wall by trash can. Phone didnt work. Ceiling falling off in hallway of hotel. The most absolute rudest night desk man. Didnt tell us we would be charged double if we left early & charged us for another night & we werent even there.
Terrible. Staff was rude. Threatened violence on checkout. No HBO. No breakfast. NO POOL. Never again. Ill pay more to stay anywhere else!!!!
This place almost killed me. Seriously. I was outside smoking and a large man who couldnt stop chewing on his own lip walked up and asked me for a hit of my cigarette. When I refused him a drag of my smoke he stabbed me 4 times, once in the thigh and three times in the abdomen. He was stabbing me with a filed down piece of plastic that came from one of the chairs in the spa area. I fell to the ground in front of the office and started crawling towards the door. As I look up the lobby attendant was locking the door. I screamed help and his response was sorry guy, this stuff just happens around this area. Housekeeping wont be back in until tomorrow so Id rather you not bloody up my lobby. He then refused to contact police or medical services because he said Im not a snitch. So, there I lay expecting to die for several hours until a van from Oklahoma pulled up that almost ran me over but spotted me thanks to the insanely large puddle of blood. Turns out it was a van of 3 medics here for a EMT conference. They took me to the local ER where I was stitched up and filed a report. I also learned there that I had contracted scabies and hepatitis c from the Stay Express within my first 4 hours of laying in the bed in my room watchin MTV. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this hell hole. Also I still have charges pending against management. The only perk of this place is the local pizza joint down the street called Dminos. Real new york pizza but the drivers dont carry crushed red peppers or parmesan on them. Also there were at least 22 roaches in my room which means there are probably 40,000+ roaches in the building. Beware.
Place was under construction and we werent told about it before we checked in. They were banging on the roof of our room until 630pm even after the front desk said it would be over by 6pm. The phone worked only on speaker mode, the microwave didnt work. My laptops could not connect to their wifi only my cell phone connected. The front desk made me uninstall my antivirus saying it was my fault somehow the wifi didnt work( even though it was working fine EVERY other place like Starbucks or McDonalds and other hotels). Wifi never worked had to use my phones data on hotspot and connect my laptop wirelessly to my phone. Morning time exactly at 8am they started construction outside our window. Couldnt get sleep. Found a giant roach in the bathroom.
We came from Houston to visit my sister and the weather was not on our side so we stopped here around midnight , check in clerk was very friendly and courteous the, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the AC was awsome had a great nights sleep got up and went to get breakfast the clerk told me about I was expecting to see coffee cereal and muffins to our surprise the food was awesome they had scrambled eggs and homemade skillet potatoes homemade biscuits and gravy homemade waffles coffee oj apple and cranberry juice it was great. And finally a place where the WIFI ACTUALLY WORKS :-) and the pool was nice and clean all included in a very reasonable price I am very happy and will be back did I mention the room was very clean and the beds were really comfy and the AC was Awsome very much recommend
The place has no phone books in the rooms or any menus to local restaurants.there was only 2 pillows on each bed. Would not supply a rollaway to me unless I would upgrade to a suite. The only friendly staff were the ones working the breakfast and the security man. This hotel did not have any info or discount tickets for the stockyard.
Needs major repairs...wall covering fall in hallways. Bath tub tile has 1/4 inch gap in in grout line the entire length of tub. Will not stay again. This is not a 2.5 star hotel as advertised.....more of a 1
Employees were beyond rude. Was not told their WiFi was down upon registering. When we called about it we were told by employee thats not my problem. Management promised us a discount that still has not gone through. Doors to the building were never locked yet we had to walk to the front desk to receive our delivery. Will not stay there again.
Wouldnt even give them a star stayed there the room was clean but we got bit by bed bugs we told the staff the next morning after we found them. So they gave us another room then we had the housekeeper came in and stole some of our stuff out of the room they wont do nothing about it so we made a police report never will stay there again the staff are not friendly they are lazy and will hang up on u
Room not clean. Shower head # while I was in the shower. They put new one on. But I had to wipe down the mess myself. Dresser drawers were dirty and I cleaned them out.
Didnt want room service so I put up the shhsign. I got it anyway and they cleaned the surface of a cabinet under the TV and threw away my IronMan designed cable wrapper in the process. That sucked but during else was ok. Free breakfast and free WiFi. Cool.
Checked into hotel and went to room which was very mediocre and was about 50 degrees. After an hour of being there the room maybe got to 55 degrees. Decided to not stay and tried to get a refund through Expedia and the hotel and the management at the hotel would NOT give us our money back even though we did not stay. Terrible customer service. Would not give them the time of day.
This place looks a little ringing down but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The shower had plenty of hot water and it is close to Downtown Ft Worth
The service was terrible and there were a large group of people smoking weed and being disruptive while the manager/employee was reluctant to do anything about it. Definitely would not recommend to anyone and I would say with full confidence that anybody could easily find a better hotel near by.

We had a terrible experience. They pocketed $60 we payed and now charging it to our card The only person that was friendly was the maid. Definitely would not recommend staying here. Not worth the money or hassle
Rude and unprofessional. There is literally no other way to put it. Not sure if they nick and pick who theyre nice to, especially when youre trying to explain about being given false information just to be cut off rudely repeatedly. Am pretty sure the person I spoke to pretended to be a manager just so he could speak to me in such a way. I can see why the reviews are low.
I think you can use the word uninspired in place of unpretentious but overall is a good value to stay close to downtown in a clean and safe hotel with lots of parking for free. Cab to downtown is 10 bucks.
Decent choice if you get a good online discount. Spacious room and nice bed but with that cheap-motel chemical deodorant smell. Friendly service. Skip the terrible buffet breakfast.
The location is a rough but it seem to be a well liked overnight stop. The rooms are a little rundown, but they are clean. The rooms are cheap and they have free breakfast. So not bad, but not awesome.
Overall very good stay, staff was friendly and one gentleman held our luggage for us while we were out for the day and we were able to pick it up after checkout for no additional cost.

We got to n late last night. Slept great until the roofing company woke me up. Ask the front desk and he stated he works the nightshift and doesnt know if they will be back tommorw. The people around here dont know much! Would never recommend this place!

Let me start off with the rooms were clean and the décor was good I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and the complementary breakfast.... But the staff sucks when we first arrived the guy who checked us in was pleasant but didnt explain what he was doing with my credit card but the black guy who worked over the weekend was so rude and disrespectful on more than one occasion after breakfast one morning I was bringing food from the dining are and he screamed at me I understand they have rules but its a way to explain without being rude and disrespectful hes just ruff and disrespectful even when checking out he was so rude.. I would like to speak with someone in upper management to explain further
It a nice place to be. I stayed 3 nights in two different rooms. Both were clean and had a fridge and one didnt.
The security guard is a stalker. He harrased my wife. The manager apparently lets this happen because the gaurd has been warned before. Hes also an x inmate. They steal whatever they can. They double charge your card
Carpets in hallways were disgusting, holes in the floors where whatever used to be & never patched up. Overall prayed that I wouldnt leave with some sort of infection. If ot wasnt 1:00 am & benn at the hospital all day I would of found something better.

It wasnt the worst by far. But twenty extra bucks for a non-smoking room seems a little high. It should be the other way around. Other than that it was pleasant.

2022-06-09They are remodeling so the room was kinda new. Clean. The water for the shower doesnt get hot but for us was usable. Ours was ADA compatible so no bathtub. Water from shower ran all over the bathroom floor. Get extra towels....lol Bed was comfortable. Service was good.

2022-05-14I made a reservation 24 hours in advance on the Ft Worth hotels website and received confirmation for a king bed smoking room, only to arrive at the hotel and be told the had neither a king bed available or a smoking room. The attendant on duty made no effort to get us a king bed or a smoking room and was rude in telling us that wed just have to take whatever was available.We took our business elsewhere.

2022-01-20Cigarette burns on the sheets in what supposed to be a non-smoking room. Pool was advertised on hotels.com. no pool. Bathroom has not cleaned from previous guests. Booked for my elderly mother and sister. I am horrified by their experience and photos

2022-04-23My partner and I made a reservation through the hopper website for this hotel. We had an upcoming event that started at 3 so we tried calling the hotel many (many) times to try and schedule an early check in. With no answer we were hoping to be able to talk to someone in person upon arrival. When we arrived the man at the desk (who said he was the manager) said that he was unable to get us an early check in. When we expressed our frustration for not being able to check in and also not being able to contact the hotel AT ALL for the last week, my partner said a single curse word, the manager then canceled our reservation completely. We now have nowhere to stay for our weekend event and can not find another hotel because we don’t know if we’re even going to get a refund. Their website also said that dogs can stay for an extra 20 a night hand the manager said that is no longer true. We’re going to stay in our car in a walmart parking lot, and it will probably be better than this hotel anyway. Very disappointed, every business should be available for contact, I wish I could leave 0 stars.

2021-10-03So first of all theres $50 deposit on what a room that has no water pressure at all filthy no hot water straight in the lobby waiting 20 minutes someone to show up just to get our $50 deposit back. The staff is rude and very non-existent .. b they refused to do anything so dont waste your time, anywhere is better. Next time Im going to sleep in my vehicle rather than staying there because I have a better experience
