The menu selection is minimal. Nachos were a hot mess with nacho cheese poured over the entire basket. We ordered wings as the nachos were inedible. The wings came from some baby chickenThe restaurant has so much potential. Its sad the server agreed the food is horrible.Where is the Management?!Totally disappointed.
Horrible food, lackluster service, sticky tables. The food is obviously old frozen food that is reheated. Our waitress was very nice but maybe lacked experience. We had to request needed things for our meal. She did give us a 15% discount when we told her the food was very disappointing. I appreciate that very much.
Service was slow even when we were the only people in the restaurant when it was busy staff seemed to be running around like chicken with their heads cut off. Both days there was a young girl she served me the first day and she never smiled at all. I was wanting to leave a good tip but the fact that she never smiled was not very customer service friendly
Came to Barbacles while camping at Lkae Texoma, not realizing it was a hotel bar/restaurant - didnt expect much going in but was wildly impressed. Great food and excellent wait staff (2 young ladies) that effectively managed multiple tables, both inside and out in the rain!! Excellent experience!
Service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive.Food is alright. We had the pizza and chips and salsa. The quality of the ingredients are not the best, but thats to be expected from a hotel. I ordered a mojito and it had an overwhelming flavor of peppermint instead of mint which was off-putting.
Service awful. staff was cussing and being super unprofessional. coming from a family who is all in sales and owns their own business- this is NOT how it is done. don’t go unless you want to wait an eternity for your food!! i TRULY feel bad for anyone who has a thought of going in and dining here.
The place has a fun and casual atmosphere - people come here to have fun. Our servers are working very hard to please tho they’re both very new and could use more training. The menu is great with a variety of pizza, burgers, paninis, etc...They have a Keto menu, which is a really cool idea. But, we ordered wraps and, instead of coming with fruit as pictured, we got giant French fries. Also, despite another reviewers complaint about the wings, ours were Delicious. There just weren’t very many. 👍🏼
This has got to be the worst service and food I’ve ever had at a resort! The chef doesn’t know the meaning of the culinary term “julienne”, as he simply tore pieces of lunch meat and cheese for my wife’s chef salad. Did I mention that we had to ask for silverware? Even after the salad was delivered? Which happened to only come with a fork, so that my wife had to pick up the chunks and tear them with her teeth to get bite size. My sandwich was supposed to be a pork extravaganza! It had two small pieces of kielbasa, a very thin cut of tough ham, and about two tablespoons of pulled pork. I had to ask for extra bbq sauce, as the cook squirted two little circles of bbq sauce on the top of the bun before he put it together. My Bahama Mama tasted good but I was wondering where the rum was. Switched to Shiner Bock. At least there I know what I’m getting. If you want to spend your afternoon amongst a herd of tattooed twenty somethings and eat terrible food, this is the place for you!

2022-06-17Tanglewood was extremely disappointing. The food was bad, over salted, cheap tasting, HAIR IN TWO DISHES limited menu options, etc. the staff didn’t have knowledge of the menu, nor did the kitchen it seemed, unable to explain why some items had gluten and others didn’t. Waters were not refilled, tables were dirty with no seating system, service was slow. Overall, w very disappointing experience, especially considering the price! Ana-belle was our serverThe bathrooms were shared with the pool near by. They were dirty,, soaking wet.We will not return and do not recommend the experience to anyone.

2022-06-21On a whim, decided to try a new (to us) place. This place is Not New. Lol. The entire place is very dated. No real signage to assist in finding it either. After driving around the place we finally parked and walked into what seemingly looked like an old best Western from the early 2000s. Entered to a hotel lobby. The receptionist was kind enough to point us to the bar and grill.A short walk and downstairs and youre there. There were two waitresses and a bartender all in the bar area who signaled for us to seat ourselves. Then they disappeared. About 10 minutes later the waitress appeared again and took our drink order. No drink menu and no specials or recommendations. Got a few bar drinks. They were good, fine. Nothing to write home about but made properly. Ordered the house chips with dip its homemade sliced potatoes deep fried, with a Sriracha ranch. No seasoning on the chips which were way over cooked and about 2 oz of sauce in a 6 oz plastic cup.Ordered the wings and a salad. The one thing that was really pretty awesome about this place was that they have the Noahs dry rub wings this is in beloved memory of Noah Colbert. He was a friend of mine and even worked for me for a short time in Little Elm several years back. Apparently he had worked for one of their sister locations when he passed suddenly a few years ago. Still to this day they are honoring his memory with his signature rub. Thats pretty awesome! The salad was good. Used lots of lunch meats and a spring mix.The wings were way over cooked. Super crispy. To the point of crunchiness. Overall they werent very good. But to be able to pay homage to an old friend...well let them slide. Overall, probably designed for a captive audience or those staying at the property. Will likely not return soon. Very dated, hard to find.

2022-03-06Worst experience at a restaurant ever. 1 hour and 45 minutes for burgers and sandwiches. 20 minutes to be seated, dirty tables, get your own napkins and silverware and dont expect drinks or food to be timely. Good luck trying to relax or enjoy a meal here. Staff untrained and uncaring.

2020-12-27I have met with friends at Tanglewood a few times and this time brought my family. Wonderful place, great views, and I love Barnacles food and Julian the karaoke guy! Fun times any time of year!

2022-07-11Advertised hours are until 11:00. We started getting pressured to leave before 10:00 and rudely told to get out at 10:03.
